CNN’s Anderson Cooper and boyfriend Benjamin Maisani have been spotted together while on holiday in Jaipur, India.

According to reports, the pair were pictured together at the Rambagh Palace hotel, where the couple are sharing a bed at $3,200 a night. According to a source quoted by the New York Post, the room “has a large round bathtub” that was “filled with bubbles and sprinkled with red rose petals” on their first night in town.

Benjamin Maisani owns the Eastern Bloc bar in New York City’s East Village, which is described by one reviewer on Yelp as “a true man meat bar” that is the “sexiest/hottest [gay] bar in Manhattan.” Gridskipper describes the bar as an “upscale gay bar with a welcoming, Soviet theme.”

Anderson Cooper and Benjamin Maisani are believed to have been dating since 2007.

Nicolas Cage’s father, August Coppola, has died of a heart attack at the age of 75.

Coppola is the brother of famous filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. He was a professor of literature at San Francisco State University, as well as dean of creative arts. OK Magazine outlined Coppola’s many relatives in show business:

Nicolas’ paternal grandparents were composer Carmine Coppola and actress Italia Pennino.

Through his father, Nicolas is the nephew of director Francis Ford Coppola and actress Talia Shire. He is the cousin of directors Roman Coppola and Sofia Coppola, late film producer Gian-Carlo Coppola and actors Robert Carmine and Jason Schwartzman.

In addition to Nicolas, August Coppola is survived by sons Christopher and March and three grandchildren.

Taylor Mitchell, a 19-year-old Canadian folk singer described as “up and coming,” was killed in attack by coyotes in a Canadian national park on Tuesday.

The attack, described by an expert as “very unusual” and “not likely to be repeated,” occurred when Mitchell was hiking alone in the Breton Highlands national park in Nova Scotia. Passersby called for help when they heard Mitchell screaming, but authorities were too late to save her from the “extremely aggressive” two coyotes that attacked her. The singer was airlifted to a Halifax hospital, were she died yesterday.

Mitchell’s grieving manager, Lisa Weitz, said family and friends are devastated in the wake of the tragedy. She spoke to the Toronto Star and is described as “choking back tears” as she discussed the young woman’s life:

“She had just gotten her (driver’s) licence and her first set of wheels to take her on the road to the Maritimes.”

“She was just exhilarated to be on the road and performing. We are all devastated.”

Mitchell played what was to be her last performance on Saturday, and was set to play Wednesday in Sydney, N.S. She was on a short break from her touring when she set out on the ill-fated hike. Mitchell is only one of two people known to have been killed by coyotes.

Lady Gaga is giving away a lock of her hair with her new album.

The ‘Paparazzi’ singer is preparing to release a deluxe version of her new album ‘The Fame Monster’ as a special-edition art book next month with a number of bizarre gifts, including a piece of her blonde hair, a personal note from the songstress and a jigsaw puzzle.

The collector’s sets will also be filled with pictorials, posters, fanzines, paper dolls, 3D glasses and a behind-the-scenes look at her bizarre life.

As well as all the hits from the 2008 LP ‘The Fame’, the updated album will feature eight new tracks, including ‘Telephone’ – a duet with Beyonce Knowles.

Gaga is currently rehearsing hard for ‘The Monster Ball Tour’, which will coincide with the updated LP.

She explaine,: “I’ve been training for two hours a day to get ready for this. I sing on the treadmill! I do cardio and weights on top of my rehearsals. I want to get my whole body in prime condition so I can carry the show.”

The singer, who is known for her outrageous fashion choices and party lifestyle, also admitted she has tried hard to look “interesting” while allowing her to grow in self confidence.

She explained to Canada’s Flare magazine, “Fashion saved my life. It was complete liberation… it made me feel powerful, ambitious and much more resilient.

“We all need an image that screams, ‘I’m an individual!’ I think Jennifer Aniston is beautiful – she’s gorgeous – but I prefer to look interesting rather than pretty.”

‘The Fame Monster’ is due for release in the US on November 24.

Drummer Chuck Biscuits, who played with Black Flag and Danzig, has died of throat cancer at the age of 44.

Information is scarce, but an e-mail from a family member confirmed to a music blog that Biscuits succumbed to the disease on October 24th.

“In response to the inquires, thank you for all the support,” an anonymous family member wrote in an e-mail sent this morning. “Chuck did not survive his battle with throat cancer. He passed surrounded by his family on 10/24/09.”

Biscuits also worked with the Circle Jerks and Run DMC during his career, and is rumored to have been a consideration as a drummer for Nirvana before Dave Grohl was selected.

The New York Post’s Page 6 reports in an insinuation-heavy bit that CNN’s Anderson Cooper has been spotted in the world’s “most opulent hotel” with a guy-friend in Jaipur, India.

While not making any direct observations, the Post reports that Coop is on holiday with Benjamin Maisani, owner of downtown NYC’s Eastern Bloc. (I’ve been there, and I can’t recall the decor for all the adorable go-go boys clad in American Apparel briefs and knee socks.) Page 6 didn’t say that the pair are there as a pair per se, but did describe Cooper’s accomodation somewhat heavy-handedly:

Cooper’s $3,200-a-night room features a four-poster mahogany bed and views of the gardens of the former Maharaja palace. Our source said, “Anderson’s room has a large round bathtub. On the first night it was filled with bubbles and sprinkled with red rose petals.”

Cooper was spotted with Maisani about Manhattan in both June and September, often biking. The Post then only added that CNN “declined comment.”

The ‘Bride Wars’ actress doesn’t hold back when it comes to telling those close to her, including mother Goldie Hawn and stepfather Kurt Russell, the intimate details of her love life with New York Yankees baseball player Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez.

A source close to the star told Us Weekly magazine, “They love sex! They talk about it all day. Kate gets graphic talking about his body, even to her parents.”

The 30-year-old actress, who has a five-year-old son Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson, has grown increasingly close to the 34-year-old sportsman since they started dating in May and pals claim she has helped curb his wild ways.

A friend said, “She’s with him every second. Kate is changing him for the better. He’s more free-spirited.”

Earlier this month, rumors spread the couple are considering getting married, after they moved in together in New York.

A source said, “Kate is head-over-heels for Alex and he feels the same way. As long as things continue to be so great, they will get married. They are practically there already with the shared homes.”

Alex has two children, Natasha, five, and 18-month-old Ella, with ex-wife Cynthia.

David Beckham wants to look like Wolverine.

The Los Angeles Galaxy soccer player quashed speculation he has grown a beard out of superstition because his team have reached the play-offs, and has revealed the real reason is because he wants to dress as the mutant Marvel superhero, played by Hugh Jackman in the ‘X-Men’ films, for Halloween.

The 34-year-old sportsman, who has sons Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, seven, and four-year-old Cruz with his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham said, “Halloween is coming up and I was thinking of Wolverine from ‘X-Men’. It’s not some play-off ritual. I’m just lazy and can’t be bothered to shave. And everybody keeps telling me to cut it and I’m stubborn.”

While David is proud of his beard, he recently topped a poll for having the worst facial hair in showbiz.

Siobhan McDermott, head buyer of feelunique.com, who commissioned the poll said, “Bad facial hair can be disastrous for even the best looking men.”

Although David’s facial growth has been met with disapproval, he has received support from the Beard Liberation Front.

The group’s organizer Keith Flett said, “He’s got a retro beard, if you look at it, it’s almost like mutton chops. It’s the kind of stuff soccer players had in the 70s. It’s an interesting choice because he could have gone for the designer style beard that is trendy and fashionable.”
