PIC: Kate Gosselin finally ditches the reverse mullet

Kate Gosselin, the naggy half of Jon + Kate with the reverse mullet, has gotten her name in the headlines again by ridding herself of that horrible haircut.

Kate now sports long, blonde hair that took celebrity stylist Ted Gibson twenty hours to tack on to her stupid head. Kate seems to think the fake new hair is going to help in starting her life over as the single mother of eight children known nationwide as a harpy:

“Kate Clean-Slate,” tells the mag: “I’m starting over. It’s good to have hair again. I never thought I’d have short hair for as long as I did. I feel like this is a fresh start, a fresh me, a fresh life. I’m rebuilding. There’s no option for this not to be a good year. Now I get to start over with a new self and new goals.”

While I’ve always been a fan of pretty long hair and I don’t want to be a hater, something about it seems to be no more flattering than the original porcupine do. Poor Kate.

Madonna’s New Musical Direction on Next Album

Madonna is set to take a new rap/rock direction on her next album.

The ‘Celebration’ singer is working with both rap producer A-Trak and rock producer Brendan O’Brien, who has previously worked with Pearl Jam, and attempting to merge the two genres on the follow up to her hip-hop influenced 2008 LP, ‘Hard Candy’.

A-Trak, real name Alain Macklovitch, told the Daily Star newspaper, “It’s my production, turned into song structure – halfway between rap and electronic and whatever else I listen to.”

Madonna, 51, is said to be set on making a track to match the success of Run DMC’s groundbreaking 80s hit ‘Walk This Way’, which defined the rap/rock genre – and went on to spawn acts such as Korn, Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock in the 90s.

Madonna has a long history of working with hip-hop producers, including Pharrell Williams and Timbaland on ‘Hard Candy’, but she is also keen to play up a more guitar-heavy sound after spending time mastering the instrument and insiders say she’s working on perfecting a balance between the two.

The resulting album could be released this year.

The ‘Two and a Half Men’ star, who was arrested on Christmas Day, December 25, for allegedly assaulting current spouse Brooke Mueller, saw in 2010 with the actress and their two daughters, Sam, five, and four-year-old Lola.

A source said, “He came to their house and everyone had dinner together.”

Although, Charlie, 44, remained strong in front of his daughters, friends say he is terrified about what will happen to him following Brooke’s allegations.

One pal told E! News, “He’s s***ting his pants right now. He’s scared. He just wants it to go away.”

Charlie was arrested after an argument with Brooke, in which she claims he threatened her with a knife at their holiday home in Aspen, Colorado. He was later released on bail and will appear in court next month.

Despite the allegations, sources have previously claimed Brooke and Charlie are determined to save their 18-month marriage.

Jennifer Lopez Says She Deserves an Oscar Nomination

Jennifer Lopez feels she deserves to have won an Oscar.

The singer-and-actress believes her role in ‘El Cantante’ was worthy of an Academy Award and was disappointed she didn’t even get nominated for the prestigious honor.

Jennifer who starred alongside husband Marc Anthony in the movie said, “I feel like I had that Oscar worthy role in ‘El Cantante’, but I don’t even think the academy members saw it. I feel like it’s their responsibility to do that, to see everything that’s out there, everything that could be great.”

The ‘Maid in Manhattan’ star admits she watched the 2008 Oscars with frustration even though she had given birth to her twins, Max and Emme, just days before.

She said, “Well, it is a little bit frustrating. It was funny; when the Oscars were on, I had just given birth on the 22nd, and the Oscars, I think, were a day or two later. I was sitting there with my twins – I couldn’t have been happier – but I was like, ‘How dope would it have been if I would’ve won the Oscar and been here in my hospital bed accepting the award?’ ‘Thank you so much! I just want to thank the academy!’ ”

However, she does believe she will get the honour one day, telling Latina magazine, “Things will happen when they’re supposed to happen. I have the utmost faith and no doubt that it will one day, when and if it’s supposed to. You can’t get all crazy twisted over it.”

Sylvester Stallone Breaks Neck While Filming New Movie

Sylvester Stallone broke his neck filming his new movie.

The actor suffered the serious injury while shooting a fight scene with former WWE wrestler Steve Austin for ‘The Expendables’, and had to have major surgery.

He said, “Man, it was seven guys, kicking each other’s a*s, one guy tougher than the next. No joke, our stunt guys were begging for mercy.

“Actually, my fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin was so vicious that I ended up getting a hairline fracture in my neck. I’m not joking. I haven’t told anyone this, but I had to have a very serious operation afterwards. I now have a metal plate in my neck.”

This is not the first injury the 63-year-old star has suffered while making a movie.

While making ‘Rocky IV’ in 1985 a boxing scene with Dolph Lundgren, who also appears in ‘The Expendables,’ got so out of hand, Stallone almost died after being punched in the head and chest.

He explained to FHM magazine, “Dolph Lundgren and I always went for it. I gave him orders to try to knock me out while the cameras were rolling. At one point, he hit me so hard on the top of the head I felt my spine compress. He then hit me with an almighty uppercut.

“That night my chest and heart started to swell, and I had to be helicopter-ambulanced from my hotel to a nearby emergency room. I was told that Dolph had punched my rib cage into my chest, compressing my heart. If it had swollen any more, I would have died.

“After that, I was like, ‘Dolph, it’s only a movie, bro.’ ”

Stallone, Lundgren and Austin also star alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Jason Statham and Mickey Rourke in ‘The Expendables’ – about a crack military squad that is assembled to overthrow a South American dictator.

Robbie Williams’ Valentine’s Day Wedding

Robbie Williams plans to get married on Valentine’s Day, February 14.

The ‘Bodies’ singer only got engaged last week but is desperate to make Ayda Field, who he has been dating for around three years his wife, and has earmarked the romantic day as a possible wedding date.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper, “Robbie doesn’t want to have a long, drawn-out engagement. When he gets something in his head, there’s no stopping him. He’s asked all his friends and family to keep the entire week free leading up to February 14, so they can have a week-long celebration before Valentine’s Day.”

The 35-year-old star is hoping to whisk loved-ones over to Santa Barbara, California, for the ceremony and he has already looked around two prospective venues.

The nuptials are set to be a star-studded event, with his former Take That bandmates Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Jason Orange and other celebrity pals set to attend.

The source added, “He has asked best friend Jonathan Wilkes to be best man and it’s likely Take That will perform.”

Russell Brand and Katy Perry Got Engaged

Russell Brand has got engaged to Katy Perry.

The 34-year-old British comic star proposed to the American singer during a spiritual ceremony in India on New Year’s Eve, December 31, and Katy, 25, gleefully accepted.

The engagement was confirmed to UsMagazine.com, with a source revealing the holiday was a surprise Christmas gift from Russell.

The source said, “She told him how much she loved Indian culture while they were eating curry in England, so he surprised her.”

The couple were dressed in traditional Indian outfits for the ceremony to bless their relationship, which took place at the foot of a mountain in the city of Jaipur, just before midnight on New Year’s Eve.

A source said, “They wanted to take part in a traditional ceremony and thought there was no better time than on New Year’s Eve.

“The ceremony is usually used to bless new couples in the hope it might lead them toward marriage.”

Russell is also said to have given the ‘Hot n Cold’ singer a large, square-cut diamond ring, set in a platinum band from upmarket jeweler Cartier.

He was spotted shopping for the ring in London three weeks ago, sparking speculation the couple – who have been dating since last September – were to get engaged.

Russell has told friends, “Katy’s managed to tame me. This is it – I’m completely in love.”

The pair are now said to have moved on to Thailand to celebrate their engagement.

Dumb Blonde Pamela Anderson

Pamela Anderson has made a career out of being a “dumb blonde”.

The ‘Baywatch’ actress doesn’t mind being stereotyped as she is happy to laugh at herself.

Speaking about her image, she said, “I think it’s funny. We all have to have a sense of humor about ourselves and other people. It’s definitely one of those things. I made a career out of it. I guess ignorance is bliss – when I do interviews people always say, ‘Aren’t you upset that people make fun of you?’ And I’m like, ‘Are they making fun of me?’ I guess I just don’t get it.”

Asked if she knew any dumb blonde jokes, she said, “I don’t. That’s how dumb I am.”

However, Pamela, 42, who is currently the face of Vivienne Westwood’s fashion range, claimed many of her friends appreciate her image as she is more of an art icon to them.

She told Britain’s OK! magazine, “I have great friends who I really admire – artists and great people who understand that it’s like a pop art thing.”

Confused Doll Kimberley Wyatt

Kimberley Wyatt doesn’t know if she is still a member of the Pussycat Dolls.

Speculation has been mounting about the future of the girl group and the singer has confessed she doesn’t know who from the current line-up will be in the band long-term.

Kimberley – who is joined in the band by Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Melody Thornton – said, “The Pussycat Dolls have been around for over 15 years and it’s always been built like a Broadway show. The creator Robin Antin always says to expect new faces.

“What’s next for the Pussycat Dolls? I really can’t comment on that.

“I’m thankful for every experience they’ve given me but I don’t know if I’ll perform with them again.”

Despite her uncertainty, Kimberley insists she is still friends with the rest of the group.

She added to Reveal magazine, “I’ve been through so much with the girls, they’re like my sisters. They taught me about real friendships, because we were in such a tight bubble for so long.”

Robin, who founded the group in its first incarnation as a dance troupe in 1995, recently revealed lead singer Nicole will be joined by new singers for the Pussycat Dolls’ next album.

She said, “Nicole is going back in the studio. We’re working on new music right now. There will be a few new faces in the Pussycat Dolls. I’ve been really putting that out there. I’m really excited about it. Inside every girl, inside every woman, is a Pussycat Doll and I always want to bring in new faces to really show that.”

Lady Gaga Turns Into a Comic Character

Lady Gaga is to be turned into a comic book character.

The ‘Poker Face’ singer will feature in a free animated magazine as part of a preview for American publishers Bluewater Productions’ upcoming Fame series.

According to Bluewater, the title will focus on “culturally relevant celebrities and other pop culture icons”.

The comic will be available on Free Comic Book Day on May 5 and the publishers are planning further issues featuring Robert Pattinson, 50 Cent, David Beckham and Taylor Swift.

The Fame series joins Bluewater’s other biographical titles Political Power and Female Force, which focus on political and high-profile female figures respectively.

Bluewater Productions President Darren G. Davis said, “Over the past year we saw an opportunity to broaden the scope of who reads comics.

“There were many who had never picked up a graphic novel or comic book but bought our biography titles like Female Force and Political Power. Fame is the natural extension of that trend.”
