An animated zombie movie and yes it’s awesome [Video]

I realize that zombies are all the rage these days. From Zombieland to Jane Austin with Zombies we have become fascinated with all things risen from the dead. For the most part the whole genre is becoming as overdone as the zombies themselves.

But then along comes A.D. an animated movie about the zombie apocalypse. In some fashion the artwork reminds me of the video game Borderlands but from what I have seen of the trailer this is actually one zombie movie that I’ll end up watching.

Here is the trailer courtesy of the folks at Zombie Info

Alexandra Burke Heads to Haiti

Alexandra Burke is going to Haiti to help with the relief efforts.

The ‘Broken Heels’ singer is to fly to the Caribbean island to assist aid workers attempting to cope with the aftermath of the two huge earthquakes which hit Haiti in January, killing hundreds of thousands of people.

Alexandra, 21, said, “When I was asked to go and see things for myself, I didn’t hesitate.

“If I can raise awareness about how much support is needed then I’m there in a heartbeat.”

“I don’t think anyone can prepare for what it will be like but I will try to be strong.

“Watching the news was like a disaster film, but this was real.”

Alexandra is also one of a number of stars to contribute to Simon Cowell’s Helping Haiti charity single, a cover of R.E.M. song ‘Everybody Hurts’, to raise money for the nation.

The track also features Take That, Susan Boyle, Robbie Williams, James Morrison and Cheryl Cole.

Alexandra is the latest in a line of stars to personally help Haiti.

Actor-and-pilot John Travolta flew in aid supplies in a borrowed plane, while musician John Mayer is donating royalty payments from his song ‘The Heart of Life’ to the nation. He also donated $500,000 to aid relief.

Other celebrity donors include Jennifer Aniston, who gave $500,000, and couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who handed over $1 million.

Ashton Kutcher Knew Demi Moore Was ‘The One’

Ashton Kutcher knew Demi Moore was ‘The One’ when he realized he could hate her.

The ‘Valentines Day’ star, who married the actress four years ago, believes the key to a lasting relationship is being able to put up with another person’s bad habits and still loving them for their flaws.

He said, “I think one thing sort of defines it which is, it’s not how much you love someone when you love them, but it’s how much you love them when you hate them. It’s when you’re in that moment where you cannot stand what the person you’re with is doing, but you still love them. When things get tough it’s not what you say, it’s about what you do.”

Ashton, 31, also claimed good manners are the key to being a good partner, and says he learned how to treat women properly from a young age.

He explained to Parade.com, “My brother had a heart transplant when he was 13, and my parents were at the hospital a lot so I went and I stayed at a friend’s house. And his mother was this really wonderful, wonderful woman that sort of taught me a bunch of things like table manners and how to treat a woman – pulling out her chair, opening the door for her.

“So while my brother was in the hospital, I basically learned etiquette and how to use it when you’re dating a woman.”

Drew Barrymore Won’t Spend Valentine’s Day With Boyfriend

Drew Barrymore won’t spend Valentine’s Day, February 14, with her boyfriend.

The 34-year-old actress, who is rumored to be engaged to actor Justin Long, tries to be a loving girlfriend every day and so doesn’t want to turn the romantic festival into a big occasion, opting to spend it with her single pals instead.

She explained, “I don’t really think about it very much other than just to be with the people you love. I don’t think I’ve ever done that really conventional romantic thing.

“I like being with my friends and having a fun time. I feel so bad when that holiday makes people feel really bad, it’s not fair.”

The ‘Charlie’s Angels’ star, who recently made her directorial debut with ‘Whip It!,’ also spoke about her love of filmmaking, saying the best part of being behind the cameras is finally feeling able to put across her true self.

She told Self magazine, “Just being able to convey my own human heart into a cinematic venue. I just wanted to talk about family and life and love and friendship, and trying to find your way into empowerment in life in a way that’s also fun and funny. For me, it’s just really trying to express myself into a film.”

Drew sparked speculation she and Justin, who she has been dating for two years, were planning to marry after her relationship status on her Facebook page was reportedly changed to ‘Engaged’.

Roberts, Eastwood and More Lead Oscar Snubs

Los Angeles, CA, United States (CNS) – Of course Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep are in the list, so are George Clooney and Jeff Bridges. But others weren’t as lucky. Diane Kruger, Marion Cotillard, Julia Roberts, and Clint Eastwood are just some of those who got an Oscar snub.

The nominees for the 82nd Academy Awards were announced Tuesday, with James Cameron’s “Avatar” and Kathryn Bigelow’s “The Hurt Locker” leading the nods list.

Although the Best Picture category has been expanded to include 10 films instead of just 5, “Star Trek” and “Invictus” were probably still not good enough to be included.

“Invictus” earned stars Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon mentions for best actor and best supporting actor respectively, but Eastwood was left out of the best director category.

“Nine” stars Cotillard, and Daniel-Day Lewis also weren’t called. Penelope Cruz was the only actress from the bunch of stars in the film nominated for an Oscar.

Some of those snubbed from the prestigious list include “The Hangover,” “(500) Days of Summer,” “It’s Complicated,” and actors Roberts, Rosamund Pike (“An Education”), Tobey Maguire (“Brothers”), and Jeremy Renner (“The Hurt Locker”).

Courtney Love: Kurt would find Guitar Hero 5 “really funny”

“i think Kurt would despise this game alone let alone this avatar.”

So said Courtney Love on how she thought Kurt Cobain may perceive his digital likeness in Guitar Hero 5. The above claim was tweeted by Love back in September 2009, but now things are different, it seems. In an interview with the NME, Love says her late husband would find his appearance in Guitar Hero 5 “really funny.”

“What pisses me off the most about it is I think Kurt would be fine with having five Kurt Cobains singing the (Spice Girls) song Wannabe, like, ‘Tell me what you want, what you really really want,’ Love told the music mag. “I think he’d find that really funny.”

Oh great, so you’re dropping that lawsuit against Activision then, Courtney? Oh …

“But at the same time it’s gross what they did. Gwen [Stefani - another stroppy star suing Activision for how her band No Doubt appears in Band Hero] started the lawsuit. I have really good lawyers now and will join that lawsuit.”

So in conclusion, Courtney Love:

1. Thinks Kurt would despise Guitar Hero 5.
2. Thinks Kurt would find Guitar Hero 5 really funny.
3. Is still suing Activision, despite signing away Cobain’s likeness on a contract.
4. Has a coke mountain that’s looking a little low.

Great, glad we got that all sorted.

Report: Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend split

The Daily Mail is reporting that Charlize Theron and longtime boyfriend Stuart Townsend have split, although Theron denies the couple have parted ways.

Theron, 34, and Townsend, 37, have been an item for nine years. Much has been made of the relative success of their careers, as Theron has featured in many high profile roles and won an Oscar, and Townsend’s work has been far lower in profile. The Mail quotes Theron on the effect of the disparity on their relationship:

Charlize and Townsend met in 2001 when they co-starred in the thriller Trapped. Her career subsequently took off, thanks to films such as Hancock and Monster, for which she won the Best Actress Oscar, as well as a £10million deal to be the ‘face’ of the Christian Dior perfume J’Adore.

But her boyfriend has enjoyed less success, with credits including a supporting role in The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen and a starring role in the American television series Night Stalker, which was cancelled after just six episodes.

Charlize – whose latest film The Road opened in the UK this month – once said: ‘Living with another actor, you always feel guilty if things are going your way and it’s not going that way for the other person.’

Sources say the actress has been spotted in public several times since Christmas without her “commitment ring.”

DC Comics’ The Losers trailer – nothing but fun

I don’t get very excited about movie trailers because most of the time they end up being the better than the actual movie. In this case however I am really hoping that this trailer for the new movie The Losers is only a sample of how much fun this movie is going to be.

Never mind thought provoking soul searching acting or brain sucking sugar rush inducing romance there’s nothing better than totally wasting 90 minutes or more watching a movie that is just mindless blow shit up good.

Welcome to The Losers.
