A Robert Pattinson waxwork has been unveiled.

The ‘Remember Me’ actor has become the latest star to be immortalized with a lookalike at London’s Madame Tussauds, and some of his fans were invited to a VIP unveiling to meet the imitation this morning, March 25.

Robert fan Katie Sear said, “The figure looks really great! Just like him – his hair is spot on. It’s amazing, almost like meeting the real thing! I’m sure people are going to love it; he is just gorgeous.”

The waxwork has the trademark messy hair and narrow-eyed expression of the real Robert, and museum organizers are in no doubts that he will quickly become one of their hottest attractions.

Madame Tussauds’ spokesperson Liz Edwards said, “Pattinson is one of the hottest celebs on the planet. We are delighted to be able to give them the chance to cosy up with their idol here at Madame Tussauds and judging by the reactions of the first to meet him here this morning he is set to top our “most kissed list of celebrities very quickly!”

Robert’s waxwork took four months to make and cost $223,400.

Last year, ‘High School Musical’ hunk Zac Efron was named as having the “most kissable” waxwork at the London attraction, narrowly beating competition from politician Boris Johnson and ‘Alice in Wonderland’ actor Johnny Depp.

Lady Gaga would “rather die” than leave a performance early.

The ‘Telephone’ singer, who crumpled to the floor and had to lie down during the last song for one of her recent sold-out ‘Monster Ball’ shows in Auckland, New Zealand, insists her apparent collapse was no cause for concern, she was just worn out from so much traveling.

Speaking on an Australian radio show ‘Kyle and Jackie O’, she said, “I was so jet-lagged. I passed out about three times on stage that night but I got myself to the floor.

“I’d rather die on stage than walk off because I was going to pass out.”

The 23-year-old star, who was forced to cancel several shows in January because she was suffering from exhaustion, insisted that she’d since had a rest and felt “completely rejuvenated and excited.”

However, according to those close to the singer, the exhausted hitmaker is reportedly on the verge of a breakdown because of her hectic schedule.

A source told People magazine, “She’s on the verge of tipping. She’s only human.”

Gaga is currently in the middle of a world tour, which will see her perform 100 shows in 10 months by the time she finishes in September.

I don’t normally talk about American Idol as it generally bores me to tears but I ran across this bit of a back story regarding American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi via Chez at the Deus Ex Malcontent blog that I found rather cool on a couple of points.

It seems that back in 2004 one of my favorite musicians by the name of Dave Stewart; which you might remember from the Eurythmics days, had a one off project called Platinum Weird. This project though was known more for the hoax it tried to pull off than it was for its longevity. From Chez’s post

Stewart devised a plan in which Platinum Weird would be promoted as a band that was actually created back in the 70s and had performed one legendary gig at Mick Jagger’s house before dropping off the face of the earth. The reason they’d supposedly broken up was that their mystical female lead singer had suddenly vanished. The joke was that the one gig the band played wound up influencing everyone from the Stones to Elton John to Fleetwood Mac, and Stewart even put together an elaborate back story on the internet that included film clips on YouTube of today’s singers talking about how inspired they were by the music of Platinum Weird. According to the fictional story, Stewart eventually met a young singer in New York who, strangely, knew the words to even unreleased Platinum Weird material, supposedly because she’d wound up living next to the band’s original elusive frontwoman for several years; he ultimately put the band back together with her as vocalist.

It turns out the the lead female vocalist for the project was none other than Kara DioGuardi. She might be better known now for here songwriting but if the video is any indication she’s a pretty good singer – at least better than anyone on this year’s American Idol.

Sandra Bullock’s husband allegedly cheated on her with another two women.

Jesse James, whose alleged 11-month affair with tattoo model Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee was revealed last week, has now been accused of having affairs with stripper Melissa Smith and photographer Brigitte Daguerre after he married the Oscar-winning actress in 2005, according to gossip website TMZ.

The motorcycle enthusiast allegedly met Melissa on social networking site MySpace in 2006 and the pair had a two-year secret romance.

It is claimed Jesse then embarked on a fling with Brigitte in 2008 after meeting her the year before when he hired her for a photo shoot for his West Coast Chopper business.

Brigitte alleges the pair exchanged texts and emails for a year, but insists they only had sex four times in that period.

Many of the messages were very explicit and he asked her to send racy pictures of herself.

Yesterday, March 24, it was reported that Jesse was accused of sexual harassment by one of his former female executives at his West Coast Choppers business in 2007.

The unnamed woman claimed Jesse repeatedly made sexual advances and she kept several suggestive emails from him, as well as a stained T-shirt.

Although no lawsuit was ever filed, the matter was settled for $725,000 in September 2007.

Jesse neither admitted nor denied the allegations.

Last week, Jesse apologized for having a relationship with Michelle and admitted he deserves “everything bad” which may come from his “bad judgment”.

Through his publicist Monique Huey-Jones, Jesse said, “The vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded. Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment. There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me. It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way.”

Johnny Maestro, the doo-wop singer known for such hits as “16 Candles” and “The Worst That Could Happen,” died of cancer at the age of 70 in Florida late Wednesday night.

Maestro sang with The Crests in the 1950s and later The Brooklyn Bridge, with whom he performed as recently as January of this year at the Mohegan Sun casino. Maestro, born Johnny Mastrangelo, grew up in New York on Mulberry Street. He started his career singing in subways, and later was notable for singing with interracial groups before doing so was common.

The name of Maestro’s longest-running group came from a joke about the band’s marketability:

The band got its name after a manager declared it would be “harder to sell than the Brooklyn Bridge,” Maestro once said.

Maestro was living in Cape Coral, Florida at the time of his death. Before he died, Maestro left a message for fans on the band’s website, thanking them for supporting him through his illness:

Naomi Campbell will celebrate her 40th birthday on the French Riviera.

The supermodel, who celebrates the milestone date in May, is leaving her Russian billionaire boyfriend Vladimir Doronin to organize the party, which is expected to coincide with the Cannes Film Festival.

A source said, “Vladimir is planning and paying for the whole event, which is slated for May 22 in or near Cannes. There will be a series of events for Naomi leading up to the big party at a secret location, which is believed to be on a super-yacht.”

Vladimir, who first met Naomi at the 2008 Cannes festival when they both attended a party on a yacht moored off St. Tropez, will reportedly spend millions of pounds to ensure his girlfriend has the perfect evening with her celebrity friends.

The source continued to the New York Post newspaper, “Naomi’s birthday is going to be as lavish as other recent big celebrity 40th birthdays, such as Sean Combs, Jay-Z and Simon Cowell. Invites are already being sent out and people are expected to jet in from New York, London and Moscow.”

The fiery beauty recently spoke about how her 40th birthday would be a turning point for her because she’d battled through so many problems over the years.

She said, “I thought I’d never actually make this birthday. I’ve had times when it was hard for me to look at myself in the mirror, because I didn’t really like who I was… Anger wasn’t the only one of my issues – I have lots of them.”

56-year-old Richard R. Finch, co-founder of 70s disco-funk outfit KC & the Sunshine Band, has been arrested on charges of sexual contact with a 17-year-old boy at Finch’s New Jersey home.

Licking County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Chris Slayman says Finch met the boy through music industry connections, and that the unnamed minor reported sexual contact with Finch over a period of months:

“(The victim) had heard of his successful career and met him through music contacts,” Slayman said.

Finch’s alleged crimes may not be limited to a single victim, either:

Licking County detectives spent several days collecting evidence about alleged sexual activity with several boys between 13 and 17 years old, according to the news release…

Finch was arrested Tuesday, and detectives said he admitted to sexual contact with the 17-year-old and multiple other juveniles, according to the news release. Licking County detectives are conducting additional interviews as part of their investigation.

Finch was arrested and charged with the fourth-degree felony of gross sexual imposition. Law enforcement officials indicate that charges are pending for “sexual imposition, gross sexual imposition, importuning and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.”

Finch’s website was scrubbed of all information following the arrest, and a statement was made on his behalf:

“We will let due process happen through the legal system and through that, we are sure Mr. Finch will be vindicated from these unfounded allegations.”

Lindsay Lohan was pushed into a prickly bush by paparazzi.

The 23-year-old actress was heading to a house party in Hollywood after a drinking session at the Trousdale nightclub on Sunset Boulevard on Tuesday night, March 23, when she took a tumble into a “sharp” plant, and she didn’t hesitate to blame her high heels and photographers for the fall.

She wrote on twitter, “Only I would get pushed into a large, sharp plant by crazy paparazzi!!! I need to start wearing more flats :/ (sic)”

The clearly annoyed star, who looked refreshed following her trip to the club, was then helped to her feet by a friend and some photographers who stopped taking pictures and came to her aid.

It is the second time in a week Lindsay has had trouble on a trip to the Trousdale club, she was previously made to wait outside because of a private party happening at the venue, something which she did not take kindly to.

She wrote on twitter, “I’ve never been treated so poorly in my life, this is why I never come to LA – isn’t security, after I respect them and their work and tip them, aren’t they supposed to ‘protect’ us? Rather than man-handel and scare us (girls)?

“That was scary, mean, arrogant and unnecessarily aggressive. I pick new york just like Jay Z….. Wouldn’t you? (sic)”

Nadine Coyle feels too young to get married.

The 24-year-old Girls Aloud singer, who has been dating American footballer Jason Bell for almost two years, insists she is happy in her relationship but doesn’t feel ready to settle down.

She said, “I would laugh if I saw myself in a wedding dress. I feel too young, as strange as it sounds.

“I just don’t think I’m mature enough to do that at the minute.

“But is Jason the most incredible man I’ve met? Of course – by a mile.

“I don’t have an idea for the perfect wedding, I’m just sure that when the time comes it’ll be all right. The actual wedding day is not that important, it’s all about making sure you’re with the right person.”

The ‘Biology’ singer also admitted she isn’t ready to have children with Jason because she is still focused on her career, but would like to start a family eventually.

She added to Britain’s OK! magazine, “I want to wait until I’m at a stage when I feel like I can give my kids 100 per cent of my attention.

“I’m great with children but I love handing them back.”

Reese Witherspoon acts like a “schoolgirl” around new boyfriend Jim Toth.

The Oscar-winning actress, who split form long-term partner Jake Gyllenhaal last year, began dating the handsome Hollywood agent earlier this year and she is said to be completely smitten.

A friend of the actress said, “Reese is normally super-private about her love life, but she acts like a schoolgirl when it comes to Jim. She has a spark with him that was just never there with Jake.”

Jim is as equally taken with Reese and has already shown his devotion by bonding with her two children, Ava, 10, and six-year-old Deacon, from her marriage to ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

An insider added to National Enquirer magazine, “Jim is very steady. He used to be a bit of a player, but he wants to settle down. And he’s had a crush on Reese for a long time!

“Reese likes that he doesn’t go off for months to make movies, but he still does extremely well for himself. Jim has money, power and connections.

“And the children adore Jim. Whenever Deacon or Ava has a school event, Jim offers to be there. Any guy who makes that kind of time for her kids win high marks from Reese.”
