Confused Hero David Duchovny

David Duchovny once thought he’d saved a man’s life.

The actor, who stars in new movie ‘The Joneses’ alongside Demi Moore and Miley Cyrus, came across a stranger struggling for breath a couple of years ago and the quick-thinking star quickly administered the Heimlich manoeuver.

He said, “I was in Vancouver shooting ‘X-Files’ and one night I went outside to walk my dog. I see a guy in a bathrobe, and as I got closer and I could tell he was choking.

“So I grabbed him and did my best Heimlich manoeuvre, like I’m really yanking on his diaphragm. Finally, he calmed down and I waited with him until an ambulance came.”

However, it wasn’t until a year after the incident that David realized he wasn’t quite the superhero he thought he was.

The 49-year-old star said, “I was in a restaurant and he came up to me and said, ‘Remember me. You gave me the Heimlich, but I was just having an anxiety attack.’ I’m thinking, ‘Thank God I didn’t kill him.’ Anyway, he bought me a drink.”

Alex Reid Loves To Read About Himself

Alex Reid loves reading about himself.

The cage fighter, who is married to glamour model Katie Price, admits he can’t resist searching for himself on the internet to find out if people like him or not.

He said, “It’s so surreal – I still can’t believe this is my new lifestyle! I have been looking online to see what the general consensus on me is.

“I have had some really nice responses and some not so positive. I hate it most when people say I am fake. I’m not – I talk from the heart. And I’m not controlled by the missus, either – I always say what I want to say!”

One person who is not a fan of Alex and Katie is comedian Michael McIntyre, but despite the comic’s jibes at their expense, Alex insists he would like them to be friends.

He explained, “At Channel 4’s Comedy Gala the other week, Michael McIntyre was very cheeky! We spoke to him before going on stage and he seemed lovely, but then he was rude about me on stage.

“I tried to grab him on stage and he s**t himself! And after he came off stage, I chased him downstairs.

“But it’s all good between us. He can even come round to ours for tea – although I might set the dogs on him.”

Kim Catrall: Most Women Fancy Me

Kim Cattrall thinks most of the women she meets have a crush on her.

The actress is always delighted to meet her fans but believes the person they really admire is her ‘Sex and the City’ character Samantha Jones.

When quizzed on whether her fans have girl crushes on her, she said: “It’s true – they start at age 11 and end in their 80s. But it has nothing to do with me. It’s projected on to a fantasy world that doesn’t really exist. It’s a super-warped reality.”

Although Kim is happy women admire her, she insists she is nothing like her man-hungry alter-ego.

She added, “I get bored rigid of that tag. How dare they? But it’s just c**p. It’s at the bottom of a birdcage the next day.

“I never think of Samantha being disgraceful. She lives life to the full.”

Christina Applegate Getting Married For The Second Time

Christina Applegate is getting married.

The ‘Samantha Who’ actress is set to tie the knot with musician Martyn LeNoble after he popped the question on Valentine’s Day, February 14.

Her spokesperson confirmed in a statement, “The couple, who have been dating for two years, got engaged on February 14, 2010. There is no set date for the wedding at this time.”

The 37-year-old actress, who battled breast cancer in 2008, has admitted she wants to start a family with the 41-year-old Porno for Pyros rocker.

She said recently, “What’s next? Babies, lots of babies. Not lots of babies, but a couple.”

Christina, who had a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with cancer in August 2008, has previously credited Martyn for helping her overcome the disease.

She said, “I have a small but mighty support system and Martyn has really been an incredible part of my life. Without him, I don’t know if I could’ve gone through any of it. He came around at a time when there was a lot of loss in my life on many levels, so he’s been a really incredible help.”

This will not be the first trip down the aisle for either star.

Christina filed for divorce from actor Johnathon Schaech in 2005, four years after they married, citing irreconcilable differences, with the end of their union made official in August 2007.

It will also be Martyn’s second marriage.

Cheryl Cole Wants Dignified Divorce

Cheryl Cole is planning to “divorce with dignity”.

The ‘Fight for This Love’ singer, who split from her soccer star spouse Ashley Cole in February following allegations he had cheated on her with several women, is reportedly planning to take control of legal proceedings in order to end her marriage amicably.

A source told the Daily Mail newspaper, “There are no divorce lawyers yet, Cheryl wants to do everything on her own terms.

“She is speaking to Ashley, they are texting – she even calls him babe – but as much as she loves him, there is no way back. This is divorce with dignity, it is Cheryl’s style.

“When it happens, it will be quick, quiet and painless.”

The 26-year-old beauty, who is not planning to start proceedings until after the soccer World Cup tournament in July, is expected to keep the couple’s nine-bedroom home in Surrey, South East England, and wants custody of their pet Chihuahuas Buster and Coco.

The source added, “Any divorce will be away from the public eye and swift.

“It will not be acrimonious and will likely be after the World Cup. All Cheryl wants is her home and her dogs.”

123 hours, 57 films, no sleep – no wonder madness ensues

Hey I like movies as much as the next person but the idea of competing in something called the World Movie Watching Championships would seem to be going just slightly overboard. However Gavin Mcinnes figured it would be a good subject to document as 8 contestants vied for the Guinness Book of World Records title of “Most consecutive movies without sleeping”

This is a trailer of the documentary(?) called “A Million In The Morning” where you can see Gavin take a side step into some sort of mad world while accompanied by a pretty decent soundtrack.
