Jamie Foxx helped donate $500,000 worth of musical equipment to American high school students.

The 42-year-old star, who won an Oscar for his portrayal of legendary musician Ray Charles in ‘Ray,’ and ‘Lost’ actor Dominic Monaghan unveiled the instruments at Los Angeles’ Walt Disney Concert Hall and Jamie was keen to entertain the youngsters with his hit ‘Blame It’.

However, as the song is an ode to the effects of alcohol, he changed the lyrics to, “Blame it on the a-a-a-apple juice,” much to their amusement.

He then joked, “I changed it so you guys could sing it.”

The equipment included new violins, flutes, French horns, trumpets and drums and will help students in 16 American schools, who use the Fidelity FutureStage program.

The project aims to enrich arts education in US public schools by providing instruments, specialized training by professional musicians, and a chance for aspiring artists to perform with renowned orchestras.

Singer-and-actor Jamie praised Fidelity for stepping in and helping out when public funding had failed because he knows how important it is.

He said, “Even if a kid is not going to be the greatest musician in the world, just the fact that you gave him something, the fact that you said, ‘Hey, I care about you,’ that’s what it’s about.”

Kate Moss’ life is to become a play.

The Croydon-born supermodel will be the focus of a drama which is being written by her musician boyfriend Jamie Hince with her help.

An insider said, “Jamie is addicted to playwriting and is always jotting down scenes.

“He mentioned an idea to Kate, based around the lives of her and her friends, and Kate leapt at the chance to get involved.”

The script will be backed by her friend and Topshop boss Sir Philip Green.

Amy Winehouse has invited ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil to join her in Jamaica.

The troubled star arrived on the Caribbean island on Monday, February 8, so she finish her long-awaited third album, but friends of the 26-year-old singer are now concerned she won’t get any work done now Blake is coming to stay.

The ‘Back to Black’ singer is currently arranging flights for Blake, who was released from jail last February after serving time for grievous bodily harm (GBH) and attempting to pervert the course of justice, who had been ordered to stay in Britain until the end of this week to complete his drug treatment programme.

A source told The Sun newspaper, “Amy and Blake want to spend some time together away from home where they have been governed by his curfew.

“She is desperate for him to join her and, of course, he wants a nice holiday and some fun. Friends have tried talking her out of it – but at the moment she’s more focused on work than she has been for ages.”

Amy, 26, spent eight months on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia last year in order to work on her LP but the sessions didn’t go as planned.

Paris Hilton is rumored to have secretly got engaged to Doug Reinhardt.

The hotel heiress sparked rumors she has accepted a proposal from former ‘The Hills’ star Doug when she accepted an award for her charity work over the weekend.

During her speech at the Hearts for Hope benefit in Los Angeles, she said, “I’d like to thank my future sister-in-law Casey Reinhardt.”

If Doug, 24, has proposed he needs to look no further than his mother for inspiration for a wedding ring.

A source added to E! Online, “At one point, Paris reached for Doug’s mom’s huge wedding ring. She looked like she was in awe.”

Paris, 28, has made no secret of the fact she wants to get married this year.

Speaking about Doug, she said last month, “I wouldn’t rule out a wedding in 2010. With how amazing everything is going between us, I see a very bright and happy future.

“He’s taught me how real love can feel. Doug’s taught me how to grow up and become more domestic, as in not going out as much as I used to.”

Doug, who reconciled with Paris last August following a brief split, is also completely smitten with her.

Captain Phil Harris, from Discovery’s popular show The Deadliest Catch, has died after suffering a stroke in January.

Harris, 53, had a stroke while in port at St. Paul Island, Alaska offloading from the Cornelia Marie. Harris was flown to Anchorage for emergency surgery, and initially seemed to be recovering. His boys posted on his website that Harris had shown “some good signs of improvement, squeezing (their) hands and even summoning his trademark Captain’s bluntness by telling the doctors and nurses, ‘Don’t f*ck up.’”

Deadliest Catch is a popular Discovery show depicting the crab fishing industry in the waters off Alaska, and has been running for five seasons on the network. Harris himself worked on his first fishing vessel at the age of seven, becoming captain of his own ship at the remarkably young age of 21. On the Discovery website and Harris’ official site, his sons Jake and Josh released the following statement:

Michael Jackson has apologized to Lisa Marie Presley from beyond the grave.

The spirit of the late ‘Thriller’ singer is believed to have made contact with his ex-wife and their friend Karen Faye, who used to work as the pop star’s make-up artist, through a psychic last week, who told them Michael wanted their forgiveness.

Karen said, “He seemed to be on a mission to reach out to people in his life and be forgiven. Michael spent his time explaining his faults and wanting us to forgive him. He seemed unsettled.

“He seemed more jovial with Lisa. The psychic turned to me and said Michael is telling me, ‘You took such good care of me, and I am so sorry I hurt you so much.’

However, Michael apparently refused to discuss the charge of involuntary manslaughter made against his personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray in relation to his death last June from acute Propofol intoxication.

She explained, “He said he was detached from things.”

Lisa Marie and Michael married in 1994 and split 18 months later.

Meanwhile, it has been announced Murray, who was charged on Monday, February 2, will return to work while he waits for his next court appearance.

Murray’s spokesperson Miranda Sevcik told website Radar Online, “Dr. Murray is still in Los Angeles. He is planning to leave to go back to work in a few days.”

During Monday’s hearing, Judge Keith Schwartz told Murray he was not allowed to possess, prescribe or administer the powerful sedative Propofol to anyone.

He is next due in court on April 5.

Anne Hathaway thinks she is “really weird” looking.

The ‘Alice In Wonderland’ actress isn’t concerned if other people don’t find her attractive as she is comfortable with herself and would rather be “authentic” than pretty.

She said, “I think I’ve got really weird features. I have very large features on a very small head. But, you know, I’m not going to beat myself up. It’s my face. I’m not very pretty. But that’s OK because I do know that I look like myself, and I think at the end of the day, as nice as pretty is, authenticity is more important.”
