According to the Daily Telegraph, slightly whingey, snaggle-toothed Scottish tennis star Andy Murray has been given the boot by girlfriend Kim Sears over the amount of time he spends on his PlayStation 3 each day. *Sniff* I’m so proud of you, Andy.

The culprit game? Well, it’s Modern Warfare 2, isn’t it. Surprised you need to ask really. Does anybody out there play anything else nowadays? Anyway, here’s what a “source” told the paper:

“One of the causes was the world number four’s long hours playing video tennis and PlayStation 3 games such as the best selling Call of Duty sequel.”

According to former coach Brad Gilbert, Murray regularly plays games for seven hours a day. Apparently, that’s not “normal.” Pffft.

George Clooney showed off the two loves in his life on Monday night, November 30.

The Hollywood actor took both his mother and girlfriend to the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie ‘Up In The Air’ – in which he stars as Ryan Bingham, a corporate downsizer who travels the country delivering bad news.

The 48-year-old star proudly walked up the red carpet with his girlfriend of five months, 31-year-old Italian TV presenter Elisabetta Canalis, and mother Nina Clooney, 70.

George, who has recently been inseparable from his new girlfriend, even poked fun at Elisabetta.

He said, “This is my mother… and then this random woman just came up!”

His mother Nina was heard joking “so, I guess you’re my date tonight”, when George was dragged away for interviews and she was left with Elisabetta.

This is not the first time George has brought his mother and a girlfriend to one of his film premieres.

In 2004, he shared the red carpet with his then-lover, British model Lisa Snowdon, and Nina at the premiere of ‘Ocean’s Twelve’.

Alicia Keys’ new album is about overcoming depression.

The ‘Girlfriend’ singer almost quit the music industry when her grandmother passed away in 2006 but has learned to channel her emotions use them to create a “new sound” for her latest LP ‘The Element of Freedom’.

She explained, “I found more freedom. Before, I thought I could only show the strong side of me. Now there’s a mixture of strong and delicate. A new sound, a new emotion. That’s a lot of who I am right now.

“In the past, I was locking myself in the studio because I thought it was the only way to create music. This was a more casual way to do it.

“The tour will take me all over the world for a year and I can’t wait to play these songs.”

In 2006, the 28-year-old songstress almost suffered a breakdown after her grandmother passed away. She took a three-week holiday in Egypt to grieve for her loss before she released ‘As I Am’ a year later.

She explained to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper, “With the last album, I was really trying to find myself and I was feeling extremely overworked. I was also starting to understand that I was dealing with certain people in business that were not really for me and they all had their intentions and thoughts. I was snappy, I was nasty, I was mean, losing my grandmother during that time as well. Everything felt like it could all just tumble down at once.”

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will try for another baby in the New Year.

The couple, who celebrated their third anniversary last month, are said to have agreed the time is right to add to their family and give three-year-old daughter Suri a sibling.

A friend of the couple told America’s OK! magazine, “She no longer feels like she’s just Mrs. Cruise. She’s her own person again. She and Tom have their disagreements, but deep down they love each other very much. That’s what is important.”

Tom, 47, and 30-year-old Katie, who met in April 2005, have been contemplating having another baby for some time.

It had been reported Katie, who recently finished shooting ‘The Extra Man Mary’ and ‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark,’ wanted to star in another box office hit before she expanded her family.

A source said, “Katie had to put movies on hold after Suri.”

Katie’s last film ‘Mad Money’ failed to impress at the box office when it was released in 2008. The crime comedy, also starring Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton, only managed to match its estimated $22 million budget when its cinema run ended.

Will Ferrell wants to play Simon Cowell in a movie of his life.

The comedy filmmaker would “love” to portray the music mogul on big screen because he is convinced there are huge similarities between Simon and his fictional news reader character Ron Burgundy from the film ‘Anchorman’.

He said, “I would love to play Simon Cowell in a movie. It would be my dream role. Simon’s become a legend in five years. Nobody in the US knew who he was five years ago and now he is one of the most famous people on TV.

“It wouldn’t be that hard for me to play him because I see a lot of Ron Burgundy in Simon Cowell.”

In the 2004 box office hit, Will portrayed haphazard 70s newsreader Ron – who was known for his permanent tan, immaculately groomed hair and outrageous views.

The 42-year-old actor believes the similarities between the iconic character and Simon are uncanny.

He explained to Britain’s The Sun newspaper, “Like Simon, Ron was the biggest thing on TV, loved himself and had that whole irresistible middle-aged man thing going on. I could play Simon, but to be honest Simon could play Ron. They are like long-lost twin brothers separated at birth. Simon Cowell and Ron Burgundy are pretty much the same role, apart from Simon being ruder.”

The comic is also keen to be made over like the 50-year-old ‘X Factor’ and ‘American Idol’ judge.

Will added, “It would be pretty fun getting into character as well. I would have to walk along the street and say, ‘Hey, you’re too fat to be a star,’ or go to a concert and shout out to the artist, ‘Never gonna happen.’ I could also probably get whoever is making the movie to pay for me to get Simon teeth done. How great would it be – to have a smile like that? It literally shines when he opens his mouth. I would become irresistible.”

Tiger Woods has given in to pressure and speculation surrounding the events that lead to his late-night one car accident and subsequent hospitalization last week, making a statement on his website.

Woods didn’t come out and admit an affair per se, but he conceded “transgressions” in the statement and hinted at “personal sins” while knocking the gossip mill churning around his family life. The news comes as loose lipped other woman, 24-year-old waitress Jaimee Grubbs, released voicemails from Woods to US Weekly that cast Woods’ actions in a suspicious light. The message, apparently dated November 24th, asks Grubbs to conceal her identity on an outgoing message to circumvent Woods’ wife from learning her identity:

“Hey it’s Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor,” Woods says in the message. “Can you please, uh, take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. If you can, please take your name off that and, um, what do you call it, just have it as a number on the voicemail. Just have it as your telephone number. You have to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye.”

While the other other woman, Rachel Uchitel, categorically denies being a side dish for the famous golfer, Grubbs has no such qualms and disclosed an alleged 20 sexual encounters and hundreds of instances of sexting to the gossip magazine. Woods doesn’t refer to Grubbs by name or confirm relationships with any specific women. Full text of Tiger Woods’ statement from his blog, below:

I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.

Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.

But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don’t share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one’s own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn’t have to mean public confessions.

Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it’s difficult.

I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.

Lindsay Lohan is “way into” John Mayer.

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress sparked speculation she wants a romantic relationship with the ‘Gravity’ singer, who has previously dated Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz and Jessica Simpson, after shunning former lover Samantha Ronson to try and spend time with the star at New York’s Butter nightclub on Monday November, 30.

A source said, “She would follow his every move. He would dance with the waitresses and then come back. She was way into it.

“Sam and Lindsay were getting along great but as friends.”

Lindsay and John were said to still be partying together at 3am, though it is unclear if they left together.

However, hours after arriving home, Lindsay sent John a message on social networking website Twitter, saying: “@johncmayer shhhhhhhhhhhhhh butter-face . (sic)”

Although John failed to respond publicly to Lindsay’s message, he revealed to his fans he is having women troubles as he is being pursued by several girls.

He Tweeted, “I’ve got two women texting me they want to come over. What’s that, Modern Warfare 2? You understand me? Done. Night, ladies!”

Rihanna always wears “sexy” underwear.

The Barbados-born singer says girls should always make an effort when selecting their lingerie, because you don’t know who you may be disrobing in front of.

She said, “This winter I am loving houndstooth, lace, silk. I would say always wear some sexy lingerie under your clothes. Even though you have to be all bundled up, you’ll look cute when you take it off.”

The ‘Russian Roulette’ hitmaker, who is currently single, also revealed she struggles to maintain her super-sexy figure, and has to limit her intake of certain foods.

She added to more! magazine, “I should be on a low-carb diet. My genetics say that I shouldn’t have carbs at all, but ‘m not a disciplined eater unless I have something big coming up like a photo shoot or video. I’m still having a hard time being a healthy eater.”

Spoilers in white for anyone who DVRed the finale last night.

But, whoa. If you found some of the season to be draggy, last night was a major kick up the ass for the show, with storylines for many arcs and characters taking sharp turns. Season 2, Episode 13 of Sons of Anarchy ended on a major cliffhanger, with Gemma finally getting revenge on Zobelle’s daughter for her role in the brutal gang rape earlier in the season, Half Sack getting stabbed by the Irish gangster who ultimately snatched Jax’s baby Abel and fled… by boat. The episode ended with Jax’s anguished cry and the Sons of Anarchy logo, and all anyone could ask is when the hell Season 3 of Sons of Anarchy is starting.

The closest thing to information I could find was on the Seattle Post Intellegencer:

Season 3 may be months away, but creator Kurt Sutter already has some ideas. And they don’t bode well for Abel, or for Jax and Tara’s relationship. “[I want] to explore what happens to a couple when they’re faced with a tragedy like that,” Sutter says. “To be honest with you, I don’t know where it’s going to go. Does Tara blame herself? Does Tara blame Jax? Does Jax blame Tara? But that will be a very real dynamic in their relationship.”

But as a fan of FX’s highly acclaimed and massively underrated The Riches, which ended on a similar cliffhanger to never return, the lack of confirmed dates is scary. I, like most Sons of Anarchy fans, can only wish and wait and hope for news on Season 3, as FX hasn’t yer released information on the specifics yet.

Katie Price will be “tied” to Peter Andre forever.

The model, who raises three children, Harvey, seven, Junior, four and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii with her ex-husband, believes she will be linked to the singer forever because of their children and happy past.

She said, “I will always love him. We will forever be tied to each other.”

Katie dumped her cage-fighting ex-boyfriend Alex Reid on TV last week after quitting reality TV show ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.

The 31-year-old beauty had been dating muscular Alex, who was set to propose, since her relationship to the ‘Behind Closed Doors’ singer Peter ended in May.

However, the newly-single starlet – who has been reportedly calling Peter everyday in a bid to try and win him back – is now desperate to make up for her “foolish” behavior.

She told Britain’s OK! magazine, “I realize I’ve acted like a fool behaving the way I did. I’m sorry I’ve upset people.

“It doesn’t get you anywhere being bitter and twisted.”

Meanwhile, Katie’s friend Alex Curran, who is married to British soccer star Steven Gerrard, hopes the model’s improved temperament will allow her relationship to Peter settle down.

Alex said, “I think Katie’s time in the jungle has done her good. It’s given her time to reflect on everything, which was probably good idea. I just hope now that things will calm down between her and Pete.”
