Slipknot bassist Paul Gray has been found dead in a suburban Des Moines hotel room, according to local police.

Gray, known by his number #2, or “The Pig,” was found by an employee at Town Plaza Hotel in a suburb of the city. At this stage foul play is not suspected, although an autopsy will be carried out.

Born in Los Angeles, Paul Gray performed in bands including Anal Blast, Vexx, Body Pit and Inveigh Catharsi, before eventually joining Slipknot as a founding member.

He is survived by his wife Brenna. Sadly, Gray and his wife were expecting their first child at the time of his death.

Russell Brand hasn’t invited his father to his wedding.

The British comic star has decided against asking Ron Brand to witness his nuptials to fiancee Katy Perry, whose parents Keith and Mary Hudson will be at the ceremony, because he doesn’t want to upset his mother Barbara, who split from his dad when Russell was a child.

Ron said, “No one has been invited. It’s going to be a very small wedding.”

A family friend insists 66-year-old Ron respects his son’s decision, though he is upset at missing the big day.

The source said, “The split happened a long time ago but there is still tension there. Russell’s very close to his mother. He hates seeing her upset. To be fair, Ron takes full blame for the split.

“He’s glad Russell’s found the woman he wants to settle down with. Of course he would like to see his son get married but he is respectful of the situation.”

Russell, 34, and 25-year-old Katy are believed to be marrying in India – where they got engaged on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2009, in October.

Leona Lewis loves to give her pets “kisses and cuddles”.

When she isn’t on stage or in the studio, the 25-year-old pop star insists her world revolves around her horse Goose, dog Misty and rabbit Melrose.

Leona, who is a strict vegetarian said, “I dote on them. I give them lots of kisses and cuddles.

Discussing marriage plans, Andres added, “Who knows… but why not?”

Lindsay Lohan will appear in court this morning, May 24.

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress has flown back to the US from the Cannes Film Festival in France to stand before a judge after violating her probation following her arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) in 2007.

Lindsay’s parents Michael and Dina Lohan, who are divorced, will not be attending their daughter’s hearing.

Michael told X17 Online, “I am in New York and not going to Lindsay’s appearance tomorrow. The hearing is of no consequence because incarceration or judgment are not options at this time. Dina and I will be at the probation violation hearing, at which time, we will support Lindsay, in a way that will help her and be of best benefit to her present state and well being.”

The 23-year-old actress avoided arrest last week after paying $100,500 bail and agreeing to drink no alcohol, wear a SCRAM bracelet, which monitors alcohol consumption of the wearer, and submit to weekly random drug tests.

An arrest warrant was issued after Lindsay was unable to get back to Los Angeles for her bail hearing because she had her passport stolen.

However, it has been alleged the actress enjoyed several glasses of red wine on Saturday, May 22, as she took a British Airways flight to London to catch an ongoing flight to the US.

Judge Marsha Revel, who issued the warrant, will not be in court today because she is on vacation. She will be replaced by another judge.

Kate Moss’s home has flooded with sewage, causing $144,000 worth of damage.

The supermodel, who recently repainted some walls in her north London property with Farrow and Ball paint at great expense, was devastated to discover her home 18 inches deep in putrid water over the weekend after a pump in her basement burst, causing at least $144,000 worth of damage.

Her kitchen, sitting room and outside decking have all been ruined, as well as much of her furniture and a number of items of clothing.

A source said, “Trouble started following heavy rains at the beginning of May and culminated in her basement flooding and the pump system clogging up. Kate is absolutely devastated. Her house is a complete disaster zone, with mud, gunge and sewage everywhere.”

Kate, 36, is now thought to be staying with friends, but she may move to the Dorchester Hotel in Mayfair if repairs at her property cannot be completed soon.

This is not the first piece of bad luck to have hit the supermodel’s home.

Last week, her house was burgled while she was asleep in the property with boyfriend Jamie Hince and daughter Lila Grace.

A spokesperson said, “They got in by climbing over the back fence but fled after disturbing someone who woke up. There is a possibility that they had inside knowledge of the house’s layout.”

Sir Elton John can’t cook.

The legendary British performer is hapless in the kitchen and leaves his partner David Furnish, who he married four years ago, to prepare most of their meals when they are at home together.

David said, “I’m probably the chef of the two of us, though I don’t really get chance anymore as I’m always traveling.

“Elton doesn’t cook. Don’t ask him questions about cooking, he won’t know what to say.”

The couple eat out regularly, but David admitted sometimes the ‘Your Song’ hitmaker’s lack of prowess in the kitchen can still interfere with their plans for the evening.

He explained to BANG Showbiz, “There was one funny incident recently – we went to a Japanese restaurant in January and we both ordered dishes you had to cook yourself, but Elton didn’t realise, so he just sat there panic stricken.”

The couple have been together for 16 years but the Canadian filmmaker says they love to keep the romance alive with special gifts.

David said, “I like to surprise him with little things from time to time. Art especially.”

Olivia Newton-John isn’t a generous tipper.

The ‘Grease’ star begrudges leaving a lot of cash to restaurant staff because she believes they expect money regardless of how good their service has been.

However, when it comes to workers in other jobs she is happy to dip deep into her purse.

She said, “I’m always conscious about leaving something, especially for the maid at a hotel. They appreciate it more. Whereas, in restaurants I’m not an extravagant tipper. I think they expect it, no matter how good they are, and that’s not right.”

Although Olivia always considers how much she tips, she is not concerned with how much money she has and thinks wealth, or a lack of it, can have a very negative influence on people.

She told The Sunday Telegraph newspaper, “As you get older you realize you actually need a lot less materially in your life. My most treasured possessions are not things; my friends, family and animals are what counts.

“I don’t attach too much importance on money. I don’t judge people by how much they do or do not have. I think there can be a lot of jealousy attached to money.”
