Coachella 2013 advanced tickets went on sale today and within hours were sold out for the event, with no confirmed music acts lined up for the event.

Advanced tickets for the 2013 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival were scheduled to go on sale today at 10 a.m. with general admission passes going for $349 and VIP passes going for $799. Within two hours the first weekend’s general admission passes for April 12-14 were sold out, with VIP passes not lasting much longer after that.

By 2 p.m. both general admission and VIP for the second weekend, April 19-21, were already sold out.

Camping packages for the event, which includes accommodations at the Lake Eldorado section of the campgrounds, are still available with either general admission or VIP tickets. General admission package starts at  $2000 for two people and $3400 for four people. VIP packages are $2900 for two people and $5200 for four people according to Press Enterprise.

Some camping, parking and shuttle passes are also available.

Sales continue until May 24th and according to Coachella’s Facebook page:

“The price you see is what you pay – prices reflect all fees included.”

The Wall Street Journal reported that although it has yet to be announced, it’s more than likely the Coachella promoters will do a repeat of this year and have the same bands appear both weekends.  The lineup for Coachella ’13 is likely to be announced shortly before the release of remaining tickets early next year

Coachella is one of the premier music festivals in the world, attracting tens of thousands of fans and some of the biggest names in music, which have included Paul McCartney, Jay-Z and Radiohead over the years.

The festival is expected to have a general on sale early next year.

Tiger Wood’s ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, and billionaire businessman Jamie Dingman are no longer dating.  A friend of Nordegren was quoted by PEOPLE having said:

“She says Jamie’s a great guy – and they’re still friends – but I think it was just too early [after her divorce from Woods] for her to get serious with anyone.”

Reports earlier in the week indicated that the couple’s romantic relationship may have been heating up were apparently false, as her friend stated:

“Elin finds it hilarious to read news about her that people make up.”

Nordegren is currently a resident of North Palm Beach, Florida, where she’s currently studying psychology in college while raising her two children.  While juggling her kids and school, the mother of two is also overseeing construction of a new ocean-front home for her and her family.

Construction of her new home should come as no surprise to those familiar with the demolition of her 17,000-square-foot Florida home; a home which cost an estimated $12 million.  The residence was supposedly demolished due to bugs and hurricanes which left the home in poor condition.

Onshore Construction and Development’s Dan Reedy was quoted by PEOPLE having said about the demolition:

“It wasn’t built to the South Florida win-loading codes of today that were put in place because of hurricanes. We had an architect and structural engineer out here and everyone agreed that it made more sense – structurally and economically – to tear it down and start over.”

Walt Disney network executive Sean Bratches revealed in an interview on Tuesday that his company is considering a move that would bring its WatchESPN service application to Apple TV, a move that would require viewers to first authenticate their cable TV access before they could view the applications programming.

Bratches also revealed that Walt Disney is:

 ”A platform-agnostic content company. To the extent that in the future there’s an opportunity with Apple to authenticate through the pay-TV food chain as we’re doing with Microsoft, that’s something we will participate in.”

This is not the first time ESPN has added online content viewing capabilities for customers, the company has been attempting to extend its reach for months, including an Xbox 360 application that is already avaialable for Verizon FiOS and other select cable providers.

In the meantime most major league sports networks already offer a la carte options that can be purchased through Apple TV, a fact that could allow ESPN to offer a similar package outside of cable TV bundling. A WatchESPN a la carte option would like come with certain blackout restrictions based on IP region identification, thus continuing the practice of stopping certain sports broadcasts when local networks own those airing rights.

While Apple typically demands a 30 percent cut of app fees its still unclear what type of deal Apple and Disney Corp might be working towards. As a hyper-targeted demographic network ESPN demands higher royalties on cable TV and satellite when compared to other broadcast and cable networks.

Barbados beauty Rihanna has once again sparked quite the controversy as the 24-year-old pop icon published pictures of herself, on May 14, 2012, virtually topless during a photo shoot for her latest single’s new video.

Pictures of the Barbadian recording artist and actress were published on Rihanna’s Facebook page under an album titled Behind the Scenes on “Where Have You Been,” which contains 188 photographs from behind-the-scenes of the set of her new Where Have You Been video.

The video itself, disregarding her latest controversial images for a moment, has received well over 27 million views on YouTube since it was published on April 30, 2012.

The good girl gone bad’s behind-the-scenes photos feature her naked from the waist up, painted with textured body paint intended to appear as reptilian scales over RiRi’s breasts.  In regards to her crocodile-like appearance, ChristianPost.com wonders:

“[...] has Rihanna finally gone too far?”

If Irish farmer Alan Graham – who previously requested that Robyn Fenty cease filming of a video, which was being filmed on land he lent to be used for the filming of her video, due to his having had “an ethos” which compelled him to feel “that it was inappropriate” to continue filming after Rihanna donned a risque farmer’s outfit – had an issue with RiRi’s last costume, what do you think he would have to say about the 24-year-old pop icon’s leopard-print robe, lacy bodysuit, and painted naked body?

On next Tuesday’s episode of Glee we will all witness the Seniors graduate from McKinley High. However, looks like Glee’s Amber Riley, who portrays the powerhouse singer Mercedes Jones, will be taking her last and final bow.

Amber Riley semi confirmed this bit of news by tweeting this message in regards to her status on the Fox show. “That’s a wrap on Amber Riley! Just closed a chapter in my life, the only thing I’ve known day in and day out for three years. I’m going to miss the whole Glee family, seeing them everyday! I have so many brothers and sisters now But I am looking forward to a much needed and deserved summer vacation!” she continued, “SCHOOL’S OUT Glee Kids! Let’s play!”

Although don’t count her out just yet, because moments after another cryptic tweet from Riley appeared saying, “Stay tuned to see what’s next for Mercedes ” Sounds like quite the tease to us!

Does this mean that the character of Mercedes will live on with mentions from the cast who will remain in the context of the show, or does this mean viewers will find out about the character’s fate on the season finale? Only time will tell.

In the past there have been minor confusion over whether or not cast members were leaving the show or not. Even the actors at one point seemed confused with show runner’s Ryan Murphy’s comments concerning their character’s fate. Murphy initially said he had planned to launch a New York spin-off with Lea Michele and Chris Colfer, who play Rachel and Kurt respectively. Although Colfer and Michele claimed to not be aware of the spin off plans.

When asked about the confusion Murphy had this to say:

The truth is, I’d been speaking to Lea, Chris and Cory for months about doing a spin-off, perhaps a New York City Julliard-type thing after their characters leave Lima Heights. The way I see it, I can make a bazillion dollars doing one hit show, or I can make two bazillion dollars by chopping that show in half and creating two shows. In an interview, I said they were to graduate and leave Glee, and then those ungrateful little bastards had the audacity to act shocked, which in turn caused thousands of fans to show up on my doorstep with torches and pitchforks. So I was like, “You know what? No. No spin-off! No spin-off for any of you!

The news of Amber Riley’s  possible departure from the show is right on the heels of Fox’s 2012 upfront which will be taking place on Monday afternoon at the Beacon Theater in New York.

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has finally decided to divulge some insight into her divorce from NBA star Tony Parker, who was caught cheating on her with the wife of his teammate, Erin Barry.

Immediately after her dramatic split from Parker, Longoria began dating Eduardo Cruz and opted to refrain from speaking to the public about her scandalous divorce from her cheating husband.

Thirty-seven-year-old Eva indicated that she had discovered hundreds of text-messages sent by Parker to Barry, wife of fellow San Antonio Spurs teammate Brent Barry.  In regards to the confrontation she had with her then husband, she told Y! TV:

“I really wanted to provide a pillow for him to say and express why. Because I really wanted to know why. I’m not going to judge you. I’m not going to be mad in this moment. I’ll be mad later…. People say, ‘What a grace!’ And it wasn’t that. I really wanted to know, and if you genuinely want to get something out of somebody, you have to not judge.”

When asked on Lifetime what advice she would give to the 14-year-old version of herself, the actress quickly replied:

“Don’t marry that basketball player.”

In regards to Tony’s affair, which Erin denied prior to separating from Brent, Eva told de Cadenet:

“It was definitely not about me. [Knowing the truth] didn’t make me feel better, but it helped me understand. [...] It wasn’t about who he chose. I had moments of like: ‘Okay, I’m not sexy enough? I’m not pretty enough? Am I not smart enough?’ Then I immediately stopped. ‘No, no, no – don’t start doing that.’ Because you can get stuck in that cycle and you can carry that onto other things.”

These days, the Desperate Housewives star appears to be quite the confident woman as she was quoted by Y! TV having said:

“I am so secure in who I am. I really am. And I’m not conceited. I just think, ‘Wow, okay, that’s the life you want to live.’”

Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained is set to make its debut in theaters this Christmas, but it will be doing so without Sacha Baron Cohen and Kurt Russell.

Speaking on Howard Stern’s show yesterday, Cohen said that he had to exit his role in the film, which he says was more of a “cameo” than anything else, due to scheduling conflicts with his demanding press tour for The Dictator, which opens May 16. Cohen was to play Scotty Harmony, a wealthy man who “acquires a female slave for companionship.”

“That was going to be a cameo, but I had to drop out because of ['The Dictator''s] press tour,” Cohen told Stern (via Hitfix)

Sources with Variety confirmed that Russell has also exited the thriller, though the reason behind his departure is anything but clear. Rumors suggested that Russell decided to leave the film because he was unhappy, but Variety’s sources indicate that the actor’s departure wasn’t quite so dramatic.

Rather than re-cast Russell’s character, which previously belonged to Kevin Costner before he dropped out, Quentin Tarantino has reportedly decided to have another character, played by Walton Goggins, absorb the role.

Hollie Cavanaugh is officially out of “American Idol.” The 18-year-old hopeful was cast out of the final four on Thursday night, after Wednesday’s solo performance was less than impressive for both viewers and judges.

Wednesday Saw Cavanagh perform Journey’s “Faithfully,” and Bonnie Rait’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” a song which proved prophetic to Thursday’s results.

Hollie’s first song of the night was met with approval, as Idol judge Randy Jackson told her she “did him proud” with the beautiful rendition.

The judges were less than impressed with the second song, however. Even her mentor, Jimmy Lovine, told her she “crashed and burned.” J.Lo, notorious for being incredibly generous to the show’s contestants, told Hollie that she had ”a little too much vibrato,” and her vocals were “off.”

Jennifer Lopez performed her new song, “Dance Again” before the results were read, and also said of the contest that:

“This is a real journey. This is not an easy show for these kids. For me, that’s why I feel so much when I’m watching you, all of you, not just Hollie.”

Hollie Cavanagh then closed out the show by performing her rendition of Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb.” She remained composed through the performance, while contestant Joshua Ledet wept.

The three remaining contestants are gospel singer Joshua Ledet, 20, of Westlake, Louisiana; bluesy Phillip Phillips, 21, a pawn shop worker from Leesburg, Georgia; and pop diva hopeful Jessica Sanchez, 16, of San Diego, California. The remaining contestants will spend time at home in the coming week, before next week’s performance.

Michael Jackson’s bodyguard, Matt Fiddes, indicated to The Sun that MJ had ordered a hit on his brother, Randy Jackson, “in a drug-fueled paranoid rage,” which Randy’s spokesman denied, as he told TMZ that the claim “couldn’t be further from the truth … it’s completely absurd.”

Fiddes has claimed that MJ ordered members of his entourage to shoot Randy during an argument pertaining to a potential Jackson 5 reunion tour.  He also claims that the king of pop was on drugs at the time he ordered the shooting.  Jackson’s bodyguard was quoted having said:

“Michael was caught in a war with his brothers for years. They were desperate to sign him up to a $500 million deal for a Jackson Five reunion tour. By 2005 Michael had surrounded himself with Nation of Islam bodyguards and became paranoid to the point that he would bar family from coming into his home. Things reached a head when Randy was trying to force his way past the bodyguards to speak to him in one of his rented homes. Michael ordered him to be shot. He was out of mind on drugs and luckily Randy was OK. Michael shouted at the bodyguards that he wanted Randy shot, and Randy really feared he’d be killed. I don’t think Michael ever intended to kill him and told the guards to shoot him in the leg. But Randy was so scared he got on the phone and threatened to call the press.”

Much to the contrary, Randy’s rep was quoted by TMZ having said:

“There’s no way in the world that this actually happened.”

The bodyguard, who also happens to be a martial arts master, didn’t stop with his allegations of a murder plot, he went onto accuse Michael of having had a brief affair with Whitney Houston.

Rather than engage Matt Fiddes in court, Randy’s representative indicated that Michael Jackson’s family had decided to simply ignore the late musician’s bodyguard, at least for the time being.

R&B star Rita Ora shot down rumors that have been circulating lately that she has been getting personal with Drake–according to her, the two are just “good friends.”

Ora, Jay Z’s protege, joined up with Drake to work on her debut single, R.I.P., which Drake wrote himself–but that’s not what got the rumors started. After recording her single, Ora reportedly supported Drake while he was in the U.K. for his paradise tour, sparking speculation that the two were getting close.

To fuel the fire even further, there were unverified reports circulating the internet in April that Ora and Drake were spotted kissing backstage at an event in the U.K. Ora insists that it’s all untrue, however.

“We’re really good friends actually,” Rita told the Associated Press. “He has my back so it’s really nice to know I have a guy that’s a good friend like that.”

On Tuesday, the 21-year-old singer threw a party in London to celebrate R.I.P. hitting the number one spot in the U.K. iTunes store. The AP went on to report that the paparazzi were hanging around outside of the party, and Ora seemed surprisingly thrilled about it.

Ora said, “I’m like, oh my God, they care!”
