Alicia Guasteferro, a teen beauty queen from Upstate New York who appeared on ABC’s “Wife Swap,” is suing ABC and a company affiliated with the production of the show, claiming fallout from the episode ruined her life.

Guasteferro claims that the episode in which she appeared when she was fifteen so drastically affected her public treatment that she went from being an “honor student” to finishing out high school in a “special program.” (The teen’s claims about her previous academic prowess seem to run contrary to footage from the show where her mother did all of her homework for her.) Guasteferro’s parents said on the show that their daughter’s looks superseded her need to complete her own schoolwork and that they feared upsetting her:

“We want Alicia to get good grades but school projects can take too much time, especially with all of her extra-curricular activities,” she said. “To help her out Ralph and I have done all of her school projects for her.”

She added later, “If she has projects that involve design or drawing one of our staff members does them for her because they are great artists. Teachers are always very impressed with her projects and she enjoys taking credit for them. When you look as good as Alicia having brains is just an added bonus.”

The teenager says that her mother was responsible for the way she appeared on the program, and that the elder Guasteferro pocketed the $20,000 compensation afforded for appearing on “Wife Swap,” sharing none of it with her daughter. Alicia Guasteferro claims she now suffers from panic attacks and “other psychological disorders.” She is seeking $100 million in damages, and her lawyers had this to say in court documents filed against ABC and RDF Media:

“For their own profit, defendants purposefully, intentionally and knowingly caused severe emotional and psychological harm to a fragile 15-year-old,” say her lawyers in the lawsuit.

Guasteferro’s parents Karen and Ralph currently face 16 and 57 months in federal prison for fraud charges unrelated to their appearance on “Wife Swap.” Video below shows the start of the episode of “Wife Swap” featuring Alicia Guasteferro.

Jennifer Love Hewitt thinks she will make a “good wife”.

The actress, who recently separated from her ‘Ghost Whisperer’ co-star Jamie Kennedy after a year of dating, is comfortable being single but wants to settle down and have children.

She said, “It’s what life handed me, and I’m OK with it. I know wholeheartedly that I’m a really good partner. I think I’m a really good girlfriend, and I think that I could be a really good wife. I know that I love being able to give my love out to someone. I know there is somebody great out there for me.

“I’m a hopeless romantic. My middle name is Love. Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday. I want to have a family and children. I am a sucker for every romantic comedy that comes out.”

The 31-year-old star, who has previously dated singer John Mayer, actor Ross McCall and was engaged to professional kayaker Brad Ludden, also laughed off her ‘serial dater’ tag, insisting she is no different to many other women.

She told the USA Today newspaper, “I’m made fun of a lot for it, but I don’t think I’m that different from a large group of people out there who are better and happier when they can spend time with someone.”

The 23-year-old pop star had a relaxing two-day break on a beach in New Zealand following two performances in Auckland, but refused to tone down her eccentric dress sense.

Jason Schwarz, general manager of Waiheke’s Goldwater Estate on Waiheke Island, said, “She’s pretty eccentric, she didn’t take her heels off once.

“She went down to Onetangi Beach to go fishing in her eight-inch heels, undies and a man’s business shirt – that’s it. She still had her bright yellow hair.”

Discussing reports the ‘Telephone’ hitmaker was exhausted following her Auckland shows after she took off her headgear and lied down during her final performance of ‘Bad Romance’, Jason claimed she was fine, although a little tired when she arrived on the island by helicopter as she had been up partying until 4am.

He told the New Zealand Herald newspaper, “I think she was OK though, she was just pretty tired.”

The New York-based performer traveled to the island with some dancers and her bodyguard, where they all enjoyed barbecues with sausages, oysters and local tarakihi fish.

Gaga is now in Australia on the latest leg of her ‘Monster Ball Tour’, before she heads to Japan in April.

Madonna is moving back to Britain.

The singer, who relocated from London to New York following her divorce from film director Guy Ritchie in 2008, is set to return to London for six months this summer while she directs her new movie ‘W.E.’, which is about late British monarch King Edward VIII’s decision to abdicate the throne for his American divorcee lover Wallis Simpson.

A source said, “Madonna has rediscovered her interest in Britain. She’s going to be filming her new movie about Wallis Simpson in London so it made sense for her to move back.”

The 51-year-old American star will be bringing her four children Lourdes, 13, Rocco, nine, Mercy, five, and four-year-old David, with her, which is something her ex-husband is very happy about.

The source continued to The Sun newspaper, “Guy is hoping the move will be permanent for his sake with the kids. He is desperate to get the kids over here and be able to see them more often. Rocco is so excited about it.”

Madonna, who has reportedly signed up Scottish actor Ewan McGregor and actresses Abbie Cornish and Vera Farmiga for the movie, previously claimed she fell out of love with the UK because she couldn’t stand being referred to as ‘Madge’, her British nickname.

She said, “That’s one of the reasons I left England, so I don’t have to hear the word ‘Madge’ any more. Some people say ‘Madge’ is a colloquialism for a boring middle-aged housewife. And other people say it’s short for Majesty.”

Katherine Heigl felt “uncomfortable” around Ashton Kutcher because she had seen what he looks like when he orgasms.

The actress co-stars in new movie ‘Killers’ with Ashton and during shooting the actor gave Katherine a copy of his indie film ‘Kutcher in Spread’, in which he is involved in many sex scenes, leaving her feeling highly embarrassed.

She told E!, “He gave me the movie to watch. I watched it one day during lunch, but when I went back to work, I was like, ‘I don’t know if I could look at you right now. I know you far too intimately and I’m really uncomfortable… I’ve seen your O-face!’ ”

Mark Owen will leave rehab next month.

The Take That singer, who admitted earlier this month he had cheated on wife Emma Ferguson several times throughout their relationship, is said to be “responding well” to treatment for alcoholism and plans to check out of the unnamed British clinic much earlier than expected.

A friend said, “Initially, everyone thought he might be in the clinic for months but Mark has been responding really well to treatment.

“As a result, it has been decided he will leave the clinic next month.”

Although Emma not yet visited her husband in rehab, the ‘Greatest Day’ singer is still hopeful of saving his five-year marriage.

The source added to the Mail Online website, “Mark knows that when he comes out of the clinic he has to try and persuade Emma to give him another chance. That is what he is preparing himself for now, because no decision has been made on their marriage so far.”

Friends of the couple believe Emma, 33, will take back the 38-year-old pop star for the sake of their children, son Elwood, three, and 15-month-old daughter Willow Rose.

A source close to the family said last week, “Emma will do absolutely anything for her beautiful children. Mark has been a complete idiot, which he openly admits – but it doesn’t stop him being a brilliant dad.

“He dotes over those kids and Emma knows it. It’s a long road ahead. But for the sake of their children, she will forgive him.”

Sandra Bullock is reportedly planning to meet with divorce lawyers.

The ‘Blind Side’ actress, whose husband Jesse James cheated on her with tattoo model Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee, has reportedly asked her assistants to search for a “high-end” legal team to represent her if she decides to split from the motorcycle enthusiast for good.

Gossip website TMZ.com reported, “We’re told Sandra’s reps have been in touch with several high-end divorce lawyers. Our sources say Lance Spiegel, who handled divorces for Charlie Sheen, Heather Locklear and Michael Jackson, is the front-runner.”

Discussing whether a divorce petition will be filed, a source said, “Something’s happening.”

Jesse is also believed to be searching for divorce lawyers, in case the 45-year-old actress goes through with a legal separation.

Although he won’t initiate proceedings himself, his team is asking lawyers if they would consider taking on the case should he need them.

Sandra canceled the UK premiere of ‘The Blind Side’, which was due to take place on Wednesday, March 24, after Michelle revealed the affair in a magazine interview last week.

She also pulled the plug on a scheduled premiere of the movie, which earned her a Best Actress Oscar, in Berlin, Germany, last nigh, March 22.

Meanwhile, Sandra’s friend Mo’Nique, who won the Best Supporting Actress prize at this year’s Academy Awards, has spoken out in support of her pal.

During an interview with ‘Entertainment Tonight’, she said, “To my sweet sister Sandra, my prayers are with you.

“My prayers are also with your husband, baby. That is between the two of you and I hope you all make it work.

Peter Andre can’t wait for his tattoo in honour of ex-wife Katie Price to be “gone”.

The singer has had the first of three treatments at a clinic in Brighton to remove the inking of the glamor model’s name from his wedding finger and admits it will be a relief to be rid of the body art.

He wrote in his column for new! magazine, “I’ve been saying for quite a while now that it was time to think about removing my Katie tattoo on my wedding finger, and I’ve finally done something about it. I’m having it lasered off and I’ve had my first session already. It’ll take a few treatments to get rid of it properly, though. I’m really looking forward to it being gone.”

The 37-year-old pop star, who has two children, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii, with Katie and is stepfather to her seven-year-old son Harvey from a previous relationship, reportedly paid œ240 for the course of treatment and was spotted last week with a plaster around his finger.

Shortly after their split Peter, 37, insisted he wasn’t interested in removing the tattoo.

He said at the time, “Getting rid of my tattoo is nowhere near a priority and I don’t think I will. I don’t want the kids to pick up on any hostilities between us so I need to put them first.”

Katie, who is now married to cage fighter Alex Reid, also used to have a tattoo on her wrist of her ex-husband’s name, but the 31-year-old star had a black cross put through it only a few weeks after their break-up in May 2009.

Cheryl Cole was about to start a family with Ashley Cole before his infidelities were revealed.

The ‘Fight for This Love’ singer, who dumped the soccer player after allegations he cheated on her with several other women surfaced, is devastated about their split because she was getting the “maternal instinct”, according to her brother Andrew Tweedy.

Andrew told Britain’s Star magazine, “They were thinking about it and trying to organize how to sort things out with their careers to get around it. We come from a big family and she’s got the maternal instinct. She was just getting ready to work out how they were going to fit it in.”

Andrew, the eldest of Cheryl’s four siblings, is worried about his pop star sister being on her own, but is delighted she isn’t taking her husband back.

The 29 year old said, “I’m always worried about things like this. What’s happened has hit her really hard, because of her being so sensitive.

“He has done it too many times now. What’s that old saying? ‘You can fool me once, but you’ll not fool me twice.’ She has already forgiven him and given him chances but I don’t think he’s got anymore get out of jail free cards left.”

Andrew believes England player Ashley’s extravagant lifestyle gave him opportunities to cheat and, unfortunately for Cheryl, he succumbed to them.

He said, “It was such a shock because everything appeared to be good. too much opportunity. But he’s cheated on a gorgeous woman with absolute dogs.

“I was fuming. I am absolutely devastated for Cheryl. I was shocked. Why would he want to do that and spoil what they had?”
