Kate Moss is throwing a karaoke party for her daughter’s seventh birthday.

The British supermodel will host a sing-a-long bash at her north London home today October 2, for Lila Grace – who celebrated her birthday on Tuesday September 29 – and will be taking the microphone herself.

A source said, “Kate has been preparing for Lila’s birthday for weeks. She is pulling out all the stops to give her a really memorable day. It’s a karaoke party and Kate is really looking forward to belting a few numbers out.”

As well as the musical bash, the 35-year-old beauty treated Lila to a lavish diamond necklace.

Kate’s eagerness to squeeze in some singing practice could be because she’s performing at Simon Cowell’s 50th birthday party tomorrow, October 3.

The model, who has been friends with the music mogul for several years, is determined to impress the 400 celebrity guests and performers when performs a version of Ella Fitzgerald’s ‘Summertime’.

A source said, “She is a keen singer and is taking her role in proceedings extremely seriously. As well as getting a few tips off rocker boyfriend, Jamie Hince, she’s been practicing her scales and gargling with lemon and honey. She once read that this is what Mariah Carey does ahead of each performance. Kate’s word perfect on her chosen track.”

Stars including Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, Jennifer Lopez and Il Divo are also set to perform and it has been rumored pop superstar Mariah Carey will serenade Simon on the night.

Tomorrow’s lavish bash, which will be attended by 350 guests and is rumored to have cost $ 365,000, is due to take place at Hertfordshire’s Wrotham Park in celebration of Simon’s landmark anniversary on Wednesday, October 7.

Dennis Hopper has been released from hospital.

The ‘Easy Rider’ actor, who was taken to a New York medical center on Wednesday September 30, after suffering stomach problems, was treated for dehydration and then released.

His manager Sam Maydew confirmed, “Dennis is now back in his hotel room and feeling much better.

“Dennis would like to thank everyone for their will wishes and he looks forward to getting back to work.”

It was initially reported the 73-year-old star was suffering from flu-like symptoms, but further details of his illness have not been released.

Dennis was in New York to promote his new TV series ‘Crash’, which is based on the 2004 Oscar-winning movie about racial and social tensions in Los Angeles. He plays music producer Ben Cendars.

The actor’s illness has forced him to cancel a number of TV appearances and promotional interviews about the show.

Dennis is due to begin filming dark comedy ‘A Beginner’s Guide to Endings’ – about three brothers who try to rectify the mistakes they have made in their lives when they discover they are about to die – alongside J.K. Simmons, Tricia Helfer and Scott Caan.

John Cleese is furious he has to go back on tour to pay for his divorce.

The ‘Monty Python’ comedian who was ordered to pay $ 18.27 million in his divorce settlement with third wife Alyce Faye Eichelberger – starts his one-man show in Olso, Norway, tonight October 2, returning
to the theatre for the first time in four years.

But the 69-year-old star isn’t happy, and his discontent is made clear in the title of the production, ‘A Ludicrous Evening with John Cleese… or How to Finance Your Divorce’.

He said, “I get angry that I have to pack my trunk, just to go away to make money.

“That I, at my age, would have to plan my life anew to pay her all the money she is to get for the next seven years – well, it irritates me.

“I’d rather have been drinking coffee, reading books and writing. I can’t afford that now.”

Details of Cleese’s divorce emerged in August after a 19-month battle in American courts.

Rose McGowan had part of her elbow removed after she injured it filming a stunt for new action film ‘Red Sonja’.

The former ‘Charmed’ star explained, “I had surgery and they took part of my elbow out. I had really bad nerve damage from doing stunts – I do a lot of my own stunts.

“I could no longer use my arm, but now I can hold a fork and drive so we’re working our way up. It’ll probably be another six months of rehab.”

Clive Owen loves doing housework.

The British actor has two daughters, Hannah and Eve, with wife Sarah-Jane Fenton, and is happy to help out with household tasks.

Clive, who plays a single father in new film ‘The Boys Are Back’ said, “It didn’t take a lot on my part to do laundry for a scene in my new movie because I’m a dad. I can do the laundry at my own house and I think nothing of throwing in a load.

“I’m a good guy to have around the house.”

Despite being a worldwide movie star, Clive says his priority will always be his family.

The 44-year-old star added to the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper, “I’m a parent, and my girls are such a huge part of my life. I go off to do my movies and then come home and look after my girls.”

The ‘Closer’ star recently said his loved ones help keep him grounded.

He explained, “I’ve got actor friends who didn’t get breaks, who struggle and worry about things that I’m fortunate not to have to worry about.

“I don’t take anything for granted. If it stopped now, I’d go, ‘Clive, you had a good run there.’ “

Russell also used Twitter while on holiday, revealing he had been looking at “sexy” statues in Thailand.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that Katy will host the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) next month.

Madonna quit Britain because people called her ‘Madge’.

The ‘Material Girl’ singer who moved from London to New York following her divorce form British director husband Guy Ritchie, “can’t stand” being referred to by the nickname because of the connotations it has.

She said, “That’s one of the reasons I left England so I don’t have to hear the word ‘Madge’ any more. Some people say ‘Madge’ is a colloquialism for a boring middle-aged housewife. And other people say it’s short for Majesty.”

The 51-year-old superstar who is dating 22-year-old Brazilian model Jesus Luz, also revealed she only finds younger men attractive.

She said, “Younger people are more adventurous. Have you met many guys my age? They’re usually grumpy and fat and balding.

“As long as they’re old enough to dress themselves, they’re good enough.”

Although she has the figure of someone much younger, the mother-of-four admitted she isn’t always happy with what she sees when she looks in the mirror.

She said, “My body is part of my job. I look in the mirror and say, ‘More work… less cake, more work.’ ”

Britney Spears has bought two parakeets.

The ‘Womanizer’ singer who finished the North American leg of her tour last weekend, bought the yellow birds during a shopping trip in California this week.

A source said, “Britney had just picked up some dog food when she spotted the parakeets and decided to buy a pair. She settled on yellow parakeets and bought a big, white cage and several toys for the birds.”

Britney purchased the winged creatures at the California Pet Center in Calabasas, and impressed staff by questioning how to care for them properly.

Workers didn’t initially realize it was the 27-year-old singer – who has sons Sean Preston, four, and three-year-old Jayden James with ex-husband Kevin Federline – who was inquiring about the pets.

Store worker Brieanna Kirby told gossip website X17online, “She came in just to buy the birds. She walked in, picked out a cage and set it down on my desk and then took off her glasses and I realized who she was. She was really, really, really nice, asking lots of questions about the upkeep of the birds and how much time and effort it takes to take care of them.

“She talked about the bird needing to be compatible with her family and she wanted a bird that would be easy to handle for her boys – one that wouldn’t bite a finger off. And she liked all the colors.”

Kanye West and Lady Gaga’s joint tour has been canceled.

The ‘Love Lockdown’ star and the ‘Poker Face’ singer had planned a string of shows, which were due to start next month and run until January.

However, the tour – entitled ‘Fame Kills’, and which had been planned for months is no longer going ahead. Promoters Live Nation are yet to offer any explanation.

The news comes just weeks after Kanye was heavily criticized for invading the stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards to insist his friend Beyonce Knowles should have won.

He made several apologies and then appeared on US TV and blamed his outburst on failing to grieve properly following his mother’s death in 2007.

He said, “So many celebrities, they never take the time off. I’ve never taken the time off to really – you know? Just music after music and tour after tour. I’m just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt… But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve.”
