Claudia Schiffer has named her baby Cosima Violet Vaughn Drummond.

The German supermodel gave birth to her new daughter on May 14 at London’s Portland Hospital and now she and her film producer husband Matthew Vaughn have decided on a moniker for their new arrival.

Claudia’s publicist told Welt Online, “Her name is Cosima Violet Vaughn Drummond. Both mother and child are fine.”

Claudia and Cosima have now left hospital and are back at home.

The couple – who have two other children, seven-year-old son Caspar and five-year-old daughter Clementine, wanted to wait until “the whole family met the newborn” before they announced her name to the world.

Cosima is an Italian name derived from the Greek word kosmos which means “order or decency”. In the 2007 book ‘The Baby Names Bible’, written by Pamela Redmond Satran and Linda Rosenkrantz, it was described as a fashionable name for the daughters of members of high society in the UK.

Although she lives in England, Claudia recently revealed she wants to spend some time in her native Germany with her family when Matthew is working on the new ‘X-Men’ movie.

The catwalk beauty – who married Matthew in 2002 – said, “I would like to move to Berlin with Matthew and the kids for a few months. If we’re lucky he’ll be shooting some of ‘X-Men’ in Berlin. I would love that. Berlin is like being abroad in Germany. It’s German, but not provincial. Everyone loves it. My friends often tell me how very German I still am.”

Kate Winslet has injured herself playing basketball.

The 34-year-old actress was left badly bruised following the accident, which she sustained while playing with her children, Mia, nine, and Joe, six – and filming on her new five-hour long mini-series ‘Mildred Pierce’ has been suspended as a result.

A source told the New York Post newspaper, “She fell after being hit by a basketball and suffered bruising that couldn’t be covered with make-up, so the entire production was halted on Monday, May 24.”

A representative for the Oscar-winning star confirmed the accident but added she is “fine”.

Earlier this year, Kate announced she was separating from her husband of six years Sam Mendes and was reported in March to be ready to move back to the UK after a period of living in New York with the film director.

A source said, “Kate really wants to leave the apartment. She feels it is tainted.”

Ronan Keating has been kicked out of his marital home.

The Boyzone singer, who separated from his wife Yvonne last week following revelations of an affair with backing dancer Francine Cornell, was told to leave his $3.6 million home north of Dublin, Ireland, after he flew in from Switzerland, where he had been performing solo shows.

A source close to the Irish star told the Daily Mirror newspaper, “Ronan is praying the separation is only that and doesn’t translate into a divorce. He is desperate to make amends.”

He is also said to have dismissed suggestions Francine was anything more than a casual relationship.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, he told friends, “She meant nothing – it was just a fling and a mistake.

“It’s cost me the thing most dear to me in the world. I’ve wrecked everything. I just hope it’s not too late.”

Meanwhile, Yvonne is said to be considering forgiving her cheating husband, but is going to make him sweat until Christmas time.

A source told The Sun newspaper, “It will take up to six months but they’ll get there. She will not tolerate any more nonsense now and he will have to earn her trust all over again.

“It will be on her terms and she is likely to ask him to cut down on his hectic workload and devote more time to his family.”

Ronan, 33, has now taken the couple’s three children, Jack, 11, Marie, nine, and Ali, four, on a trip to the exclusive K Club in County Kildare, Ireland, where he was spotted playing golf flanked by minders.

Joe Jonas has split from Demi Lovato.

The Jonas Brothers singer, who has previously dated singer Taylor Swift and actress Camilla Belle, has decided to end his relationship with the actress but insists the break-up is amicable.

Joe, 20, said, “Demi and I knew going into our romantic relationship that it may not be an easy one. I realise over the time we have shared together that I feel I care more about our friendship right now. It was my choice to break-up, but I love her as a friend. It had been reported, Demi, who met Joe on the set of ‘Camp Rock’ in 2007 and began dating him earlier this year, was dumped by Joe over the phone but she insists that didn’t happen.

The 17-year-old beauty tweeted, “There are so many crazy rumours flying around today. Joe and I did split, but it wasn’t over the phone. Things didn’t work out but we’ll remain friends.”

Sarah Jessica Parker was so nervous about her red carpet dress for the world premiere of ‘Sex and the City 2′ she could barely sleep.

She said, “I think if fans expect me to be this dressed up in my everyday life, they’re going to be very disappointed. I own a lot of flats!”

Following the premiere of the movie sequel, the main stars – Sarah Jessica, Cynthia, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis – headed to a Middle Eastern-themed party where they feasted on hummus and chicken and beef kabobs.

Former ‘Melrose Place’ star Colin Egglesfield, who was at the party, admitted he was hoping to meet Kim because he thought she was the perfect woman.

The ‘Break the Ice’ superstar is reportedly obsessed with cryogenic freezing technology, and wants her body preserved in liquid nitrogen after her death.

A friend of Britney’s said, “Britney gets these obsessions and this is the latest. It started when someone told her Walt Disney had been preserved by cryogenics to be revived in the future.

“It got her researching and she became convinced it was worth a shot.”

The 28-year-old singer reportedly spent all of her Mother’s Day trip to Disneyland researching cryogenics on the internet as a nanny took her boys around the theme park, and she is even hoping to invest a chunk of her fortune – currently controlled by her father Jamie Spears – on the life-reviving technology.

The source added to The Sun newspaper, “Jamie is quite happy to let Britney have her little obsession. And if she wants to invest her money in cryogenics that’s fine, we’re only talking around $350,000 maximum. “However, much more than that and he may change his mind.”

The socialite admits she had a consultation with a doctor to have her “worst feature” altered, but decided not to go through with the procedure after seeing mock pictures of what she would look like.

She said, “But what’s funny is about my nose, it’s my biggest insecurity. I always want to get my nose done. … I went to a doctor, I had them take the pictures, he showed me what it would look like and it just didn’t– It– I wouldn’t look the same.”

The brunette beauty also spoke about posing naked for adult publication Playboy in December 2007, admitting she felt “uncomfortable”, despite expecting to feel “empowered” by the photoshoot.

Lindsay Lohan’s father is “in favour” of the actress having to wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet.

Michael Lohan, who has repeatedly claimed the ‘Mean Girls’ star is addicted to prescription drugs, supports the bail conditions imposed on his daughter by a Beverly Hills court yesterday, May 24, which see her having to wear the SCRAM device, attend alcohol education classes and submit to random drug testing.

He told Life and Style magazine, “I’m in favour of anything that keeps my daughter out of jail and helps her with her substance-abuse problem.

“I still contend that the prescription drugs are her major problem.”

Lindsay is also required to remain in Los Angeles under the conditions of her probation, despite attempts from her lawyer to have the restrictions changed so she can work.

Her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley asked Judge Marsha Revel, “I’d like to make the court aware of a couple of things and an alternate suggestion. Miss Lohan has a number of upcoming photo shoots and she’ll be continuing to film a movie in Texas. The SCRAM device would interfere with all of that. Miss Lohan is not, however, getting out of being monitored. For that reason, our alternative suggestion is that she be randomly tested for drugs and alcohol.”

However, the judge ruled, “She needs to submit to random drug testing here, not in Texas. I want no excuse for her to say it’s random when it’s not… I’m afraid she’s going to have to delay filming for now.”

A formal hearing to determine if the 23-year-old star has violated her probation, which she was placed on following her second driving under the influence (DUI) conviction in 2007, has been scheduled for July 6.

If she is found in breach of the terms, Lindsay – who is expected to face at least five drug tests before then – could be jailed for 180 days.

Despite her weight battles, Hayden has previously confessed that she loves to wander around her house in the nude and doesn’t mind if her roommate sees her naked.
