Rumors have been circulating since May of this year that Penelope Cruz is pregnant, but so far, the only site even remotely confirming the rumor is Just Jared.

However, at the recent premiere of the movie, Broken Embraces in Berlin, Cruz was photographed signing autographs outside the venue and she’s definitely a bit thick through the middle. Even though the dress she’s wearing is anything but flattering, you caan plainly see that she’s put on a little weight.

Fake celebrity deaths are usually the domain of slow news weekends, but for a change we have one mid-week, a rumor claiming that Eddie Murphy is dead.

The rumor claims that Eddie Murphy “was killed in an accident on the set of the film adaptation of the video game Left 4 Dead, currently filming in Los Angeles, CA.” The cause of death is attributed to to have been a special effects mishap.

The rumors date back over 12 months, and has come in a number of variations, although they normally include an accident on a film set of some sort.

While you could argue that Eddie Murphy’s career might be all but dead, the man himself is still 100% alive and kicking. We can never be 100% sure, but we’re definite on the call: chalk this up as another fake celebrity death.

David Copperfield has been accused by a 22-year-old fashion model of attacking her when she was a guest on his private island in the Bahamas in 2007, according to a federal lawsuit.

The unnamed woman – who alleges she met David during one of his shows in January 2007 before being invited to his holiday home in July of that year - claims David “attacked her and sexually assaulted her” and threatened to kill her if she didn’t go along with what he wanted.

She alleges she was assaulted by David on two more occasions while on the island before reporting the incidents to Seattle police when she arrived home.

However, Copperfield’s lawyers have accused her of fabricating the allegations.

A statement said: “This woman, who filed the lawsuit, has a history of lying… She has lied to law enforcement before and, as a result, had innocent people arrested based on a false accusation… she is incapable of telling the truth.

“This lawsuit is extortion for money, plain and simple. Unfortunately, false claims like this only hurt the women who really have been abused, women who really need our help.”

‘Funny People’ star Jason Schwartzman exchanged vows with the eco-friendly fashion designer in a low-key ceremony at their San Fernando Valley home last month.

The 29-year-old actor’s representative said: “It was a very small ceremony with many family members and close friends.”

Jason – who is the nephew of legendary director Francis Ford Coppola – had been dating Brady for three years before he proposed earlier this year.

Schwartzman is known for his roles in ‘The Darjeeling Limited’, ‘Rushmore’, ‘Shopgirl’ and ‘I Heart Huckabees’.

Before he started acting, Schwartzman was a drummer and songwriter for the band Phantom Planet, and still composes music for films, including the musical score for ‘Funny People’.

He also contributed to Ben Lee’s 2005 album ‘Awake Is the New Asleep’.

Nate Quick’s death comes as a shock for the residents of Dallas, TX, and the surrounding area.

Nate Quick, often called one of the greatest radio hosts of his time, passed away Wednesday night at around 10pm local time from complications of liver disease. He was hospitalized Monday and friends and family were at his side at the time of his passing.

Quick was the program director for KRNB radio and also acted as the marketing director for K104-FM in Dallas. He formerly worked as a radio host and on-air personality for WPEG Power 98 radio based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Music mogul Simon Cowell gives $165,000 a year to an animal shelter run by ‘Exorcist’ actress Linda Blair – who played possessed child Regan in the 1973 cult horror movie - in Toluca Lake, California, because he views it as the next best thing to having his own pet.

A source said “Simon is a huge dog lover but because he’s always travelling he can’t have one. He thought it would be a great idea to help Linda out.

“He doesn’t like to talk about it as he sees it as a private arrangement.”

The shelter – which cares for “neglected and abandoned” pooches – is much in need of Simon’s cash-injection.

A statement on the shelter’s website reads: “Due to the difficult times upon us, we are searching for every means possible to continue supporting animals who desperately need our help.”

Simon – who has previously judged an RSPCA dog show – has a history of helping animals and has even claimed he plans to leave the bulk of his multi-million pound fortune to pet shelters.

He previously said: “I’ve never made a will and don’t want to think about death. I’d leave some to a dogs’ charity.”

Officers investigating Michael Jackson’s death are planning to arrest Dr. Conrad Murray over claims he gave Michael prescription drugs, including an injection of powerful anaesthetic Propofol which is alleged to have killed him on June 25.

Investigators had hoped to take the physician into custody as early as next week, but they are now planning to issue one more search warrant – believed to be on a Los Angeles pharmacy – to gather more evidence before moving forward, according to Fox News.

Murray – who has allegedly told officers he administered the injection – was to be charged with second degree murder, but officers fear they don’t have enough evidence to make the charge stand.

Dr. Arnold Klein, Michael’s skin doctor, is also set to face charges linked to medical malpractice over the singer’s drug addiction but he is not expected to be arrested for several weeks while police gather evidence against him.

Despite the reports, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, denied prosecutors had decided to charge Jackson’s physicians.

She said: “Until police complete their investigation and bring it to our office, there is no way to know what charges may be filed and against whom.”

Earlier this week, Dr. Murray released a brief video online speaking about his client for the first time.

In the clip he said: “I have done all I could do, I told the truth, and I have faith the truth will prevail.

“Because of all that is going on, I’m afraid to return phone calls or use my email. Therefore, I recorded this video to let all of you know that I have been receiving the messages.”

Meanwhile, a doctor being questioned in connection to Michael’s death has claimed she received death threats warning her not to talk to police.

Dr. Susan Etok – who says she was asked to supply the ‘Billie Jean’ star with a number of drugs but refused – insists she wasn’t worried about the messages.

She said: “I’m not really taking them seriously.”

Explaining why she had been summoned to Los Angeles police station, she added to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “They just want to basically get a background picture as to what kind of happened to Michael and everybody else that was involved.”

Rumors are flying this morning that TLC might be giving Jon Gosselin the heave-ho due to his douchey behavior.

Gosselin, who you may know as the reality-TV dad from Jon & Kate Plus Eight, seems to be persona non grata in many places. Designer Christian Audigier of Ed Hardy, with whom Jon was visiting when his first extramarital affair became public, sounded less keen than before when he spoke to People about his alleged business relationship with Gosselin.

“I met the guy for two days to see what he wanted to do as a job. In the beginning it was Jon and Kate, and then the guy came with another girl. He told me, ‘I’m going to come with my stylist. I need two tickets for the plane.’ So I said, ‘no problem.’ “

But sometime between then and now, TLC decided to blur all the logoed clothing Jon was wearing. Audigier now says he’s “different than he was.”

“He is not the same as he was,” says Audigier. “He has a more complicated life now. He has all of those kids and a girlfriend and ex-wife.”

And secondary mistress Kate Major unsurprisingly dished the whole story of their troubled tryst:

“Jon said he couldn’t be seen having a girlfriend, so he told me to drive to a neighbor’s house after midnight, when the kids were asleep,” Major told the mag. “He said he’d pick me up on his four-wheeler, take me to his house and drop me off again at 6 a.m.

“I was shocked and said, ‘No, I don’t feel right doing that. What if the kids wake up?’ He was like, ‘They’re not going to notice, they’re not going to see anything.’ He wasn’t nervous about it — I was.”

Slick. And who would think a man who just split up with his wife and was immediately photographed swanning around the south of France with his wife’s plastic surgeon’s daughter would behave like that? And he wasn’t even sincere in his affections:

On July 20, we went to a hotel in New Jersey,” Major said. “I paid for the room, and he snuck up a back way. That was the first time we slept together. He said he was falling in love with me. He said, ‘I thought Hailey was perfect until I met you.’”

Major added, “Even when we were in the Hamptons, we were planning to go to L.A. together to meet with Christian Audigier about Ed Hardy stuff. We also talked about going to Las Vegas. Now he’s taking Hailey — and that was a trip we had planned together.”

Major said the Gosselin left promising to break up with Hailey Glassman, but instead turned off his phone, and last contacted her with a text simply stating “do not contact me again.”

No official word has come from TLC regarding Jon’s fate as a reality TV trainwreck, but it’s hard to see how they can keep him on after all the bad press he’s gotten lately.

Celine Dion – who is expecting her second child with husband Rene Angelil – conceived the baby through in vitro fertilisation (IVF), using a fertilised egg she had harvested when she was trying to conceive her first son Rene-Charles in 2001.

Celine decided to start trying for another baby in 2007 after she completed her residency in Las Vegas and consulted her physician Dr. Zev Rosenwaks.

He said: “She came back to have the embryos transferred back because she wanted to have another baby.”

Although Celine, 41, is still in the early stages of her pregnancy, Rosenwaks says she is doing very well.

He revealed: “She is feeling well. So far, so good. I look forward to hearing the foetal heartbeat. Rene and Celine are both looking forward to a pregnancy that is a healthy one. There is no question she is ecstatic.”

Celine revealed she was going to start trying for another baby when her ‘Taking Chances’ world tour ended earlier this year.

The star told US talk show host Oprah Winfrey: “We are going to give it a try after my tour. Hopefully we can get pregnant again.

“I have a small window of hope. But we have been so blessed already. We tried six years for Rene-Charles. We have our miracle baby.”
