Snoop Dogg wants to step into Oprah Winfrey’s shoes.

The ‘Signs’ rapper claims he is the ideal candidate to take over from the legendary talk show host when she stops making her self-titled programme in 2010.

He said, “I’m trying to proposition the networks right now. If you’re wanting a nice, black, exciting young male who wants to turn the TV world right up – get at me.

“I heard Oprah Winfrey is leaving and there’s nobody who can do what Oprah did but, ahem – hello! Hello!”

Snoop would also make his talk show a family affair.

He added, “I can bring my wife on so we can have the women and the men on there discussing things.”

Snoop’s previous TV experience started in 2002 with his MTV sketch show ‘Doggy Fizzle Televizzle’, and also includes his own reality show ‘Snoop Dogg’s Fatherhood’ and appearances in movies including ‘Old School’ and ‘Starsky and Hutch’.

He has also previously directed two pornographic movies ‘Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle’ and ‘Snoop Dogg’s Hustlaz: Diary of a Pimp’.

Tiger Woods was hospitalized following a single car accident  2:25 a.m. near his home in Windermere, FL.

CNN says Woods was “seriously injured” when, while pulling out of his driveway, his Cadillac SUV struck a fire hydrant. The vehicle then collided with a tree. Woods was taken to Health Central Hospital nearby, although the nature and extent of his injury or injuries was undisclosed. Woods may have already been released from the hospital, as staff denied he was being treated there when contacted.

(Update: Woods was treated for facial lacerations and released.)

According to CNN, charges are pending in the crash, although it is not clear who may be charged. The crash is under investigation, and alcohol is not thought to be a factor.

Penelope Cruz had to use muscles she hadn’t used since she was a teenager in new movie ‘Nine’.

The Spanish actress put in weeks of training for one particular scene in the musical movie – about a film director struggling in his relationships with women, in which Penelope plays the central character’s mistress – where she had to slide down a rope.

Describing the scene, Penelope said, “They mapped it out and showed me how it was done. I said I would never be able to do it but I worked and worked and regained the memory of muscles in my legs I hadn’t used since I was a teenager studying ballet.”

Penelope, 35, was rehearsing for the film’s rope scenes for three months before they were eventually completed, and was left with calluses on her hands and bleeding digits from sliding down the ropes so often.

She added to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, “I was stretching, running and going to the gym to get my arms strong to support me on the ropes. But with my hands, after a while you don’t feel the pain. I had the wounds dressed and carried on.”

Ashley Greene thinks vampire sex is 100 times better than normal sex.

The ‘Twilight Saga: New Moon’ star, who is believed to be dating Kings Of Leon rocker Jared Followill, has revealed she believes her blood-sucking on-screen persona Alice Cullen would have a much more fulfilling sex life than she does.

She said, “Take the best sex you’ve ever had in your life, multiply it by 100 and that’s vampire sex.”

The 22-year-old actress was desperate to star in the popular vampire franchise and wishes she was more like her character.

She explained, “Oh, my God, I wanted this part so badly. So when they told me I got it, I tried to play it all cool, you know, for about a minute.

“I love absolutely love Alice, my character. She’s sweet, sexy and a killer. I feel if I was in a real fight, I’d get my a*s kicked.”

Meanwhile, the brunette beauty has revealed there is another film franchise she wants to appear in.

She explained to Maxim magazine, “I want to hit up James Bond. That would be awesome.”

The Spice Girls musical will be called ‘Viva Forever’.

The girl group have chosen to name the proposed musical after their 1998 number one hit and the script for the show is presently being written.

The musical, which will tell the rags-to-riches rise to fame of the five members, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Mel C and Emma Bunton – is being written by Kim Fuller, who also penned the script for the group’s 1997 film ‘Spiceworld’. Kim is the sister of former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller.

The production will feature 14 of the band’s biggest songs, and is set to begin on November 5 next year.

It has previously been reported the group will hold a talent search to find the cast who will play the Spices on stage.

A source said, “It’s a fantastic new way to broaden out the Spice franchise and cash in on their personalities, their story and their songs.

“The girls would have to work intensely on a TV show for a short period of time. But then they can launch a musical which could run for months or even years.

“It will take on a life of its own. The concept could even be replicated in other countries. The sky is the limit with this one.”

The Spice Girls, who formed in 1994, last performed together in Toronto, Canada, in February 2008.

Robbie Williams proposed to his girlfriend Ayda Field live on Australian radio.

The ‘Bodies’ singer was on the Kyle and Jackie O breakfast show on Sydney’s 2DayFM to promote his new album ‘Reality Killed the Video Star’ and decided it was time to pop the question.

Ayda, 30, was in the studio with him when Jackie asked Robbie if there was any news he wanted to share.

The British singer turned to Ayda and said, “Is there anyone you want to get married to? Will you marry me?”

Ayda who has been dating the ‘Angels’ singer for the past two years – said ‘yes’, although Robbie hadn’t prepared for the proposal and had to slip Jackie’s ring onto her finger.

A spokesperson for Robbie is yet to confirm whether the engagement is genuine.

During the interview, Robbie also revealed he misses being in Take That.

He said, “I’ve always wanted to be in a band ever since I left Take That and looking at the love they’ve all got for each other, I fancy a bit of that myself.”

Lady Gaga never gets drunk because she is too focused on her career.

The singer claims she doesn’t go out and party hard because she doesn’t want a hangover affecting her work and she struggles to motivate herself to go clubbing.

She said, “I don’t go to nightclubs. You don’t see pictures of me falling out of a club drunk. I don’t go – and that’s because I usually go and then, you know, a whiskey and a half into it, I got to get back to work. Because I love my work so much, I find it really hard to go out and have a good time.”

Lady Gaga has revealed new song ‘Telephone’ – which features on her latest album ‘The Fame Monster’ – is about her strict work ethic and fear of fun.

She told MTV, “Something that I have or fear is never being able to enjoy myself. That’s my fear, that the phone’s ringing and my head’s ringing. Whether it’s a telephone or it’s just the thoughts in your head, that’s another fear.”

Eva Mendes visited prostitutes to prepare for a film role.

The Hollywood actress who plays a drug-addled hooker in new movie ‘Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call’, in which she stars alongside Nicolas Cage – wanted to understand the part better and found speaking to working girls an enlightening experience.

She said, “I met with call girls, the type who met clients in grand apartments. I learned quite a bit.”

The 35-year-old Latino star also revealed she had been looking forward to working with e-cult director Werner Herzog for the first time.

She told German magazine TV Movie, “I was bitterly disappointed. There were no tantrums, no shouting, no crazy demands. It was almost boring.”

Eva recently compared ‘Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call’ to Picasso’s artwork because it was completely different to her normal work.

She said, “It’s like a piece of art to me. It really is. When you go to the museum and you see a Picasso, and you can’t quite pinpoint what it is, but you know you’re attracted to it, and you accept it as art.”

Kate Moss led a conga line through a Take That concert on Wednesday night, November 25.

The supermodel laughed and giggled as she directed a line of dancing partygoers around the Tabernacle venue, in London’s Notting Hill, to the ‘Dirty Dancing’ track ‘(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life’ while her celebrity friends, including model Pixie Geldof, watched on in amusement.

Once the 35-year-old beauty reached the dancefloor she began dancing the Macarena with her pals.

The celebrity revellers were joined at the PlayStation3 SingStar Take That Extravaganza by hundreds of other guests who turned out to support the band as they launched their karaoke computer game and promote the HIV charity Body and Soul.

Take That – Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald – teamed-up with British comic James Corden for a rendition of their 2007 hit ‘Rule The World’.

The band got a little emotional as they told the crowd the evening reminded them of the intimate concerts they used to perform when they first started out.

In celebration of Take That’s 19-year long career, some of Britain’s newest stars – including Paloma Faith, Taio Cruz and Speech Debelle – also took to the stage to entertain the audience with their versions of the band’s hit records.

Rihanna thinks every woman should send their boyfriend naked pictures of themselves.

The ‘Russian Roulette’ singer was left mortified when several photos of her flashing her flesh were leaked onto the internet, but after getting over her initial embarrassment she realized it was no big deal.

She said, “If you don’t send your boyfriend naked pictures, then I feel bad for him. When it happened I sent my mom flowers first before I called and then she texted me – when the world is against me she’s always there supporting.”

Although she is now comfortable being naked on the net, Rihanna felt as though she had lost the last remaining shreds of her privacy in the initial aftermath.

The 21-year-old pop star, who had to cope with the photos being released by an “ex-boyfriend” just a few months after she was assaulted by Chris Brown in February, told US radio station ‘Hot 97’, “I just felt like my whole privacy was taken before that and then, when that came out, I thought, ‘Oh great, so now there’s nothing they don’t know about me and my private life.’ It was humiliating and it was embarrassing.”
