Stewart Teggart, a manager who work with bands including Bad Religion, Pennywise, Therefore I Am, Blessthefall, and Greeley Estates has died following a heart attack.

Therefore I Am guitarist Brian Marquis told AltPress.com that “We are all shocked and saddened by the passing of our friend Stewart Teggart. He was more than a manager to us. He was like a bad-ass uncle who taught us all how to fight.”

“Stew is responsible for the best summer of our lives on Warped Tour this past summer. Our condolences go out to Judi Teggart who is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet and all their family. Anyone who knew Stew would know that he wouldn’t want us all getting soft and crying about him so for all of you: ‘Taste bro, taste.’”

Although not widely known outside the industry, Stewart Teggart was highly regarded by others who worked with him.

Jennifer Lopez couldn’t be a single mother.

The 40-year-old singer-and-actress, who has twins Max and Emme with husband Marc Anthony, doesn’t believe she would be able to look after her children alone because the stresses of motherhood are so demanding.

She said: “I know a couple of people, both people I work with and friends, who have done it.

“I just don’t know if I could do this, honestly. Now I know how much I rely on my partner.”

However the star, who plays a woman who is artificially inseminated just as she meets ‘Mr. Right’ in new romantic comedy ‘The Back-Up Plan,’ has a lot of admiration for mothers who do go it alone.

Jennifer added to the USA Today newspaper, “I think it takes such an amazing person to do that. You get to a point in your life and you think about it, and I think it’s a beautiful thing to be able to find the strength to do that on your own.

“That child will enrich your life. It’s a beautiful thing to think that option is there.”

Despite taking a break from her career after the birth of her children in 2008, Jennifer knew she was ready to return when she saw ‘The Back-Up Plan’ script.

She said, “I’d had the babies, so I was waiting for the right thing and I knew I wanted to do a romantic comedy.

“I felt like when I read the script, it was at the right place for me. It was the kind of romantic comedy that didn’t feel typical, and the script was so funny.”

Despite his long (by Twitter standards) apology last night for crass and racially iffy remarks he made during an interview with Playboy, John Mayer busted into a surprise rendition of “I’m sorry I offended my black friends” during a show in Nashville the same evening.

Mayer, 32, was playing his song “Gravity” at Nashville’s Sommet Center when he abruptly paused and, as Us Magazine reports, became emotional while apologizing, partially directed at his black band mates. Mayer said:

“In the quest to be clever,” he began, “I completely forgot about the people that I love and that love me.”

He then said that he had entered a world of “selfishness and greediness and arrogance.” He said that he thought if he could just be “speedy and witty and pull together as many fast words and phrases as I could, that I would be clever enough to buy myself another day without anybody pinning me down and saying, ‘You’re a creep.’

“I should have just given that up and played the guitar,” he went on. “I didn’t. So I decided I would try to be as clever as possible all the time, and I did that at the expense of people that I love and that feels absolutely terrible. I think it’s important that you know that everybody on this stage is here playing with me not because they condone what I say in any interview … they’re on this stage because they support myself as a possible future grown-up…”

At this point, Us says, Mayer became “choked up” and continued on with his lengthiest apology ever:

“And maybe they see something that I don’t. So maybe I need to take a break from trying to be clever and spend a little time looking at what they see — because they’ve done an unbelievable thing by standing on this stage and standing by my side playing tonight.

“It’s just not worth being clever,” he said, adding: “I quit the media game. I’m out. I’m done. I just want to play my guitar.”

Mayer then paused for a time before resuming his set. Sources say the singer was moody and withdrawn backstage, and MTV reports that several rap stars, including Talib Kweli and Noreaga, have publicly criticized the mouthy balladeer for his remarks.

Police were called to George Michael’s house after he went missing in the middle of the night.

The ‘Careless Whisper’ singer wandered off from his property in north London, leaving the front door to his $7.8 million mansion wide open, prompting a security guard to call the police in the early hours of Tuesday morning, February 9.

After a brief search of the area, 46-year-old George was found safe and well nearby.

It is not clear whether George was visiting one of his neighbors or was at his recording studio, which is located 180 metres from his home.

A source said, “Although George lives in a posh area, nowhere in London’s that safe. To leave your door open is mad, a clear invitation to would-be burglars.”

George’s erratic behavior once again raises concerns over his lifestyle.

He was arrested in September 2008 after being caught in a public toilet in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana.

A year previously he was handed 100 hours community service for drug driving after being found slumped at the wheel of his Mercedes car by police.

In a frank interview last year George insisted he had cut down his marijuana use, smoking only “seven or eight” cannabis-laced cigarettes a day from 25.

George, who is in a long-term relationship with art dealer Kenny Goss, also admitted he was frustrated that people judge him for his drug use and penchant for casual gay sex.

He said, “People want to see me as tragic with all the cottaging and drug-taking. I don’t see them as weaknesses any more. It’s just who I am.

“I’ve done different things at different times that I shouldn’t have done, once or twice, you know. Of course, nobody wants to regularly smoke crack.”

Madonna is allegedly dating ex-boyfriend Alex Rodriguez.

The ‘Celebration’ singer, who is believed to have reunited with Brazilian model Jesus Luz this week following a recent split, is apparently still seeing her former baseball star lover, who is nicknamed ‘A-Rod’, and visited him in Miami last week.

A source said, “Madonna spent two nights with him in his beach house in Miami last week and Jesus had no idea.

“She just didn’t tell him, and her staff were told not to tell him. She claims she has an intellectual connection with ‘A-Rod’.”

But Madonna, who was rumored to be dating Alex after she split from now ex-husband Guy Ritchie at the end of 2008, isn’t prepared to let Jesus go because he is “in awe” of her.

The source added to The Sun newspaper, “Jesus is really, really into Madonna but he’s more like a little personal project to her. They are together when she wants them to be together. She decides what he wears, she has sorted English lessons for him and she even paid for his apartment. He’s like a little sheep in awe of his mistress and she loves that.”

The 51-year-old pop superstar is also said to have developed a deep connection with Carlos Leon, the father of her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes.

The source explained, “When Madonna split from Guy Ritchie, Carlos was there for her.

“They spent a lot of time together and old emotions came back. But Carlos has a lovely girlfriend who Lourdes doesn’t like, which has made life difficult. There will always be a big connection between Madonna and Carlos.”

However, all this male attention doesn’t seem to be making the ‘Like a Virgin’ star happy.

The source added, “Despite all the guys in her life, she’s extremely lonely since her divorce. She has everything but she never seems happy.”

Madonna has four children, Lourdes, her nine-year-old son Rocco with Guy Ritchie and two adopted kids, David, four, and five-year-old Mercy.

Angelina Jolie has bought Brad Pitt an olive tree for Valentine’s Day, February 14.

The actress, who raises six children with Brad, will surprise him on the romantic day with the 200-year-old plant, which cost $18,780, for their French home, the Chateau Miraval.

A source said: “Angelina bought it from a nursery called The English Garden Centre in Valbonne, near their house. It’s a very special tree and cost her a fortune.”

Olive trees symbolize peace, longevity and stability and it is believed Angelina has bought the plant for Brad to further quash recent split rumors.

The couple put on a very solid show of unity at the Super Bowl in Florida on Sunday, February 7, taking their eight-year-old son Maddox to watch the annual American football championship game.

The Valentine’s Day gift from Angelina, 34, may be an expensive purchase, but the pair, who are both known for their lavish spending, recently donated $1 million to help earthquake victims on the Caribbean island of Haiti.

London born fashion designer Alexander McQueen has been found dead of an apparent suicide, a source at the designer’s office has confirmed.

McQueen rose to fame in the late 90s, and was controversially succeeded John Galliano as head designer of Givenchy in 1996. McQueen remained at Givenchy until 2001, and later joined forces with Gucci. McQueen’s close friend Isabella Blow also committed suicide in 2007, and the designer is said to have been “distraught” over her death.

McQueen was so distraught by Isabella’s death that he dedicated his spring summer 2008 show at Paris fashion week to his late friend.

The invites to the show were poster-size illustrations Richard Gray. It depicts a triumphant Blow, in a McQueen dress and a Philip Treacy headdress, in a horse-drawn carriage ascending to heaven.

McQueen’s death comes just days before the start of London Fashion Week, and just a few weeks ahead of the shows in Paris. McQueen’s newest collection was set to be unveiled in Paris on March 9th.

Update: TMZ is reporting McQueen was found hanged in his home and that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Upcoming Academy Awards host Alec Baldwin was taken to a NYC hospital just after midnight when daughter Ireland found the 30 Rock star “unresponsive.”

Baldwin’s daughter called 911 and he was transported to Lenox Hill Hospital, but a rep for the actor says the incident was a “misunderstanding”:

“This was a misunderstanding on one person’s part,” Baldwin’s spokesman told WNBC. “Alec was quickly released from the hospital, he’s completely fine.”

Baldwin agreed to be taken to the hopsital, and was released an hour later. The Washington Post reports a slightly different version of events, and says that the actor threatened to harm himself before his late night hospital visit:

After an argument, Baldwin’s daughter called 911 at around 12:10 a.m. from his Central Park West apartment and said he had threatened to take pills, according to the official, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the person wasn’t authorized to speak publicly.

Baldwin is slated to co-host the Oscars with Steve Martin on March 7th.

Jennifer Garner once brought a dolphin to orgasm.

The 37-year-old actress was researching a role for TV show ‘Fantasy Island’, in which a dolphin turns into a girl, but admits the friendly mammal got a little too excited.

She said, “I had my feet dangling in the water, and the dolphin came and swam right over my foot. I thought, ‘That was so cool!’

The animal then started swimming around Jennifer’s leg until it all became a bit too much.

She added, “I said to the trainer, ‘I think the dolphin just peed.’ He said, ‘No, ma’am, no.’ ”

The ‘Valentine’s Day’ star, who is married to actor Ben Affleck, also revealed she would never pose in her swimsuit now she’s a mother-of-two.

When asked if she would considering stripping down, Jennifer – mother to four-year-old Violet and 13-month-old Seraphina – quipped to US talk show host David Letterman, “Not enough money in the world, not enough double-sided tape in the world to keep everything in place.

“Clothes are great. I feel great. If you want to see me in a bathing suit, you can go to season something of ‘Alias’ and I wore a bathing suit for an episode. Go watch that, because that looked good!”

Emily Blunt wants to use the cello to escape the pressures of fame.

The British actress, who won numerous awards for her role in last year’s period drama ‘The Young Victoria,’ wants to reignite her passion for the musical instrument to help her learn to relax and switch off from work.

She told Stylist magazine, “I want to learn to play the cello again. I played for ten years and used to be really good but then I discovered a social life and gave it up. It’s so sad and I’m angry with myself because, when I pick it up now, I’m rubbish. This time I’m going to get a teacher and just do it.”

The 27-year-old star also said she hopes to spend more time relaxing at home this year with her fiance, actor John Krasinski.

She said, “I like to go on hikes, walk the dog, read, cook, I’m trying to cook something different every day.”
