
Los Angeles, CA, US (CNS) – Susan Boyle likely didn’t dream that she would sell nearly 3 million copies in just five weeks in release as her album, “I Dreamed A Dream,” tops the Billboard 200 Albums Chart for a fifth week at #1. She sells another 510,000 copies and will surpass 3 million copies sold before the year is up.
At #2 is the debut from Mary J. Blige for her latest, “Stronger with Each Tear.” The R&B singer’s ninth studio album, featuring the single “One” with Drake,” sells 330,000 in its first week. At #3 is Andrea Bocelli who sells another 284,000 copies of “My Christmas,” bringing his total to over 2 million copies.
In her second week, Alicia Keys sells another 280,000 copies of her fourth studio album, “The Element of Freedom.” At #5, Taylor Swift moves another 224,000 of “Fearless,” currently at 5.2 million copies sold in total. Lady Gaga’s “The Fame” moves another 169,000 copies of “The Fame,” including the new “The Fame Monster” EP, at #6 this week.
Justin Bieber moves up to #7 this week, selling 157,000 copies of his album, “My World.” Carrie Underwood moves past the 1 million copy mark selling 153,000 copies of “Play On” this week. Meanwhile, the only other top 10 debut this week comes from the debut of Lil Wayne’s Young Money, “We Are Young Money,” at #9 with 142,000 copies.
Rounding out the top 10 is Michael Buble with “Crazy Love,” which falls to #10 selling 137,000 copies this week.
