Boy band Bros are to reform

The 80s pop band Bros – who are best known for their song ‘When Will I Be Famous?’ – are planning to do a one-off concert at London’s O2 Arena.

Luke Goss – who was joined in the group by twin brother Matt and third member Craig Logan – said: “We want to do a show, somewhere like the O2, and then say, ‘Thanks a lot, see ya!’

“If I can find a bunch of people – and Matt and I can see eye-to-eye with them on things we want to do – then, yes, we’re doing it.”

Luke, 41, is adamant the reunion will not be a permanent one.

He added: “We’d do a show that was amazing. I want it to stand up today. I don’t want it to be a nostalgia-only driven thing.”

Since the band split in 1992, Luke become an actor and has starred in several films including ‘Blade II’.

Matt continued to release music and also appeared on UK reality TV show ‘Hell’s Kitchen’, while Craig, who was once engaged to Dannii Minogue, is now the boss of a record label.

He left the band in 1989 and sued for unpaid royalties, later receiving £1 million.

Ronan Keating says Christmas will not be the same without Stephen Gately

Ronan Keating admits the group’s traditional festive get-together on Boxing Day will be strange without the late star, who died of natural causes aged 33 in October.

Ronan said: “It’s going to be hard, because we always saw each other at some point over the Christmas holidays. It’s going to be tough not having him around.

“The only way to get through this is to look after each other. We’re always on the phone to each other, we go for dinner and make sure we keep our minds occupied.”

Despite the tragedy, the singer is trying to learn from it and appreciating everything he has.

He added: “Stephen’s death has put everything into perspective and taught me that life is short and fragile. You have to smile every day, laugh every day and tell your loved ones that you love them every day because you never know what’s round the corner.”

Stephen died of natural causes after a night out with his husband Andrew Cowles in Majorca.

Elton John and David Furnish will spend Christmas visiting their famous godchildren

Elton John and David Furnish – who married in a lavish civil ceremony in 2005 – have 10 godchildren between them and plan to spend the Christmas period visiting their loved ones.

David Furnish, 47, said: “We’re going to Venice! We have an apartment there.

“We’ll try and see them all in the lead up to Christmas. I saw Damien Hurley, Elizabeth’s son at the weekend. And I had dinner with the Beckhams two weeks ago, and I saw Brooklyn there.”

David also said he and Elton – who are fighting to adopt a tot from the Ukraine – have spent lots of money on presents for the celebrity kids, because they don’t yet have their own.

He said: “All the godchildren will be very well looked after!”

Taylor Swift has asked for soft furnishings from Santa this Christmas

Taylor Swift – who has just moved out of her parents’ home and bought her own place in Nashville, Tennessee – says the only gifts she is asking for are soft furnishings to decorate her home.

The 19-year-old star said: “I have just bought my first home in Nashville. So I will go out soon, and live alone for the first time in my life.

“I’d like many cushions, curtains, bedding and picture frames for my new apartment”.

She added: “If I find some free time in London, I would like to buy furniture and accessories. I’ve heard that there are great ones in the Portobello Road antique shops. ”

Taylor also revealed that her father – who was once a Christmas tree salesman – loved the festive time of year so much, that the whole family went overboard decorating the house every year.

She said: “Christmas here at home is always a big celebration. Each room is decorated; I’m looking forward to it.”
