[VIDEO] Law & Order & Hilarious Gamer Stereotypes

Sweaty, overweight, hopelessly addicted rapists. Yep, that’ll be us gamers. It’d be easy to feel frustrated at this clip from the most recent Law & Order, but it’s so unimaginably horrible it’s great.

After me, everybody: “This is the kingdom of Galagar!” Gold.

Taylor Swift Confused By Love

Taylor Swift finds love “confusing.”

The 20-year-old country star, who has dated Taylor Lautner and was famously dumped by Joe Jonas on the phone – struggles to cope with the complexities of dating and relationships and tries to make sense of her romantic life by writing songs inspired by her romantic liaisons.

She said, “Naturally, I want to write songs about love and relationships because I find it find it all very confusing. When I meet someone new I live somewhere between hope and fear. Hope that this time it could be different, and fear that it will turn out like it has before.”

While Taylor admits writing songs about her heartbreak is therapeutic, she feels “vulnerable” when she listens back to the lyrics.

She told America’s OK! magazine, “I’ve written all the songs on it about things that have happened over the last two years, and a lot has happened over the last two years. It’s been very eventful, a lot of adventures and misadventures. I have a lot fun doing this and getting to write songs about what happens in my life, but putting it all out there in your music – all the details – you’re taking a chance with that because you are very vulnerable.”

Taylor also revealed she now hopes to put the Kanye West controversy completely behind her.

At the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), the rapper interrupted Taylor in the middle of her acceptance speech for the Best Female Video prize to tell the audience Beyonce Knowles should have won, resulting in an avalanche of criticism.

Taylor – who, along with Kanye, performed at the 2010 VMAs in September – said, “For me, I felt like performing VMAs was the best way to go out there and sing how I was actually feeling, being there really helped put all that behind me.”

Johnny Depp Travels to Work by Boat

Johnny Depp is commuting to work everyday by boat.

The Hollywood star has chartered a yacht to sail down the River Thames in London so he can get to the set of new movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ on time.

He boards the luxury vessel, nicknamed The Jolly Roger, from Battersea before winding his way up the waterway to Greenwich, where he is reprising his role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the fourth installment of the Disney franchise.

A source told The Sun newspaper, “Johnny chose to charter a boat for the week because it’s the easiest and quickest way to get there.

“He’s been flying in from his home in France some mornings and hopping on the yacht at Battersea.

“He’s been enjoying the views from the water.”

Depp’s newfound love of water comes from his joy at playing character Captain Jack Sparrow in the movie series.

The 46-year-old star, who is reportedly earning $33 million to appear in the sequel, admits the eccentric seafarer has stolen a place in his heart.

Speaking about the role, he said, “Sometimes you fall in love with who you’re playing. As filming winds down, you hear the clock ticking because you know you’re going to leave your character behind and a kind of odd separation anxiety kicks in. You get irritable and just sort of melancholy.”

Emma Watson Flees After Fire Alarm

Emma Watson was evacuated from her college dorm after a fire scare on Tuesday, September 29.

The ‘Harry Potter’ actress, who has been studying for an English Literature degree at Brown University in America since September 2009, had to flee in her pyjamas after the alarm went off at 10am.

Residents of Olney House, where the 20-year-old Hollywood star lives, were kept outside after the university’s emergency alert system was triggered.

However, students were allowed to return to their rooms after 10 minutes when fire-fighters revealed a leaking steam pipe had caused the scare.

Since enrolling at the prestigious college Emma has been able to juggle her movie career with her studies.

It was recently revealed the 20-year-old actress is close to signing up for her first post ‘Harry Potter’ role.

Emma is believed to be taking on the part of a wardrobe assistant named Lucy in ‘My Week With Marilyn’ based on the memoirs of Colin Clark, who worked as Laurence Olivier’s assistant on the film ‘The Prince And The Showgirl’ in 1956.

It is believed Emma is keen on the minor role because she can shoot the scenes in just a few days, limiting her time away from university.

Justin Bieber Turned Into Pocket-Sized Dolls

Justin Bieber has been turned into a toy.

The teen singing sensation’s likeness has been turned into two ranges of dolls – the Music Video Collection and the JB Style Collection.

The Music Video Collection sees figures playing 30-second clips from his hit songs ‘Baby’ and ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ and the dolls are dressed in Justin’s outfits from those videos.

The JB Style Collection, features Justin figurines dressed in “street style”, “awards style” and “red carpet style” outfits.

The mini Justin dolls will be released in December.

Justin, 16, is not the first star to be made into a toy.

During the peak of their fame in the 90s, the Spice Girls all had their own figurines, as did Take That and Britney Spears.

Last year, Sienna Miller was turned into an action figure in the guise of her ‘G.I Joe: Rise of the Cobra’ character Baroness.

She said, “I’m not sure if I’m going to be playing with my own doll – but I’m going to have happy nieces and nephews, I’m sure.”

British boy band JLS are also set to be immortalized in plastic, with their range of dolls coming out later this year.

Sad: Long Island comedy club to host Greg Giraldo’s scheduled gig this Saturday as tribute

The internet is still pretty sad over the unexpected death of comedian Greg Giraldo yesterday after he overdosed on prescription medication this weekend.

Giraldo, 44, was scheduled to appear at Long Island comedy club Governor’s this upcoming Friday. In light of the comedian and Last Comic Standing judge’s death, Governor’s has turned the planned gig into a memorial for the comic. At 10:30, when Giraldo was set to take the stage, the club will air DVDs of his performances on their TVs.

The cover for Giraldo’s performance was originally to be $25 with a two drink minimum. Instead, admission to the tribute event will be free and all proceeds collected will go to the late comedian’s family- including his three young children. TMZ spoke with the manager of Governor’s, who said that they were hoping to “commemorate his life” at Friday’s memorial. Plans for a memorial service or funeral for Giraldo, who was raised Catholic, have not been announced.

No further details have been released at the time of writing.

The Hollywood legend was married six times throughout his life, and is survived by his wife Jill Vandenberg Curtis, whom he wed in 1998.

Curtis, who was born Bernard Schwartz in 1925, received an Academy Award nomination in 1959 for his role in Stanley Kramer’s ‘The Defiant Ones’ alongside Sidney Poitier.

Paris Hilton To Star in New Reality Show

Paris Hilton is to star in a new reality TV show.

The hotel heiress is going to let cameras follow her around to prove to the world she is not a typical ‘dizzy blonde,’ a misconception she feels has been portrayed in her previous programmes.

The series will be shown on the Oxygen Channel in the US.

A spokesperson for the project said,  “This isn’t ‘The Simple Life’, where she played a campy version of herself. This show will give viewers a glimpse of the real Paris and her life, which is sometimes quite amazing.”

Paris established her TV persona in ‘The Simple Life’, which saw her and her one-time best friend Nicole Richie give up their glamorous lifestyles and try out various jobs, including farm work and cleaning.

The show was hugely successful and ran for five series.

She also hosted reality show ‘Paris Hilton’s My New BFF’, in which she searched for a person to be her Best Friend Forever, filming series in the UK, US and UAE.

Although the Oxygen network has just announced the series, Paris was not being followed by cameras in August, when she was arrested and was later found guilty of cocaine possession in Las Vegas, and her subsequent refusal for entry to Japan as a result of her being on probation.

The network could, however, film Paris when she starts 200 hours of community service, handed to her as part of her sentence for the drug possession.

Kimberley Walsh Not Ready For Family

Kimberley Walsh is fighting her broody urges.

The Girls Aloud singer is about to become an aunt, but while she can’t wait to see her pregnant sister’s bump, she plans to fight her own maternal urges because she’s not ready to have kids yet.

She said, “My sister Sally is three months pregnant and I’m really excited. I can’t wait until the baby comes along.

“It will probably make me more broody, but I’ll just have to hold that feeling down as I’m not quite ready for children just yet.”

Kimberley thinks it will be great being an aunt because she will get all the joy from playing with the baby without the sleepless nights.

Writing in her column for Britain’s OK! magazine, she said, “I’ll enjoy all the good bits without the late night feeds and early mornings.”

Kimberley, 28, is also thrilled her Girls Aloud bandmate Nadine Coyle has got engaged to NFL player Jason Bell.

Kimberley, who is also joined in the band by Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding said, “Nadine was the last person I thought would get married. She’s never been the marriage type, so I’m really happy for her that she’s found that place with Jason.”

Michael Jackson Was ‘Pied Piper’ To Kids

Michael Jackson was like a “Pied Piper” to children.

Mark Ronson, who often enjoyed sleepovers at the late pop superstar’s home when he was growing up, is amazed at the way kids just seemed to be drawn to the ‘Smooth Criminal’ singer.

He said, “All kids love Michael Jackson, he had some sort of effect. I would watch footage of him when I was older and you’d see these kids of 12 and 13 who weren’t even born the last time he put out a good album but they’d be screaming and fainting.

“It’s just so crazy that in some ways he was like this magical Pied Piper.”

The ‘Bang Bang Bang’ hitmaker grew very fond of Michael, who died in June 2009 of acute Propofol intoxication, because he always acted like a “big kid”.

Mark added to ShortList magazine, “He was just like a big kid. He just seemed like a kid that never really got to grow up.”

The 35-year-old producer recently revealed he feared he would be beaten up by his schoolmates if he told them about the sleepovers he attended alongside Sean Lennon, the son of Beatles legend John Lennon – at Michael’s home.

He explained, “If I bragged about it I knew that one of two things would happen: a) the kids would think that I was full of s**t or b) they would think I was obnoxious and I’d get a slap for it. All in all, it was better to say nothing.”
