Robbie Williams Ready To Die

Robbie Williams was “dying” three years ago.

The ‘Bodies’ singer admits his spiral into addiction had got so bad that he was close to death in 2007, and didn’t care about it.

He said, “I was not in a good place. I was dying. I got to a point where I really, genuinely didn’t care.

“I’d just got fat and depressed before. Then this one was like, you might die, now. Cool!”

Robbie, 36, claims his addiction to drugs began in 1993, when he first took cocaine given to him by an unnamed 80s pop star.

He said, “I’d already tried speed, ecstasy and acid but never cocaine. I think it was a symptom of a problem personally for me, for my own make-up. And also professionally for me where I was, with the people that I was with and how we were being looked after.”

However since a trip to rehab in 2007 Robbie, who is engaged to actress Ayda Field, has been getting his life back on track, although he admits he did pile on the pounds last year because his overuse of the drug cannabis, known as weed, made him constantly hungry.

He told Radio Times magazine, “Did you see me last year? Have a look at last year. Year of the munchie, 2009. Weed, it’s such a lovely drug. It is such a lovely drug. But it doesn’t mix well with me – at all. It doesn’t take much to trigger- I mean, I’ll get psychosis from a cup of tea! Seriously. The caffeine in that is enough!”

MTV, Brooklyn celebrate Biggie Smalls day on March 9th

MTV is celebrating the life and work of Christopher George Latore Wallace today, better known to the world as Biggie Smalls, the Notorious B.I.G, or just Big. (Brooklyn stand up.)

Wallace’s biopic Notorious has been running in heavy rotation on HBO, and several documentaries about Big’s life have been cycling through on music channels. It was thirteen years ago today that Big was gunned down in L.A. by an unknown assailant, just months after the also unsolved murder of friend turned rival Tupac Shakur after a Mike Tyson fight in Vegas.

Puff Daddy P. Diddy spoke to MTV about the push to make March 9th Biggie’s day:

“We’re trying to make March 9th a national hip-hop holiday,” Diddy told MTV News. “It already is, on the low. MTV is going to have a big special. We’re doing a party. I’m going to Brooklyn. It’s gonna be the first time I’m throwing a party in Brooklyn. I’m from Harlem. Everybody in Harlem knows you don’t usually go over the bridge to Brooklyn. It’s a big, big deal. Me being such a Harlemite, I’m going over there to pay respect to my man. It’s gonna be a big party in Brooklyn with Mister Cee. It’s a big day. It’s a day to celebrate his life. It’s a day to celebrate the life of the man. We done did the movie, the records. It’s something that, I guess, as a label we’re obsessed with: making sure people don’t forget about this man in a positive way. March 9 is Biggie Day. … Bump Biggie all day, feel good and positive.”

I have to admit to not always being a Biggie fan- when he was alive he was ubiquitous, and my tastes ranged more towards indie rock. As an adult (and later Brooklyn resident) I slowly began to really appreciate his work, and Ready To Die is one of my top five albums of all time-still in constant rotation on this New Yorker’s iPod. Fans are taking to Twitter to proclaim their love for NYC’s most mourned rapper, and tweeting their five favorite Biggie joints with the hashtag “Top five Biggie” or “#ripbig.”

Below are my two favorite Biggie tracks- “Party and Bullsh*t” and “Gimme the Loot.” Which Big tracks are your most played? Is it fair to say Biggie’s work has stood the test of time?

Simon Cowell Torn About Having Kids

Simon Cowell is “torn” about having children.

The 50-year-old music mogul, who recently got engaged to his make-up artist girlfriend Mezghan Hussainy, claims he would love to become a father, but isn’t sure if he’d be too old.

Speaking about his future plans, Simon said, “I’m kind of torn because I’m a bit too old to have kids, but then again I think it would be important to have a lot of mes around in the future.”

Simon and Mezghan, who had been dating for several months before their relationship was made public, had sparked rumors they were engaged when she was pictured wearing a diamond ring last month, but his publicist dismissed the speculation.

However, when asked by US TV talk show host Jay Leno if the rumors were true, Simon said, “Well, I do have somebody in my life now, yes. And I kind of made a decision this year to make somebody happy… it’s called giving back.”

Despite confirming their engagement, Simon refused to reveal how he proposed to Mezghan.

He joked, “I find this very uncomfortable. I was asleep, I think. No, look, I bought her the ring in London.”

While he is happy with Mezghan, Simon insists reports they plan to marry as early as this summer are untrue.

When asked about when he’ll finally tie the knot, he said, “Within the next 10 years.”

Reese Witherspoon’s Boyfriend Desperate for Marriage

Reese Witherspoon’s new boyfriend is reportedly desperate to marry her.

The actress is believed to have been dating Hollywood agent Jim Toth since February, but rather than take things slowly Jim, 39 is ready to propose.

An ex-girlfriend of Jim’s told America’s InTouch Weekly magazine, “He is not looking to casually date, he’s looking to get more serious. He’s a nice guy, but he can be needy and is definitely looking to settle down. He lost his father about a year ago and that made him want to get married.”

However, Reese is happy with their current situation and has no plans to tie the knot in the near future.

The 33-year-old screen beauty split from actor Jake Gyllenhaal in December and was previously married to Ryan Phillippe, with whom she has two children Ava, ten, and six-year-old Deacon, and doesn’t want to fully commit again until she is 100 per cent sure the relationship will last.

A source said, “Reese got married too young the first time, and she never wants to go through another divorce again. She wants to take things very slowly.”

Lindsay Lohan sues, claims E-Trade baby is based on her

Lindsay Lohan is seeking $100 million in damages from E-Trade for a Super Bowl commercial featuring a “milkaholic” baby with promiscuous, boyfriend-stealing tendencies.

The baby in the ad, named “Lindsay,” who at one point stumbles into the frame and says “milk-a-what?” is a clear parody of Lohan, Lohan seems to believe. Lohan’s claims that the baby resembles her seem to be slightly… overstated. Her lawyer says:

Stephanie Ovadia, said the actress has the same single-name recognition as Oprah or Madonna.

“Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit,” Ovadia said.

They used the name Lindsay,” Ovadia said. “They’re using her name as a parody of her life. Why didn’t they use the name Susan? This is a subliminal message. Everybody’s talking about it and saying it’s Lindsay Lohan.”

Ovidia believes her client is entitled to $50 million in exemplary damages, plus another $50 million in compensatory damages. Lohan seeks an injunction barring airplay and her team would like “every last copy of the commercial” provided to them. E-Trade has not commented on the lawsuit.

Shia LaBeouf: Michael Douglas Fears for Cameron

Shia LaBeouf says Michael Douglas is going through a personal “crisis” because of his son’s pending drugs trial.

The 23-year-old actor stars with Michael in upcoming movie ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ and has revealed the 65-year-old screen icon has been left “broken” by his son Cameron’s legal woes.

He told German website Gala.de, “I met a broken man, not Michael Douglas the celebrity. This man suffers; he’s going through a crisis. He fears for his son. Cameron is facing a prison sentence because of his drug dealing. When I worked with Michael, he would visit his son in prison before he arrived at the set. It was really difficult for him.”

Despite his family problems, Shia says Michael was a total professional on set.

The ‘Transformers’ actor admits he and director Oliver Stone wished they could have done more to support Michael.

Shia explained, “Oliver was really sensitive, but he had to finish his film at the same time. That’s why there wasn’t a lot of time left to comfort Michael. That was tough.”

Cameron is facing a possible 10 years in jail after pleading guilty in January to possession and dealing methamphetamine and cocaine from a Manhattan hotel last July.

Michael, who has two other children, Dylan, nine, and six-year-old Carys, with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, recently confessed he could have been a better father to his 31-year-old son.

The ‘Sentinel’ star, whose father is screen legend Kirk Douglas said, “My priorities were very similar to my father’s. Career first. The history of second-generation actors isn’t great in our industry. It’s kind of a tragic road, actually. Anybody who has a relative or child in substance abuse has some idea of what this feels like. This is one of those worst-case scenarios. It will ultimately be a painful lesson.”

Cameron, whose mother is Michael’s ex-wife Diandra Luker, will be sentenced on April 27.

John Travolta Still Grieving For Son

John Travolta will grieve for his late son for the rest of his life.

The 56-year-old actor admits the pain of losing his 16-year-old son Jett, who passed away in January 2009 following a seizure while on holiday in the Bahamas, is still raw but he and his family are dealing with it the best they can.

Speaking at the Governors Ball which took place at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel after the Oscars ceremony on Sunday night, March 7, he said, “We are working hard on healing, still. It’s going to be a lifelong project. Everybody has been so enormously supportive and I really appreciate it.”

Travolta’s ‘Wild Hogs’ co-star Tim also revealed his friend is still coming to terms with his loss.

Allen, who attended the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Award Viewing Party said, “He is doing really well, I mean, healing as best he can. He is pushing through a very tough situation.”

Earlier this year, Travolta admitted he and wife Kelly Preston and their nine-year-old daughter Ella had received a great deal of support from the Church of Scientology in the wake of Jett’s untimely passing.

The actor, who is a devout follower of the controversial religion said, “We work hard every day with our church on healing. And Kelly and I and Ella have all been working very hard and they’ve been helping us.”

Sharon Osbourne to Sell Breast Implants on Ebay

Sharon Osbourne wants to sell her breast implants on eBay.

The TV star,  who is married to rocker Ozzy Osbourne, doesn’t like the look of her breasts following her last boob-boosting operation and is considering going under the knife again to have her chest changed.

She said, “I wish I’d never had my breasts done the last time. They’ve put these bloody great bags in that are too f***ing round – it’s like a waterbed on your chest.

“I hate my t*ts. I want to have the bags taken out and then I’ll put them up on eBay!”

The 57-year-old star, who has famously spent over £300,000 on cosmetic surgery, doesn’t want to undergo any more procedures in the near future, but believes she will eventually get more work done.

She added to Britain’s new! magazine, “Would I have more surgery? Not right now. Maybe when I get to my 60s, I don’t want to have a flopping neck.”

Although Sharon wants her implants removed, daughter Kelly recently revealed she would be prepared to have a boob job when she gets older.

The 25-year-old presenter said, “When my boobs get saggy I will have them lifted. I don’t want my nipples facing the floor.

“Plastic surgery works for someone like my mum. It changed her life and gave her that last bit of confidence she needed.”
