Lady Gaga wanted to celebrate her birthday in a urine-soaked bar.

The ‘Bad Romance’ singer, who turned 24 yesterday, March 28, had no big plans for her special day and revealed she intended to find the closest bar she could in Australia, where she is currently on tour.

She said, “I am going to find the nearest bar that smells like urine and get very drunk. I’m going to be 24. I don’t feel young.”

It is not yet known if she fulfilled her wish and found a bad-smelling drinking establishment.

The pop star also took to twitter to thank her fans, whom she dubs “little monsters,” for their ongoing support and birthday greetings, and promised them she intends to keep making music for another three decades.

She wrote, “Thank you so much for all the beautiful birthday messages, videos, and gifts. The greatest present I’ve been given this year is you I love u.

“I’m 24 today, so you know what that means? Let’s raise a glass to 30 more years of writing music and videos for my beautiful little monsters. (sic)”

The singer then posted a link to a video made by fans showing a compilation of people wishing her happy birthday.

She tweeted, “i’ve never cried so hard in 24 years, from pure joy and unconditional love. Tears are streaming. (sic)”

Gaga has also revealed plans for her third album, the follow up to 2009’s ‘The Fame Monster’.

She said, “I’m working on it now and I’ve already written the core of it. I’m continuing to travel round the world and… it’s certainly my best work to date.”

Matt Damon has bad breath, according to Sarah Silverman.

The American comedienne, who famously created a video entitled ‘I’m F***ing Matt Damon’ for her TV host boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel in 2008, joked the actor’s breath was not the freshest she’d ever smelt, while honoring him with an award on Saturday night, March 27.

Sarah claimed she’d given Matt “his first really big break” in the video, which was aired on US TV before becoming an instant YouTube hit, and added, “The worst thing I could say is, you know, Matt Damon is, like, a perfectionist. And his breath is like, Jesus! And his hair plugs are really obvious. Besides that, there’s, like, nothing.”

The 39-year-old actor, who was honored in Beverly Hills with the 24th American Cinematheque Award, was continually ridiculed all night by several of his celebrity friends.

Actress Charlize Theron joked the Hollywood heartthrob was to blame for one of Will Smith’s box office flops.

She said, “In 2000, Matt and I starred in ‘The Legend of Bagger Vance’ along with Will Smith, the only Will Smith movie that didn’t make, like, a million dollars. I reunited with Will in ‘Hancock’, which did great. So I guess it’s you, Matt.”

Referring to his 1997 Oscar win with Ben Affleck for Best Original Screenplay for ‘Good Will Hunting’, she added, “That’s not the only thing Matt and I have in common. We’re both Academy Awards winners. Of course, I won mine in a real category and Matt’s was just for typing up Ben Affleck’s thoughts.”

George Clooney also starred in a strange video shown during the celebrations at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, which featured him making a speech while undergoing a mock proctology exam.

Afterwards, Matt said, “That was particularly enjoyable – and strange!”

The tribute for the star will be shown on US TV network ABC next month.

Simon Cowell is having a Salvador Dali-themed wedding.

The music mogul, who is set to marry make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy in early September, will have a setting inspired by the revered Spanish surrealist painter, according to his ex-girlfriend Sinitta.

She said, “What Simon wants, Simon gets. The theme of the wedding is Miracles Do Happen – Simon getting married just goes to prove it.

“It will be a pretty surreal do – Salvador Dali-inspired. There’ll be angels and all sorts everywhere.

“I can’t believe the big man is actually doing it, but I am convinced he’s going to, even though it’s going against everything he has ever said. It’s beautiful, it really is.”

The ‘So Macho’ singer has put forward suggestions for decor at the wedding, including Dali’s famous melting clocks from his best-known work ‘The Persistence of Memory’.

Other plans include having waiters in oriental clothes and melting angel and demon candle works at the entrance to the venue – which has yet to be confirmed.

However, one thing Sinitta is keen for 50-year-old Simon and his fiancee Mezhgan to avoid is having their wedding on September 11th because of its association with the terrorist attacks in New York in 2001.

She told the Daily Mirror newspaper, “I don’t like that date, it has horrible associations. If he has it then it will be as if the wedding is going to be the next disaster, and that’s not very nice is it?”

Country singer Mindy McCready dishes some celebrity sex dirt in a new sex tape being released by Vivid Entertainment, a company that drew attention recently for their continued porn-courting of mom of fourteen Nadya Suleman.

McCready, who has been featured on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, is “starring” in the new release titled Mindy McCready, Baseball Mistress with a man known only as “Peter.” While the tape centers around her activities with “Peter,” McCready tells all about trysts with Dean Cain, Alan Jackson, and most notably, Roger Clemens.

While McCready says Clemens was a good lover, she also says that Dean Cain was better endowed. If that wasn’t emasculating enough, McCready lets slip that Clemens suffered from erectile dysfunction. The country singer says that she’s never met Clemens’ wife Debra, though she wishes she had. (Somehow, I doubt the feeling is mutual.) McCready also reveals that she was “young” when she and Clemens met, but that the ten-year affair started after she was of age.

Soul songstress Erykah Badu’s new video for song “Window Seat” is garnering attention for- well, mainly for the fact that the song is set to Badu stripping as she walks down a Dallas street until she gradually becomes completely naked- pixellatedly so.

Badu says the song is a statement about “groupthink,” and after the climax of the video, she speaks, saying:

“They play it safe. They are quick to assassinate what they do not understand. They move in packs ingesting more and more fear with each act of hate on one another. They feel most comfortable in groups- less guilt to swallow. They are us. This is what we have become, afraid to respect an individual. A single person within a circumstance can move one to change to love ourself… to evolve.”

Aside from the nudity part, “Window Seat” is also peppered with audio references to President Kennedy’s assassination, pivotal in the video:

As she reached the spot where Kennedy was first struck by a bullet, the crackle of a gunshot is heard and Badu’s head snaps back and she falls to the ground as if dead.

Badu has been tweeting in response to the reaction to the song, and you can read her thoughts on her Twitter feed. Badu’s new album, “New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh,” is set to hit stores this week.

Rihanna is reportedly stepping up her personal security after receiving X-rated letters from a crazed fan.

The ‘Rude Boy’ singer is said to be shocked by the graphic fan mail and her rumored boyfriend, baseball player Matt Kemp, is believed to have stepped in to make sure the obsessed letter writer, who calls himself ‘Buster’, can’t get to her.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper, “Matt has asked Rihanna’s team to be extra cautious since she was sent two very steamy letters.

“Her friends are also concerned about the situation. They spent a long time talking about it when they dined at the Spanish Kitchen in West Hollywood last week.

“They are really worried things with this guy are going to get out of hand.”

In what could be a result of her new security measures, the 22-year-old singer reportedly had a gold golf cart when she appeared at the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday night, March 10, which took her just 17 metres from one side of the backstage area to the other.

Rihanna also performed at the annual ceremony, playing three songs, ‘Hard’, ‘Rude Boy’ – during which she danced with two huge robots – from her fourth album ‘Rated R’ and ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ from her ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ album.

Speaking at the awards, Rihanna revealed she intends to develop her sound on her next record.

She told MTV, “‘Rated R’, I love the sound of it, in terms of the bass. I really like the bottom, the grime of it. But if I were to combine that with more energetic, up-tempo pop records, then I think that will be a happy marriage. And that’s where we’ll probably go next.”

Kylie Minogue is the new face of a breast cancer charity campaign.

The 41-year-old pop star, who was diagnosed with the disease during her ‘Showgirl’ world tour in May 2005, poses in just a silk sheet for the pictures taken by acclaimed photographer Mario Testino, for the launch of the new Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC) campaign for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

The campaign will see a range of specially created clothing sold in high street stories, including Marks and Spencer and Topshop, online and in designer collections over the next six weeks.

Speaking of her work for the charity, Kylie said, “It means so much to be part of this year’s campaign for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. I wholeheartedly support their efforts to raise funds for the vital work undertaken by Breakthrough Breast Cancer.”

The Australian singer needed a partial mastectomy to remove a malignant tumour five years ago and then received eight months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy before finally being given the all clear from cancer in 2006.

She has previously spoken about how the potentially fatal illness changed her life forever.

She said, “I learned that you never go back to a normal state, instead you have to create a new normal state. I have to accept my life for its triumphs and its other sides, take the good with the bad.

“I experienced a world of illness and positive attitudes. These experiences contributed to making me a more mature person.”

Other stars to give their backing to the campaign include actress Sienna Miller and supermodel Claudia Schiffer.

Earlier this month, Sean Penn appeared on HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher, defending Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez. (Clip below.)

Penn’s remarks caused a stir, but Cuban-born actress Maria Conchita Alonso’s open letter to Sean Penn has drawn the most attention since Penn’s interview with Maher. The actress makes several counterpoints to Penn’s assertions, though some cross the line from fact into possibly misguided opinion. For instance, Alonso says:

We live in the U.S.A., the land of opportunity to do and say what we desire,  respecting dissenting points of view, of course and without reprisals.

Interestingly, Bill Maher, host of the show on which Penn made the initial remarks, was famously chided by the government for controversial statements made in the wake of the September 11th attacks.

In the U.S.A. the arm of the law comes down hard on government or private sector where cases of fraud and corruption are discovered.

Again, not necessarily true- in fact, we recently had a ruling here granting unprecedented rights to corporations.

Then WHY do you applaud the efforts of a government that has notoriously increased poverty (65% to 71%), produced scarcity of staple products and created an energy and water shortage crisis never seen in Venezuela?

Yet Alonso supported McCain in the last presidential election, representing a party who presided over a large spike in poverty in the US over the eight years of the Bush administration.

Sandra Bullock has moved back to her pre-marital home.

The Oscar-winning actress, who has been left devastated by allegations husband Jesse James cheated on her with at least four other women, left the house she shared with her spouse of almost five years earlier this month and is now hiding out at the Hollywood Hills property she purchased in 2001.

A friend said, “She is here.”

Since returning to the property, Sandra has been inundated with visitors who want to show her their support.

A neighbour said, “There has been a lot of activity at the house.

“There have been a few cars going in and out of her gate and people going in there in the last few days. There has been more activity here in the last week than in the last year. It’s usually very quiet here.”

Sandra, 45, bought the property for around $1.48 million and although she moved in with Jesse in nearby Sunset Beach, she kept the house.

A source told RadarOnline.com, “She loves the house. That’s why she never sold it. It’s a pretty big property and it’s private.”

Until last week, Sandra had been in her hometown of Austin, Texas, where she was being comforted by friends and family.

Friends don’t think her marriage to Jesse, who allegedly had flings with tattoo model Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee, stripper Melissa Smith, photographer Brigitte Daguerre and an unnamed mistress who is represented by high-powered lawyer Gloria Allred, will now be able to survive.

One pal said, “She’s beyond upset… and she has every right to be. She was on top of the world with her Oscar victory and now this. It’s such a difficult thing to deal with. How can their marriage survive this?”

Kelly Osbourne hates people who pick their teeth.

The TV star can’t stand people with poor personal hygiene, and admits she had a torturous taxi ride with a driver with bad habits.

She tweeted, “In a taxi and the driver keeps licking and sucking his teeth and it’s making me SICK and putting me in the worst mood.”

The 25-year-old blonde, who mainly lives in Los Angeles,  is currently in London and admits it’s great to be back in her native country.

Kelly, who was born in London, but travelled around as a child on tour with her rocker father Ozzy Osbourne and mother Sharon, who worked as Ozzy’s manager – revealed in other twitter posts, “I am having the best time in london i really dont want to go back to LA next week!

“im so happy to be back. even with the bad weather. there is no place like home!!!! (sic)”
