Erykah Badu fined $500 after witness to video stripdown comes forward

And she almost got away with it.

Erykah Badu’s new video for “Window Seat,” in which the singer both strips naked on a Dallas street and consistently evokes the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, has been a bit of an internet sensation. Googlers have been looking for the video (and an uncut version, they hope) all week, and interest hasn’t seem to have abated. But all this free publicity is coming at a (relatively minor) cost to Badu.

The Dallas PD is citing the singer for stripping in Dealey Plaza last moth, a Disorderly Conduct charge with a $500 fine. The charge, “about as serious as a traffic ticket,” only came about because the video went viral. Although the Dallas PD originally wasn’t going to do anything because there were not complaints, Dallas Police Deputy Chief Mike Genovesi says in the ensuing brouhaha, one complaining witness came forward:

Genovesi said police had one witness had come forward Thursday, and told authorities that she “observed Ms. Badu remove her clothing on the public street. The witness had two small children with her and was offended.”

The citation is a Class C misdemeanor, and Badu doesn’t even have to appear in court for it. Representatives for Badu did not comment on the new development. In case you missed it, the offending video is below.

Sandra Bullock Makes Her Own Happiness

Sandra Bullock says she’s the only person who can make her happy.

The Oscar-winning actress, who has been left devastated by allegations husband Jesse James cheated on her with at least four other women, admits it’s up to her to ensure she has a fulfilling life and nobody else.

She said, “I believe in creating your own happiness. If you’re miserable, you need to look at what you can do to fight to make your own life the one you want.”

Speaking before the claims about the motorcycle enthusiast’s infidelity emerged, Sandra also revealed she is difficult to live with.

She said, “I’m not easy to deal with. I’m high-energy and need organization and structure, so I’m controlling. I want everything orderly, and I need lists. I’m aware that I can be annoying.
“Unconventional. Nutty. I do everything 100 per cent, even my stupidest missteps. But I try not to blame them on anyone else unless I fully know it was their fault – and then I have no problem pointing the finger.”

Courteney Cox-Arquette: Zac Efron is Perfect Cougar Prey

Courteney Cox-Arquette thinks Zac Efron would be a “perfect” boyfriend for an older lady.

The ‘Cougar Town’ actress, who plays Jules Cobb, a woman who dates younger men in the US drama series, believes the ‘High School Musical’ hunk is a prime target for other ‘cougars’, despite thinking he is too “confident” to be seduced.

Asked what defines a ‘cougar’, Courteney – who is married to actor David Arquette – said,  “My husband’s seven years younger than me so I must be a cougarÖ older women have more experience.

“Zac Efron would be perfect, but he probably has too much confidence to be real prey for a cougar. You know you’re a cougar when you’re attracted to your son’s friends.”

The 45-year-old star, who has a five-year-old daughter Coco with David, also admitted she is struggling to cope with getting older and constantly worries about her flaws.

She is quoted by Now magazine as saying, “I don’t think ageing is great, I’m not having a ball with it. I’m a pretty self-critical person. If it’s not one thing I’m obsessed with, it’s another. I usually obsess on one thing for a while, then for some reason I don’t notice it anymore.

“But then I’ll go onto something else. I’ve been that way my whole life. I come from a vain family, so this is bound to happen. I’m running that race pretty hard.”

Courteney, who has previously admitted having Botox injections in an attempt to smooth out her wrinkles, hasn’t ruled out plastic surgery in the future.

She added, “It can be great or it can be horrible. I don’t really know if I would do it again. I’m not against plastic surgery or Botox – whatever works. But right now I don’t do Botox, injectibles or anything.”
