Jude Law and Sienna Miller Plan LA Love Nest

Jude Law and Sienna Miller are reportedly buying a Los Angeles love nest together.

The couple, who rekindled their relationship at the end of last year – have put in a $4.8 million offer on a Malibu mansion.

The lavish property, which is just a few minutes away from the ‘Factory Girl’ star’s favorite shopping center, Cross Creek, has an incredible ocean view and its own private white sandy beach.

A source close to the pair revealed to the Daily Star newspaper, “Jude and Sienna are hell-bent on not making the same mistakes they made first time around.

“They’re turning their backs on red carpet romance and opting for a private life. Jude wanted to buy a place they could call their own, where they could spend time with family away from the limelight.”

Jude, 37, and Sienna decided to take their romance to the next level over the Christmas period after the actor realized the 28-year-old blonde is ‘The One’.

A source said at the time, “Sienna was always the one. And now she is back in his life he never wants to let her go again.

“Jude did some serious thinking over Christmas in Britain with his ex-wife Sadie and the kids. And he realizes just how important family life is to him. He needs a good woman to look after him.”

Jude and Sienna spent the festive period on the Caribbean island of Barbados together with his three children, Rafferty, Iris and Rudy, from his marriage to Sadie.

Last year, Jude became a father for the fourth time after American model Samantha Burke fell pregnant following a brief relationship.

It’s taken Sienna more than four years to forgive her former fiance, after he slept with his children’s nanny back in July 2005.

Miramax dies

The indie studio founded in 1979 by Bob and Harvey Weinstein is closing today.

Eighty people will lose their jobs in the closing, and six movies which have wrapped will have uncertain fates. Many of the most talked about movies over the past thirty years have come from Miramax, including Pulp Fiction, Shakespeare in Love, and The Piano. In its heyday, the company produced or distributed more than seven films grossing over $100m at the box office, including its highest-grossing film, Chicago. Miramax was purchased by the Walt Disney Company in 1993, but the Weinsteins stayed on board until 2005. Disney, however, had the final say over what would be released under the Miramax name, and rejected several titles that went on to be highly successful including Fahrenheit 9/11 and Kids.

Bob and Harvey Weinstein have attempted to buy back the name of the studio they called after their parents Max and Miriam:

The Weinsteins have tried to buy the name of their former company back. Disney has not responded. But Bob Iger has made it known that he would be willing to sell Miramax outright — for about $1.5 billion.

Too rich for the Weinsteins, and probably anybody else.

Kevin Smith, who attributes his success to the company, blogged about the studio’s closure here.

Katy Perry Ready to Ditch Singing Career to Judge ‘American Idol’

Katy Perry would “ditch” her singing career to be an ‘American Idol’ judge.

The ‘I Kissed a Girl’ singer, who recently joined Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi as a guest judge on the series, would consider quitting her pop star life for a permanent role on the TV talent show because she enjoyed how “fun” and “easy” it was.

She told MTV, “The ‘American Idol’ experience was awesome. If I was offered that job as a permanent host, I would ditch my career and take on that career. It’s such a fun, easy thing. I mean, I guess the pressure gets really on when you start eliminating the number of people that are going through until you’ve got the final two. So that can be kind of tense and stressful, but otherwise it’s kind of like judging a talent show.”

The 25-year-old star had been looking forward to her guest slot for months and went on the programme with the aim to be an “honest a*shole” like Simon.

She previously said, “I might become a little bit of a buddy with Simon, because whenever I watch that show, as much as he’s an a*shole, he’s a very truthful, honest a*shole.

“I’m not there to build them up. It’s weird, because I don’t want to break their hearts, but everyone knows someone who’s been doing karaoke and doing little gigs here and there, and nobody has told them that they can’t sing on pitch for, like, 15 years?

“And you’re like, ‘Someone needs to say something.’ And, unfortunately, I might be that girl.”

Robbie Williams To Rejoin Take That

Robbie Williams is set to rejoin Take That.

The 35-year-old singer, who quit the pop group in 1995, spent five hours in a Los Angeles studio on Tuesday, January 26, singing and recording songs with his old bandmates and was then spotted hugging each of them as he left.

A source told The Sun newspaper, “All the signs are looking good. It’s great news for the fans. They’re using this time in Los Angeles to start working together as a band again.

“They were delighted with Tuesday’s session and were congratulating each other as they left. They’re using this time together to crack on with reunion songs.”

Take That, Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Jason Orange, were in the US city to record their parts for Simon Cowell’s charity single, which is set to raise funds for the relief effort for Haiti’s earthquake victims.

The track, a cover version of REM’s ‘Everybody Hurts’, features a star-studded line-up which includes Kylie Minogue, Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey and Rod Stewart among others.

A spokesman for Take That last night, January 27 said, “Take That didn’t go to Los Angeles with plans to officially write or record with Robbie, but they’ve been hanging out together, which is great.”

Simon Cowell Wants Lady Gaga to Judge ‘The X Factor’

Lady Gaga is wanted as a judge on the US version of ‘The X Factor’.

The ‘Bad Romance’ singer impressed producer-and-judge Simon Cowell when she performed in a giant bathtub on the UK version of the TV talent show last year and the music mogul is desperate for her to bring her eccentricities to the upcoming series.

A source said, “Simon thinks Lady Gaga is great and really likes her energy. Conversations have been happening between Cowell’s US team and her people about what kind of role she could have on the show.”

The 23-year-old American star is said to be checking her hectic schedule to see if it is something she could fit in, but with her relentless touring commitments it may not be possible.

Earlier this month, Simon announced he would leave ‘American Idol’ to launch the US ‘X Factor’ after sealing a $160 million deal.

Other stars being tipped for a position on the judging panel include former Spice Girl Mel B, Paula Abdul and Cheryl Cole.

David Beckham Scared of Stripping

David Beckham finds stripping “daunting”.

The England soccer player famously posed in his underwear for an Emporio Armani underwear campaign but admits it was not something that came naturally to him.

He told 10 magazine, “I still feel quite shy when I see a poster or campaign like that.

“It was daunting stripping off in front of a roomful of people. But after a while you get used to it – although my mum still hasn’t.”

While the 34-year-old soccer star’s mother Sandra may not have been too happy with the shoot, his three children – ten-year-old Brooklyn, Romeo, six and Cruz, four – found the adverts amusing.

David said last year, “When they first saw then they were like, ‘Daddy, why are you in your underwear so everyone can see?’ They don’t mind. If they were older they’d be embarrassed, maybe.”

David previously admitted he was delighted to be offered the job by Armani because he got to work with his wife Victoria, who modeled the female range for the Italian fashion house.

He said, “We never get a chance to work together and when we do, it’s amazing. It was great to work with her on the day.”

Lost Star Jorge Garcia Imagines Ironic End

‘Lost’ star Jorge Garcia thinks it would be ironic if he died in a plane crash.

The 36-year-actor believes it would be a “curious” way for him to die because the character he plays in the show, Hugo ‘Hurley’ Reyes, ended up stranded on a desert island following an airline disaster.

He said, “I am a very calm passenger, even while there is air turbulence. And I think, ‘It would be a curious irony if I would die like that.’ ”

Since the first series of the show, which sees a group of strangers try and survive on a mysterious island, the programme has become stranger and stranger.

Jorge admits the storyline is so complex, even the cast members don’t know what’s going to happen and they are always trying to guess the forthcoming storylines.

Jorge explained to website Planet Interview, “One question we are always asked is, ‘Do you really not know how the show ends?’ We don’t. We often play a quiz about what really happens on the island while shooting the first season. Now we wait for the actual script.

“But I decided a long time ago never to think about that and have fun with the part and have on set as long as I can. Surprisingly I can play a part without knowing what’s going to happen very well.”

Jorge isn’t the only ‘Lost’ cast member to be confused by the programme.

Evangeline Lilly, who plays fugitive Kate Austen in the long-running US drama, is clueless about the fate of the characters.

Earlier this week, she said, “I honestly have no idea what happens. They don’t tell us anything. I probably won’t know until I sit down and watch it with everyone else.”
