Jude Law’s ‘Sherlock Holmes’ costume felt like a “razor blade” against his throat.

The British actor, who portrays the title character’s sidekick Watson in the Guy Ritchie blockbuster, was left uncomfortable and hungry while wearing the old-fashioned attire because the restricting collar meant it was difficult for him to swallow his lunch.

He explained, “I had to wear this terribly stiff, tight collar as part of my costume which was just horrible. On the first day I actually tried staying in character and wearing it to lunch. It was like trying to swallow sushi with a razor blade around my neck!”

The ‘Alfie’ star recently admitted he thought he was “insane” to sign up to the movie.

He only agreed to the part when he heard Robert Downey Jr. would be portraying the famous fictional detective.

He said, “I met Robert Downey Jr. and wanted to work with him and so I said I’d do ‘Sherlock Holmes’. Two days later I thought, ‘What am I doing? This is insane because is it really what I want to do?’

“Luckily, it evolved into a wonderful experience.”

Miley Cyrus has broken the record for the largest ever attendance at London’s O2 Arena.

The actress-and-singer played to 16,196 fans at the venue when she played the third of her five sold-out concerts there earlier this month.

Natalie Portman doesn’t believe she would have become an actress if she’d had brothers or sisters.

The ‘Closer’ star is an only child and doesn’t believe her parents would have been able to devote so much time to her and take her to all her auditions if she’d had siblings.

Natalie, who has been acting since the age of 12 and landed her first major big screen role in ‘Leon’ aged 13 said, “I had the sole attention of my parents. And you know what? If I had had brothers or sisters I would have never become an actress.

“My mother has accompanied me to every audition and every acting class. With more children that would have never been possible. They would have been jealous of me.”

The 28-year-old star insists the unwavering support of her mother Shelley and father Avner meant she wouldn’t go off the rails when she achieved Hollywood success.

She added to German magazine TV Movie, “Family and friends have always been there for me – this is very important because in Hollywood it goes up and down. One day you are celebrated, the next day they just bully you. That’s quite exhausting for the psyche!”

Natalie also believes her time at Harvard College has helped her become a better actress.

The ‘Brothers’ star, who studied at the prestigious university while she was shooting the ‘Star Wars’ prequels said, “It simply was the best acting school! I learned to observe people, assess situations – since I’ve been there I can do it a lot better. You learn excellent skills to put yourself in a film character.”

The 24-year-old former Playboy model, who gave birth to 9lb 5oz Hank Randall Baskett IV on December 11, is loving being a parent for the first time, but admits it has its hazards.

Kendra, who is married to American footballer Hank Baskett, also defended her choice of morning beverage to a concerned tweeter, writing, “i dont think ONE cup of coffee is goin to harm my breastmilk… go back to 1918 if u think that about formula… lolol. (sic)”

Hugh Grant has made it his New Year’s resolution not to smile.

American critics have been so savage about the comedy, about a couple in the witness protection scheme, the reviews would wipe a smile off anyone’s face.

The Los Angeles Times described Hugh as never being “less charming” and USA Today said, “Hugh grimaces and winces but none of it will draw even a tepid laugh. He has more chemistry with the grizzly bear in the movie than with co-star Sarah Jessica Parker.”

Alexandra Burke doesn’t want any gifts for Christmas.

I went online and found these tiny teacup pigs that stay under 12lb when they’re fully grown. They’re incredibly smart, lovable, really clean and litter trained.”

The 28-year-old hotel heiress – who has a total of 13 pets – is so attached to her animals she thinks of them as her children.

She said:,“They’re so lovable and the love they give is unconditional. They make me happy and it feels good to have them around. I make sure I take very good care of them all – they’re like my children.”

Lily Allen is still undergoing therapy sessions to deal with her miscarriage.

The singer tragically lost the baby in 2007 and admits she is still learning to cope with the grief.

Lily, who was in a relationship with Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons at the time – said in an interview with Grazia magazine, “I’ve had really bad, unbelievably awful times, but if I hadn’t had them I wouldn’t get the happiness I’ve got now.

“I couldn’t even compute the emotions going through my head, but I was having to put out a press release about my miscarriage. I had this public sympathy for about five days and then everyone was on my case again and I didn’t know what was happening to me.

“I have therapy on and off but at that time it really helped me. Then I started to deal with it and move on.”

The 24-year-old British star has described the miscarriage as the “worst time of her life” because she repressed a lot of her emotions.

She explained, “I didn’t even start beginning to deal with it until the baby’s due date. Then it hit me like a house collapsing.

“The week before the due date, all I wanted to do was talk about my baby but I also felt I shouldn’t. I was working non-stop and I had all this inside my head. I still get sad. I still think. I don’t mark what would have been my baby’s birth but it’s always there. It changed a lot.”

Rapper Kid Cudi was allegedly arrested on Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles Monday evening on assault allegations.

Photos from the scene circulating online (including one above, not sure where it came from though) would appear to show Kid Cudi cuffed by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Reports are sketchy but what is known is that an unnamed individual told police that Cudi had attacked him.

Kid Cudi’s manager Plain Pat though took to Twitter to claim that Cudi was not arrested. Unconfirmed reports suggest that it was a case of mistaken identify, and Cudi was released before being formally arrested.

The alleged arrest follows assault allegations against Cudi at a Vancouver event earlier this month.
