Peter Andre thought he was “dying” when he collapsed last week.

The ‘Behind Closed Doors’ singer was left crippled with chest pains while out jogging near his home in East Grinstead, West Sussex, England, and he feared he was having a heart attack.

Peter, who was eventually diagnosed with a torn ligament said, “I had a massive health scare last week after suffering from severe chest pains while I was out for a run. I’d only been running for about 10 minutes when I suddenly had the most excruciating, stabbing pains in my chest.

“I couldn’t breathe properly and immediately thought I was having a heart attack, it was that bad. I thought I was dying!

“Thankfully, when the medics arrived, they did tests immediately and deduced that I’d probably torn a ligament in my chest and that was what was causing the pain. Apparently the feeling you get when this happens is very similar to a heart attack so they totally understood why I was so terrified.”

The 37-year-old star refused to accompany paramedics to hospital, but was later forced to visit a medical facility and has been told he now needs to rest for a lengthy period so the injury can fully heal.

Writing in his column for new! magazine, he added, “They wanted to take me to hospital straight away to be monitored. By that point, though, I was keen to just rest at home so I stayed put. With hindsight, I should have taken their advice as I ended up going in later that day to get more painkillers.

“It’s just a case of resting for a few weeks now and hopefully the ligament will heal.”

The 27-year-old singer, who tied the knot with ice hockey player Mike Fisher in a lavish ceremony on Saturday, July 10, wanted all her 200 guests at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia, to feel comfortable before the ceremony and so ensured all the hotel’s relaxation facilities, including a peaceful reading room, a pool and a manicurist, were available for them to use.

A source said, “Carrie really wanted to make sure that her guests had a great time and were pampered while they were here.”

Carrie – who wore a Chantilly lace Monique Lhuillier gown – and Mike, 30, also ensured their menu appealed to all their guests, with catering having a “southern flavour”.

One waiter at the bash revealed, “The wedding was gorgeous. The food had a Southern flavour and there were delicious cupcakes.

“There was a lot of eating and a lot of drinking. It was a big party!”

Despite the couple’s wedding, which cost a rumoured $500,000, being attended by celebrity guests including Simon Cowell, fellow revellers insist everyone was down to earth.

One guest told Us Weekly magazine, “No one had a trace of attitude… Everyone was super friendly.

“It wasn’t one of those crazy weddings you hear about in Hollywood. It was a nice party for a nice couple.”

Christina Milian and The-Dream have split.

The ‘AM to PM’ singer and the rapper, who got married in September 2009 and have five-month-old daughter Violet together, admitted their relationship ended several months ago but have only announced their decision after The-Dream was spotted canoodling on the beach with another woman.

His spokesperson said, “Terius ‘The-Dream’ Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet. Recently, The-Dream admitted he finds it hard to spend one-on-one time with the tot because of how close Christina and Violet are.

He said, “Christina’s very attached. She doesn’t let anybody near that baby. Not even me sometimes!”

He also confessed to not being a very hands-on father as he relies on lots of other people to help out.

He said, “I don’t help out because my ‘helping out’ turns into expectations. I’ll get Violet on a late night maybe one or two times, but after that, no. If Christina’s tired, call the nanny, call Violet’s granny. We got people.”

P. Diddy got turned away from his own party last week.

The music mogul, real name Sean Combs, was due to host a bash at New Jersey’s Atlantic City in celebration of Independence Day but was barred from getting into the event because security staff didn’t recognize him.

He tweeted, “The party was so crazy I couldn’t even get in. Ten thousand people showed up. Damn I was ready to party!”

However, according to one onlooker, the reason the ‘Hello Good Morning’ hitmaker didn’t make it into the bash was not because of the thousands of revelers who descended upon the event, but because the “dopey” doormen had no idea who he was.

The insider told Britain’s The Daily Mirror newspaper, “Some of the doormen were so dopey they didn’t recognize Diddy and refused to let him in – even though he was supposed to entertain the crowd.”

The rapper is known around the globe for his lavish parties.

In November 2009 he spent $3 million on a Garden of Eden-themed 40th birthday party.

Jay-Z, Nelly, U2 frontman Bono and actor Denzel Washington were just some of the 500 guests in attendance at the bash, which was held at New York’s Plaza Hotel.

Lindsay Lohan’s father is concerned about how her time in prison will affect her sister Ali.

Michael Lohan, who is estranged from his two daughters, admits he worries the 16 year old will end up being cared for by “Lindsay’s bimbo friends” when the ‘Mean Girls’ actress stars her 90-day jail sentence on July 20.

Explaining his decision to fly to Los Angeles for the 24-year-old star’s court hearing last week, he said, “I don’t think that anyone thought that Lindsay was going to go to jail except for me. I came out here because I knew it was a very, very possible thing. And my concern, at that point, was if Lindsay went to jail and Ali was with her and she’s only 16, who is she going to be with? Lindsay’s bimbo friends? So I had to be there.”

Michael was so worried about the teenager, who shares a Hollywood apartment with Lindsay, he even telephoned police from court last Tuesday, July 6, after Lindsay was sentenced to jail, followed by 90 days in rehab, for violating the probation of her 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) charge.

He explained in an interview with US TV show ‘Access Hollywood’, “I knew there was going to be an issue, so I went and called 911. I called the Beverly Hills Police Department. I said, listen, ‘I’m Michael Lohan; my daughter Lindsay is just getting sentenced to jail time; they might take her away and my 16 year old is going to be on her own. I’m her father and I don’t know the people she’s with… I want to take her with me and I’m afraid there’s going to be a problem.’ ”

Despite Lindsay’s impending sentence, it has emerged she could earn over $500,000 from her first interview about the case.

A source said, “The irony is Lindsay is in demand. The bidding is over $500,000 for the rights to the pre-jail interview, the prison diary and the first chat when she is released.”

However, the actress is confident her term inside will be reduced over the next few days and is visiting a psychic to help learn her fate.

The source added to the New York Post newspaper,”Lindsay is still convinced she’ll get a reduced term – even if she has to go to rehab afterwards for longer. She has spoken to a number of lawyers over the weekend. She’s even seeing a psychic for guidance.”

Angelina Jolie has agreed to marry Brad Pitt, if their children ask them.

She told The Sun newspaper, “We kind of joke about it because in the morning we’re so tired. And we always look at each other and wonder, ‘Are we ever gonna get sleep?’ Yet we still love the idea of having more children.”

Angelina, who is preparing for the release of her new movie ‘Salt’ next month, the first movie she has shot since being pregnant with the twins, admits the children were left unimpressed by the movie.

In the film, she plays tough CIA agent Evelyn Salt, who is on the run after being accused of being a spy and disguises herself by changing her hair colour to blonde.

She said, “They saw the trailer. Half of them were completely uninterested. Pax thought somebody was trying to hurt his mom. But I explained it was all fine. I think they’re very confused, to be honest.

“I don’t quite know what to think. Even the change of hair colour is confusing for them.”

Kylie Minogue finds it hard to deal with criticism.

The All The Lovers hitmaker, whose new album Aphrodite hit the top of the UK charts on Sunday, reveals she doesn’t like reading bad reviews but feels if the fans like her output, she will continue.

She said, “It cuts like a knife if I read a bad review. But in the end, how the album in received in the press won’t make any difference to me – I’d still come back.

“A few thousand people in a room sharing two or three hours together – when all the other stuff gets too complex to understand, that’s a really good place to bring it back to.”

The 42-year-old Australian also revealed she is pleased Lady Gaga has arrived on the pop scene, but she would never try and copy her.

She told Out magazine, “Lady Gaga dropped a meteor in the middle of the pop landscape – which is amazing.

“But it meant that we had to take that into account. It wouldn’t have made any sense to go down that road to try and fit in.”

Kylie recently revealed she was planning on doing a number of small gigs where she would play unknown and rare songs for her fans in London.

She said, “Something I’ve started to talk about a lot is the anti-concert – a two-week run in London. It would be somewhere like Ronnie Scott’s in Soho. I’d do all the songs that didn’t even make it on the album.

“Joni Mitchell had an album called Hits and Misses – I relate to that.”

Kelly Osbourne wants to play her mother in a film about her father.

The presenter’s famous parent Sharon Osbourne is currently working on a biopic of her husband, rocker Ozzy Osbourne, and Kelly is determined to land one of the lead roles, though she is concerned about the prospect of some of the scenes.

She said, “I’ll definitely audition to play my mum. I don’t know if I’ll get it, but Mum has always said that I should go for it because we’re so alike. But it’d be a bit weird having to make out with someone playing my dad!”

If Kelly does land the part, she won’t be starring alongside Colin Farrell, despite recent speculation linking the Phone Booth actor to the role of the former Black Sabbath frontman.

She explained in her column for Closer magazine, “It’s been rumoured that Colin Farrell is playing my dad in the film of his life, which my mum is producing. With the greatest respect, at 34 Colin’s just too old for the role!

“We need someone who’s about 18, and my mum and the film makers want to get an unknown actor.”

Kim Cattrall has received an honorary fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University.

The Sex and the City 2 actress, who was born in the British city before moving to Canada as a child, addressed students at the university’s graduation ceremony at the Anglican cathedral in Liverpool, congratulating them on achieving their degrees.

She said, “This is as much about family as it is about one individual. My family is here with me today. My mother, my aunties, my cousins, my friends.

“They have given me such confidence to make me believe that I could achieve anything I wanted to if I worked hard enough and I stayed true to myself.

“To all of you graduating today, I want to offer my heartfelt congratulations – you’ve worked damned hard.”

The 53-year-old star also encouraged people to continue learning and to maintain their roots with Liverpool – famed for producing music legends including The Beatles and Holly Johnson from band Frankie Goes to Hollywood.

She said, “I encourage you all to not stop learning. When you stop growing, you get old. May that never happen to you.

“This represents an enormous step in your lives. And after today you will be graduates of Liverpool John Moores University wherever you go in the world.

“Even if you get as far as the Wirral or Warrington, you will always have a part of Liverpool in your heart. You will never walk alone.

“I am proud of my roots in Liverpool, I feel part of this city. Thank you for bringing me home.”
