Freshly single reality TV star Kate Gosselin is packing her bags and taking the soap opera that is her life to Rockville, Maryland.

RadarOnline reports that Kate is in the process of purchasing a condo in Rockville, a wealthy part of Montgomery County. The town is also home to Steve Neild, Kate’s bodyguard.

Apparently the shared custody arrangement with the eight children sees the kids stay at their original home, and Jon and Kate live there when they have custody, with each returning to their own separate accommodation when they don’t.

According to Wikipedia, Rockville is a major northwestern incorporated city and forms part of the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area. The city has a population is 60,734 and is home to numerous software and biotechnology companies as well as several federal government institutions.

John Travolta was rumored to have grown disenchanted with the bizarre sci-fi religion after the death of his son Jett in January.

But his representative Paul Bloch claims the star’s faith is as strong as ever.

Bloch told People magazine: “There’s no change in the relationship between the Church of Scientology and John. He is a member and it’s as it was, now and forever.”

Jett was 16 years old when he died after suffering a seizure in the family’s Bahamian holiday home. He was autistic, a condition not recognised by the Church of Scientology.

Rick Ross, a US author and lecturer on Scientology, said: “There have been strong rumours coming out of Scientology that John Travolta is disappointed the religion was not able to help his son more.

“I think it would be very difficult for John Travolta at this stage to extricate himself from Scientology. It would be a huge move on his part because Scientology keeps files on its celebrity members containing embarrassing personal information about them.

“And Scientology has proven in the past that it has a penchant for releasing that information to embarrass people who have left and who have said things it doesn’t like. That’s why I think Travolta will want to keep his problems with the Church private.”

John and his wife Kelly – also a strict follower of Scientology – also have a daughter, Ella Bleu, nine.

Lindsay Lohan – who recently turned down a role in the successful comedy ‘The Hangover’ – has been approached to star alongside Danny Trejo and Michelle Rodriguez for a part in Robert Rodriguez’s new movie ‘Machete’.

According to the National Ledger website, the ‘Planet Terror’ director is very keen to work with the US starlet on the project.

Speaking about his latest cinematic offering, he said: “These things come together very quickly. We’re casting right now, and the script just came out.”

A trailer for the movie – which is about an illegal immigrant - was recently released and Robert is thrilled with the positive response. He explained: “I was thinking it had to live up to the trailer, because the trailer was so well received. But the script far surpassed the trailer.”

Lindsay is believed to have financial troubles after struggling to land a major film part for sometime.

Meanwhile, the troubled actress has been caught on video having another blazing row with her on/off girlfriend, DJ Samantha Ronson at the weekend. Lindsay spent two hours sitting on her 31-year-old lover’s doorstep with an unknown woman until Samantha turned up at 5am.

The tearful actress sobbed: “Samantha, where were you? You lost it, what’s wrong with you.”

Lindsay then shouted at her acquaintance: “Stop! Stop!” Samantha said: “Who is this person?” Lindsay – visibly upset and confused - replied: “I’m your girlfriend!”

The DJ continued to ask Lindsay who the female was and asked why she had told her to “stop”.

When Lindsay said the “friend” had tried to touch her, Samantha demanded she left immediately.

Lindsay ignored her requests and continued to ask where her girlfriend had been. Samantha shouted: “I was with my sister.” Lindsay replied: “You’re lying.” Samantha added: “Yeah, I’m lying!”

After the aggressive exchange the pair finally entered the house and slammed the door behind them, while the unknown female caught a taxi home.

Joel Madden – who is expecting his second child with girlfriend Nicole Richie – believes the time is right for him to pen a tome about all the things he has been through.

He said: “It would be about my life. It would be about, mostly, the big changes in my life - kids, relationships, moving to Los Angeles the big life changes that I’ve gone through.”

The 30-year-old musician is determined to put as much effort as possible into the book, as he wants to ensure it is a significant reflection of the highs and lows he has suffered.

He explained: “I’m lightly working on one, but I don’t want to put a book out there if it’s not actually meaningful. I’m not going to go there unless I can deliver.

“If I put a book out, I want it to be something that matters to me. It has to be real, you can’t just put a book out, to put a book out. I want every page to mean something.”

Sean Connery – whose last part was voicing a character in 2006 film ‘Sir Billi the Vet’ – is set to narrate a movie about a war veteran’s battle against military bosses.

The veteran in question, Ken McGinley, won a landmark case when he was given the right to sue the British Ministry of Defence on behalf of thousands of servicemen who were exposed to nuclear testing on Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean.

McGinley said: “Sir Sean was very interested in what we are fighting for. Having his backing really gave me a boost. I can’t think of anyone better to help raise our profile.”

More than 1,000 soldiers claim they and their children have been affected by cancer and deformities as a result of their exposure to radiation in the tests more than 50 years ago.

Connery even wrote a letter highlighting his interest in bringing the story, told by McGinley in his book ‘No Risk Involved: The Ken McGinley Story: Survivor of a Nuclear Experiment’, to the big screen.

He wrote: “It is a shocking history of events. I have already made my opinion regarding the possibility of filming the book written by Mr. McGinley.

“I am more than interested to see the end result and would be prepared to do the narration.”

A volunteer said: “We couldn’t believe it when Russell Crowe came in and gave us the money. We knew he was in the area and we were all hoping to see him, but we never thought we would get quite so close to him.

“We were all a bit star-struck, but it was lovely to meet him and he stopped and took the time to speak to us.”

Russell has been very generous with his money recently.

Last month, the star gave staff at a Welsh pub a £600 tip to thank them for preparing dinner for him and nine friends.

One worker said: “Now if anyone badmouths him I tell them to shut up. He could have paid and just left but they stayed instead and entertained us.

“Then he paid us that tip - it’s the last thing you expect. He seemed quite friendly and chatty like a really nice guy.”
