The fake celebrity death circuit has returned to old territory with a new Britney Spears dead rumor doing the rounds today.

According to one version of the Britney Spears dead rumors doing the rounds, she was killed five years ago and is currently being played by a body double….yeah, we never said these rumors make sense.

The resurfacing of the Britney Spears dead rumors though may actually be related to other news: about a month ago Britney announced that when she died, she wanted her body cryogenically frozen, so she can be bought back to life when the technology is there to save her. OK, that’s nearly as nuts as the death rumor, but we can at least confirm this story.

I am not a Harry Potter fan by any stretch of the imagination and haven’t seen one of the movies or read one of the books but I might have to reconsider after looking at this trailer (probably by morning my sanity will return). The 26-year-old pop star is set to appear in long-running British comic

The Beano as a singing sidekick to bad girl character Minnie the Minx.

And Cheryl is not the only famous face making an appearance in the publication’s pages, England soccer player Wayne Rooney is also set to appear in a number of issues.

A Beano spokesman said, “Minnie the Minx will be meeting Cheryl and Wayne in a run of stories which will coincide with the school summer holidays.

“They are both hugely popular with readers and I’m sure they’ll be thrilled at the prospect of them coming face to face with a British institution, in the shape of Minnie.”

Cheryl, 26, will perform a duet with Minnie, while Wayne, 24, will do battle with her on the pitch.

Publishers DC Thomson are believed to have been inspired to feature Cheryl after seeing her in an Alexander McQueen-designed red-and-black striped outfit – the same colours red-haired Minnie wears – in the video for her hit single ‘Fight for This Love’.

Lindsay Lohan is to star in a new reality TV show.

The troubled actress, who currently has to wear an alcohol-monitoring SCRAM bracelet as part of her probation for her 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) arrest, will appear in the as-yet-untitled show alongside mother Dina and her three siblings.

Dina told the New York Post newspaper, “We have already started filming. The cameras follow us in our daily lives and as we promote our businesses. I want to prove that we are a good, hardworking family and we don’t have the crazy lives that some people claim we do.

“The show will feature my kids, and Lindsay will also appear in some episodes, although she’s very busy filming and promoting her fashion lines. We’re discussing a deal with a major network.”

While the programme will feature most of the family, Lindsay’s estranged father Michael, who is divorced from Dina, will not appear.

This is not time the Lohan family have appeared in front of reality TV cameras.

In 2008 ‘Living Lohan’ – which mainly focused on Lindsay’s 16-year-old sister Ali’s attempts to break into showbusiness, aired for nine episodes and Dina claimed to have turned down a second series because of the producers’ demands.

She said, “They wanted us to do these crazy things, like my son cheating on his girlfriend, me faking a pregnancy. I was like, ‘No, no, no! They had ideas that weren’t conducive to our ideas.”

Mel Gibson knocked his ex-girlfriend’s teeth out during a violent row, it has been claimed.

Oksana Grigorieva filed for a restraining order against the 54-year-old actor last week and though the exact details of the document are being kept hidden, friends of the Russian singer – who has an eight-month-old daughter, Lucia, with Mel – say she took legal action in a bid to protect herself.

One pal told gossip website TMZ, “She tried to protect the baby during one of Gibson’s violent episodes when he punched Oksana in the face two times, breaking her teeth and giving her a concussion.

“The true facts will be brought out in a court of law. Oksana will continue to abide by the ethical obligations and rules arising from a confidential paternity action and will let the court decide the issue in this matter.”

Though Oksana hasn’t commented on the speculation her former partner was violent, she has claimed the ‘Passion of the Christ’ star is not giving her any money towards the upkeep of their daughter.

She said, “He is not paying me a penny. Nothing. I am having to live on credit cards and borrowed money. It is not a good situation.”

The 40-year-old beauty also hit out at reports claiming the actor filed a restraining order against her, insisting she wanted their split handled “with dignity”.

She told the Mail On Sunday newspaper, “There is no restraining order against me, but my lawyers went to court and a judge granted a restraining order against him.

“There are so many lies being said about me. I was trying to keep things dignified and be respectful to the father of my daughter, but what he is doing is cruelty.

“The truth will come out eventually. There are custody issues. What is happening to me is not fair.”

Oksana and Mel separated in April, but the singer – who has a 12-year-old son Alexander with actor Timothy Dalton – insists she ended their relationship.

She added, “He didn’t dump me, I left him. I rescued my children and myself.”

Mel’s spokesperson has declined to comment on his ex-girlfriend’s claims, but friends of the star insist he was never violent towards her.

Sienna Miller and Jude Law are reportedly planning their wedding together.

The couple, who have been dating for the past eight months after rekindling their romance, are seemingly set to tie the knot this summer in France.

The pair have previously been engaged but ended their relationship in 2005 after it was revealed Jude was having an affair with his children’s nanny, Daisy Wright. They got back together in October last year and are now set to say “I do”.

A source told website Mail Online, “After all this time and such a long and rocky history together, they want a low-key wedding. Jude and his parents really want the wedding to be held in the French countryside, so that is what is being discussed at the moment.

“Jude and Sienna just want to be married and start their life together.”

Sienna has been spotted walking around Vaudelnay in the Loire Valley, where Jude’s parents live, holding a “wedding file”.

However, Jude’s ex-wife Sadie Frost – the mother of three of his children, Rafferty, Iris and Rudy – is said to be angry about their plans, because Sienna is making arrangements for the kids to have roles without consulting her.

A source said, “There are many things that Sadie is cross about at the moment. Sienna is making all these plans for Sadie’s children to be part of the wedding party, she wants them to be bridesmaids and pageboys.

“Sadie feels cut out of it all. She won’t be at the wedding, for obvious reasons, but it’s upsetting that she is not even being made a part of the plans for her own children.”

A popular Mexican singer publicly denied rumors of his murder, only to be murdered hours later in Sinaloa.

Sergio Vega, known as “El Shaka,” was driving his red Cadillac Saturday night when a truck began pursuing the vehicle. It pulled up alongside Vega’s car, and the singer was shot, causing him to crash the vehicle. Gunmen then approached the injured Vega and shot him in the chest and head. Oddly, just hours before, Vega had denied internet gossip that he’d been killed:

Just hours before he was shot Mr Vega was interviewed for an article on entertainment website La Oreja, in which he confirmed he was still alive. “It’s happened to me for years now, someone tells a radio station or a newspaper I’ve been killed, or suffered an accident,” Mr Vega told the website. “And then I have to call my dear mum, who has heart trouble, to reassure her,” he explained.

Vega, 40, was known for singing “narcocorridors”- ballads centering around the drug trade in Mexico. Vega was the seventh artist known in that genre to have been killed in Mexico over the past three years.

One of Michael Jackson’s gloves has sold at auction for $190,000.

The crystal-studded garment, which was worn by the ‘King of Pop’ on his 1984 ‘Victory’ tour, sold for 10 times more than its pre-sale estimate.

Winning bidder Wanda Kelley said, “I wasn’t walking out of here without that glove.”

The sale was part of an auction of more than 200 pieces of Michael Jackson memorabilia at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas on Friday, June 25, to mark the first anniversary of the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker’s death.

Totaling just under $1 million, the auction also saw a pair of the singer’s loafers, which he wore while performing, sell for $90,000.

Darren Julien, of Julien’s Auctions, explained, “It just shows you Michael Jackson is the most sought after and most collectible celebrity of all time. It was just phenomenal.

“People flew in from Asia, Russia, all over. Now he’s gone, we now realise the true legend we lost.”

In November 2009, one of Jackson’s iconic white gloves sold for $350,000 at auction, with Hong Kong businessman Hoffman Ma picking up the rhinestone studded item for well over its estimated value of $50,000.

Brown, who has struggled professionally since the whole Rihanna beat-down incident, has not performed at such a high-profile level since his arrest. The LA Times speculates that he may have been putting it on for sympathy:

Chris Brown’s performance at the BET Awards was his first major music gig in a long time. He was picked to perform because he’s widely considered to be a protégé of Michael Jackson’s and there was enormous curiosity over how he’d do — and be greeted by the audience — when he took the stage. If his career is truly over, he might not get a chance like this again to gain sympathetic attention.

Kristen Stewart says premieres make her hyper.

The ‘Twilight’ actress says after she has attended a glitzy event she feels full of energy and can’t switch off from the excitement of the red carpet.

Speaking at the premiere of her new movie ‘Welcome to the Rileys’, Kristen told People, “By the end of the day I actually get really hyper, because it’s then that I have my own time.”

The 20-year-old star, who plays Bella Swan in the ‘Twilight’ films, also revealed premieres mess up her sleep pattern.

She added, “You end up staying up all night and then screwing your morning the next day because you need time to yourself.”

As well as missing much-needed rest, the red carpet is also taking its toll on her feet.

She joked, “I feel like my feet are really p***ed off at me, just because of the shoes. That’s the biggest problem.”
