Coachella 2013 advanced tickets went on sale today and within hours were sold out for the event, with no confirmed music acts lined up for the event.
Advanced tickets for the 2013 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival were scheduled to go on sale today at 10 a.m. with general admission passes going for $349 and VIP passes going for $799. Within two hours the first weekend’s general admission passes for April 12-14 were sold out, with VIP passes not lasting much longer after that.
By 2 p.m. both general admission and VIP for the second weekend, April 19-21, were already sold out.
Camping packages for the event, which includes accommodations at the Lake Eldorado section of the campgrounds, are still available with either general admission or VIP tickets. General admission package starts at $2000 for two people and $3400 for four people. VIP packages are $2900 for two people and $5200 for four people according to Press Enterprise.
Some camping, parking and shuttle passes are also available.
Sales continue until May 24th and according to Coachella’s Facebook page:
“The price you see is what you pay – prices reflect all fees included.”
The Wall Street Journal reported that although it has yet to be announced, it’s more than likely the Coachella promoters will do a repeat of this year and have the same bands appear both weekends. The lineup for Coachella ’13 is likely to be announced shortly before the release of remaining tickets early next year
Coachella is one of the premier music festivals in the world, attracting tens of thousands of fans and some of the biggest names in music, which have included Paul McCartney, Jay-Z and Radiohead over the years.
The festival is expected to have a general on sale early next year.

“Gossip Girl,” the CW’s teen soap opera, will air its sixth and final season this fall, wrapping up the series in eleven episodes.
According to US Weekly, the announcement was made on Thursday, and the network hinted in a statement on Thursday that his fall’s episode selection will be very interesting. The statement reads:
“Serena has gone off the grid, beyond even the reach of Gossip Girl. Her friends fear for the worst and hope for the best, but even they can’t imagine where they will ultimately find her.”
Parade recently sat down with one of the show’s stars, Chace Crawford, who stated:
“If I got to write the show, it would be a very different thing. I would make Chuck Gossip Girl and I would turn my character into Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. That would be a wierd twist of events.”
He went on to tell the magazine that:
“I tend to throw something for the crew at the end of every season. What will we do? For me, it’s going to probably be more bittersweet and tough to leave New York City. And it’s definitely an end of an era. It was college for everyone really. We’ll do something for sure.”
They also asked the “Gossip Girl” star about his future, to which he replied:
“Unless Games of Thrones comes knocking at my door, I’m going to try to make a run at film for awhile. Their are pros and cons to both. With TV, you’re locked in. It’s great because you have conistency though while film is like camp.”
Mark Pedowitz, CW’s president, told reporters on Thursday that the network has yet to decide the fall episode order. He stated:
“I haven’t announced anything yet. Our goal is to run it in the fall and end it in the fall. We will make a determination on how best to do that [later]. [The creators] have been great in terms of helping us determine.”
“Gossip Girl’s” final episodes will air this fall.
On the heels of several sexual allegations by four masseurs, John Travolta has decided to share his love for wife Kelly Preston.
The video, which Travolta decided to let go viral, was intended as a Mother’s Day present for his wife Kelly Preston. Travolta’s wife released the video under her Vimeo account, which is set to the song “That Face” by Barbra Steisand. The video starts with the star dedicating the video to his wife of 21 years by stating “From me, to you.”
The video features dozens of private photos of the couple and their three children, the late Jett, Ella Bleu, 12, and son Benjamin Hunter Kaleo, 18 months old. The highlights are the wedding photos of the couple, and images that look to be recent of John kissing his beloved Kelly. The video comes to a close at four minutes and thirty-five seconds and ends with the sweet words, “With all my love, Johnny.”
While the couple isn’t exactly private with their love life, Travolta has never gone at this length to share his love. The actor hasn’t stepped forward to say anything publicly about the allegations, but this video might just be the actor’s not-so-subtle reaction to claims that he’s been sexually exploiting himself to male masseurs.
So far the first masseur to accuse Travolta of his sexual exploits has dropped the case due to fact that Travolta’s flight records were shown that he wasn’t even in Los Angeles, like the the accuser, simply known as John Doe claimed. However, the second accuser’s trial is waiting for a pending date to start.

Van Halen has abruptly postponed more than 30 summer tour dates after June 26th, with no explanation for why.
Rolling Stone reports that the band has canceled more than 30 long-anticipated shows, including Milwaukee, Detroit, Cleveland, Salt Lake City, and El Paso.
“The Van Halen show at Energy Solutions Arena Tuesday September 4th will be temporarily postponed. Future dates to be announced. The on sale for this Friday May 18th is also postponed. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
One concert-business source who has knowledge of Van Halen’s tour told Rolling Stone that:
“You want to know the absolute fuckin’ truth? I have no fuckin’ idea.”
Another source reported that the band members, “hate each other.” And also that:
“The band is arguing like mad. They are fighting.”
A source at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, where the band was going to play on July 7th, before the cancellations were announced, stated:
“It’s selling pretty good – I don’t know why they would say it’s being canceled.”
Clearly, the band’s cancellations were not due to ticket sales, as many show shave either sold out, or are close to doing so. Jack Larson, who is the vice president and general manager of the Xcel Energy Center, stated:
“We’re selling really well. We’re looking forward to it.”
According to PollStar, Van Halen’s tour is to support their album, A Different Kind Of Truth, which is the first album to include new material with the band’s original frontman, David Lee Roth. It is also the first album that includes Wolfgang, Eddie Van Halen’s son, playing bass guitar.
Aishwarya Rai, who won the Miss World contest in 1994, is being criticized by several India blogs for not regaining her stunning figure after giving birth to her daughter Aaradhya last November.
US Weekly reports that several critics have complained that Rai has “a duty” to her fans to maintain her figure and are upset that Rai has not yet shed her baby weight. One video, which has been viewed more than 500,00 times, shows before and after pics of Rai accompanied by elephant noises.
One user writes: ”She is a Bollywood actress and it is her duty to look good and fit.”
The commentators point to people like Angelina Jolie, Victoria Beckham, and Beyonce, who magically snapped back into their pre-baby bodies after giving birth.
Another user writes: “Instead of losing some of her flab after her delivery the Bachchan Bahu has gained 5 or 6 kilos…we think it is time she hire a good trainer to help her sweat it out in the gym.”
Some people, fortunately, are coming to the former Miss World’s defense. One user writes: ”She is a real woman looking after a baby. We should be concern [sic] for her health and happiness especially if she is nursing the baby. Not the Western belief of expecting people in the spot light to lose all weight in month.”
Professor Rachel Dwyer, a professor of Indian Culture SOAS, University of London, told ABC that Western celebrities are pressured to lose weight after giving birth. Dwyer was surprised, however, to see this type of hate directed at a Bollywood star. Dwyer wrote:
“I think this baby weight thing is a western obsession with pulling stars down… Women who lose weight are congratulated and those who don’t are seen as letting themselves go. I’ve not heard of it in India before.”

And let’s not forget about all the gossip columns. The latest rumor hitting the streets is that Rihanna was seen out on the town with New York Knicks star J.R. Smith.
Rihanna and Smith were reportedly seen all over town getting very close in a friendly way. They were last sighted at the Veranda Club in New York City.
An eyewitness tells In Touch the couple were all over each other. The eyewitness said,
“They were very flirty in the club all night and holding hands,” an eyewitness told magazine. “She was sitting on his lap and was really into him.”
Commenting on Rihanna’s dating type, the source said that J.R. Smith fits perfectly into the mold. The source continued,
“He is the team’s most controversial player, so it’s no wonder that Rihanna likes him,”
The New York Knicks bad boy was just fined $25,000 a couple of months ago by the NBA for Tweeting out a picture of some model’s thong clad butt in his bed. The father of two was also sentenced to 30 days in prison, 500 hours of community service and suspended from the NBA for seven games after pleading guilty to causing a reckless driving accident in 2009.
He also had to shut down his original Twitter account after being accused of tweeting in the same style as the Los Angeles Bloods gang.
Since it was revealed that Glee wasn’t going to be pulling a 90210, and would actually let their Seniors graduate from high school, the fate of the characters has been all Glee fans can talk about. What characters are staying and which are going to take their final bow? Well, Ryan Murphy has finally broken his silence on the matter.
Amidst rumors flying, creator Ryan Murphy has said that people are “too quick to write off” Yale bound regular Quinn, played by Dianna Agron. He also addresses the fate of Mercedes Jones, after Amber Riley tweeted her farewells that Murphy predicted would be “misconstrued”.
If you ask any true Gleek fan they would say that they’re nervous all of their favorites are in trouble of not returning next fall, especially after the announcement that Glee would take place in Ohio with new students, and in New York to follow Finn, Rachel, and Kurt on their college journeys. However, Murphy says not to worry that there’s a place for all the main regular characters on Glee. He said of Amber’s tweet, “She’s excited about where her character is going. They all are. I wanted to do the right thing by all of them.”
Ryan Murphy continued to explain that this decision wasn’t taken lightly, saying they’re “like a family”, continuing,” I said to them, ‘Anybody who wants to stay on the show will stay on the show.” Back at McKinley High you can expect the same familiar faces of Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch and Jayma Mays to return as the head teachers, and while the cast will be involved in the show, it’s unclear as to what capacity that is.
Murphy continued, explaining the unique situation of having a show within a show, and where that leaves the actors and their portrayals, “Anyone who is a regular is coming back. It doesn’t mean everyone will be doing 22 episodes, but everyone wants to stay in our family and our world,’” he continued, “I wanted to make sure those actors know that if they want to have a home, they have a home. If they want to explore new and different things while also having a home, that is also an option.”
Tuesday’s finale will probably explain more of who and who isn’t going to be featured heavily next season, and according to Murphy the cast is very into what he has planned. Will the fans be? Only time will tell.
It looks like art is still imitating life for Glee costars Cory Monteith and Lea Michele. The two were spotted sitting rink side on Wednesday at the New York Rangers vs New Jersey Devils game, making a more than public display of affection.
Cory Monteith, a resident Canuck, and Long Island native Lea Michele don’t seem to be hiding their romance anymore. The Glee couple, who may see their characters get married for the season finale, have been seen unsuccessfully downplaying their romance for months.
Although the New Jersey Devils took the winning goal, it seems like the loved up pair couldn’t care less about the loss for New York. According to spies at the hockey game, Monteith and Michele seemed to be pretty much unaware that the game was going on and instead were very much into each other, sharing a few affectionate kisses at the Madison Square Garden hockey game.
In recent months Michele, 25, and Monteith, 30, have been enjoying private time together away from the glare of photographers. The pair have reportedly been seeing each other since February, have already enjoyed some time in Monteith’s hometown of Vancouver, Canada. Since then Lea Michele and Cory Monteith have enjoyed a getaway vacation in April, and home turf vacation on the west coast in March.
Of their characters journey together as a young engaged couple, Monteith said, “Lea is one of my best friends and we’ve been doing this for so long. These characters are such a big part of our lives . . . so to have it cumulate into that moment is very powerful for both of us. We both got like chills. It was really weird.”
In the past Cory Monteith has been linked to singer Taylor Swift, and Lea Michele ended her long term relationship with ex-beau and Broadway heavyweight Theo Stockman last September.
Tia Mowry has starred as Melanie Barnett Davis on BET’s “The Game” for the last six years, but the former child actor is now calling it quits. Mowry announced today that she would not be returning for another season of “The Game.”
Mowry wrote on Twitter:
“Just wanted to let all my fans know that I will not be returning to The Game for season 6. It was an incredible run and I had lots of fun.”
CNN reports that “The Game” may be losing another integral character. Rumors have been circulating that Pooch Hall, who plays Mowry’s husband on the show, is also planning on leaving “The Game.” Hall has not made a formal announcement yet.
US Weekly reports that Mowry decided to leave the show in order to free up time to pursue other projects. For one, Mowry still has her show “Tia & Tamera” with her twin sister on the Style Network. Season two of ”Tia & Tamera” premieres on June 11th.
Brooklyn Decker is best known for appearing on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, but she’s working hard to change her image and become a respected actress. At the moment, however, the beautiful blonde admits that her acting needs a little work.
“I’m still studying to get better. It goes without saying that I have a lot of room for improvement.”
Decker says that she’s thankful for her modeling career and is aware that modeling has opened the acting door for her, but she’s working hard to be more than a pretty face.
Decker said:
“Sometimes people are like, ‘Oh, is that girl the model?’ But I think [my modeling background] opened doors. I can’t bite the hand that fed me. Once people give me a chance they realize, ‘OK, she’s here to work.’”
Decker decided to end her modeling career after the Sports Illustrated shoot so that she could focus on acting. She appeared opposite Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler in “Just Go With It” and has two movies, “Battleship” and “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” coming out this Summer.
