Kirstie Alley admires Jessica Simpson.

The 59-year-old star believes the singer-and-actress, who recently made a documentary series, ‘The Price of Beauty’ to show the lengths women will go to improve their appearance, is strong enough to copy with all the criticisms he has received over her fluctuating weight.

Kirstie, who has seen her own weight rise and fall dramatically said, “I haven’t seen ‘The Price of Beauty’, but I love her. She’s funny, and she can take the punches. She’s smart.”

The ‘Cheers’ actress managed to lose 70lbs and in 2006 wore a bikini on TV to show off her new body.

However, she has since managed to regain most of the lost weight and admits it will be a challenge to shift it again.

She said, “I want to weigh 140lbs so that means I have to lose 90lbs. Funny how the dark, undeniable truth hits like a hammer when you see a number on a scale.

“The truth hurts, but knocking off 90lbs is gonna hurt a hell of a lot more. I can’t believe I f***ing got f***ing fat again. I spent my whole life thin. I curbed my appetite, but then quit smoking, then quit cocaine and ate tons and tons of food. And then I lost all that weight and loved it and had it off for two years. It comes on a lot faster than I get it off.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt has marked the end of her relationship by cutting off her hair.

The ‘Ghost Whisperer’ star, who announced her break-up from long-term boyfriend Jamie Kennedy earlier this month, opted for the popular heartbreak cure and was spotted showing off her wavy bob in Los Angeles over the weekend.

A source said, “It seems Jennifer is like many other women and wants to move on with her life by getting a new hairdo. Gone are the long tumbling locks which have now been replaced by a more sophisticated style.”

Although she is moving on with a change in her appearance, Jennifer recently revealed she hates being single as she loves being part of a couple.

Jennifer, who has written a self-help book on relationships ‘The Day I Shot Cupid’, said, “Back in the shark tank! I never said in the book that I knew how to be in the perfect relationship. I say in my book I want to be the readers’ kind spirit out in the dating world. And now, more than ever, I am. I don’t like to go out to clubs and party. I’m not into, ‘Let’s go out with one guy on a Monday and another guy on a Wednesday,’ that’s just not me. I’m a relationship kind of girl. I like a twosome. Some people get excited about being single. I don’t.”

Jennifer, 31, insisted her break-up from Jamie was amicable and they remained friends.

Former co-host of The View Star Jones is recovering in New York City after undergoing heart surgery this weekend.

Jones tweeted about the upcoming surgery on March 14th:

It’s clear that God is trying to tell me something…& I plan to listen. My birthday is in 10 days…so I’m giving myself a special gift…

Her rep released a statement to People about the surgery this weekend:

“On Wednesday, March 17th, a pre-planned cardiac surgery was performed on Star Jones,” the statement read. “This recent surgery is a follow-up to the thoracic surgery she had 30 years ago. The procedure was successful and she is recovering well with her family. Star is grateful for everyone’s thoughts and prayers.”

It appears that Jones is recovering well, as the former talk show host has been hanging out on Twitter and commenting on her recovering, as well as thanking fans for support and prayers. (In chronological order.)

Josh Duhamel can’t wait to become a father.

The handsome actor says he and wife Fergie want to start a family in the future but denied rumors the Black Eyed Peas star was already pregnant.

In his new movie, ‘Life As We Know It’, Josh plays the adoptive father of an orphaned child and says the role has helped prepare him for fatherhood.

Shia LaBeouf ran the Los Angeles Marathon in less than five hours yesterday, March 21.

The ‘Transformers’ actor ran the 26.2 mile race to raise money for charity US VETS, which provides help and support to war veterans of all ages, finishing in four hours, 35 minutes.

Among the other celebrity runners were TV chef Gordon Ramsay, who completed the trek in three hours, 36 minutes, ‘Lord of the Rings’ actor Sean Astin, who crossed the finish line in five hours and 16 minutes and ‘The Hills’ star Audrina Partridge, whose finishing time is currently unknown.

Speaking after the race, Audrina admitted she headed straight out for some of her favorite food as soon as she crossed the finish line at the Santa Monica Pier.

Jamie Foxx was among the celebrities spotted in the crowd cheering on participants, who started running from Dodger Stadium early in the morning.

Simon Cowell’s ex-girlfriends are organizing his wedding.

The weekend of September 11 and 12 has been put forward as a proposed date for the ceremony before the start of the live shows of UK TV talent show ‘The X Factor’.

The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper, “They felt spring was too early to get things organized and Simon would be spending most of his time in the US with ‘American Idol’ so they penciled in the weekend of September 11/12.
