It’s been confirmed that Harry Potter starlet, Emma Watson, will be attending Brown University in the fall.

Watson, who plays Hermomine in the Harry Potter movies has long said she would be attending college in the U.S., and it was speculated that she would be attending Brown University. No one knew for sure until her co-star, Daniel Radcliffe unwittingly confirmed it a few weeks ago during an interview, but Watson finally publicly stated her choice in an interview with Paste magazine:

“I am [going to university this fall] - to Brown, which is an Ivy League establishment in the U.S.A. I’ve got a place there to read literature.”

Brown University is an Ivy League school in Providence, RI. According to their about page:

“Approximately 5,900 students are enrolled in the Undergraduate College, 1,500 in the Graduate School and 340 in the Medical School. These students represent all 50 states and many foreign countries. For 2010, more than 18,000 applicants applied for 1,450 places in the freshman class. All undergraduates were admitted under a need-blind admission policy.”

Actor Stephen Baldwin has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection in New York. Court documents show he has over $2.3mil in debt and only $1.1mil in assets.

43 year old Baldwin owes about $1.2 million for two unpaid mortgages on his property in New York and more than $1.1 million in back taxes. He also has heavy credit card debt. His wife, Kennya Baldwin is also named in the documents.

Stephen Baldwin’s last known employment was when he appeared on the hit reality TV show “I’m a celebrity… get me outta here!” but he was forced to leave the show after complications from insect bites that required extensive hospital treatments. Obviously, the stint didn’t produce enough income to keep the wolves away from his door.

Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears – who was made co-conservator of her personal and professional affairs following her public breakdown last year – wants a judge to review the conditions of the agreement when Britney’s ‘Circus’ world tour concludes in November.

Gossip website TMZ reports: “Jamie can’t ask the judge to end it - just to review it. The judge then decides if Britney should regain control of her life.”

Jamie thinks Britney – who currently has shared custody of her two children with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Sean Preston, three, and two-year-old Jayden James – is now strong enough to look after herself.

Meanwhile, Kevin – who starred in 2005 reality TV show ‘Britney and Kevin: Chaotic’, which followed the couple’s relationship – is keen to star in a new programme with his girlfriend Victoria Prince and his sons.

A source said: “Victoria will be a big part of the series. They are not engaged, but she lives with him full-time in his place in Encino.

“Victoria and Britney first met before Britney’s tour at Kevin’s home. They had a meeting face-to-face, when Victoria was home alone with the kids. It was awkward, but Britney was nice.”

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick – who have been married for 12 years and have three children together, son James Wilkie, six, and one-month-old twin daughters Marion and Tabitha – have decided to set-up home in different properties in New York, because Matthew wants to remain in Manhattan, while Sarah and the children move to Brooklyn.

A source said: “It would be a surprising decision to make so soon after the arrival of their twins. Having the babies born healthy and happy was a dream come true, so it’s strange that they might have to spend some time apart at this stage.

“No one can quite believe it, but it’s clear they’re making the right decision for all the right reasons.”

Sarah is determined for her twins – who were born using a surrogate mother - to grow up away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The 44-year-old actress has already purchased a $10 million nine-bedroom house in Brooklyn, where she believes the children will enjoy a quieter life.

The source added to Look magazine: “Sarah clearly loves Manhattan, but she has three children now. It might be better for them to grow up somewhere calmer where they can play in the park and feel safe, rather than in the madness of Manhattan.

“But Matthew loves their townhouse in Manhattan because it’s close to his work on Broadway. He’s currently in negotiations to perform in an off-Broadway theatre production and it wouldn’t make sense for him to commute into town every day for work.”

Former Jackson 5 bassist Jermaine Jackson – who is still devastated by the death of his pop legend sibling, who passed away of a suspected cardiac arrest last month – wants the singer to be laid to rest at his former Neverland ranch and not in a public cemetery.

He told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “I think it’s a great possibility Neverland will be his final resting place. We have to think about security – we can control that there. In a public cemetery we couldn’t.

“The options are Neverland or the main cemetery in Los Angeles. I’m totally against the idea of a public cemetery. I just don’t like it.

“He’s done so much to make the world special – and he needs to be somewhere special. He should be somewhere where it’s safe and where he isn’t sharing the ground with other people who are not good human beings. At those places they bury people who have done bad things in their life.

“Why should he be in the company of these bad people? He should be by himself. His world is Neverland.”

Michael died on June 25 aged 50 and had a public memorial service was held on July 7, but his body is yet to be buried.

However, Jermaine – who wants to turn the 2,500-acre estate into a memorial so fans can come from around the world to pay their respects – says the final decision is down to their mother and father, Katherine and Joe.

Katherine – who has temporary custody of Michael’s three children, Prince Michael I, 12, 11-year-old Paris and seven-year-old Prince Michael II, also known as ‘Blanket’ – isn’t keen on her son’s final resting place being at Neverland but could change her mind if the kids are given ownership of the ranch.

A source said: “Katherine is still opposed to Michael being buried at Neverland, but would relent if it could be arranged for Michael’s children to gain ownership of the property. If they could have complete ownership, Katherine would approve.”

She had been against the idea as authorities had searched Neverland after Michael was accused of child molestation – charges which he was eventually acquitted of in 2005 – prompting the singer to abandon the property.

UFC veteran Kimo Leopoldo is reported to have died from complications from a heart attack at the age of 41.

Leopoldo, often known only as Kimo, made his MMA debut at UFC 3 in 1994 then spent 12 years professionally fighting in the sport until retiring after Extreme Wars 5-Battlegrounds in 2006. In recent years Kimo battled drugs, having tested positive for anabolic steroids at the end of his career, and later being charge for possession of marijuana

Kimo’s fighting style was described as freestyle, with a mixture of striking and grappling techniques. He was also well known for his Christian beliefs and sported many religious tattoos.

The news of Kimo Leopoldo’s death is being reported on several MMA sites and forums, however not by major outlets so other details at this stage are unknown. More when we have it.

Prince Michael II, also known as ‘Blanket’, doesn’t realise his singer dad died last month and was left confused after the ‘Thriller’ star’s memorial service in Los Angeles.

Mark Lester - who is godfather to Michael’s three children, Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old ‘Blanket’ - told Hello! magazine: “It is obvious to me that Blanket is still unsure about what exactly happened to his father. He said, ‘Where’s daddy gone? On holiday?’ It was a rhetorical question and it broke my heart.

“Prince was taciturn, unusual for him, but we still had a hug. Paris gave me a tight hug and we just held each other for a while. We were both welling up. I told her that her dad would always lie in her heart and be remembered by at least half of the world. Paris replied, ‘I’m just glad he is at peace.’ ”

British actor Mark, who rose to fame as a child star in movie musical ‘Oliver!’, also revealed his three godchildren - who are currently being looked after by Michael’s mother Katherine Jackson, who has temporary custody of them - have begged to spend this Christmas with him and his family.

He said: “Paris was disappointed my daughters couldn’t come to the memorial. She asked me, ‘Can we come and stay with you at Christmas and I can bring the presents?’

“I was very touched and still hope it can be arranged. It’s difficult to say until the custody arrangements have been finalised.”

Mark, who is planning to attend the service when Michael’s body is buried, also insisted Prince Michael I and Paris have no relationship with their biological mother, Michael’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe.

The 50-year-old star explained: “The children don’t know her and haven’t seen her for years. The possibility the three children might be split up – ‘Blanket’, of course, is by another mother - is unthinkable and I believe it would be disastrous for them.”

Shooting on ‘The Beautiful Life’ was due to start on July 22, but it has been delayed after it was claimed sets for the show have not been completed in time.

It has been denied Mischa’s hospitalization under an involuntary psychiatric hold order at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last week is to blame for the move.

Mischa’s publicist admits production can’t begin without her, and insists the actress must fully recover before she returns to work.
The representative reportedly said: “Her participation will ultimately be contingent upon her progress and doctor’s orders.”

Mischa was placed under a 5150 hold - meaning she poses a danger to herself or others - last Wednesday (July 15) after friends reportedly became worried she was suicidal. It has been alleged the actress has been using drugs and alcohol to cope with her money problems and stuttering love life.

Filming is now scheduled to begin on July 31. ‘The Beautiful Life’, which is produced by Ashton Kutcher, focuses on a group of models living together in New York. Mischa, 23, will play a supermodel who is desperate to be successful and struggles to cope with the pressures of working in the fashion world.
