Robert Pattinson Advised by Dad

Robert Pattinson gets dating advice from his dad.

The ‘Twilight Saga’ actor, who is dating his co-star Kristen Stewart, admits his father Richard loves to give him tips on how to be a perfect gentleman.

Discussing an email sent to him by his dad, he said, “He sends me these great things, I got one the other day. I’m sorry to do this, but I thought it was so sweet… He always phrases these emails in a very formal way. He’s like, ‘Dear Rob, I’ve been thinking about gestures and a good one in my opinion is to kiss a lady’s hand. It’s very romantic and refined. Offer her hand ostensibly to kiss… Shake and then the kiss. I impressed your mother that way.’ ”

While the 24-year-old hunk gave away his father’s secrets on how to impress women, Richard blushed from the audience at the ‘Tonight Show with Jay Leno’.

Robert then embarrassed his father further by announcing his advice on how to accept an Academy Award graciously without looking “vulgar”.

Reading another note, Robert laughed, “Dear Rob, I was thinking last night about Yves Montand, the great French actor. And I thought about his elegant way of acknowledging the audience at an Oscar ceremony by gripping his wrist with one hand and raising both arms aloft… I know I’ve mentioned this before, but the reason I was thinking about it was because I watched a program last night on TV featuring some current celebrities here and I was shocked by how vulgar they were.”

Leona Lewis’ Treasure Chest Cocktails For Her Entourage

Leona Lewis treated her entourage to $10,400 worth of drinks in one evening.

The ‘Run’ singer splashed out on strong Treasure Chest cocktails with 20 members of her staff at London’s Mahiki club on Monday night, June 14, following her headline show at the city’s O2 arena.

An onlooker told the Daily Star newspaper, “Leona likes to have the odd glass of champagne but she’s not a massive drinker. But it was the first time she’s headlined the O2 and, as London girl, she had all her family and friends out and wanted to celebrate properly.”

The 25-year-old star was given her own area in the exclusive bar and was seen chatting to ‘Glee’ actor Matthew Morrison, who plays teacher Will Schuester in the hit US TV series.

The source added, “Leona had her own VIP area and was sat chatting to Matt. Everyone had a wild time.”

Leona recently admitted she prefers drinking energy drinks such as Red Bull when she goes out because she hates the taste of alcohol.

She said, “I don’t drink. I haven’t for years it tastes like hairspray to me – I can have a great time without alcohol. I don’t need that to get me up on the dancefloor, I’m there already. I’ll sometimes have a little Red Bull. That’s my little buzz.”

Lindsay Lohan’s Spotlight Struggle

Lindsay Lohan’s ex-boyfriend believes her problems are due to her fame.

British model Calum Best admits he is concerned about the ‘Mean Girls’ actress’ recent struggles, which includes her having to wear an alcohol-monitoring SCRAM bracelet and her father Michael Lohan alleging she is addicted to prescription drugs, and believes she would be able to recover if she took time out of the spotlight.

Calum, who dated Lindsay for several months in 2007, told BANG Showbiz, “I wish her the best and she’s a lovely girl but the problem is sometimes people who are that famous get so hounded and stuck in the limelight that they don’t get a minute to breathe and it can be really overpowering.”

Despite feeling sorry for his former lover, Calum has no plans to meet up with her when he goes to the US later this summer as he thinks she would be a bad influence on his new lifestyle.

Speaking at the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy 5 mobile phone at London’s Altitude bar, he added, “I won’t be catching up with Lindsay. I’m moving onwards and trying to get on with my own life.

“I’m laying low and staying out of the nightclub scene that kind of screwed my life up. It’s all getting better now.

“I’m trying to come back strong and make myself and my family proud.”

Tupac and Biggie reunited at Madame Tussaud’s for Pac’s birthday

Wax figures of murdered rappers Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G. are being posed together at Madame Tussauds in Washington DC begining today, which would have been Pac’s 39th birthday, had he lived.

Tupac was 25 and Biggie 24 when the rappers were gunned down in separate drive-by shootings in 1996 and 1997, respectively. The two artists were once close friends, but a rivalry that escalated between the two after Pac survived a shooting in the lobby of a New York studio was not resolved before Pac’s murder in Las Vegas. Madame Tussauds released a statement today announcing the exhibit:

“Tupac and Biggie are widely recognized as two of the greatest hip-hop artists and rappers of all time. Their influence on and absence from the hip-hop community can still be felt today — more than a decade after their tragic deaths. At Madame Tussauds Washington D.C., their figures will be displayed together for the first time in the attraction’s Glamour Room.”

Biggie’s wax statue is on loan from the New York branch of Madame Tussauds, and is expected to chill in DC for three months. Below is a clip of one of Pac’s most enduring tracks, “Changes.”

Michael Jackson’s Brother Randy Hospitalized After Mild Heart Attack

Randy Jackson has been hospitalized with a suspected mild heart attack.

The 48-year-old singer, who is the brother of late ‘Thriller’ star Michael Jackson, was taken to the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena yesterday, June 15, and is said to be awaiting test results.

A source told the Mail Online, “It appears Randy has had a mild heart attack but he is OK.

“He was joking around with his father and he is feeling pretty good all things considered. He’s been under a tremendous amount of stress lately but Randy’s a fighter. He’ll pull through.”

Randy is believed to have been working on arrangements for a memorial service for his late brother Michael – who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June last year.

On Monday, June 14, Randy attended a Los Angeles courthouse with family including sister Janet Jackson for a hearing into the involuntary manslaughter case against Dr. Conrad Murray, the man accused of being involved in the ‘Billie Jean’ hitmaker’s death.

The star has also been playing a key role in arranging plans to allow fans to enter Forest Lawn Memorial Park, where Michael is buried, to pay tribute to the King of Pop on the anniversary of his death later this month.

Eminem: Couple of Hours Away From Death

Eminem was once “hours away” from death.

The ‘We Made You’ rapper, who has previously spoken about his battle with a prescription drug addiction, admits that he felt “weak” admitting to having a problem.

He said, “It took me awhile to admit I actually did have a problem. In the hip-hop world that I live in, it can be mistaken for weakness and the last thing you want to do in hip-hop is admit that you’re weak. But if I didn’t admit I was weak with this certain thing I was going to die.”

The 37-year-old star, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, struggled to answer how he would help someone who was suffering from the same problem as him.

He told US TV show ‘Showbiz Tonight’, “That’s a tough question. I don’t know how you avoid it. I mean, I could say the cliched things, make sure you stay on the right path, you make the right decisions in life. You know, fame is a funny thing, man, especially, you know, actors, musicians, rappers, rock singers, it’s kind of a lifestyle and it’s easy to get caught up in it – you go to bars, you go to clubs, everyone’s doing a certain thing… It’s tough.”

Eminem has previously admitted he turned to Sir Elton John for support when he wanted to overcome his addiction to painkillers.

He said, “I talk to Elton a lot. We became friends and I talk to him about things, career wise. And he had a substance abuse problem in the past. So when I first wanted to get sober, I called him and spoke to him about it because, he’s somebody who’s in the business and can identify and relate to the lifestyle.

“Me and him have had similar lives and stuff. So I reached out to him and told him, ‘Look, I’m going through a problem and I need your advice.’ “

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller’s Divorce Proceedings

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller have started divorce proceedings.

The couple, whose two-year union has been in trouble since the actor was arrested on Christmas Day, December 25, after allegedly assaulting Brooke – have signed a 41-page agreement, which details the settlement of their split including custody of their 15-month-old twin sons, Bob and Max.

While they will have joint legal custody, Brooke will be the primary carer while Charlie will have the children on the first, third and fifth weekends of each month.

According to the documents obtained by website TMZ, Brooke will receive a $757,689.70 lump sum and will also receive $55,000-a-month in child support.

Charlie also has two daughters, Sam, six, and five-year-old Lola, with ex-wife Denise Richards and the papers state that “under no circumstances shall the child support paid by Charlie for Bob and Max be less than the child support paid by Charlie to Denise Richards for Sam and Lola”.

Charlie, who also has a 25-year-old daughter Cassandra with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt, will keep the couple’s marital home but has to buy out Brooke for $1 million.

The document also stipulates Brooke is not permitted “to disclose to any media sources personal information relating to Sheen’s sexual affairs or alleged drug usage” and Charlie agrees to the same.

Since the alleged assault, both Brooke and Charlie have received treatment in rehab, while the 44-year-old actor had been accused of having an affair, something he denied.

It has now been revealed Brooke is to check back into rehab for 30 days after her attempts to get treatment for her alleged crack cocaine addiction at home failed.

Charlie is set to appear in court next month after his hearing was postponed, and he is expected to plead guilty to third-degree misdemeanour assault.

Katy Perry Couldn’t Afford Rent Before Becoming Famous

Katy Perry couldn’t afford to pay her rent before she was famous.

The ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer admits money was so tight before she was signed and released her first track, that she barely had enough money for life’s necessities.

She said, “I have really gone through an emotional rollercoaster, real hell, you know, I was so broke, I couldn’t even pay the rent at the end of the month. So I am glad I was strong enough to hang in there.”

The 25-year-old star, who is engaged to Russell Brand, first knew she wanted to become a pop star as a child, when her pastor father Keith Hudson would pay her to perform at his church or in family gatherings.

When asked what her upbringing was like, she revealed to Britain’s OK! magazine, “Pretty traditional. I grew up listening to gospel music and singing at church. My father used to give me $10, which was a lot of money for a 10-year-old girl, just for singing at church or at parties.

“So when I turned 15, I decided to pursue a singing career and ended up working in Nashville, Tennessee. It was an incredible experience.”

Late Bloomer Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher was a “late bloomer”.

The ‘Killers’ actor, who married Demi Moore in 2005 after two years of dating, insists he never felt strange becoming a stepfather to the actress’ daughters Rumer, 21, Scout, 18, and 16-year-old Tallulah, because he was used to people in his hometown having children at a young age.

The 32-year-old star said, “I’m from Iowa. People from Iowa get married when they’re like, 20, so I was kind of a late bloomer.”

Ashton, who admits he and Demi haven’t ruled out having a baby together, insists his family will always be his top priority.

He added in an interview with LOOK magazine, “Family is the most important thing. It’s the only thing you really get to leave behind in the end.

“I’ve been with my wife for seven years and we’ve had kids since the beginning – we take that really seriously.

“We’ve made a lot of sacrifices in our relationship to support them, so when I go on location sometimes Demi stays behind. It’s exciting to have a stable relationship and a stable career.”

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s Natural Kiss in Eclipse

Robert Pattinson says it felt “more natural” to kiss Kristen Stewart in ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’.

The heartthrob says the smooching scenes were easier in the third installment of the franchise because his vampire character Edward Cullen knows he will not “kill” Bella Swan, played by Kristen, by locking lips with her.

He told Parade.com, “Kissing felt a little bit more natural in ‘Eclipse’, even if there was plenty of it. In ‘New Moon’ and ‘Twilight’ it was always like, ‘Oh, I’m gonna kill you if I kiss you,’ or something. It was always kind of odd. But, in this one, they both understand their situation a lot more, which makes it easier. It’s the first time Kristen and I have been able to just act like a normal couple.”

Robert, 24, refused to confirm whether it was his rumoured real-life romance with Kristen, 20, that made their love scenes easier.

He coyly said, “I guess people like stories, that’s my basic conclusion. They just want everything in our lives to be like ‘Twilight’. The truth is… that I wish I had a few more hours of sleep today so I could think of a better answer. I’m always so exhausted all the time. Lack of sleep is like taking a Valium.”
