Doctor Conrad Murray will not take a plea bargain in the case of Michael Jackson’s death.

The late ‘Beat It’ singer’s personal physician is said to be adamant he did nothing wrong on the night of the singer’s death, from acute Propofol intoxication, and will not plead guilty to a lesser charge, according to US website TMZ.

Murray has already pleaded not guilty to the charge of involuntary manslaughter and a source told the website he is “completely confident” the same result will be reached at trial.

It has previously been reported by TMZ that Murray’s defence will rest on a theory that Jackson killed himself by injecting a huge dose of Propofol, which he was taking to help him sleep, while he was out of the room.

Meanwhile, Murray was in court in Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday, April 5, where a judge delayed a hearing to decide whether to revoke the doctor’s California medical license – meaning he is still free at present to practice.

A new court date has been set for June 14, where a decision whether to suspend him from practicing during the trial will be made.

Murray’s spokesperson, Miranda Sevcik, told UsMagazine.com, “We’re relieved that the doctor can continue to earn a living.”

The hearing was requested two weeks ago by California Attorney General Jerry Brown, who asked for the suspension of Murray’s California medical license, which the doctor’s lawyers opposed.

The hearing was attended by members of the Jackson family, including his father Joe, who is “upset” at the delay.

Brian Oxman, a lawyer for Joe – who has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Murray said, “Mr Jackson was upset that nothing had happened in regard to the attorney general request.

“They thought that was strange. Nothing was done. They feel that the case is moving at a snail’s pace and the charges are still insufficient.”

Katie Price is installing a $26,800 security system in her new car.

The 31-year-old glamour model is so concerned about the safety of her children, Harvey, seven, Junior, four and Princess Tiaamii, two, she is planning to add a camera system to her Range Rover which will beam images of vehicles following her new $93,600 vehicle back to her home.

She made the decision following letters she received containing death threats and details of plans to kidnap her children.

A source said, “Her mum Aimee opens her fan mail and keeps most of the nasty stuff from her. But after the death threats, Katie installed about 15 cameras all over her house which link up to monitors in the kitchen.

“But it is another matter when she is in the car. There have been cases where she has been followed and it has scared her. So when she heard about the CCTV systems you can get installed she immediately said she wanted one.”

Although Katie feels safer when her husband Alex Reid is at home, she gets nervous when the cage-fighter isn’t around.

The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper, “Katie feels safe when Alex is around and is rarely ever in the house on her own because she is so anxious about anyone trying to come near her children.”

Meanwhile, Katie believes her house is haunted.

The brunette beauty has told her friend, TV psychic Sally Morgan, her Surrey home is being spooked by an old lady who haunts the top floor, while a ghostly man appears near her sunbed.

Sally told The Sun newspaper, “Spirits are drawn to Katie, I believe they were attracted by the negative energy created when she and her ex-husband Peter Andre split up.

“She’s an extreme person – just the type of personality spirits are attracted to.

“Katie could attract spirits wherever she lives. She’s nervous about something like this happening again.

“I have told her I will be happy to carry out a psychic survey if she finds a place she wants to buy.”

Jesse James wants to live with Sandra Bullock again.

The 40-year-old motorcycle entrepreneur’s lawyer Joe Yanny claims he is keen to get back with Sandra and continue their life together, despite removal vans being seen outside the couple’s home taking out furniture and boxes.

Yanny told People.com, “When all is said and done, he wants the same people who were living in his house before all this happened to still be living there.

Sandra left Jesse after a series of allegations of multiple affairs were publicly revealed just weeks after ‘The Blind Side’ actress was named Best Actress as this year’s Oscars last month.

In the wake of the revelations, Jesse checked himself into the Sierra Tucson Rehabilitation Center, in Arizona, to be treated for sex addiction before reportedly quitting last week over security concerns.

A source said, “He was fed up with all the media leaks from inside. He had privacy and security concerns.”

Jesse has since returned to the rehab facility for a reported 45-day recovery programme.

Heidi Montag, the reality show participant who has heavily courted press attention due to her many plastic surgeries, claims to have undergone a procedure she calls a “back scoop.”

However, when pressed during a visit to On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Montag admits to having no idea what such surgery might actually entail:

In addition to familiar-sounding enhancements — nose, cheekbone and chin jobs, eyebrow lift, breast enlargement, fat injections — Montag said that she also “had my back scooped.”

When Ryan Seacrest asked her to clarify what a “back scoop” is, Montag replied, “I actually didn’t know. I might be the first one to try it. It carves out your back a little bit.”

Montag also disclosed that she extensively chronicled her many surgeries, and insinuated that the footage (she hopes) will be used some day in a future reality show. Montag told Seacrest that she’d like to be the “blonde Tomb Raider,” but also said that with her new “E or F” cup breasts, jogging and hugging are two activities in which she can no longer participate.

So what is “back scoop surgery”? As a medical esthetician who has worked with several cosmetic surgeons, I’ve never heard of a “back scoop” procedure. It might be possible to do liposuction on the area, but there doesn’t appear to be any surgery that remotely resembles a “back scoop.”

Madonna feels a “close connection” to Malawian orphans.

The ‘4 Minutes’ singer, whose mother died of breast cancer when she was five years old, is currently visiting the African nation with her children, Lourdes, 13 and Rocco, nine, and adopted Mercy, five, and David, four, who are both from the country, and admits she is delighted to be able to help young women with the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls school.

In a blog about laying the first bricks for the educational institute, she wrote, “On my first visit to Malawi, I was devastated to meet child after child who had been orphaned by AIDS. Having lost my mother at such a young age, I felt a close connection to these children. Their stories had touched my own.

“In a country of 14 million, a staggering one million children have been left alone with the responsibility of raising each other. I returned home knowing the future of Malawi was resting on the shoulders of these orphaned children, and I had to act.

“So it is with tremendous joy that I return to Malawi to lay the first brick in the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls. By educating girls we will rebuild this community and raise this nation.

“It is with hope for a bright future that I am here. Tomorrow the brick I will lay is not just the bedrock to a school – it is the foundation for our shared future.”

Meanwhile, the 51-year-old singer’s hopes to reunite David and Mercy with their natural families have suffered a set back after it was claimed Mercy’s father James Kambewa, 25, has fled the country.

James is said to have made a bid to escape attention he was receiving over allegation’s he got the youngster’s mother Mwandida – who died weeks after giving birth to Mercy – pregnant when she was just 14 years old.

Lawyer Emmie Chanike said, “She could have died because she was too young to give birth.”

However, David’s father, Yohane Banda, can’t wait to reunite with his son.

He said, “I am excited David is coming. I want him to meet his stepmother and new sister and brother.”

Nicollette Sheridan is suing the ‘Desperate Housewives’ creator for $20 million, after alleging assault and wrongful termination.

The 46-year-old actress, who portrayed maneater estate agent Edie Britt in the US show, filed a lawsuit against TV executive Marc Cherry at the Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday, April 5, which claimed she was hit in the face by him in September 2008 and then sacked after she complained.

She is also suing for battery and gender violence and the legal documents claim her dismissal resulted “in her losing millions in future earnings”.

According to the lawsuit “Cherry took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head” when Nicollette queried a line in the script.

After the actress walked off to her trailer, the producer apparently ran after her to “beg forgiveness”.

Nicollette claims she was sacked from the programme after she reported the incident to ABC Studios – who produce the series with Cherry Productions, which is owned by the 48-year-old writer-and-producer.

The lawsuit also states how Nicollette apparently tried to meet with the show boss in 2008 to “discuss his negative demeanour towards her and to discuss whether he had a problem with her work”.

The blonde actress’ departure was announced in February 2009, and she was killed-off from the programme in series five, when her alter-ego died in a car accident.

Discussing her departure, her lawyer said, “It is exceptionally unusual for a popular character to be killed off or written out of a television series unless the actor has requested to be released from his or her contract.

“The decision to kill off Sheridan’s character demonstrates that Cherry and ABC intended to and did retaliate against Sheridan for her complaints about Cherry… None of the female characters had ever before been killed off or written out of the show.”

A spokesperson from ABC Studios said, “While we have yet to see the actual complaint, we investigated similar claims made by Ms. Sheridan last year and found them to be without merit.”

The ‘Bleeding Love’ singer has revealed she has “no desire” to be famous and deliberately hides her true character from the world.

Simon Cowell is a “natural” father, according to his co-star.

Reality TV mogul Simon has recently got engaged to make up artist Mezhgan Hussainy and talked about his plans to settle down, get married and have children – and his colleague on the judging panel of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, Amanda Holden, thinks he will easily take to fatherhood.

The actress – who, judges the show with Simon and TV personality Piers Morgan – told New! magazine: “I’ve said to him that I hate it when he says he doesn’t like kids because when he is around children he is great.

“Piers and I are parents but Simon seems the most natural one. I’d love to see him with kids. I’d be gobsmacked, but so thrilled.”

She also jokingly suggested that the notoriously straight talking, hard to please judge, may have children who are as fussy as he is.

She added to Star magazine, “I’d love him to have children, but do we need any more Simons in this world? I mean, really?”

Speaking of Simon’s relationship with Mezhgan, she told how they have become inseparable.

She said, “He’s been acting teenagery and happy and light. They are like Tweedledee and Tweedledum. You can’t separate them really.”

Kelly Osbourne “gave up being healthy” on a recent trip to London.

The former ‘Dancing With The Stars’ finalist, who has sported a slim figure since training began for last year’s show a year ago – said she couldn’t resist a few traditional English greasy goodies when she made a surprise visit to the country’s capital to surprise her fiance, Luke Worrall, recently.

She wrote in Closer magazine, “I made sure I went to my favourite place in London for a sausage sandwich, I had a proper high tea at The Dorchester, and I visited my favourite restaurant chain ever – Wagamama.”

Kelly, 25, added she doesn’t care if she put on weight during the trip as she is comfortable with her figure whatever size she is.

She added, “I haven’t bothered weighing myself so I’ve no idea if I’ve put on weight, but I really don’t care.

“I’ll never be one of those girls who obsesses about their figure, that must be such a boring way to live.”

Kelly recently told how she couldn’t resist surprising model Luke with her trip, because she missed him so much.

She explained, “I hadn’t seen him for six weeks because he’s been working in the UK and I’ve been working in Los Angeles.

“His agent told him to go to a hotel for a modeling job, but when he got there I opened the door – he was shocked!”
