Events promoter World Awards Media GmbH confirmed a Michael Jackson tribute show is to be staged in Vienna today, saying it will feature members of the late ‘King of Pop’s family, including brother Jermaine, and a “high-profile line-up of international stars”.

The organization said on its website: “For one incredible night Michael Jackson’s unforgettable music will be brought to life again. Some of the world’s leading artists will perform Michael’s greatest hits live in Vienna in front of one of the most fascinating historical sites in Europe and celebrate the life of the ‘King of Pop’.”

Jermaine adds on the site: “I am very proud to be able to stage this concert honoring my younger brother Michael and his legacy. The tribute is conceived to be an annual event to keep not only his unique music alive, but his spirit as well. Michael loved people and he also loved to help people and that will never be forgotten. His life was much too short, yet it was filled with many magic moments and lasting memories. I have lost a dear brother, but the world has lost a great and caring humanitarian.”

Then event is to take place at the Schoenbrunn Palace – which can accommodate 85,000 people - in the Austrian capital next month, and will feature a crown-shaped stage.

Further details are yet to be released, although tickets will go on sale on August 20.

Unconfirmed reports suggest U2, Madonna, Lionel Richie and Whitney Houston could all be performing.

It was originally thought a tribute show might take place on what would have been Michael’s 51st birthday on August 29, but that idea has now been dismissed.

World Awards Media’s Georg Kindel explained: “That would have been an extreme logistical challenge.”

Michael was due to stage 50-night residency in London starting just a few weeks after his death on June 25, and many had presumed a concert in honour of him would take place in the UK capital.

However, Jermaine recently claimed Vienna was of special importance to Michael.

He said: “Vienna was a very dear place for Michael. And he loved castles. And we’re going to have this huge celebration in front of a castle.”

Country and Western duo Brooks and Dunn, the biggest-selling pairing in country music history, are splitting up after 20 years together.

Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn said in a statement that “it’s just time. After 20 years of making music and riding this trail together, we have agreed as a duo that it’s time call it a day.”

“This ride has been everything and more than we could ever have dreamed. We owe it all to you, the fans. If you hear rumors, don’t believe them, it’s just time.”

Brooks and Dunn have had 20 No. 1 singles, have sold more than 30 million albums, and have won two grammys. All isn’t lost for fans yet though: the pair said that they would undertake a farewell tour before breaking up.

Kim Kardashian went blonde over the weekend and debuted her new golden mane at Sunday night’s Teen Choice Awards in LA.

A few months ago, Kim Kardashian posted a photo to her Twitter page saying that she died her hair blonde, and it looked convincing, but she later revealed it was a wig. But last week, she went blonde for real.

Kim Kardashian told the new York Daily News about her new, lighter hair:

“This time it’s for real, guys! I went blonde!!! I am really loving it!”

“I had been considering it ever since I wore that blonde wig, and I just decided to go for it!! My hairstylist, Clyde Haygood, orchestrated the whole thing, and Rebecca from Goodform salon dyed it!”

Sunday night at the Teen Choice awards in LA, Miley Cyrus brought home 6 awards, but the thing that got everyone’s attention was her performance of her new song, Party in the U.S.A.. While performing, Miley’s set was made to depict a trailer park. She popped out of a trailer and started performing wearing short shorts, leather boots and tons of trashy jewellery, then she ends up dancing around a stripper pole on stage.

It looks like the Ashley Greene scandal, where nude pictures of the Twilight actress showed up on the internet, is heating up.

In response to the Ashley Greene nude photos scandal, reps for the actress told MTV:

“The photos in question, which appear to be of our client, are illegal and are being unlawfully displayed. Our client intends to take legal action.”

Greene’s reps didn’t specify exactly the nude photos of her are illegal, or whether she was a minor when they were taken. From our perspective, it looks like another publicity stunt to bolster the actresses visibility in the online press.

Anyway, we’ve seen it happen here at the Inquisitr enough to know exactly what’s happening. Here’s how it works: 1. Ashley Greene nude photos leaked online and posted or shared by bloggers and forums. Instant publicity. 2. Lawyers representing Greene threaten to sue site owners and bloggers, who in turn bitch and complain, giving the actress even more publicity. Of course, this is all done right around the time the celeb is either fading in popularity or to coincide with a launch or event to amplify publicity.

While last night’s episode (episode 8, Time Bomb) was just as freaking OMG edge of your seat as it looked to be in the previews, season two’s episode 9 appears to be just as squee worthy.

Entitled I Will Rise Up, episode 9 will resolve this week’s cliffhangers… we hope, not that Alan Ball likes letting us off easy at the end of the show. Fan chatter indicates that ancient teenager Godric is a fangbanger favorite, and while Alan Ball insists Sookie and Bill’s relationship is “core” for the show, it looks like Eric’s interference might be taking a bit of a foothold.

(Now, before you go all shipper on me, remember, fangirls and boys, that Bill is not Prince Valiant the Vampire like he seemed for at least the first season. As the show let us see, he he had very few qualms about frolicking and flopping around a convulsing and hemorrhaging dying flapper for Lorena’s amusement.)

Blaming Eggs for Tara’s bruises and bizarre behavior, Lafayette and Lettie Mae try to figure out a way to pry their kin from Maryann’s grasp. Hoyt defends his relationship with Jessica. In Dallas, Eric and the vampires defend their recent actions to Nan Flanagan, and are stunned when Godric decides to take responsibility for their PR disaster.

Courteney Cox – who husband David Arquette is eight years her junior – enjoys being married to a younger man and thinks the age gap enhances their relationship.

Courtney – who is starring in new comedy ‘Cougar Town’ - said: “David is much younger than me. I think it’s great to be a cougar, if that’s what they’re called. I just don’t know what the term is for a man who dates a younger woman.”

A cougar is a slang word for a sexually predatory older woman who is attracted to younger men.

Although Courteney enjoys her cougar status, the former ‘Friends’ beauty admits she found it difficult turning 40.

Courteney, who has a five-year-old daughter, Coco, with David, said: “When I turned 40 I was laying in bed with Coco. I just had her two days before. Being 40 is hard for women. I didn’t experience that until later.”

The actress is dreading Coco starting school but knows it will be good for her.

She added to US TV show ‘Access Hollywood’: “Coco’s about to start kindergarten. She’s going to go to school from 8-4 or 8-3 and then she’ll come to the set. It works out well.

“I’m kind of nervous about it. But it’ll be good. She loves to be around kids her own age.”

Ashton Kutcher - who stars as a serial seducer of rich women in his latest movie ‘Spread’ – is happy for any of his colleagues to see his appendage, but did starve himself so his stomach would be flat for the film.

He said: “Once you do the first nude scene and the whole crew has seen your schwantz then you’re fine.

“I didn’t have to worry about diet. Pretty much I generally take on whatever is the abusive diet of my character. This guy pretty much didn’t eat much, so he had this body.”

Ashton deliberately set out to find a part where he could play a rogue akin to Warren Beatty in ‘Shampoo’ or Richard Gere in ‘American Gigolo’ and sought out the former to ask his advice.

Ashton added: “I definitely look up to Warren Beatty as an actor. So I sat down with Warren two years ago and told him I appreciated his work in ‘Shampoo’ and ‘Bonnie and Clyde’.

“We sat down for breakfast, and I told him I was actively looking for a movie like ‘Shampoo’.

“I told him I wanted to play a morally compromised charm artist. We talked about what he did in ‘Shampoo’ and where that character came from for him on an energetic level.”

‘Spread’, which also stars Anne Heche, is released in the US and some European countries this month.

Kiefer Sutherland reportedly earns $550,000 an episode for the anti-terrorist thriller, in which he plays lead character, action man Jack Bauer – meaning he makes around $13 million a series.

Second on the list is ‘House’ star Hugh Laurie, who commands $400,000 for each episode of the US medical drama.

Behind them, ‘Desperate Housewives’ stars Eva Longoria Parker, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman and Teri Hatcher each earn £399,000 for each episode of their show.

However, according to America’s TV Guide magazine, the overall highest earner in television is Charlie Sheen - the star and co-producer of hit show ‘Two and a Half Men’ – who makes $864,500 a show.

Meanwhile, despite its success over eight series, a senior boss at FOX - the US network which commissions ‘24’ - has dropped hints it could soon end, due in part to the cost of producing the program;

Kevin Reilly, president of entertainment at FOX Broadcasting said recently: “We haven’t made any decision whether it’s back or not.

“It’s going to come down to a business decision. It’s not an inexpensive show on the network books, and we also want to finish strong. This is not a show we want to prop up. It will be something we’ll have to deal with over the next few months.
