Rihanna is hoping to launch Cheryl Cole’s career in the US.

The ‘Umbrella’ singer has pledged to offer the Girls Aloud star, who recently launched her solo career, a spot supporting her on her American tour next year.

Rihanna – who, like Cheryl has worked with Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am on her latest album ‘Rated R’ said, “Cheryl is cute and incredible. I think I could help break her in the US. She’d wow them – I’d love to have her on tour, in Europe or America.”

‘Fight For This Love’ singer Cheryl has crossed paths with Cheryl several times in recent weeks.

Rihanna performed on UK TV talent show ‘The X Factor’, on which Cheryl is a judge, and also appeared as guest performer on a forthcoming show dedicated to the singer entitled ‘Cheryl Cole’s Night In’.

Rihanna, 21, also revealed she would love to play next year’s Glastonbury Festival, following in the footsteps of her mentor Jay-Z who performed at the world famous music event in the summer of 2008.

She said, “My tour is going to be a huge production. I would love to play Glastonbury. Even if it’s not headlining, but my tour stars in the spring so it may clash.”

Rihanna’s ‘Rated R’ European tour will start in Belgium next April and visit the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland before she performs nine dates in the UK.

Jennifer Garner struggles to be a working mother.

The ‘Juno’ actress, who has two daughters, Violet, four, and 11-month-old Serephina, with husband Ben Affleck – admits she finds it hard to find the right balance between her career and looking after her children.

She said, “There’s an internal battle. I need to work, I need to work, I need to work and I need to be home with my kids and the kids win.

“It’s about getting the kids up and fed, getting one to school, getting the other down for a nap, going to the grocery store, picking one up from school, getting the other one down for another nap, cooking dinner… I live my life at these two extremes. I’m either a full-time stay-at-home mom or a full-time actress.”

In 2007, Jennifer appeared in Broadway play ‘Cyrano de Bergerac’ and while she enjoyed every minute of doing it, she won’t do it again because of the unsociable hours.

She added to W magazine, “Theatre is hard on my family. You can’t tell your kids, ‘I’m exhausted. Wake up with someone else today.’ ”

Susan Boyle has spoken about her secret battle with depression.

The ‘Wilds Horses’ singer admitted she is prone to mood swings and fits of anger, saying her condition has its roots in her childhood, when she was bullied.

She said, “I can be up and down like a yo-yo. I can be depressed.

“I know I’m taking a big chance telling people this but you have to be honest. I used to be made a fool of at school. It was psychological bullying and that leaves a scar and it also cultivates a lot of anger.

“When people are a little bit slow others pick at them. My life was made absolute hell.”

The 47-year-old star, who led a lonely and reclusive life before she auditioned for UK reality TV talent show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, after which her audition video became an internet hit across the world – released her debut album, ‘I Dreamed A Dream’, three weeks ago and has already sold over three million copies, breaking a number of chart records worldwide.

Susan, who suffers from learning difficulties after she was deprived of oxygen at birth, added that performing onstage is the only place she feels comfortable, and can engage with an audience.

She told The Sun newspaper, “I can be a bit funny after being tired but whenever I go on stage I forget all about that.

“I feel I’ve got a communication with the audience. I’m told I’m a different person on stage.”

Susan has previously told how she was beaten “every day” as a schoolchild, and felt “left behind” by the education system in her native Scotland.

Lindsay Lohan claims she has saved 40 lives since arriving in India.

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress, who has been in the country since Wednesday December 9, to make a documentary about the trafficking of women and children for the BBC, says her work is already making a difference and is thrilled to see the impact it is having.

She tweeted, “Over 40 children saved so far… Within one day’s work. This is what life is about… Doing THIS is a life worth living!!!

“traffiking is a big issue here, I’m doing what I can, and I will continue to do so as long as life when time permits it (sic).”

Lindsay, who wants to remove herself from her partying lifestyle in Los Angeles, has also urged her fans and fellow stars to help vulnerable people all over the world.

She said, “Keep telling people about what’s going on in all 2nd and 3rd world countries and people will want to help too.

“Focusing on celebrities and lies is so disconcerting, when we can be changing the world one child at a time. Hope everyone can see that.”

The 23-year-old star, who will fly out of India on Saturday December 12, plans to continue her good deeds by teaming up with local hospitals to give toys to sick children.

Michael Jackson’s brothers are planning a world tour as the Jackson 4.

The remaining members of the group – Marlon, Tito, Jackie and Jermaine – announced their plans yesterday December 9, for a reunion next year, and hope to recreate the sound that made them stars as the Jackson 5 before Michael went solo.

Jackie, 58, said, “For 40 years, we’ve had great support from our fans around the world. And we should give them a great tour.

Jermaine, 54, added, “We want to go out there, hit the road and just jam.”

His brothers also revealed they all knew Michael – who passed away from acute Propofol intoxication on June 25 – was dead before their parents got in touch.

Jackie was shopping when someone walked past and said “Michael Jackson died” not realising who he was.

He said, “I walked outside and I got a phone call from my mother – she told me that it was true.”

Jermaine “found out from CNN” and Marlon got a phone call from a friend who asked if his brother was alright.

He said, “As I was calling my brothers, calling my mom, my daughter downstairs said, ‘Dad, Uncle Michael is dead.’ It was unbelievable.”

Kate Moss wears a pair of 40-year-old jeans.

The supermodel was given the denims by Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards and admits she can’t bring herself to throw anything out of her wardrobe.

She said, “Do I ever throw out clothes? Definitely not! I’ve got classics.

“Keith Richards gave me a pair of black jeans he bought in Brazil in 1969 and I still wear them – they fit me perfectly.

“For my 21st birthday, Johnny Depp bought me a copy of the dress Julie Christie wore in ‘Shampoo’. He had it made and every sequin is hand-sewn. I still wear it.”

Kate – who dated Johnny in the 90s – is holding on to many of her fashion favourites to pass on to seven-year-old daughter Lila Grace, and says her shoes have already caught the youngster’s eye.

She added to Glamour magazine, “Accessories stand the test of time and you can hand them down to your children.

“Lila can walk around in heels already but I’ve told her they’re only for special occasions. I don’t want her in heels yet – she’s only seven.”

Sam Elliot believes Hugh Grant “gets away with s**t” because he’s so charming.

The ‘Did You Hear About The Morgans?’ actor claims his British co-star, who he appears alongside with Sarah Jessica Parker in the new romantic comedy, could talk himself out of any bad situation because of his well-spoken voice and gentlemanly demeanour.

He told BANG Showbiz, “I’ve never known anybody that can get away with the s**t that Hugh Grant gets away with. And he gets away with it because he’s so damn charming. He gets away with everything. I couldn’t get away with the stuff he gets away with – I mean I wouldn’t even try!”

The 65-year-old film star learned a lot from his ladies man co-star.

He explained, “Hugh Grant is the main man. He’s the number one romantic comedy man in the world.”

Despite his own glittering career, Sam admits he found it daunting working with Hugh, Sarah and director Marc Lawrence.

Sam – who starred in ‘Ghost Rider’, ‘Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid’ and ‘Roadhouse’, which also starred Patrick Swayze – explained: “The highlight was just being part of it. You know, I don’t often get romantic comedies coming my way. It was wonderful – particularly when it’s a script from director Marc Lawrence. He is very smart. He really gives in his filmmaking and makes it enjoyable to be on set everyday. If you couple that with the fact that you are working with Hugh and Sarah… it was incredible. But it was a little daunting initially.”

Madonna’s son wants to wear her clothes.

The ‘4 Minutes’ singer says her adopted tot David, four, is her biggest fan and is fascinated by the outfits she wears in her pop promos and on stage.

She said, “He knows every song, every word, every step, and he wants to wear all the costumes. He likes my dress that I wear in ‘La Isla Bonita’.”

Madonna, 51, also revealed her other children are showing signs of following in her footsteps and she was particularly impressed with her eight-year-old son Rocco – whose father is her ex-husband Guy Ritchie – joining her on stage at her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ world tour because he is usually so introverted.

She added, “When he jumped on stage to dance in my last show I was shocked actually and secretly, unbeknownst to me, they’re all studying privately with my dancers.

“Rocco comes out and busts out like a moonwalk or, you know, some kind of break dancing move and I’ll ask him, ‘Where did you get that?’ He’s always been quite shy so I was shocked when he wanted to be in the show.”

The singer’s 13-year-old daughter Lourdes also joined her mother on stage and astonished the ‘Celebration’ star with her professionalism.

She told ‘GMTV’, “I really thought of her in a very professional way, and I didn’t want to distract her.

“I checked her out a few times in the show and she looked so chilled out and laid back and nonplussed by the whole thing, that I was like, ‘OK. I’m not worried about her!’ ”

Despite her worldwide fame, Madonna, who also has an adopted daughter, Mercy, four – insists the children cope well with the attention surrounding her and them and manage to stay grounded.

She added, “They get great bonuses and perks out of being my children and they know it, and they’re very grateful and appreciative for it.

“I think they are pretty balanced in terms of how they view fame or celebrity or things like that. I think it took them a while to adjust, but I think they’re OK about it.”

Sir Paul McCartney’s marriage to Heather Mills is his biggest regret of the last ten years.

The Beatles star, who has a six-year-old daughter Beatrice with the former model-and-charity-campaigner, admits if he could go back and change anything since 2000 it would be his union to Heather.

He said in an interview with Q magazine, “I suppose the marriage has to be a prime contender for mistake of the decade. But I don’t want to down anyone.

“These things happen you know? But I tend to look at the positive side, which is that I have another beautiful daughter out of it.”

Despite the acrimonious divorce, Paul insists he has had a good time for most of the last ten years.

He said, “I’ve managed to feel quite fulfilled this decade. If I hadn’t done my side project The Fireman I think I would wish I’d done that because it freshened ideas up for me.”

Paul, 67, also quashed rumours he would be retiring soon.

He revealed, “I have too much fun. Why would I retire? Sit at home and watch TV? No thanks. I’d rather be out playing.”

Paul and Heather married in 2002 and divorced in 2008. The ‘Yesterday’ singer had to pay his former spouse a $24.7 million settlement.
