The tragic story of child star Dana Plato has an even sadder addendum- her 25-year-old son Tyler Lambert has committed suicide.

Lambert’s death came almost eleven years to the day on which his mother took her life after years of hardship following her run on 80’s sitcom Diff’rent Strokes. Plato played the character of Kimberly Drummond, but failed to maintain the same level of success when the show ended. She appeared in an X-rated movie (Different Strokes: The Story of Jack and Jill…and Jill) had run-ins with the law for a robbery and drug related incidents, and served thirty days in jail.

On May 7th of 1996, Plato appeared on Howard Stern’s radio show, attracting a large amount of verbal abuse from callers. The next day, during a trip in the RV she lived in with her boyfriend, Plato was found dead in what was ultimately ruled to be a suicide. Sources say that Tyler Lambert never truly recovered from the trauma of his mother’s death:

The National Enquirer reports that Tyler was so obsessed by his mother that he recently honored her by getting teardrop tattoos on his face with her ashes added to the ink. He also had a tattoo on his forearm with his mother’s name…

His grandmother told the National Enquirer “Tyler wanted to be with his mother.”

Lambert died on May 6th, reportedly of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Rihanna spent a staggering $22,400 on alcohol in just three hours.

The ‘Rude Boy’ singer headed to London nightclub Mahiki after playing a sold-out show at The 02 Arena on Monday night, May 10, and treated her huge entourage to champagne, vodka and Jagermeister – a German herb liqueur.

One fellow reveler said, “She turned up with a massive entourage of about 70 people. She ordered thousands of pounds worth of alcohol, including Krug champagne, huge bottles of Grey Goose vodka and trays of Jager-bombs.”

The 22-year-old pop star had her own private dancefloor and partied until the early hours, at one point dancing to one of her own songs.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper, “She had a section of the dancefloor cornered off just for her and when the DJ played her song ‘Rude Boy’ she started gyrating with a bunch of men.”

The Barbados-born beauty stayed at the club with her entourage until around 4.30am before heading back to her hotel.

A source said, “When she left she was clutching a half-drunk bottle of Mount Gay rum. She took it into her car, saying it was a souvenir as it’s made in her home country, Barbados.”

Rihanna played her second sold-out show at The 02 Arena last night, May 11.

The spectacular concert began with a heartfelt ‘Russian Roulette’, which was accompanied by huge images of crashing cars, guns and armies behind her on video screens.

An early highlight was ‘Disturbia’, during which Rhianna danced between giant bird-men on stilts.

She strapped on a guitar for the explosive ‘Rockstar 101’, while an acoustic rendition of Oasis’ ‘Wonderwall’ saw her provocatively straddling a pink tank.

The singer, who is on the European leg of her ‘Last Girl on Earth’ tour, later sent the mostly female audience delirious with a frenetic rendition of ‘Rude Boy’, before bringing the house down with her biggest hit ‘Umbrella’.

Tapes of leaked answering machine messages have revealed the late ‘Thriller’ singer – who died of acute Propofol intoxication last June – begged friends for money to help him start a new life as he feared for his safety.

In one message, published by The Sun newspaper, he said, “It is Michael calling. It is very important, I want that 150 in that account for me, because… I am very concerned about my life. I am hearing a lot of stories that (name withheld) is still trying to sabotage (inaudible) me and I want to be in a different environment and, um, I’ve found a place that I like and now (inaudible) I want to be away for a while where they can’t find me. So please help me, help (inaudible) help me, and, um, more important than (inaudible). We are brothers.”

Other messages, which were given to US journalist Daphne Barak after she wrote a book about celebrity addiction, reveal the “embarrassed” singer was trying to flee the “Italian Mafia” and make more requests for cash, using the code word “sun screen” for money.

In many messages he sounds frantic and paranoid, while in others his voice is slurred and he appears dazed and confused.

Daphne said, “Some of Michael’s closest confidents talked to me exclusively about his addictions – and provided audio tapes of Michael never heard before.

“These demonstrate different states of mind he was experiencing under the influence of pharmaceuticals.”

Lindsay Lohan is on course to complete her alcohol education classes.

The 23-year-old actress, who was ordered to complete the programme as part of her 2007 sentence for cocaine use and driving under the influence (DUI), is due to finish the classes by July, despite having missed some of the lessons.

A source said, “Lindsay will finish her alcohol education classes on time by July 2010.

“This date was set by Judge Marsha Revel, and even though there were some weeks that she missed class, Lindsay made up the class the following week by going twice.”

A report on her progress is currently being prepared.

Meanwhile, Lindsay has denied claims she had a screaming row with Avril Lavigne, who reportedly branded her “fake” and “a loser” at Los Angeles hotel Chateau Marmont.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star said, “That is not true. I don’t know why I am such a target, but I think there’s a big misconception of who I am as a person.

“I’ve been working a lot, and it’s not a crime to go out and have fun with your friends… I do realise it’s silly of me to give people what they want – to see me out at night.”

Yesterday, May 11,, Lindsay’s father Michael was reported to have begged a judge to send the troubled actress, who has denied an addiction to prescription drugs, to rehab.

His lawyer Lisa Bloom wrote a letter to the official presiding over her DUI case, which read, “It is clear to Michael that the current court-ordered condition of her probation – namely, that she is required only to attend alcohol education classes – is insufficient. ”

The letter went on to ask a judge to “order Lindsay into an inpatient residential drug and alcohol treatment programme”.

Kim Kardashian is on the lookout for a husband.

The reality TV split from American footballer Reggie Bush in March and while she is enjoying single life, she is keen to find a man she can settle down with.

The 29-year-old socialite told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show, ‘On Air with Ryan Seacrest’, “I’m on the market. This is a new life for me. I haven’t been single in years. I never thought I would like being single.

“I’m not the dating type. I’m a relationship kind of girl. The next one that comes into my life will be my husband.”

It was rumored Kim and Reggie, who she had been dating on and off for three years,split because she wanted to get married, while he wasn’t convinced Kim was “the right kind of girl” to spend his life with.

A source said at the time, “Kim has been pushing for marriage – the pressure’s been on. She feels it’s the next step for her and Reggie. But Reggie knows deep down in his heart that he doesn’t want to marry Kim. He basically put it on the line for her – he wants a wife that is a support system to him and would be a stay at home mom to his children.

“Reggie loves Kim but he knows that’s just not her. He loves her drive and ambition, and he thinks she’s amazing, he truly loves her, but he knows she’s just not the right kind of girl for him to marry.”

Britney Spears has fired her boyfriend Jason Trawick as her agent.

The ‘3’ singer, who has been dating the talent agent since March 2009, has decided to stop working professionally with her lover so they can focus on being a couple.

A spokesperson for the pop star confirmed, “Britney and Jason have decided to end their professional relationship and focus on their personal relationship.

“Since wrapping her recent world tour, Spears has been busy in the studio working on her next album.”

This move has quashed rumors the 28-year-old singer and Jason, 38, are on the verge of breaking up.

Jason had represented the blonde beauty through the New York-based entertainment agency, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, since 2006.

Britney – who has sons Sean Preston, four, and three-year-old Jayden James with ex-husband Kevin Federline – and Jason started dating in March 2009. They split briefly in August, but soon reconciled.

Since their romance began, Jason has reportedly proposed to Britney on numerous occasions.

Gabriella Cilmi wants to take Leona Lewis out for an Australian themed night.

The ‘Woman On A Mission’ star, who is set to join the British singer as a support act on her UK tour, admitted she hoped Leona would be up for a fun night out because she wanted to show her how Australians like to party.

She told BANG Showbiz, “I could take her out on an Aussie night out and have a good party. I just like going out and having a good boogey… it would be fun! As long as you’ve got company, we’d have a great night.”

The 19-year-old star criticized those who called Leona boring and claimed she was probably just as much fun as the rest of us.

She said, “I say leave her alone… just because she’s not a skank and is well behaved! I met her last year when we played a gig in Austria on top of the mountains. Leona came up and we took lots of pictures.”

The Australian beauty also revealed that she was looking forward to preparing for the show because it would give her the opportunity to funk up some of her tracks.

She said, “It’s going to be really fun because I’ve never played to that many, or that kind of audience before. I’m going into rehearsals next week and we’re trying to arrange the tracks for playing them to stadiums which is quite scary but really cool as you have to funk up the tracks.”

Cory Monteith doesn’t have “time” to date Taylor Swift.

The ‘Glee’ hunk, who portrays Finn Hudson in the musical drama series, thinks the country singing sensation Taylor Swift is “lovely” but claims he doesn’t have time for romance.

Speaking to US TV host Ellen DeGeneres, he said, “I don’t know where the time is to date these days.”

The 29-year-old actor, who was first romantically linked to Taylor, 20, after the Grammy Awards in February – denied he was in a relationship with the star.

He said, “No, we’re just friends. It’s cute… She’s lovely.”

When the talk show host joked that they should be more than friends, Corey retorted, “Stop it!”

It had recently been reported that Taylor had been trying to keep her new relationship under wraps to prevent her protective mother Andrea, who is also her manager, from finding out.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine, “Taylor is actually pretending not to be interested in Cory so her mother doesn’t scare him off.

“Taylor’s figured out she better not have any serious mother-daughter conversations about her love life or the relationship will be doomed from the get-go. Taylor really likes Cory, and she’s telling friends she sees real romantic possibilities with him.”

Queen Latifah signed up for her new film role because of the on-screen passion.

The actress, who plays a physical therapist in the romantic comedy ‘Just Wright’ alongside the rapper-turned-actor Common, admitted she couldn’t wait to get her hands on the star.

She said, “That’s what the movie is all about. It’s all about me having the opportunity to be in bed with Common. I mean, what’s this all for if I can’t hook that up? It’s not a bad day of work. I just want everybody to know that we didn’t go for an R-rating.”

The 40 year old claimed she had to work hard to help Common, real name Lonnie Rashied Lynn, Jr. – live up to his hunky image.

She said, “There were certain scenes where I was like, ‘Man, you’re that dude. Girls throw their selves all over you. Be that dude!’ Sometimes I would just pump him up, like gas, because he’s so humble.”

The US star, who has shed 25lbs over the past two years, also claimed being sexy was simply in the eye of the beholder.

She told Parade.com, “I’ve always believed it’s not always what you look like, it’s who you are on the inside. Beauty from the inside out is something that I can connect with because that’s where you get your integrity and confidence.”

Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to splash out $148,800 on a pre-wedding make-over.

The 50-year-old music mogul wants to look his best when he ties the knot with make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy, 36, and is embarking on an exercise and beauty regime in order to look “youthful” on his big day.

A source said, “Simon has booked in for the works. He’s getting everything done so he can do Mezhgan proud on the big day.

“He’s spending a fortune on Botox and fillers to try to keep a youthful look, and he’s going back to the dentist in LA to get costly teeth enhancements.

“The way Simon sees it is that if he’s gone through all these treatments in the past for a TV show, he can certainly do it for his wedding day.

“As the ceremony nears, he’ll have weekly microdermabrasion facials, which will give his skin a healthy glow. He’s been promised that it will knock at least five years off him.

“And he wants a body to match, so he’s hired one of the top personal fitness trainers in the UK and Los Angeles to help him tone up and work out.”

Despite his plans, Mezghan is said to be trying to talk her fiancé out of his extreme make-over plans, but he is refusing to listen.

The source added to Britain’s Star magazine, “Mezhgan thinks Simon looks great the way he is and doesn’t want him wasting his time getting all the treatments – but there’s no talking to him.

“He keeps saying he’s dating a woman 14 years younger than him, so he needs to keep on his toes and look the part.

“So as soon as they finalize the date, Simon will begin his treatments and start working out.”
