New unreleased footage taken in 1984 shows the fateful moment that Michael Jackson’s hair caught fire during the filming of a Pepsi commercial.

The now infamous incident which put Michael Jackson in hospital for treatment for serious burns to his head, is often credited as the point at which Jackson started acting strangely, from bleaching his skin white, through to a full range of other behavior that earned him the tag “Whacko Jacko.”

The new footage obtained by UsWeekly shows Jackson from behind: the first scene shows Jackson performing the first take for the commercial and the pyrotechnics being fired safely. The second scene shows the fateful sixth take with the pyrotechnics going off early and Jackson’s hair catching fire, and the delay between the fire starting and being put out.

Sources say that Jon Gosselin got engaged to girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, on the weekend while in France.

Apparently John Gosselin and girlfriend Hailey Glassman were spied at their $2000 a night hotel suite drinking champagne, enjoying a lavish lobster dinner and celebrating their engagement. Gosselin, Glassman and several friends went out to the V.I.P. Room nightclub in St. Tropez after their dinner and Hailey was flashing around her engagement ring to patrons then kissing and hugging Jon.

Jon gave Hailey a $180,000 engagement ring that was designed by Edouard Nahum and consists of a skull surrounded by four black diamonds.

The source says that Jon and Hailey have been dating for two months and say they knew the other was ‘the one’ shortly after they met. Vanessa Hugdens, who has been dating her ‘High School Musical’ co-star Zac Efron for around three years, wants to concentrate on her career and isn’t ready to settle down.

She said: “I think marriage and starting a family is great, but I’m so focused on my career right now that it doesn’t really cross my mind.”

Although Vanessa appreciates the support she has received from her young ‘High School Musical’ fans, she wants to move on and impress a new generation of moviegoers with “edgier” roles.

She added to People magazine: “The fact that kids look up to me is flattering. But at the end of the day, I want to do R-rated films, and I want to do things that are a bit edgier, so maybe some kids can’t see some of them.

“I just think it’s really important to try different things. I think a lot of people get stuck doing the same routine, and I’m just not content with that. I love trying new things and doing new hobbies and just exploring life.”

Elizabeth Taylor has been hospitalized amid reports she is struggling to cope with Michael Jackson’s death.

The 77-year-old actress – who was one of the late pop star’s closest friends - was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital from her Beverly Hills home yesterday (July 14) after reportedly being left weak and exhausted from the grief of losing the musician.

New York Post columnist Cindy Adams, who is a friend of Taylor’s, said: “Not to add aggravation onto the Jacksons, but the source of her condition is simple - the heart’s gone out of her.

“She’s suffering weakness, tiredness, exhaustion and is emotionally drained. She hasn’t stopped crying. She and Michael were devoted to one another.”

Taylor had been getting ready to fly to London to attend the opening of the singer’s ‘This Is It’ residency at The O2 arena – which was due to open on Monday (July 13) - when she was told he had died from a suspected cardiac arrest last month.

The frail screen legend – who uses a wheelchair because of scoliosis, which causes abnormal curving of the spine – began screaming when she heard the news and has since been inconsolable since.

Although she has been hospitalized, Taylor had previously revealed she would be going to a medical centre for some tests.

She wrote on her Twitter page: “I wanted you my friends to know that I’m going into the hospital Wednesday (15.07.09) or Thursday (16.07.09) to complete a test I was in the middle of.”

Her publicist has also denied her hospital visit is related to Jackson’s death.

Despite their close bond, the ‘Cleopatra’ actress did not attend Jackson’s memorial service at Los Angeles’ Staples Center last Tuesday (07.07.09) after deciding she wanted to remember her friend in private.

She wrote on her Twitter account: “I’ve been asked to speak at the Staples Center. I cannot be part of the public whoopla. And I cannot guarantee that I would be coherent to say a word.”

Aware there would be speculation regarding her health, Taylor recently made posting on the website saying: “Although my grief over Michael could not be any deeper, I am not on suicide watch.”

In the immediate aftermath of his death she released an emotional tribute to the ‘Billie Jean’ singer, saying: “I loved Michael with all my soul and I can’t imagine life without him. We had so much in common and we had such loving fun together.

“He will live in my heart forever but it’s not enough. My life feels so empty. I don’t think anyone knew how much we loved each other.

“It was the purest most giving love I’ve ever known. Oh God! I’m going to miss him.”

Matthew McConaughey has reportedly agreed to tie the knot before his girlfriend Camila Alves - who is pregnant with the couple’s second child - gives birth this winter.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine: “Camila was fine about not being married when they had their first child, son Levi, a year ago, but she wants a ring on her finger before their next baby arrives.”

Matthew, 39, has previously claimed he does not believe in marriage, but is said to have rethought his opinion after becoming a father.

The source added: “He immediately agreed to Camila’s request. Having his son has changed his priorities in life.” Another insider said: “Matthew’s been with Camila for more than two years and by January he’s going to be a dad for the second time. He feels it’s time to give up bachelorhood.”

It has been alleged the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) believe Michael Jackson’s death may have been due to an intentionally delivered overdose of surgical drug Anaesthesia Propofol, and they believe Michael’s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray could have been involved.

Gossip website TMZ reports: “Law enforcement sources say there is already ‘plenty of powerful evidence’ linking Dr. Murray as the person who administered the drug to Jackson. The evidence includes various items found in Jackson’s house, including the Propofol, an IV stand and oxygen tank.”

“And we’ve learned the LAPD has had ‘multiple conversations’ with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, although the case has not been formally presented to the district attorney.”

Propofol is a sedative which is so strong it is used to put patients to sleep before surgery. It has previously been claimed Michael used it to help him overcome insomnia.

The police investigation into the ‘Beat It’ singer’s death continued yesterday (July 14) when Michael’s long-term dermatologist was issued with a subpoena.

Los Angeles County’s chief coroner investigator Craig Harvey said: “We are serving a coroner subpoena at the office of Dr. Klein to obtain medical records. That is all I can comment on.”

Harvey added the move was not unusual, revealing several other subpoenas have been issued in relation to Michael’s death.

Klein’s lawyer Bradley Boyer said: “Dr. Klein has been and continues to cooperate with the coroner’s office into the investigation if the death of Michael Jackson. There will be no further comments in Dr. Klein at this time. Also the coroner has indicated to us that Dr. Klein is not under investigation by the coroner’s office.”

American football star Tony Romo - who split from Jessica Simpson last week - reportedly became increasingly frustrated with Joe Simpson’s involvement in his daughter’s life.

FOX News reports: “Joe’s meddling ways most likely took its toll on the relationship, which is the reason why they split the first time 14 months ago. Joe promised he’d take a step back when the couple reunited but he was still too involved. At one point Joe was even giving Tony football advice which doesn’t go down well.”

Tony, who dumped Jessica the day before her 29th birthday, is believed to have been unhappy in the relationship for some time. A source said: “It was a long time coming, he hasn’t really been into her and the relationship for awhile, but stayed together because he didn’t want to look like a jerk for not having a better reason to break it off. She is trying to save face by saying that it’s because of their busy schedules.”

In March, it was alleged Joe - who is also Jessica’s manager - was jealous of Tony and believed he was having a negative influence on her career. A source said: “Joe now feels that Tony has become too much of a distraction for Jessica. Any free time she has, Jessica wants to spend with Tony. But rather than blaming his daughter’s work ethic, Joe points the finger at Tony.”

The pair began dating in November 2007. Jessica and Tony first met in 2006, when American football fan Joe introduced them.
