If you haven’t heard Jay-Z’s new New York anthem “Empire State of Mind,” well, who moved the rock?

If you have, you know some of the song is devoted to Hova’s Yankee fandom, and the rapper says he “bleeds blue.” Apparently that Yankee love is as hardcore as Jigga says, because he’s suing Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz for infringing on his 40/40 Club’s name. Rolling Stone describes the action:

“[Jay-Z and Perez] have accused Ortiz of trading on the fame, value and goodwill of their name through his club Forty/Forty and its website, www.fortyforty.net, which they say has caused their business ‘marketplace confusion and damage,” reads the lawsuit. Jay-Z’s suit goes on to argue that the shared name isn’t accidental, as Ortiz “has been a patron [at the 40/40 Club] on several occasions long before he opened his infringing Forty/Forty Club.”

Ortiz named his club in the Dominican Republic a remarkably similar “Forty-Forty.” It is unclear weather Jay-Z is seeking compensation, a name change or something else.

“And that all blue Yankee is my graduation cap!”

Kim Kardashian was spotted kissing Cristiano Ronaldo in a restaurant.

The reality TV star, who recently split from American footballer Reggie Bush, was reportedly seen in a “very affectionate” embrace with the Real Madrid in the middle of a Miami restaurant, before following him back to his mansion.

A source told The Sun newspaper, “She and Ronaldo were kissing and very affectionate. They looked to be getting on really well, laughing the whole time.”

The American socialite, who was holidaying in Miami when she met the hunky sportsman, allegedly went back to his place after the meal, staying for around four hours, before leaving in a chauffeur-driven Mercedes G-Wagon.

A source said, “They met while Wayne was cheering himself up on a boys’ night out and got on like a house on fire.”

This is not the first time Ronaldo, 25, has been linked to a famous American girl.

He was seen kissing hotel heiress Paris Hilton in a Los Angeles nightclub last July.

A source at the time said, “Cristiano and Paris were all over each other swapping spit the entire night! His table needed every waitress in the building to service the large quantities of alcohol, and he spent in excess of $20,000 on champagne and drinks.”

Pamela Anderson is “embarrassed” by her tax problems.

The former ‘Baywatch’ actress, who was named by the California Franchise Tax Board as owing $493,144 in unpaid taxes, insists the situation was “out of her control” and claimed to be doing her best to resolve it.

Alongside a link to the Gloria Gaynor hit ‘I Will Survive’, she tweeted, “I’m not trying to avoid any tax obligation. Certain events occurred, outside of my control which caused this temporary but embarrassing situation. All of my tax obligations will be resolved in the very near future. Love Pamela.”

The sum the 42-year-old star owes is mostly in Personal Income Tax and dates back to April 2009.

It is not the only money problem facing the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ contestant, she is also set to have a legal battle with US clothing firm Maggy London International who have filed legal proceedings over the name of Pamela’s own fashion line.

The company claims the actress ignored their demands to change the name of her A*Muse clothing label, launched earlier this year, insisting it infringes the trademark of their Muse clothing line, which they registered in 2002.

Last year, it was rumored Pamela was in financial difficulties, after building companies said she owed them $1 million for renovations made on her house in Malibu, California.

However, the blonde beauty issued a statement at the time rubbishing the claims.

She said, “I’m financially secure. It is true that I am in a dispute with some of the contractors working on my home.

“My lawyers are reviewing the work done to see if the bills are fair. If they are, they’ll be paid. If they aren’t, they won’t be.”

The ‘I Kissed a Girl’ hitmaker is reported to be keen on an unusual gown, and is looking for something to make her “stand-out”.

An insider said, “She knows her toned torso is her best feature, so she wants to show it off.

“She’s also more than aware that her wedding photos will be seen the world over, so she knows her look needs to stand out. From the back, she wants to look like a traditional bride, with a very long train, but from the front, she wants a Vegas-style sequined number with exposed skin.”

Kelly Rowland rowed with cabin crew on a “sh**ty” flight into Sydney, Australia yesterday, April 15.

The former Destiny’s Child singer reportedly flew into a rage as she got off her flight from Melbourne and criticised staff on the plane for being “rude”, “unpleasant” and treating her and her entourage like children.

She said, “I found the flight attendants really sh**ty. I don’t know why. You tell me.

“They were very rude to us. That’s the first time you’ll ever hear me say a curse word. They were just rude to us on the plane. They treated us like five-year-old kids.”

According to reports, tension on the Qantas airlines journey started when a group of passengers, believed to be in Kelly’s entourage, started using their mobile telephones and sat in wrong seats.

Discussing what she thought had caused staff to be rude, Kelly answered, “I don’t know. Every time I’ve flown Qantas it’s always been fantastic. It was rather unpleasant.”

Kelly and her team were joined on the plane by Akon, Eve and Sean Paul – who later headlined the Supafest concert with the ‘When Love Takes Over’ hitmaker at the Acer Arena in Sydney.

A spokesperson for Qantas said, “The safety and comfort of all of our customers is always our primary concern and it is important all passengers observe the requests and instructions of our crews. We will always support the reasonable actions of our crews to ensure the safe operations of our flights.”

Apart from the alleged altercation, Kelly was seemingly pleased with the evening and took to her twitter account to praise the city.

She tweeted, “THANK YOU for GREAT NIGHT SYDNEY!!!!!! YA’LL WENT INNNN TONIGHT!

The 49-year-old actress, whose mother Anne Love was a psychiatrist, believes she could have had a great career in medicine if her acting dreams hadn’t worked out.

She said, “I think I would be a doctor. I think I would enjoy that. My mother was a psychiatrist. I could imagine doing that as well.”

Although she is a successful Hollywood actress, Julianne still enjoys broadening her horizons and is a published children’s author.

The ‘A Single Man’ star has written tomes about the adventures of Freckleface Strawberry, a semi-biographical character, and she loves the freedom writing gives her.

She added to website Skip.at, “That’s another career path for me. I love writing books for children, especially since it has nothing to do with films or acting. And it’s great doing something with or for children.
