Actor Charlie Sheen is expected to plead “no contest” to a misdemeanor on June 7th and be sentenced to 30 days in jail, beginning the same day.

Sheen was charged in relation to an incident where he allegedly assaulted and threatened wife Brooke Mueller. Although the sentence is expected to be 30 days, the actor will probably end up serving between 15 and 17 days in the slammer if he’s a good boy. A source told Us Magazine that the actor preferred jail time to probation:

“Sheen and his people are worried that if he were to get into more trouble that he’d almost surely go to prison,” the source said. “By taking responsibility for what he did in Aspen, and agreeing to a no-probation resolution, he’ll be able to sleep a little easier. Compared to prison, the jail in Aspen is a far more attractive option.”

Richard Cummins, Sheen’s attorney, reportedly requested that the actor be allowed smoking breaks while at the big house, but that won’t be allowed. Reps for Sheen declined comment on the situation.

Sir Paul McCartney has been left “shaken up” after a gang attacked his tour bus.

The 67-year-old star had to be rescued by police in Mexico after the youths surrounded his vehicle and jumped up and down on the roof after a concert at the Foro Sol stadium in Mexico City on Saturday, May 29.

A source said, “At first his security team thought it was just swarms of fans but when people started scaling the bus, the situation changed in a flash. Paul and the team were shaken up.”

According to reports, the troublemakers left the scene as soon as they heard police sirens.

The singer’s management team are now reviewing his security.

Paul recently admitted he is happy to carry the “weight” of fame.

He said, “Fame can get pretty annoying but now I have rules, I’ve finally grown up and finally realised I’ve got rights. I’m happy to talk to people on a one to one human basis but the minute they turn me into this celebrity that I’m pretending not to be for that minute, I sort of say no, I’m not going to do that.

“I will just go shopping or go to the movies on my own, and I like that. It is very much a balancing part of my life.”

She said, “Having my boy and now the twins, life is delightful. When I used to come to London, my first stop was Harvey Nichols, but now it’s all about Hamleys toy shop. That store is amazing!

“The girls couldn’t be more different. One is constantly looking around and reaching out, the other is very serious and slightly aloof.”

The eccentric ‘Telephone’ singer was booked to stay in London’s upmarket Dorchester hotel with her entourage, but after her staff checked in, she amazed onlookers by returning to her tour bus with her bodyguard, where they drove to a nearby Tesco supermarket and spent the night in the vehicle.

A source said, “It was really bizarre. All Gaga’s luggage – about 20 laminated boxes and suitcases – were dropped off at the Dorchester and her crew at about 3am.

“And 15 minutes later, the driver, one of her entourage and Gaga’s security guy got back on the bus and drove off, hitting the West Cromwell Road Tesco at about 3.30am.

“They went down a ramp to park and Gaga got them to turn off the ignition and bedded down for the night.”

The star, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, was later treated to breakfast in her bus, before heading off to start work for the day.

The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper, “Seven hours later at 10.30am , a Mercedes SLK arrived, as well as a silver people carrier bringing a bag of shopping.

“Her guard slipped her out of the bus and into the Mercedes. Both the cars drive off, with Gaga heading to a recording studio.”

Russell Brand and Katy Perry don’t want any wedding presents.

The British comedian and the ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer are due to tie the knot in October but aren’t expecting any gifts from their guests because they are fortunate to be able to afford most things they want.

He said, “Given that Katy and I both have good jobs, we don’t want any presents. It would be a massive indulgence.”

As well as forgoing a wedding registry, the ‘Get Him to the Greek’ actor doesn’t want his friends to throw him a bachelor party because he no longer drinks or takes drugs.

He said, “What would be the point? I’m not drinking, don’t do drugs anymore and I only sleep with Katy, so it would be more fun to just sit in an allotment and stare at a bunch of carrots.”

Washington DC trumpet player Anthony Harley, better known as “Little Benny,” has died at the age of 46.

Harley was influential in developing the “go-go” style of funk popular in the region:

The result was an incessant beat — a genre of funk featuring conga drums, cow bells and call-and-response chants brought to life by an engaging bandleader — that gained widespread attention in the late 1970s with Brown’s “Bustin’ Loose,” the first go-go hit.

Little Benny and his band, Rare Essence, are said to have helped define the style of music pioneered by R&B artist Chuck Brown:

“When you look at go-go from a historical standpoint, Little Benny, he stands out as one of the founding fathers,” said Kato Hammond, the founder and editor of a magazine about the go-go scene. “Chuck Brown laid the foundation, but Rare Essence — and Benny was part of it during that time — built the house.”

Harley left Rare Essence in the 80s to form Little Benny and the Masters. After that, he played with Proper Utensils, and reformed several times with members of Rare Essence. He’d been playing with Brown recently, including a Capitol Heights show the night before his death.

According to his friend and former business partner Keith Galloway, “Little Benny” died in his sleep. Cause of death is not yet known.

The Australian pop star – whose previous boyfriends include Olivier Martinez, Michael Hutchence and James Gooding – has a furious row with long-term partner Andres Velencoso Segura last week after she accused him of not being supportive during the release of her latest studio album ‘Aphrodite’.

A source said, “’They had a massive row on Wednesday of last week, at the end of which he told her it was over.

“It seems to be the same old story as has plagued many of Kylie’s relationships. She worries that she is not worthy of her lover’s affection – especially, as has happened this time and in the past, if she is dating a hot young male model.”

Their massive row is said to be the latest in a series of spats the 42-year-old star has had with her 32-year-old Spanish lover.

The source added to the Daily Mail newspaper, “She and Andres had been bickering for a few days. She got quite critical of him, complaining he was not supporting her enough.

“Andres had enough. He told her it was over, that he did not need that kind of stress in his life.”

However, Kylie is said to be determined to fight for the romance and while on a promotional tour of Europe, made sure she got in touch with Andres to talk about their problems.

The source said, “She’s desperate to patch things up.”

Discussing her long-term boyfriend recently, Kylie confessed she was in a “happy” place.

She said, “I’m in a very happy, romantic place and Andres is so level-headed and easygoing. It’s enjoyable. He’s a good socialiser – which is good for me, because I could easily do my work, which involves so many people, then go home and stay home. I’m so boring.”

Celine, 42, says she will follow her doctor’s advice to make to ensure the healthy arrival of her babies, who are due in November.

She told newspaper Le Journal de Montreal: “I do almost nothing. If you tell me I have to stay in bed, I will stay in bed until November, when the babies are born. To bring them into the world, there’s nothing more important than that.”

After an agonizing wait to have more children, Celine admits she was living on her nerves every time they visited medical experts.

She said, “My doctor had to constantly reassure me…Each week I had sonograms. I heard their heart beats.”

“It’s stressful but I’m relaxing. I look at my little belly.”
