Rapper Jimmy O, 35, visiting Haiti with Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti foundation, was found dead in a crushed car in downtown Port-au-Prince today.

Wyclef mentioned on a CNN interview before departing to Haiti that Jimmy O, born Jean Alexandre, was missing and rumored dead:

“I urge everyone who’s listening right now that knows how great this kid is in Haiti — I need y’all to verify this information. It would be a terrible loss for us.”

CNN happened to be on the scene when Alexandre’s body was discovered in a vehicle on Friday, his identity confirmed by a passport he was carrying. Also present were Alexandre’s agent, as well as the rapper’s wife and two of his three children. All were visibly distraught at the discovery of Alexandre’s body. His agent commented that Alexandre’s death would be “be tremendous in Haiti.”

Alexandre worked in Haiti with the Yele Haiti foundation, and discovered and developed talent in the impoverished nation. Since the quake, largely because of social media efforts, Yele Haiti has raised $2m for rescue and relief efforts.

Lady Gaga “cried for hours” after being warned she would risk her life if she performed a concert.

The ‘Poker Face’ singer, who is currently on the US leg of her international Monster Ball tour, canceled a show in Indiana yesterday, January 14, at the last minute after needing medical treatment for exhaustion and dehydration.

The 23-year-old star wrote on twitter, “I’ve been crying for hours, I feel like I let my fans down 2nite. An hour before the show, I was feeling dizzy and having trouble breathing.(sic)

“Paramedics came to take care of me, and told me my heart-rate was irregular – a result of exhaustion and dehydration.

“can’t apologize enough for how sorry I am. I could hear my fans cheering from my dressing room, I begged everyone to let me go on stage. My stage has complicated mechanical elements, everyone was concerned I’d be in danger during the 2hr show, since I had passed out earlier. (sic)

“I am so devastated. I have performed with the flu, a cold, strep throat: I would never cancel a show just based on discomfort.”

She then went on to confirm that the show would be re-scheduled for January 26 and appealed for her fans’ understanding.

She added, “I hope you can forgive me. I love my little monsters more than anything.”

Commenting on the events, gossip blogger Perez Hilton, who is a friend of the star’s said on twitter, “People don’t realize how hard you work and how it’s pretty much non-stop and has been for two years!”

George Clooney will host a telethon to raise funds for victims of the Haiti earthquake.

The ‘Up in the Air’ actor will join other A-list stars including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Wyclef Jean and cyclist Lance Armstrong in making a mass appeal for aid for the stricken country, where thousands are feared dead as a result of the massive 7.0 magnitude earthquake which struck on Tuesday, January 12.

The telethon will be held on MTV next Friday, January 22, and be shown across the music channel’s various stations.

A spokesperson for the fundraiser said, “I can confirm that George Clooney is working with MTV Networks to plan a Haiti relief telethon for next Friday, but those are the only details we can share at the moment. It’s all still coming together.”

Brad and Angelina have already personally donated $1 million to help the earthquake victims on the Caribbean island.

They said in a statement, “We will work closely with our good friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter.”

Seven times Tour De France cycling champion Lance has also donated $250,000, while Wyclef, who was born in Haitian city Croix-des-Bouquets, is sending donations from his charity www.yele.org, which he set up in 2005 to raise funds for the Caribbean country in the aftermath of hurricane Jeanne.

Other stars, including Paris Hilton, Ben Stiller and Lindsay Lohan have urged for support through their twitter pages.

It is not known if there are any plans for the George Clooney-fronted telethon to be broadcast outside of the US.

When you shake your ass, now, watch yourself- rapper Mystikal is out of jail after serving six years.

New Orleans based Mystikal, born Michael Lawrence Tyler, was jailed in 2004 after being convicted on charges of sexual battery. The rapper was accused of forcing his hairstylist into sexual acts after he believed she stole $80,000 from him. Two of his bodyguards filmed the incident, later forcing Mystikal to confess to the acts depicted on the tape.

After his release yesterday, Mystikal spoke to a New Orleans radio station:

“It was tough. I took it in stride,” he said of his situation. “I’m back. It almost feels like a dream. For a while, it felt like, I was gone so long,” he said.

Mystikal also let listeners know that he’d been writing in jail. He spoke directly to his fans, “I’m back and I love y’all and I missed y’all, and I want to send out appreciation for all the fans.”

The 39-year-old rapper also indicated plans to return to the rap game as well as do “positive things” for the community.

Keira Knightley will not star in the new film version of ‘My Fair Lady’.

The 24-year-old actress was hotly tipped to be taking on the role of Eliza Doolittle, made famous by Audrey Hepburn in the original musical movie, in the adaptation of the classic rags-to-riches tale.

Keira met with producers Cameron Mackintosh and Duncan Kenworthy to discuss the part and even took singing lessons in preparation, but eventually decided it wasn’t for her.

Daily Mail columnist Baz Bamigboye reports, “Keira was never officially offered the part and she is believed to have felt the project was taking too long to get off the ground.”

Now Keira has ruled herself out for the role, British starlet Carey Mulligan, who is up for the Best Actress award at this weekend’s Golden Globes for her performance in the film ‘An Education,’ is rumored to be in the running.

Several other actresses have been linked to the project, including Scarlett Johansson and Anne Hathaway, but it is believed bosses want a British star to play the London flower girl who becomes a lady after meeting and falling in love with Professor Henry Higgins.

Although Keira will not appear in ‘My Fair Lady’, she has signed up for a new big screen project.

The brunette beauty will star alongside Michael Fassbender and Christoph Waltz in David Cronenberg’s ‘The Talking Cure’.

In the movie, Christoph and Michael play psychologists Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung respectively who both try and help Keira’s character deal with the physical violence she suffered at the hands of her dad.

As the drama unfolded, the singer’s security team quickly forced her back into the car for her own safety.

A source said, “Two men brandishing guns jumped out of their car, right next to Leona’s. Armed cops, who had been in hot pursuit, captured them. But in the chaos bystanders were also sent flying.

“Leona had been locked in her car by her security team and had to watch as her manager was thrown on to the floor.”

The officers quickly arrested their suspects and the singer, after speaking to the police, continued on her way to the airport and made her flight.

Kourtney Kardashian claims she’s smarter than all her siblings.

The reality TV star, who gave birth to Mason, her first child last month, believe she is the most intelligent one in her family, which includes her famous sisters Khloe and Kim.
