Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine has ordered his embalmed remains be taken somewhere she can “visit him privately”.

Before it was relocated, the body had been temporarily interred in the family crypt of Motown records founder Berry Gordy Jr. at Hollywood’s Forest Lawn cemetery.

Last week, cemetery staff moved the corpse to a “cold room” in the basement of the nearby Freedom Mausoleum.

Once the body was secure, the gold casket was encased in Perspex to protect it from frost.

Katherine has visited Michael’s body several times since it was moved, staying with her son until she is shaking with cold.

A source said: “She cries and says that she’s sorry and that she loves him.”

It is unclear when Michael’s body will be permanently laid to rest.

Katherine is said to be refusing to bury her son – who died on June 25 - because she is scared crazed fans will desecrate or steal his body.

A family friend said: “She just can’t bear to let Michael go. By keeping him in the freezer room Katherine feels like she can still talk to him and keep him close. The thought of burying him still fills her with dread.”

Meanwhile, prosecutors are reportedly “having a difficult time” building a manslaughter case against Michael’s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray.

The star’s autopsy report allegedly reveals the singer was taking a number of “potent drugs” at the time of his death.

This means that even if Murray admitted to administering the powerful anaesthetic Propofol – which was initially believed to have killed Michael – he may not be found responsible for the star’s death if he could prove other doctors had prescribed other powerful drugs.

One Los Angeles deputy district attorney said: “You have to show that the doctor knew about all of these other doctors prescribing these other drugs. It’s a classic problem.”

Murray has yet to be charged with any crime, though his offices have been searched by police.

Model-and-actress Milla Jovovich accepts even she finds her moniker tricky to enunciate, particularly after she has consumed too much alcohol.

She said: “There are many times where even I, at certain points in the evening, after a few drinks, can’t pronounce my own surname, so it’s understandable.”

It’s official - Iron Chef America Chairman, Mark Dacascos, and former member of the United States House of Representatives, Tom DeLay, will be competing in the upcoming fall season of Dancing With The Stars.

Mark Dacascos, as well as being the notorious chairman of the Food Network’s hit show, Iron Chef America, is also a martial arts instructor. Dacascos has also appeared in a number of other acting roles, including Crying Freeman, costarring with his wife, actress Julie Condra.

Politician Tom DeLay, also appearing on Dancing with the stars, was a republican House Majority Leader from 2003 to 2005, but he was forced to step down in the wake of several high profile legal issues.

The 9th season of Dancing with the stars begins September 21 with a three night premier.

Taylor Lautner was horrified when a middle-aged female fan tried to take off her panties in front of him. The “Twilight: New Moon” star - who was named Best Male Fresh Face at the recent Teen Choice Awards - tried desperately to avert his eyes when the woman began stripping off so he could autograph her underwear.

Taylor, 17, told Fox News: “I had this 40-year-old woman trying to find a way to take her panties off for me to sign them. They had my name imprinted on them. So that was kind of strange. But you can’t expect anything from these ‘Twilight’ fans.”

Amy Winehouse is posing as her cat to send secret messages to Blake Fielder-Civil. The “Rehab” singer has created a profile for her pet feline Shirley on social networking site Facebook and is using it to talk to her estranged husband, who she is in the process of divorcing.

In a series of bizarre messages, Amy refers to Blake - who is in rehab in Yorkshire, north England - as “Sailor,” known to be one of her nicknames for him.

One of the rambling posts reads: “Oi mummy was saying to her friend about the time she made you breakfast and you drank all the nesquik til you was sick xxxxxxx (sic).”

Another says: “Sailor sort it you’re her co-hort. consort still. as you both know you’re unswerving. just as much as you’re deserving.”

On Thursday night, the cat’s status read “Shirley loves Sailor.”

Amy and Blake were granted a decree nisi - a preliminary stage of divorce which will become absolute next month - in the Family Division of London’s High Court on July 16 following the breakdown of their troubled two-year marriage.

At the time, Amy’s spokesman said: “She is ready to move on following the end of the marriage. Amy has not had any contact with Blake for months and is focusing on the future. She is finishing her album and in good health.”
