London, England (CNS) – Ringo Starr has gotten help from his Beatles pal Paul McCartney on his new album. The two remaining members of the Fab Four are set to collaborate on two new songs for Starr’s upcoming album “Y Not.”

Starr said that McCartney played bass on “Peace Dream,” explaining, “Paul was doing the Grammys, so he came over to the house and was playing bass on ‘Peace Dream.’ So I played him this other track and Paul said, ‘Give me the headphones. Give me a pair of cans.’ And he went to the mike and he just invented that part where he follows on my vocal.”

“That was all Paul McCartney, and there could be nothing better.”

Starr said McCartney made it “bigger and fuller,” making it like a “conversation between us.” He also credited his pal for being a “gen-i-us” and an incredible bass player.

McCartney also provided vocals for the album’s first single, “Walk With You,” a new composition by Starr and Van Dyke Parks.

“Y Not” also features familiar and new names in the industry, such as Joe Walsh, Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, Richard Marx, and Glen Ballard among many others. It will be released January 12.

Eminem wants to be an ‘X Factor’ judge.

The rapper is reportedly a massive fan of the UK TV talent show, and has told judge and producer Simon Cowell to get him on the panel so he can give the hopefuls advice on what it’s like to be a global star.

Eminem doesn’t think the current judges – Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole, Australian singer Dannii Minogue, the sister of Kylie Minogue, and music manager Louis Walsh – have been successful enough to help the acts.

The ‘We Made You’ rapper said, “No disrespect to the current judges but you need people who are global, platinum-selling stars. You need to prepare contestants for what it’s really like out there, and what sort of pressure you are going to be under.”

The 37-year-old hip-hop star guarantees he would find a platinum-selling star if he and his producer friend Dr. Dre had a guest slot as judges.

He added to Britain’s The Sun newspaper, “So much average talent comes out of these reality shows. A hip-hop star will never win a show like the ‘X Factor’ without somebody like me on the panel. It needs somebody in power to open a door for them.

“I’m not sure I would have the time to do it full-time, but I would come out and be a guest judge. Simon tells it like it is and I am down with that.”

Ashley Greene loves fighting boys.

The ‘Twilight Saga: New Moon’ actress is a huge fan of martial arts and says it makes her feel empowered when she practices her skills on men.

She said, “I think part of it is that it’s really empowering and part of it is because it’s fun. It’s incredible to see what your body can do and what you’re capable of and not needing a weapon to defend yourself is a really great thing.

“It puts my dad at ease and gives him a little piece of mind. I started doing martial arts when I was really young and I ended up sparring with boys instead of girls because I was that into it and I didn’t want to beat up the girls. It’s a fun thing and I’ve always been really athletic.”

Ashley, 22, is planning on increasing her martial arts training after being put through her paces by the trainers on the third installment of the vampire franchise ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’.

She told America’s OK! magazine, “I’m definitely going to get more involved in it. When we were filming ‘Eclipse’ we had fight training for about six weeks, so that kind of re-sparked that bug. I had a personal trainer on top of that and they had us do mixed martial arts fighting as well.”

Taylor Lautner was bullied at school.

The ‘Twilight Saga: New Moon’ actor says fellow pupils used to ridicule his acting ambitions, which affected his confidence but he refused to give up on his dream.

He said, “I was never extremely confident. Because I was an actor, when I was in school there was a little bullying going on. Not physical bullying but people making fun of what I do… I just had to tell myself I can’t let this get to me. This is what love to do. And I’m going to continue to do it.”

The 17-year-old star, who gained 30lbs of muscle ahead of shooting the vampire sequel, also insisted the female attention he receives is for his character, werewolf Jacob Black, not himself.

He told America’s Rolling Stone magazine, “This could have happened to anybody who played Jacob. I was just lucky enough to be the one that has the opportunity. I’m so grateful. It’s ‘Twilight.’ It’s not me personally.”

Despite his youth, Taylor has impressed his ‘Twilight’ co-stars with his maturity.

Kristen Stewart said, “He’s so picky. I was the first person who got him to eat sushi. He’s very set in his ways. But that is very informative of his personality. He’s very steady. He has a really solid sense of himself.”

Katie Price is terrified Alex Reid will ruin her career by leaking naked pictures of her.

The glamour model fears the cage fighter will use her “most intimate photos ever” to get revenge after she dumped him on UK TV after leaving reality show ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.

A source said, “If sleazy photos of Katie came out it would destroy everything she’s trying to do.

“She has just come out of the jungle aiming to reinvent herself as a serious businesswoman and model parent.”

Katie’s mother Amy reportedly called Alex’s family to arrange to collect the pictures but her driver was refused entry.

However, the brunette beauty, who raises three children with ex-husband Peter Andre, allegedly has a set of graphic pictures of Alex.

The source added to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper, “Katie took these pictures of Alex for a reason and thinks they are her insurance policy. But he really doesn’t care.

“He’s got a lot of dirt on her and she must be terrified about it coming out and showing what she’s really like.”

Katie, also known as Jordan, became the unwitting star of a sex tape when home video footage of her romping with then-boyfriend Dane Bowers was leaked on to the internet and eventually released as a DVD in 2003.

A couple associated with a new addition to the “Real Wives of” franchise, The Real Housewives of Washington, brazenly crashed the White House state dinner Tuesday night, bragging about it on Facebook the whole time.

While the Michaele and Tareq Salahi weren’t on the guestlist and definitely skirted the rules by attending (says Michaele, “it was a last-minute attending,”), the Secret Service said the President was never in danger and that the fame-seeking Salahis were patted down for weapons and other dangerous items like everyone else present. But the New York Daily News points out that the Salahis may not be the only people under fire for their cheek:

The uninvited guests could face a trespassing charge unless someone from inside the White House staff slipped them in.

A spokesman told the Washington Post that a Secret Service checkpoint failed to “follow proper procedure to ensure these two individuals were on the invited guestlist.”

An official review is under way.

Michaele and Tareq Salahi turned to Facebook to gossip about the event all night, posing with Vice President Biden and Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and bragging in a joint status update:

“Honored to be at the White House for the state dinner in honor of India with President Obama and our First Lady!”

Lindsay Lohan has posed topless for French magazine Purple.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star has been photographed by Gucci photographer Terry Richardson for the publication. In the shoot she can be seen simulating sex with both a man and woman.

Lindsay, 23, previously turned down a $700,000 offer to appear topless in Playboy magazine.

She has, however, bared all on one previous occasion in a photo shoot for New York magazine in which she dressed as icon Marilyn Monroe.

Meanwhile, Lindsay will be busy today November 26, preparing Thanksgiving dinner with her family, at their home in Long Island, New York.

Lindsay’s mother Dina said, “Lindsay is making the garlic mashed potatoes. They are amazing!”

The traditional dinner will a family effort between Dina, Lindsay and sister Ali.

Dina added, “Ali is doing the stuffing and I’m doing the turkey and making sure nothing burns.

“Then, when it’s ready, we go around the table and say what we are thankful for. It’s just a Thanksgiving tradition we have at our house that we grabbed onto.

“We are so blessed and it’s important to share what we are thankful for, and not to take things for granted.”

Seal wants to adopt Heidi Klum’s daughter before Christmas.

The ‘Kiss From A Rose’ singer is keen to take legal guardianship of five-year-old Leni, his wife’s daughter from her relationship with Formula One boss Flavio Briatore, and has already begun the legal proceedings.

Heidi’s father Guenther said, “Heidi, Seal and the kids have always been a happy family – in everyday life and in their hearts. Then they should also be happy on paper.”

Seal – who has three children with Heidi, Henry, four, Johan, three, and six-week-old Lou – has been given the go-ahead by Flavio to adopt Leni.

Seal has always classed Leni as his own daughter, even though he did not father her, and he got together with Heidi while she was still pregnant with Leni.

Speaking soon after Henry’s birth, Seal said, “Leni is my first child. Just like Henry I saw her take shape and move in Heidi’s body. And I was present at her birth, too.

“Leni is my daughter and Henry is my son. I am happy to have two healthy children and that Henry will soon be saying papa to me just like Leni does already.”

Roman Polanski has reached a bail agreement with Swiss authorities.

The veteran film director had his offer of $4.5 million bail accepted, which should allow him to be released from prison and kept under house arrest at a ski chalet he owns in the resort of Gstaad.

However, the Swiss Justice Ministry is considering appealing against the bail conditions at the country’s Supreme Court – meaning he currently has to remain behind bars.

Polanski, 76, presently faces extradition to the US from the European country, where he was arrested on September 26, over a conviction for having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977.

Justice Ministry spokesman Folco Galli said, “We have ten days to appeal, but will come to our decision quickly.”

Galli said the reason for appealing was because ‘The Pianist’ director is considered a “high flight risk” and may flee back to his home in Paris.

Judges in Geneva were reportedly swayed in granting the bail offer because of Polanski’s family circumstances.

The director’s lawyer Herve Temime said his wife and two children are currently suffering the most because of the high-profile case.

He added that they are “very upset psychologically by this separation that is a true heartbreak for them”.

In 1977, Roman pleaded guilty to charges of having underage sex with 13-year-old Samantha Gailey, now known as Samantha Geimer.

He believed he would face a jail term of just 42 days, and claimed a judge had reneged on a plea bargain deal to reduce the charges from rape and serious sexual assault if he admitted under-age sex. However, on the day of his sentencing he fled to London then Paris.

France does not have an extradition treaty to the US, so if he escaped over the boarder he would be safe.

Lady Gaga dresses crazily now because she was bullied at school.

The ‘Bad Romance’ singer claims she was taunted as a teenager because of the way she looked and says she now wears bizarre clothes so any of her fans who are also being ridiculed can look to her for inspiration.

She told US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, “I want to create a space for my fans where they can feel free, and they can celebrate. I didn’t fit in at high school, I wanted to be like Boy George and I felt like a freak. So I like to create this atmosphere for my fans where they feel like they have a freak in me to hang out with, and they don’t feel alone.”

It took Lady Gaga, now 23, years to get over the bullying she suffered but she is now totally comfortable in her own skin and is proud of who she is.

She added, “It took a long time for me to be OK with myself. But I want my fans to know that it is OK. Sometimes in life you don’t always feel like a winner, but that doesn’t mean you’re not a winner.”
