Nicole Richie’s Probation Extended To 2011

Nicole Richie’s probation has been extended.

The socialite, who was put on probation in 2006 following a driving under the influence (DUI) offense, after being arrested for driving the wrong way down a Los Angeles motorway and failing a sobriety test, was told it wouldn’t be terminated next month as expected, because she hasn’t attended enough alcohol education classes.

According to her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley, who appeared in a Los Angeles court yesterday, June 22, the 28-year-old starlet failed to complete the course because she has been too busy looking after her children Harlow, two, and nine-month-old Sparrow, her kids with her rocker fiance Joel Madden.

Her probation period has now been extended to March 2011, but the judge has promised to terminate it early if she completed the alcohol program before then.

Despite the extension, Nicole has been praised for her work on the course so far.

Her report states, “Her attitude is excellent.”

Nicole has previously admitted she will never forgive herself for her actions and can’t escape the thought she could have killed someone.

At the time of her arrest, she vowed to change her ways to become a better parent.

She said, “There’s absolutely no way I will do anything like that again. I never took life seriously before. I’m in a completely different place now. I have a responsibility now. I have to really be someone I want my child to look up to.”

Lady GaGa to Use Dead Bodies in Concerts

Lady Gaga plans to use dead bodies in her concerts.

The ‘Alejandro’ singer plans to team up with scientist Gunther Von Hagens, who is famous for his ‘Body Worlds’ exhibitions, which depicts preserved human corpses in various poses, to come up with a striking new vision for her ‘Monster Ball Tour’.

A source told The Sun newspaper, “She is fascinated by Gunther’s work and life and he has the kind of past she is drawn to.

“Gaga sees a kindred spirit and is hoping to meet him in New York.

“They’ve spoken over email and it’s gone well. She is keen to have some ‘Body Worlds’ element in one of her shows, with Las Vegas being the obvious fit. It would be good to top this tour – which is already out there – with something nobody has done before, using dead bodies as part of a concert.”

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old pop star shocked onlookers at New York strip joint HeadQuarters on Monday, June 21, by giving a lap dance to on/off boyfriend Matt Williams.

An onlooker told the New York Post newspaper, “She was wearing a transparent jumpsuit with a few carefully placed sequins over her nipples and private parts.

“Her and Matt smooched and groped to the point where several people suggested they rent a Champagne Room so she could give a private, versus public, lap dance.”

Gisele Bundchen Has Son Christened

Gisele Bundchen had her son christened yesterday, June 22.

The supermodel and her NFL quarterback husband Tom Brady, who wore matching navy outfits, invited friends and family to St. Monica’s church in Santa Monica, California, for the baptism of their six-month-old tot Benjamin.

After the service, the guests left the church – which was also where Tom and Gisele married last year – and celebrated with lunch at the beachfront hotel Casa del Mar, according to X17Online.

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old Brazilian beauty claims Benjamin is already potty trained.

According to Gisele, Benjamin uses the toilet after breastfeeding in the morning and afternoon after she consulted a parenting manual for tips.

She told Brazilian website Globo.com, “Give it about five minutes, and bang.”

Her sister Tia Patricia added, “Every time she calls me to see it, I say, ‘Do not want to see it.’ ”

Gisele is trying to teach Benjamin to use the potty early because she is trying to cut down on the tot’s use of diapers.

She explained, “Diapers pollute the environment. Where does this garbage go?”

Robert Pattinson Happy That Twilight Saga Is Almost Complete

Robert Pattinson is happy the ‘Twilight Saga’ is almost complete.

The British actor, who has become an international heartthrob for his role as vampire Edward Cullen in the hit movie franchise, admits working on the series can be “boring” and he is delighted he will soon finish work on the final installment, ‘Breaking Dawn’, which will be split into two films.

He said, “It can get a little boring. The good news is that the whole thing is done in seven months.”

The 24-year-old London born star, who is in a relationship with co-star Kristen Stewart, admits he still feels “bothered” by other people’s opinions of him and admits he is tired of reading about himself.

He added in an interview with The Times newspaper, “Kristen is better about dealing with photographers than I am. I’ve learnt to let it go a bit, but I’m still really bothered by it. The more you are exposed, the more people irrationally hate you, I think we reached a point a peak with ‘New Moon’ where the stories became so saturated into the culture that it started to feel normal. It’s like the tabloids don’t know what to write any more because they’ve used up all their scandals.”

Despite admitting he is bored by the films the actor recently expressed his delight at the latest installment of the series, ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’.

He enthused, “I’ve seen a very early cut. It’s good. It’s different. It’s really different, like, it’s kind of serious.

“All the kinds of fight scenes that are in ‘New Moon’… they’re real fights now in ‘Eclipse’. They’re not, like, fantasy things. It’s like a horror film!”

Dakota Fanning Quits Soccer After Scoring Own Goal

Dakota Fanning was left “traumatized” after she scored an own goal in a soccer match.

The 16-year-old actress, who can currently be seen playing evil Volturi vampire in ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ – was picked to be part of the school’s team but admits she wasn’t really a natural player.

She said, “I did play soccer and my team was called the Spice Girls, I was Baby Spice. I was playing in a game one day and I got the ball for the first time and I was so excited and I was running and running.

“There was nobody around me, I was thinking this is an easy game, then I kicked it into the goal and was so excited.

“I turned around and nobody was cheering for me and nobody was proud of me – and I then realised I’d kicked it in the wrong goal – so I quit soccer. I was traumatised!”

Although most of Dakota’s family are keen sportspeople, she says their enthusiasm and talent for it hasn’t rubbed off on her.

She said in an interview on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’, “My mum went to college on a full scholarship for tennis, my dad played minor-league baseball and my grandfather was a quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. So before I started acting the plan for me was to be a tennis player – that was the plan for me and my mum had me in tennis classes.

“One day I went to her and told her I really love the outfits but it’s just too hot – it’s just too hot for me to play tennis and I didn’t want to play anymore.”

Russell Brand Gets Noel Gallagher Inspiration

Russell Brand based his latest film character on Noel Gallagher.

The British funnyman plays arrogant and drug-addled womanizer Aldous Snow in new movie ‘Get Him to the Greek’ and says hearing stories from the former Oasis rocker gave him the inspiration he needed for the role.

He told this week’s ShortList magazine, “He tells you stories and you think, ‘Oh my God, you decadent lunatics.’

“Tales of when there was still money in the music industry and they were all carrying on. So there are no direct references, but Noel is someone I have in mind. Mostly because Noel Gallagher doesn’t care.

“Most people say, ‘Oh I don’t care what people think about me.’ He actually doesn’t. You’re like, ‘Don’t say that! You’ll ruin everything you’ve worked for,’ and he’s like, ‘Don’t f**king care, say what I want.’

“The way he sees it, as long as he can play guitar, people will always give him 10 quid and he’ll be all right.”

Russell, who is engaged to singer Katy Perry, says he loved playing Aldous because it gave him the chance to show off his inner rock star.

He added, “Yeah, it was like sanctioning a part of yourself you’re always embarrassed about. Part of you thinks, ‘I could be a rock star, couldn’t I? Let me prove that by dancing along to Deep Purple.’

“It sanctions that kind of conduct, which normally takes place in bathrooms, like all good masturbation should. But it felt good, it was a good exercise for me.”

Michael Jackson’s Kids Coping Well After His Death

Michael Jackson’s children are “coping well” as the first anniversary of their father’s death approaches.

The ‘Thriller’ singer died of acute Propofol intoxication on June 25 aged 50 and while his three kids – Prince Michael, 13, 12-year-old Paris and eight-year-old Prince Michael II, known as Blanket – still miss their father terribly, they are continuing to move on with their lives.

Dieter Wiesner, who managed Michael from 1996 to 2003, said, “It’s obvious their world has completely changed after Michael’s death. It’s still a difficult situation but they’re coping well. Blanket and Paris are quite outgoing, Prince is rather quiet.”

The children are currently being looked after by Michael’s mother Katherine Jackson but Dieter worries what will happen when their grandmother eventually passes away.

He told Germany’s Gala magazine, “They’re being taken care of. Katherine is a good-hearted woman.

“But as far as I know it hasn’t been decided what will happen when Katherine can’t do it anymore. Let’s put it this way – it could become a huge contentious issue within the family. A lot of things are still in the open.”

Katherine recently revealed the children are to start school in September in the hope they can make some friends of their own age.

She said, “They don’t have any friends. They don’t go to school, they have private lessons at home – but that will change in September, when they are due to enrol at private college. But they have their cousins and aunts and uncles around them constantly, and that’s helped them immensely.

“To them, it’s normal, it’s the life they have known. They have a certain time to go to bed, then they get up and get dressed for lessons. They practise karate and swim, which they love.”
