Lucy Vodden, Lucy in the Beatles song “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” has died after a long battle with Lupus at the age of 46.

Her death was announced by St. Thomas’ Hospital in London, where she had been treated for the disease for more than five years. Her condition came to light in June this year when Julian Lennon reached out to help her.

Despite claims even today that Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was a song written about LSD, John Lennon always insisted that it was inspired by a drawing son Julian did as a child.

The story goes that Julian drew a picture of Lucy while in nursery school in 1966, took it home and explained it as “Lucy in the sky with diamonds.”

Chris Brown will make his musical comeback next month.

The singer, who hasn’t played a concert since assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna in February, will headline Power 105.1’s Powerhouse ’09 concert alongside Keri Hilson, The-Dream, Trey Songz, Mario, Day26 and Ginuwine on October 27.

But music industry insiders claim the concert is a step down for Chris compared to the shows he was playing before the assault.

One promoter who is not involved in the New Jersey concert is quoted by website MSNBC as saying, “This is a pretty C-list line-up. Keri Hilson is good, Ginuwine has some following, but this is nothing like the line-up that would have surrounded him this time last year. Chris was the Michael Jackson heir apparent, he had huge endorsement deals. This isn’t the sort of show you would have expected from him before he got in trouble.”

According to industry experts, the ‘Run It’ star is still not considered a “safe” booking but knows he needs to start rebuilding his career.

A producer said, “Chris isn’t advertiser-safe yet his image has a long way to go. But for this show, he’ll draw a crowd, so the producers of the show are willing to pay. Just because he pleaded guilty doesn’t mean that all his fans have gone away. He’s got to start getting back onto the scene at some point.”

Chris punched, kicked and choked Rihanna in his rented car in February after attending a pre-Grammy Awards party.

He received his sentence – five years probation and six months community labour in August, and was left distraught when the judge banned him from contacting or seeing Rihanna for five years.

During a TV interview, he has admitted being ashamed of what happened and confessed he would struggle to cope if Rihanna found love with a new man.

The Girls Aloud beauty has joked she will splash out on the beauty product when the music mogul, who is famed for his dazzling teeth, turns 50 next month.

The queen was criticized for failing to return to London immediately after Diana’s death and for seemingly adopting a “business as usual” manner by taking the princess’ sons William and Harry to church hours after they learned of their mother’s death.

Oswald – who worked for the queen mother for 21 years – said: “The queen was criticized for two things. One was taking the boys to church. But they wanted to go to church. If you are a Christian and your mother has been killed, it is a comfort going to church.”

“The other thing was that people expected the queen to abandon her two grandsons – whose mother had just been killed – and go to London to mourn with people who had never even met the princess.”

“If you stand back and think about it, it is an extraordinarily selfish attitude. The queen mother was hugely upset by the criticism of her daughter because she has always admired her so much. It was such a cruel criticism and it was unfair.”

She was so sad, so tense and so obviously unhappy in herself.”

“There was a very close bond between her and the Prince of Wales. She was of a generation that felt that anything that went on in a marriage was private between the couple. So it is certainly fair to say that she would have been deeply shocked when private feelings and thoughts were broadcast worldwide.”

Playboy Playmate Jayde Nicole has officially filed a lawsuit against “Girls Gone Wild” mastermind Joe Francis over an alleged assault and battery incident last month.

Nicole alleges that Francis pulled her hair, punched her in the face, threw her to the ground, and kicked her after she threw a drink on him at a Los Angeles bar.

Her suit, obtained by TMZ, reads: “In an intoxicated and uncontrollable rage, defendant Francis, who weighs over 200 lbs, physically attacked plaintiff Nicole, approximately 115 lbs, by pulling on her hair from behind to gain maximum control over her person and then violently shoving and/or throwing her to the ground of the nightclub like a rag-doll.”

She is asking for $1 million plus punitive damages.

Francis maintains that he did not punch or kick Nicole, but just pulled her hair in reaction to her attack.

Meanwhile, Francis’ other legal problem has been resolved. He avoided jail time after pleading guilty to two counts of filing false tax returns and one count of bribing jail workers last week. He was ordered to pay $294,705 in restitution. He also received credit for the 301 days he spent imprisoned.

The ‘My Name Is Earl’ actress wed entertainment lawyer Simran Singh in Malibu on Saturday evening, September 26.

Jaime wore a floor-length white Jenny Packham dress with a plunging V-neck and carried a bouquet of pink and white flowers.

The couple exchanged vows in front of friends and family at the Dick Clark estate, which boasts stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.

Jaime’s two-year-old son, Dezi, from a previous relationship with DJ Eric Cubiche – acted as ring bearer for the intimate ceremony.

The blonde beauty’s friend Danielle Manschulo, who first introduced the pair, was Jaime’s matron of honor.

Tickets for the Michael Jackson film “This Is It” have sold out in just two hours. Fans have lined up for three days to get advance tickets to the King of Pop tribute film in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Fans who want to see their idol as he prepared and rehearsed for his now-abandoned “This Is It” 50-show residency in London have patiently waited in line for three days to make sure they get one of the 3,000 tickets to the film, says the BBC.

The movie is a documentary of the late singer as he prepped up for his shows. It features his dance rehearsals before his death in June. “High School Musical” director Kenny Ortega, the musical director of the tour, compiled the film from over 100 hours of behind-the-scenes footage of Jackson’s rehearsals.

The “This Is It” film is due to have 25 premieres across the globe at the end of October and will last for a limited two-week run. The L.A. premiere will be held at 6 p.m. on October 27.

Days after the ‘Fear’ singer, Lily Allen, announced she was quitting the music industry, the 24-year-old star has revealed plans to tour with ‘Bonkers’ rapper Dizzee Rascal next March.

Tickets for the shows at Manchester’s MEN Arena on March 5, and at The 02 arena in London on March 7, go on sale Friday October 9, with further dates expected to be announced in the coming days.

In an entry on her new blog called It’s Not Alright, which aims to stop people file sharing music on the internet, Lily said last week that she had no plans to tour or record again.

She wrote, “Just so you know, I have not renegotiated my record contract and have no plans to make another record. I do, however, remain a fan of new music, so this is not some selfish crusade.

“The days of me making money from recording music has been and gone as far as I’m concerned, so I don’t stand to profit from legislation. Except future purchases of previously recorded material.”

Lily deleted the blog shortly afterwards and claimed she is now focusing on her appearance in a London theatre production called ‘Reasons to be Pretty’, which follows a group of working-class people who are bored with their lives.

The singer’s spokesperson played down her claims, saying, “She is not quitting pop music and is still promoting her current album, which is why she said she is not thinking ahead to another record.”

However, it is not the first time Lily has voiced her desire to give up her music career.

Earlier this month, she said, “I’m not going record and tour again for quite a while.”

Pamela Anderson is being sued by five building firms over unpaid bills.

The former ‘Baywatch’ star allegedly owes various contractors over $1,009,400 for work carried out on her new home in Malibu, California.

But the 42-year-old actress has just $3,370 in available funds, and has been unable to pay the builders for over six months, forcing five companies to file legal claims.

In an email to one contractor, Pamela’s business manager Lester Knispel admitted, “I told you that she could not afford anymore work.”

One builder, who claims he is owed $29,260 said, “No one has been paid for six months. She doesn’t have any sense of reality. There are poor workers who have families to feed and she isn’t doing anything to pay them.”

Pamela bought the house for $1,243,600. Even though she has spent over $1.4 million renovating the mansion, it does not have a working sewage system or electrics.

Instead, the blonde beauty spent thousands on gold pool tiles, $48,300 sofas and a $161,000 sound system.

It is estimated she will need for spend another $878,000 to make the house habitable.

Until then, Pamela and her sons Brandon, 13, and Dylan, 11, will continue living in a trailer nearby.

NBC executives won’t be firing Jenny Slate after her accidental opening-night f-word.

Unlike early SNL star Charles Rocket, who was famously fired after the same error during a “Who Shot J.R.?” Dallas skit, Slate will be able to keep her job. And as the slip occurred late in the show (around 12:40 EST), the FCC is unlikely to fine the production for indecency. RadarOnline posted about the reaction at NBC over the slip-up, and the rumors that Slate’s first show was also her last:

“No truth to firing conjecture,” NBC spokeswoman Sharon Pannozzo said. “She will not be fired.”

However, show executives were said to have had a “big meeting” after the incident and were generally not happy about it, and Slate did not attend the show’s opening night after party. The SNL rookie’s mis-step was the second time in two week New Yorkers were exposed to an accidental “f*ck.” Local anchor Ernie Anastos was caught out telling a co-anchor to “keep f*cking that chicken” live on a weeknight news broadcast. Anastos has since apologized.
