In a not-so-shocking American Idol twist, the show’s producers are still milking Crystal Bowersox’s illness for “is she or isn’t she coming back?” speculation, just hours ahead of the competition.

Bowersox, the bohemian contestant with dreadlocks and a husky-sexy voice, prompted a last minute Idol lineup switch last night. Also known on the show for being mom to a little boy, Bowersox was pronounced too ill to perform on last night’s show. Due to her illness, said to be related to Type 1 Diabetes, the male contestants replaced the female ones on Tuesday night’s show. (At this point, I’m kind of almost expecting some Vince McMahon style on-show drama, even though I’m not doubting Bowersox is really sick.)

Surprisingly, however, Idol officials say that Bowersox may be eliminated to night if she fails to get clearance to perform. (It wouldn’t be this season’s first totally unfair dismissal, fellow heartstring-tugging contestant Chris Golightly was wrongly booted from the Top 24 when a former manager misinformed Idol flack that Golightly was still under contract. Golightly was replaced with Tim Urban.)

USA Today quoted American Idol executive producer Ken Warwick on the possible elimination of Crystal Bowersox due to her illness:

Warwick said he was hoping to get an update on Crystal’s status mid-day today, but he also indicated that, should Crystal be unable to perform on tonight’s show, Idol would likely disqualify her and eliminate only one of tonight’s performing contestants.

“If you’re in the Olympics and you’re going for the semi-final, for the final, if you don’t turn up, you don’t get straight through to the final,” Warwick said.

Okay, but one is a competition gathering the world’s top athletes and one is a Karaoke contest. Below, the clip of Warwick discussing Bowersox’s future on the show and under that, a clip of Bowersox performing Janis Joplin’s “Piece of My Heart” prior to her Idol stint.

The ‘Twilight’ actor is the latest star to be honored with his own waxwork by famous museum Madame Tussauds and his figure will be unveiled in both the New York and London branches.

Artist Luke Fisher is keen to give the statues a true resemblance and has received a lot of help from other members of staff.

Madame Tussauds said, “They have been studying hundreds of photos and pouring through hours of video to ensure that they capture R-Pattz’s trademark sultry expression and inimitable style.”

Robert follows in the footsteps of a host of stars to have been immortalized in wax including Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Marilyn Monroe and David and Victoria Beckham.

The waxworks will give fans on both sides of the Atlantic a rare chance to get close to the heartthrob as he recently revealed he hides from his followers because he finds the attention hard to deal with.

He said, “You are trying to limit the amount of time you have to deal with it. I do a bit of hiding.”

Cheryl Cole is considering moving to the US.

The source added, “It wasn’t Ashley she turned to, it was him. She takes his advice very seriously.”

Meanwhile, Cheryl and Ashley have sorted out an agreement regarding custody of their two Chihuahuas Buster and Coco.

A source close to the pair said, “The dogs mean the world to both Cheryl and Ashley. Cheryl, in particular, is attached to them and would do anything for Buster and Coco.

“They want to sort this out as amicably as possible. To keep the peace, Cheryl is allowing Ashley to spend a few days with them.”

However the 26-year-old pop beauty, who has previously admitted to only trusting her dogs and her mother Joan – is not yet ready to meet Ashley, 29, face-to-face.

The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper, “She’s not willing to drop them off in person – it’s simply too soon. Instead, Ashley has arranged for a car to pick them up and take them to his makeshift apartment in London.

“In effect, they’ve negotiated an ad hoc custody agreement. Cheryl won’t stop Ashley seeing the Chihuahuas, but long-term she wants them with her.”

Megan Fox has only slept with two men.

Naomi Campbell allegedly punched her chauffeur in the back of the head yesterday, March 2.

The 39-year-old supermodel is said to have become enraged with her driver, who had been hired for the day – as he drove her through Manhattan, New York, and fled the vehicle on foot when he stopped to report her to authorities.

According to reports, the 27-year-old driver, who suffered bruising to his face after hitting his head on the steering wheel, pulled over his black Cadillac Escalade and got out to speak to a traffic officer to tell him about the incident. When they returned to the vehicle, Naomi had left the scene.

A police source said, “The driver had a small bruise and swelling under his right eye… caused by her. She hit him in the back of the head and as a result his head hit the wheel. We want to talk to her.”

Despite fleeing the scene, a spokesperson for the supermodel insists she will cooperate fully with police.

Her representative Jeff Raymond said, “There shouldn’t be a rush to judgement. Naomi will cooperate voluntarily, and there is more to the story than meets the eye.”

It has been claimed Naomi got angry because she suspected the driver, who used to work for her former boyfriend Vladimir Doronin, had helped cover up his indiscretions.

New York police issued a ‘harassment report’ over the incident because no officer witnessed what took place. It does not carry any penalty.

Authorities later confirmed the driver had decided not to pursue the matter, meaning Naomi is unlikely to face any charges.

Ryan Seacrest believes Simon Cowell will be a “very generous” husband.

The ‘American Idol’ presenter, who works alongside Simon on the TV talent show, has predicted Simon will treat fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy, 36, well when they are wed.

However, Ryan thinks the make-up artist will have to limit the amount of mirrors in their house to ensure marital bliss.

“What ‘Brooklyn’s Finest’ did was to educate me about the psychological challenges they face and how that part of their lives is often overlooked. I didn’t know that many police officers die as a result of suicide.”

Despite being best known for his hardman roles, Wesley just wants to be remembered as a talented actor.

However, the 25-year-old star thinks her 57-year-old mother’s own extensive cosmetic surgery has helped her become “the woman she always wanted to be”.

She explained to more! magazine, “What plastic surgery has done for her is incredible. She was successful, except she didn’t feel comfortable with her looks. Then suddenly she had confidence and everywhere she went people called her beautiful and told her she looked great and she became the woman she always wanted to be. I think my mum is beautiful.”

She added to Britain’s OK! magazine, “I’m very tight with my siblings and mom and my grandmother, so I’m lucky.

“In a way, I’m grateful for how he has behaved, because it’s brought us closer together. We’re very protective of each other.”
