Jay-Z’s Wedding Plans for Robbie Williams

Jay-Z wants to organize Robbie Williams’ wedding.

The rapper, who wed pop star Beyonce Knowles in 2008 at a secret ceremony in New York, has offered to help the ‘Angels’ hitmaker plan his upcoming nuptials to his girlfriend of three years, Ayda Field, because he thinks he can throw an excellent party.

He said, “I would be happy to help Robbie organize his wedding. I am sure he will make it an extravagant party. I had my 40th birthday last month in the Dominican Republic. That would be a great place for Robbie’s wedding. It’s the most stunning place on earth. It has everything – beautiful beaches, scenery, golf courses – and is easy to fly guests to.”

Despite recently denying he and Ayda were engaged, speculation is growing that Robbie popped the question to the actress over the festive period as she was photographed at the weekend wearing a giant diamond band on her ring finger.

Jay-Z has now invited the couple over for dinner to start working on the arrangements for their union and has even promised to throw in a personal performance as a wedding gift.

He explained to The Sun newspaper, “The entertainment at my party was all hot and if Robbie wants my help he should come over for dinner and Beyonce and I can help him out. She is great at organising parties, she loves it.

“I don’t know what Robbie’s entertainment plans are, but as a wedding present, I would get up after the speeches and do a little set.”

David Beckham Not Famous Enough For ‘The Simpsons’

David Beckham was refused a role in ‘The Simpsons’ because he wasn’t famous enough.

The soccer star, who lives in Los Angeles with his wife, former Spice Girls singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham, and their three sons, approached the creators of the hit US animated comedy series to make a cameo appearance but was turned down as show chiefs didn’t feel Americans knew enough about him.

Al Jean, the show’s principal writer and executive producer, said: “We get a lot of requests from celebrities, and it’s always a shame when we have to turn people down.

“We had a request from David Beckham and I had to phone him up and tell him sorry but I didn’t want him on the show right now. I didn’t think he was a big enough star for an American audience.

“I got a lot of grief about that. Some people got really angry about it and I was told, ‘I bet you would have put George Best on.’ I can pretty much say I would have turned him down too.”

David isn’t the only star to have left the team behind ‘The Simpsons’ unimpressed, with Rolling Stones rocker Mick Jagger’s diva-like attitude leaving many unhappy when he recorded a guest role.

Actor Hank Azaria, who voices characters including Chief Wiggum, Apu and Moe, revealed to Live magazine, “They sent me down to greet Mick Jagger when he arrived to record his part, and I said, ‘Hey, Mick, we’re thrilled to have you here.’ And he kind of blew right by me like I was the greeter, and went, all dismissively, ‘Yeah, we’ll get it.’ It made me a little bit annoyed. I knew it was going to get awkward, because I was about to walk upstairs and record with him.”

Simon Cowell To Help N-Dubz Crack the US

Simon Cowell has vowed to help N-Dubz crack the US.

The music mogul spent time with hip-hop star Dappy, real name Dino Contostavlos, in Barbados over Christmas and the New Year and has offered to help the ‘I Need You’ hitmakers become a success overseas.

A source told The Sun newspaper, “Dappy has been partying with Simon, who has been turning on the charm with him. N-Dubz have their sights set on America and Simon has made it clear that he could make it happen for them over there.”

However, Dappy has reportedly left their manager Jonathan Shalit reeling at the thought he and his bandmates Tulisa and Fazer might be tempted to leave him and join Simon’s record label Syco.

Shalit has been further angered by the fact he financed the 22-year-old singer’s lavish trip abroad with his girlfriend.

The source added, “Shalit is livid. He paid for Dappy and his girlfriend Kaye to go away for Christmas and New Year. He didn’t expect his golden goose to be tempted elsewhere.”

Lindsay Lohan Plans Changes in 2010

Lindsay Lohan is determined to make huge changes in her life.

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress admits she had a turbulent 2009 – which saw her split several times from on/off girlfriend Samantha Ronson, her debut collection for fashion label Ungaro critically panned and her film work dry up – and wants to make sure 2010 is lot better by getting rid of the negativity which surrounds her.

She tweeted, “To answer everybody’s question… My new year’s resolution is to stop letting the lucky few that have my heart, try2constantly tear me down. 2010 is about moving forward, not backwards. Leaving the bad (people, habits, and negative energy behind) time to make changes-right!?!? (sic)”

Last month, Lindsay’s father Michael begged Samantha to help him save his daughter by making her go to rehab to be treated for the addiction he claims she has to prescription drugs.

He said, “Maybe Samantha will help Lindsay turn her life around and get her into rehab. At least I know Samantha cares. Time is running out for Lindsay. We need to save her.”

While Michael is keen to welcome Samantha back into his daughter’s life, he wants to exclude her mother, his estranged wife Dina, and branded her a “sick human being”.

Michael has previously vowed to help turn Lindsay’s life around.

He said, “I want my daughter off prescription medication. She never needed it in her life… I’m not going to watch my daughter die. Hate me now, but you will love me more later because I’m going to turn her life around.”

Matthew McConaughey has become a father for the second time.

The ‘How To Lose A Guy 10 Days’ actor and his partner Camila Alves welcomed daughter Vida Alves McConaughey into the world yesterday, January 1, and both mother and baby are doing well.

The actor, who already has an 18-month-old son Levi with Camila wrote on his website, “Happy New Year everybody!!! Claims of Warren Beatty’s conquests “exaggerated”

Peter Biskind’s book Star: How Warren Beatty Seduced America has been getting a fair amount of attention in the wake of the nationwide Tiger Woods sex scandal addiction, with claims that the elderly lothario has bedded nearly 13,000 women in the course of his career.

The salacious tidbit seems to be the selling point of the book, but Beatty’s lawyer has struck out at claims Beatty authorized the bio and insists Biskind’s assertions about many things in the book are cut from whole cloth:

“Mr. Biskind’s tedious and boring book on Mr. Beatty was not authorized by Mr. Beatty and should not be published as an authorized biography. It contains many false assertions and purportedly quotes Mr. Beatty as saying things he never said. Other media should not repeat things from the book on the assumption that they are true or that the book is an authorized biography.”

Biskind’s assessment was made via (very) “simple arithmetic,” arriving at the conclusion that Beatty had been with “12,775 women, give or take, a figure that does not include daytime quickies, drive-bys, casual gropings, stolen kisses and so on.”

Mel C Uses Beckham’s Name in Restaurants

Mel C uses Victoria Beckham to get tables in restaurants.

The singer admits her fame is not as big as her former Spice Girls bandmate and says she is not afraid to invent meetings with the fashion designer in order to get what she wants.

She confessed, “I still can’t always get a table in restaurants. Although I do have a trick up my sleeve. I always say Victoria Beckham is coming when I book. There is always a table free then.”

While Mel remains friends with Victoria and the rest of the group – Geri Halliwell, Mel B and Emma Bunton – she admits they don’t always get on when they go out together.

She told the Sunday Telegraph newspaper, “To be honest, when we first split I didn’t see the other girls for a couple of years. Then we began calling each other, and when we did the reunion tour we rediscovered how close we really are. And motherhood has mellowed all of us.

“Now we meet when we can. We still fight, but usually after a few too many drinks.”

John Mayer’s Twitter Account is His Substitute Relationship

John Mayer thinks his twitter account is a substitute relationship.

The ‘Gravity’ hitmaker, who was rumored to have been dumped by actress Jennifer Aniston because of his obsession with the social networking website, admits interacting with other users of the micro-blogging site can be as satisfying as going on a date.

Explaining his new song ‘Half of My Heart’, he said, “It’s about questions of, do I want to share my desires with someone else or do I just want to sate them myself with my laptop and my Twitter account? — these are substituting relationships.

“Knowing that I could blog right now from my iPhone and it’s up on the internet with people reading it and responding to it. How much is that a synthetic version of having dinner with somebody? How intimidating must it be to try to find an ‘in’ with the man who is consistently satisfying himself by all means necessary? Where is her place in that?”

The singer, whose previous girlfriends have included Cameron Diaz and Jessica Simpson, believes romantic relationships are difficult because they need time devoting to them and cannot be postponed until more convenient times.

He added to The Times newspaper, “Interpersonal relationships are not bookmarks. You don’t go to load all tabs, ‘How was your day honey?’ You don’t go, ‘You know what, I’m gonna put this conversation with the woman I love on my iPod and listen to it on the subway’. You have to be present, in this synthetic, listen-later sort of world.”

Kim Catrall’s Insecurity

Kim Cattrall is “totally insecure”.

The ‘Sex and the City’ actress, who split from chef Alan Wyse last July after five years together, insists she isn’t confident enough to approach men herself and can’t understand how other women do it.

She said, “I could not go into a bar and pick up a man – that is so foreign to me it’s not even in my hemisphere. I am totally insecure. That is predatory behaviour, and I don’t consider myself a predator. In fact, I feel sometimes that I am the pursued.”

The 53-year-old star, who has been married three times, admits she is only just getting used to her single status but has started dating again, despite finding it difficult conducting her personal life in the public eye.

She added to You magazine, “Am I enjoying my freedom? I’m not sure if I’m there yet. I’ve been so busy since we split that I haven’t had much time to adjust. I’m starting to date; it feels all right. It’s very hard to be private about that. Whenever you step out for a drink or dinner, whomever you’re with becomes your latest beau. Which is a bit of a laugh for my gay friends.”

Robert Pattinson Chips Tooth While Flossing

Robert Pattinson chipped his tooth by flossing it so hard.

The ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ heartthrob is said to be so keen to dispel rumors he has bad personal hygiene, he damaged one of his gnashers by cleaning them so thoroughly.

His co-star for the next film in the ‘Twilight’ franchise, ‘Eclipse’, Bryce Dallas Howard, said he confessed to her.

She said, “He was like, ‘Oh, I have to go to the dentist.’ And I was like, ‘Oh no, what happened? Just a check-up?’ And he was like, ‘No, I chipped a tooth.’

“I was like, ‘How?’ And he was like, ‘Flossing.’ Who does that? I don’t even floss. So he’s hygienic. Trust me.”

Last year rumors spread from the set of ‘Twilight Saga: New Moon’ that British actor Robert doesn’t wash often enough.

A source said, “He stinks. I mean, it’s awful. He never showers, and it drives people on the set crazy. He completely reeks.”

While Bryce dispelled such rumors, she added she was daunted by meeting the 23-year-old actor, who portrays vampire Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight’ franchise, but he helped her overcome her fears.

She added to New York magazine, “I actually came out to him that I was totally nervous about meeting him. He’s such a sweet young man, and there’s such a distinctive difference between him and Edward Cullen.

“He does such a wonderful job embodying that character, and bringing that character to life. But when you meet him, he’s such a down-to-earth, humble person, you feel bad freaking out around him.”
