The ‘We Made You’ hitmaker, who raises his 14-year-old child Hailie, 17-year-old adopted niece Alaina and former wife Kim’s seven-year-old girl Whitney – admits it is growing increasingly different to show his love for the trio as they get older.

He said, “It’s a catch-22: I want to, as a father, express my love for my girls, but I don’t want to go too far with it, where it becomes a hindrance in their lives. When they were younger… it was easier.”

The 37-year-old star, whose records have infamously mocked other people in the public eye, has previously battled an addiction to prescription drugs and admits his problems started when he “ran out” of enemies to target.

He explained to Spin magazine, “I was trapped in my head. I’d spent most of my career going against the grain. Calling bulls**t. And suddenly, I started running out of enemies.

“I started to become that cliche – my own worst enemy.”

The Detroit-born star also revealed he sometimes goes back to the poverty-stricken neighbourhood where he grew up to remind himself of how far he has come in life.

He said, “It may sound corny, but I’ll go by and try to remember how things were when I was in those houses.

“I’ll go back and remember, like, f**k, man, how life was back then. How much of a struggle it was. As time goes by, you might get content and forget things.”

Nick Jonas made a heart-shaped pizza for his rumoured girlfriend last night, July 22.

The Jonas Brothers singer prepared the romantic culinary treat for his ‘Les Miserables’ co-star Lucie Jones, 17, at a Pizza Express restaurant in Soho, London, to mark one of their final nights out together before he returns to Los Angeles after completing his run in the stage production.

The crusty Cupid had asked the eatery if the pair could come in one night after closing time for the unique date before he flies back to the US.

A source said, “He put in a request to the restaurant. He specifically asked for a midnight pizza-making session for him and Lucie. She was thrilled with the effort he made and the pizza he made was delicious as well.”

The 17-year-old singer is reportedly keen to keep his romance with the Welsh beauty, who shot to fame after appearing on UK TV talent show ‘The X Factor,’ under wraps as he doesn’t want to upset his legions of fans.

A source said, “Nick is pretty smitten but nothing is official yet not least because his fanbase would be gutted if he was to announce he was no longer single.”

Nick later tweeted about how much fun he had had making the pizzas topped with love.

The 35-year-old actress dons a masculine disguise in scenes for her new action movie ‘Salt’ and couldn’t resist taking the costume home to play a prank on now eight-year-old Maddox, the eldest of her six children.

She said, “I loved doing it, it was the weirdest feeling. I came in and said, ‘Somebody go get Mad, and tell him that there’s a man downstairs.’ He loves the military. ‘There’s a military man that he’s met with mom once and he should come down and meet him again.’

“And he came in and just like any seven year old, he was so almost bored, having to come meet this man, and he said, ‘Hi.’ I just put my hand out, and he said, ‘Hi’, trying to be really polite but really not interested.

“Then I said, in my own voice, ‘Hi honey.’ And he said, ‘Mom?’ And then I said, ‘I get so crazed,’ and he sat and watched me peel the whole thing off and laughed about it, but was definitely like, ‘Don’t do that again.’ ”

Angelina also revealed partner Brad Pitt was set for a cameo role in ‘Salt’ – but had to stay at home and look after their children on the day filming was scheduled.

She added to Teen Hollywood, “We almost had him as the motorcycle guy in ‘Salt’. There’s a guy I knock off his motorcycle and take it and speed off somewhere. We wanted to have Brad on the bike. But, he was with the kids that day, so we couldn’t work it out.”

In the film, Angelina plays Evelyn Salt, a woman accused of being a sleeper agent, who is on the run to try and clear her name.

The reality TV star loves being an aunt to seven-month-old nephew Mason, her sister Kourtney’s son, but admits it’s put her off having children because she’s seen how hard it is to be a parent.

Samantha Ronson visited Lindsay Lohan in prison yesterday, July 22.

The DJ, who has remained friends with the troubled actress since they split in 2009, turned up at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, at around 1.40pm, where she spent about an hour inside talking with Lindsay.

After being asked how the 24-year-old star was coping in jail, Samantha said, “How do you think she’s doing? What a stupid f***ing question.”

The prison usually only allows inmates to be visited by friends and family on weekends, but because of security reasons, the detention center has allowed Lindsay to see people outside these hours for her own safety.

She was previously visited by her mother Dina and sister Ali on Wednesday, July 21, just one day after she started her 90-day prison sentence for violating the terms of her probation for her 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) charge.

After visiting Lindsay yesterday, Samantha, 32, chatted to the actress’ lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley, who had visited her client with her former attorney Blair Berk earlier in the day.

Despite Samantha’s negative remark, Shawn is adamant Lindsay is learning to cope with life inside.

She said, “She’s good. She’s doing better every day.”

Lindsay is expected to serve around two weeks of her sentence, leaving either on August 1 or August 2.

Within 24 hours of her release, she will need to check into a rehabilitation centre for 90 days.

Although she is taking visitors, the ‘Mean Girls’ actress has banned her estranged father Michael Lohan from seeing her.

The blogger’s ex-fiancee Kate Major filed a restraining order against him on Wednesday, July 21, claiming he threw her out of a chair into a wall and kicked her in the face on Monday, July 19. He has now been charged with second degree harassment relating to the incident.

He said, “I have more important issues to deal with than Kate Major. The last few months have been hard with her, and dozens of people will come forward to say why. I’m tired of being used by people who need to make up stories to make money off of others.”

She added, “He’s amazing and we both wanted to make an action movie so we were both game for doing whatever we could. We were really lucky on this movie that nobody got injured and we were really safe but considering what we were doing we were really lucky.”

Tom, 48, also stepped out on the red carpet last night to meet his fans and praised Cameron, 37, for her work in the movie.

He said, “It was fantastic. Cameron’s incredible – everyone loves her. She’s just so warm and talented and a genuinely lovely person to work with.”

The two megastars play a fugitive couple battling to stay alive in the comedy action flick.

I want to feel I can go 18 hours on set, if we have to, working, working, working, and feel confident about my health. So when I’m working, I’m really disciplined. When I’m not working, I’m very undisciplined.”

The 28-year-old beauty, who is dating hunky pop star Justin Timberlake, admits she loves tucking into her favourite foods, but is restricted to what she can eat.

The ‘Charlie St. Cloud’ star has just been on vacation to Hawaii with his younger brother Dylan and the thrill-seeking pair weren’t afraid to leap off a 35ft cliff into the ocean when they found a spectacular waterfall.

He said, “I kicked off the summer by taking my little brother, Dylan, on a graduation trip to Hawaii. He’s going off to college next year, and I’ve been working very hard, so we haven’t been able to see each other as much as we would have liked to in the past few years. We hiked through the inner jungle in Maui, and you come across these really beautiful spots. We found this hidden place where there was an enormous waterfall and cliff jump. It was about a 35ft drop.”

Zac, who shot to fame in the ‘High School Musical’ movies, insists he is fairly fearless in his life and is the kind of person who likes to convince others to try out crazy things.

The 22-year-old star added to Parade magazine, “Once you’ve done it, the funny part is trying to convince someone else to jump off, too. I’m the one who’s always saying, ‘Go for it, go for it – jump!’ And then when you come up out of the water, you feel fantastic.”
