Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren dies

Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren has died of mesothelioma, a form of cancer linked to exposure of asbestos, at the age of 64.

McLaren came to prominence during the punk rock movement of the 1970s, managing a boutique with then girlfriend Vivienne Westwood and managing the New York Dolls and the Sex Pistols:

The band was fronted by John Lydon, whose repugnant appearance and Irish background inclined Mr. McLaren (as he stated in the documentary “The Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle”) to saddle him with the pejorative stage name Johnny Rotten. With Steve Jones (guitar), Paul Cook (drums) and Sid Vicious (a bassist who replaced an original member, Glen Matlock), the Sex Pistols terrified traditional music sensibilities with songs like “Anarchy in the U.K.” and “God Save the Queen.”

Westwood spoke to British press about her former partner’s death:

‘When we were young and I fell in love with Malcolm, I thought he was beautiful and I still do. I thought he is a very charismatic, special and talented person.

‘The thought of him dead is really something very sad. We hadn’t been in touch for a long time. (Sons) Ben and Joe were with him when he died.’

McLaren is survived by son Joe Corre and longtime partner Young Kim.

Jay-Z Teaching Beyonce Knowles To Drive

Jay-Z is teaching his wife Beyonce Knowles how to drive.

The ‘Single Ladies’ singer has been going out on morning drives in New York with her 40-year-old husband, avoiding the rush hour glare of commuters and steering clear of paparazzi.

A source said, “Jay and Beyonce normally go out mid-morning when it’s quiet. Their bodyguards are always in tow but they never ride in the car with them.”

Beyonce, 28, is doing so well in the lessons that Jay-Z, 40, is looking to buy a car for her – although she is keen to avoid anything too flashy, scuppering his plans to get her a Bentley.

The source added to The Sun newspaper, “Beyonce wants something smaller. Money isn’t an issue but she doesn’t want to feel like she’s driving a tank.

“She does want a car that’s big enough to take out her family and friends if she needs to though.”

Beyonce has previously revealed she would like to start a family at some point in the future, and wants to be just like her own mother Tina – who helped nurture her talent in Destiny’s Child as a young girl.

She said, “It’s not time for that yet. But definitely there will be a time. I want to be a great mother, the kind of mother that I have. I want the same bond that I had with my mom and that would be enough for me.

“The security and love I feel being in a relationship, a marriage, it’s absolutely incredible. Incredible.”

Liam Gallagher Looks Back in Anger

Liam Gallagher would hit brother Noel if he saw him.

The disgruntled ex-Oasis frontman believes he would react violently if he saw his sibling, who was the main songwriter and guitarist in the group – and would probably “leather” him, an English slang term meaning to beat someone up.

Liam told Shortlist magazine, “I don’t wanna see him. But if I see him, who knows what would happen? I’ll probably end up f***ing leathering him.”

Liam, 37, and Noel, 42, have a long running love/hate relationship and have previously waged wars of words against each and fought in public, with Noel briefly quitting the band in 2000 after they got into a drunken fight in Barcelona after Liam questioned the legitimacy of his brother’s daughter Anais, provoking Noel into headbutting him.

The ‘Lyla’ singer also insisted Noel, who quit the group last summer after the pair got into a fight just moments before they were due on stage in Paris – isn’t “rock ‘n’ roll” anymore and that Oasis will never reform.

He added, “Oasis ran its course. We stepped over that fine line. People in the band grew up and went different ways. Noel wanted to chill out a bit. He’s not rock ‘n’ roll mate. I am, I’m still going for it until the day I die, without a doubt. You won’t catch Oasis reforming y’know, not ever.”

Since the group’s split Liam has formed a new band featuring all the members of Oasis apart from Noel, who is currently working on his first solo record.

Lindsay Lohan Mom’s Protective Team

Lindsay Lohan’s mother Dina has a protective “team” surrounding her daughter.

Dina admits she is worried about her daughter’s lifestyle but has criticized her ex-husband Michael Lohan, who has repeatedly claimed the actress needs professional help for prescription drug addiction, for going public with her problems.

Dina blasted, “I don’t really listen to what Michael says. I have a team behind Lindsay. I’m certainly not going to tell you or the public what I’m doing but I definitely don’t sit idle and do nothing. We have a tight inner circle and we keep things private as a family.”

Dina – who also has three other children, Michael Douglas, 22, Ali, 16 and Dakota, 13, with Michael, also blasted her former spouse’s poor parenting skills and urged him to stay silent to stop hurting his family.

She added to America’s OK! magazine, “Michael has no relationship with his children. He has no visitation. My daughter Ali has a block on her phone, my little one doesn’t talk to him, my older son Michael is in college and doesn’t talk to him and Lindsay has no relationship with him. He has hurt them deeply by what he’s done publicly and it breaks my heart.

“I can’t make him be a better father, but I want him to stop hurting Lindsay publicly. He needs to focus on his three other children and take care of them. It’s time for him to be quiet for while.”

This week Michael announced he had got engaged to girlfriend Kate Major and Dina also attacked his plans for a lavish wedding, insisting he should use his money for their children.

She said, “Where he’s finding money for engagement rings and weddings I don’t know. He’s nine months behind in his child support. I wish him the best, but pay for the kids you already have.”

Eva Longoria Parker Confused By Nicollette Sheridan’s Lawsuit

Eva Longoria Parker “didn’t know” Nicollette Sheridan had a problem with Marc Cherry.

The ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress is astonished by her former co-star’s claims the show’s creator slapped her, resulting in her getting written out of the series after complaining, because she was not on set at the time of the alleged incident in September 2008.

She said, “He’s funny and sweet… and probably couldn’t harm a fly. He’s just so sweet. I do know they had a thing on set. I guess it was a couple of years ago.

“Nicollette’s a sweet girl, too. I’m really confused about this whole thing.”

The actress also admitted she is concerned the allegations, for which Nicollette is suing the TV executive for $20 million, will “tarnish” the reputation of the show.

She added in an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his KISS FM radio show, “It’s a big lawsuit, it’s a big deal, I love the show so much that I would hate for anything to really tarnish the reputation of the show. I really would like all of it to go away.”

The 35-year-old brunette beauty, who plays Gabrielle Solis, hasn’t spoken to Nicollette since her departure, but would like to get back in touch with her.

She said, “I haven’t talked to her since she left the show… we used to be really friendly when she was here, but she was kind of on vacation for a while, so I haven’t seen her around in Los Angeles. I would love to see her to find out if everything is OK.”

Nicollette, who portrayed maneater Edie Britt in the show, filed a lawsuit against Cherry at Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, April 5, which alleged assault and battery, gender violence and wrongful termination.

The 46-year-old actress’ departure was announced in February 2009, and she was killed-off from the program in series five, when her alter-ego died in a car accident.

David and Victoria Beckham’s New Sex Regime

David and Victoria Beckham are having sex five times a day in a bid to have another baby.

The former Spice Girl, who has three sons with the soccer star, is desperate for a daughter and has devised a “timetable” to allow them to get intimate as often as possible.

The couple apparently started their new sex regime during an Easter holiday in the Caribbean but have now briefly parted ways as David recovers from a ruptured Achilles tendon in Los Angeles and Victoria is in London for work.

A family friend told The Sun newspaper, “David was relieved to get a break. He’s not complaining. But with all the strapping on his foot just getting about is hard enough, let alone bedroom gymnastics five times a day. Vic is desperate to get pregnant and has a timetable for sex.”

David, 34, is apparently “exhausted” from his 35-year-old spouse’s demands and is trying to recuperate quickly before they reunite on Monday, April 12.

The friend added, “From what David’s said it basically means he must be on continuous standby. He’s exhausted and is just trying to get his energy back for Victoria’s return.”

The couple were expected to start trying for a baby after this summer’s World Cup soccer tournament but have decided to extend their brood earlier now David has been ruled out of the England squad because of his injury.

Kendra Wilkinson Happy To Let Son Party at the Playboy Mansion

Kendra Wilkinson would let her son attend parties at the Playboy Mansion when he is older.

The 24-year-old former Playmate, who gave birth to Hank Jr. in December, admits she would be happy for her child to attend the notorious bashes thrown by her former boyfriend Hugh Hefner, because she doesn’t think they are as wild as they are perceived. She said, “The Playboy parties aren’t bad. The ones on TV are the bad parties – the real parties are classy and fun.”

The blonde beauty, who is married to American footballer Hank Baskett, also revealed she won’t worry about her son when he starts dating, until he decides he wants to settle down.

She told Now magazine, “I’m happy for him to bring girls home, too. But when it comes to a point where he says to me, ‘Mom, I’ve got a girlfriend and I’m in love with her,’ I’ll be like, ‘Who is this b***h?’ The girl has to win my heart, not his!”

Despite having a new baby in her life, Kendra insists she and Hank still make time for fun, both with and without each other.

She explained, “I just went away to New York for three days and Hank took care of the baby while I was there. He sent me pictures of his poops every day!

“We make time for romance. It’s not going out for fancy dinners, it’s just simple things like a slap on the butt or something like that.

“I can’t really go out and go full-on crazy any more, but I’m not going to stop living my life.”

Lonely Child Hilary Swank

Hilary Swank’s friends were banned from playing with her at school.

The Oscar-winning actress, who grew up in a trailer park in Bellingham, Washington – was shunned by her classmates because their parents didn’t want them socializing with someone from a poor background.

She said, “I grew up feeling like an outsider because we had no money, so I understood ‘classism’ at a young age. A lot of parents didn’t want their kids playing with me, even though the kids didn’t care.”

The 35-year-old star was forced to spend her spare time reading and watching movies, where the characters became the closest thing she had to friends.

She explained, “Because I experienced that, my friends became characters in books or movies. That’s what I could relate to. The first three movies I remember watching – ‘The Elephant Man’, ‘The Miracle Worker’ and ‘The Wizard of Oz’ – were all about outsiders facing adversity.”

However, Hilary feels as though her film career – which has seen her win two Best Actress Academy Awards, has helped her finally fit in.

She explained to Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine, “The fact that people I admire so much have embraced me with the awards means that I don’t feel like such an outsider any more. I’ve grown up and experienced a lot in life, and have traveled and seen the world. What I recognized was that I wasn’t alone and everyone has that feeling. But my job brings me so much joy, I’m always on the film set thinking ‘How did I get so lucky?’ I don’t ever want to take it for granted.”

Shia LaBeouf Admits Problems Trusting Women

Shia LaBeouf admits he has trust issues.

The Hollywood heartthrob, who is currently dating his ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ co-star Carey Mulligan, says he finds it difficult to let people into his life but his outlook has started to change since falling for Carey.

He said, “I’ve said this before, women are a vice to me. But that was a different time in my life. I have a problem trusting people and I never wanted to date an actress, but you can’t plan for this.

“It smacks you in the face, and everything I thought I knew, I didn’t know, so I’m just learning again. It’s great, it’s amazing. I was really lonely before, a really dark dude. I still am, but I’m better. I think love is my favourite hobby, for sure.”

Shia, who has previously been linked to Megan Fox and Rihanna – says he’s very content with Carey, 24, and knows they have something special together.

The 23-year-old star told Britain’s Glamour magazine, “I fall in love easily, but there’s a difference between being in love and being in a loving relationship. ‘In love’ is infatuation. ‘Love’ is when that love dies down and you’re just there. The burning volcano stops erupting, the lava gets cold. And I’m close to that for sure.”

Michael Lohan and Fiancee Plans For a Baby

Michael Lohan is trying for a baby with his new fiancee.

The 49-year-old star – who already has four children, including actress Lindsay Lohan, with ex-wife Dina, says journalist Kate Major is desperate to have children and the couple are practicing “at least four times a night”.

He said, “Kate wants a baby. Since I’m getting no younger, we practice We agreed, that if she does get pregnant, one is enough.”

Michael and Kate, 27, are set to marry in New York later this year and hopes all his children will be there to witness the nuptials.

He told US TV show ‘Access Hollywood’, “The wedding will be at Oheka Castle on Long Island. I hope that Lindsay and the rest of my kids will be there if Dina doesn’t thwart it like she did my dad’s funeral. Some things in life are sacred, yet some know what that word means. Such as family.”

However, he may not get his wish as Lindsay – who is currently estranged from Michael – has said her father’s engagement makes her sick.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star said, “I’m gonna vomit! I so didn’t need that info… Yuck!”

As well as 23-year-old Lindsay, Michael and Dina have three other children, Michael Douglas, 22, Ali, 16 and Dakota, 13.
