Off the record seems to have become on the record if it involves celebrity commentary in Washington, with video being published showing US President Barack Obama calling Kanye West a jackass.
The comment from Obama was first reported yesterday after an ABC News reporter tweeted the news despite the comment being made off the record as the President prepared for interviews in the White House. The video was shown on CNN today.
In the video, Obama is asked about the Kanye West Taylor Swift incident and responds ” You know, it was like, she’s getting an award and what are you butting in? … The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person, she’s getting her award and what’s he doing up there? He’s a jackass.”

Chris Brown began his first day of community service in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia earlier today.
According to a statement from local authorities: “Brown begins his 8-hour work day at 8:00 AM when a Department of Corrections bus picks him up, along with 30-40 other offenders. Brown will wear a reflective orange vest and pick up trash and litter along highways and roads. He’ll also have to trim brush along medians, remove gang graffiti from the VCU campus, and wash the inside and outside of law enforcement vehicles.”
Brown didn’t beat any women in the vicinity, but he was watched by fans and the paparazzi being abusive to plants, pulling out weeds and picking up trash all while a crowd stood by and watched.

Actor Henry Gibson, best known in recent times for his role as Judge Clark Brown on Boston Legal, has died after a short battle with cancer at the age of 73.
Gibson started acting on the stage at the age of seven, before spending time as in the U.S. Air Force as an intelligence officer. Returning to his performing roots, Gibson’s first break came in the 1963 Jerry Lewis film The Nutty Professor. Gibson was a favorite of Robert Altman, who cast him in four movies: The Long Goodbye, Nashville, A Perfect Couple and Health. His role in Nashville saw him nominated for a Golden Globe Award.
It was his roles on television that made him a true household name, with Gibson spending three years as a member of the Laugh-In television show’s cast.
He appeared in a number of films in the 1980’s, including playing the leader of the “Illinois Nazis” The Blues Brothers in 1980, and the role of the villain in the 1989 Tom Hanks comedy The ‘Burbs. Later roles included a leading role in a Season 5 episode of Stargate SG-1 entitled “The Sentinel” and alongside Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn in the 2005 comedy Wedding Crashers.
He is survived by his three sons and two grandchildren.
Jon Gosselin’s nanny Stephanie Santoro, 23, has spilled to the press about their not so steamy affair, and she didn’t pull any punches.
Santoro admits to tapping that exactly nine times, and claims sex with the dad of eight was pretty underwhelming. Gosselin has been lambasted by press for his frat-boy habits, partying with twenty-somethings and hitting the clubs clad head to toe in college kid favorite designer Ed Hardy. But it seems his skills with the ladies haven’t progressed far beyond that era either. Santoro described the awkward seduction to InTouch, allowing us all to share in the cringing:
Jon asked if she could give him a massage, and then he was like, ‘my turn.’ While we were sitting there, he said, ‘Well, I guess we can kiss just once.’”
Santoro says that night, Gosselin told her: “Whatever you do, don’t fall in love with me, because it’s going to be impossible for me not to fall in love with you.” The two then made their way to Jon’s hot tub, where Santoro says she “kept looking at the windows” because she was afraid “one of the kids was going to pop their heads out, but he told me to relax.”
Santoro reports the lukewarm sexcapades then continued in Jon’s “over the garage” apartment, adding that Jon made sure to text her a few times to ensure she didn’t “feel used.”

However, the 35-year-old catwalk beauty is unsure about what to sing.

Guests expected to attend include music legend Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish, Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey, actress Denise Richards, Australian pop star Kylie Minogue, the judges from his talent shows and most of his recording artists.

Robbie Williams singer is keen to buy a farm in the outback after girlfriend Ayda Field had a premonition about living Down Under.
Robbie – who has only just moved back to the UK after living in Los Angeles for over seven years – said: “Ayda told me she had kind of a psychic feeling she’d end up in Australia.
“I’m thinking of coming down there. I have been looking for places out in the outback, maybe a farm.”
Robbie also revealed he is ready to settle down with actress Ayda and start a family.
The 35-year-old star said: “That’s definitely on the agenda. Little monkeys running around.
“It’s about time. I’ve had a good innings. Life feels an awful lot different.”
Robbie is so smitten with Ayda he has even written a song about her on his eagerly-anticipated new album ‘Reality Killed the Video Star’.
He added in an interview with Australian radio station 2DayFM: “There is one song written about Ayda called ‘Won’t Do That To You’.
“The lyrics are, ‘In this bag of stuff I brought to you. You didn’t mind sorting it through. You would never be the trouble and strife if I made you my Swiss army wife.’ ”
Patrick Swayze – who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on Monday (14.09.09) aged 57 – will have his ashes scattered on his New Mexico Ranch.
Website RadarOnline reports: “Swayze loved the ranch and visited whenever he could. Swayze turned his Rancho de Dias Alegres (Ranch of Happy Days) into a wildlife preserve and timber farm, he loved the rugged mountains and canyons of his ranch and the cowboy life he led there.”
Patrick was well known in the area, and often told friends it was his favourite place to be.
He could often be found flying his private jet across the ranch, and was well-loved by locals.
A host of stars have paid their respects to Patrick following his death, with his ‘Point Break’ co-star Keanu Reeves the latest to speak about his memories of the actor.
Keanu said: “There was some skydiving sequences in this film we did together and as filming was going on it came to be that Patrick was jumping out of airplanes all the time.
“I think he had over 30 jumps during the course of filming and so the production served him with a cease and desist which he listened to until they got to Hawaii.
“Over the course of the movie he jumps out of planes and did the flips and falling to the ground and he did it with an open heart. He was a beautiful person, an artist. He just wanted to experience life and for his work he wanted to take the opportunity of the film and it gave him that sense.”

Lady Gaga was promoting her new range of headphones in Berlin, Germany, when a reporter decided to quiz her on rumours she has both male and female sex organs.
As the musician showed off the line of headphones, Collien Fernandes – who is a presenter for German TV channel ‘Viva’ – stood up and said: “I love your Marc Jacobs outfit, you look great. I do have one question for you though – have you got a penis or not?”
A furious Lady Gaga hit back: “My wonderful vagina is very insulted by this question.”
She then demanded Collien be removed from the press conference, and bodyguards were quick to haul the TV presenter out.
Collien later said: “I don’t really understand the fuss. It’s obvious someone would ask her this question after the picture was all over the news.”
Lady Gaga has been plagued by rumours she is a hermaphrodite after a video of her performing appeared to show an unsightly bulge in her costume.
The latest incident comes just days after the 23-year-old star was forced to deny the rumours on an Australian radio show.
Insisting the speculation was beyond a joke, Lady Gaga – whose real name is Stefani Germanotta – said: “It’s too low brow for me to even discuss. I’ve made fun of it before but to talk about it is ridiculous.”
Russell Brand made reference to the rumours while hosting the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), saying: “If I pulled her pants down and found a little something extra there. I would hang my hat on it.”
