Well doesn’t that suck the big banana. Poor little Lindsay Lohan failed to impress the judge and as a result has found in violation of her probation and has been sentenced to spend 90 days in the Los Angeles Country Jail.

Not only that but she is going to have to spend 90 days in an inpatient substance abuse program.

Today’s hearing stemmed from Lohan’s 2007 collar on drunken driving and cocaine possession charges. The actress spent 84 minutes in jail that year as part of her sentence and was given three years probation.

Lohan, who turned 24 on Friday, dressed demurely in a black top and dark pants, listened as an official from her alcohol education program testified that the once promising movie star sent in excuses for missing her court-ordered classes that ranged from the death of her uncle (whose funeral she did not attend) to being stuck in North Carolina.

“I believe she had nine absences altogether” between December 2009 and July 2010, Cheryl Marshall co-owner of the Right On program testified at today’s probation violation hearing.

An emotional Lindsay cried as Judge Revel sent down her ruling.

“I wasn’t expecting any special treatment, except that I have to prove for myself,” Lindsay said between sobs. “I did do everything that I was told to do and did… I’m not taking this as a joke, this is my life and my career… It did wake me up, it scared me.”

Lohan has been ordered to surrender by 8:30AM on July 20. She will be allowed to remove her SCRAM alcohol-monitoring device at that time.

The ‘Girlfriend’ singer and ‘The Hills’ actor, who began dating in February, have decided to show their love and devotion to each other by having each other’s names etched onto their bodies.

Avril’s ‘Brody’ inking is next to her right breast while Brody’s ‘Avril’ tattoo is on his inner arm.

A source told X17Online, “They may not have been together that long but Avril and Brody are obviously devoted to each other and these tattoos just got to show that.”

George Clooney to stand in a Milan courtroom later this month.

The ‘Up in the Air’ star will attend court on July 16 to testify against three people accused of using his name for a fashion label.

The 49-year-old actor is to testify as a civil plaintiff at the fraud trial in the Italian business and fashion capital.

And Judge Pietro Caccialanza has ordered extra security to protect the Oscar-winning actor from the huge numbers of fans expected to attend.

According to AFP, the judge said “There will be a lot of people, I imagine.”

However, Judge Caccialanza promised fans the extra security would not prevent them from seeing the Hollywood star, insisting they would have the chance “to come close to their hero”.

The fraud case originally began in April 2008, when three still unnamed people were accused of fraud, forgery and possession of stolen goods while preparing for a fashion show at a Milan hotel.

George is a regular visitor to Italy where he has a villa on Lake Como, north of Milan, and is currently dating Italian actress-and-model Elisabetta Canalis.

The ‘Careless Whisper’ singer lost control of his Range Rover in the early hours of Sunday morning, July 4, after attending the Gay Pride parade in London on Saturday, July 3, and ploughed into the door of photo store Snappy Snaps.

The 47-year-old pop star, who only recently ended a two-year driving ban, was arrested by police at 3.35am on suspicion of being unfit to drive.

The Hampstead shop in north London was left with a broken door and shattered windows from the force of the impact.

George was released on bail until next month.

A police spokesman told Britain’s The Sun newspaper, “A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive.”

The singer’s spokesman has so far refused to comment on the incident.

George’s erratic behavior once again raises concerns over his lifestyle.

He was arrested in September 2008 after being caught in a public toilet in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana.

A year previously he was handed 100 hours community service for drug driving after being found slumped at the wheel of his Mercedes car by police.

George – who is in a long-term relationship with art dealer Kenny Goss – also admitted he was frustrated that people judge him for his drug use and penchant for casual gay sex.

He said, “People want to see me as tragic with all the cottaging and drug-taking. I don’t see them as weaknesses any more. It’s just who I am.

“I’ve done different things at different times that I shouldn’t have done, once or twice, you know. Of course, nobody wants to regularly smoke crack.”

The ‘Fight for This Love’ hitmaker, who collapsed at a photo shoot in north London on Saturday, July 3, is believed to have picked up the potentially deadly disease after getting bitten by a mosquito while holidaying in Tanzania with dancer Derek Hough last month.

The insider added, “He’s mortified by what happened and is utterly devastated at what she’s going through – not least because it happened on a trip he’d planned.

“It’s such a shame as she had such a lovely holiday with Derek and has such lovely memories of it. He is worried sick about her. He’s sticking close by her bedside and trying to keep her cheerful.”

Initially, it was believed the 27-year-old singer was suffering from severe exhaustion and gastroenteritis and had been working too hard on the new series of pop star search show ‘The X Factor’ and on her second solo album.

A statement from Cheryl’s representative has confirmed she is canceling all work commitments until she has made a full recovery.

The statement read, “Following doctor’s advice Cheryl Cole will be canceling all work commitments for the next week.”

Blake Fielder-Civil blames his ex-wife Amy Winehouse’s fame for his drug addiction.

Blake, 26, whose divorce from the ‘Rehab’ singer was finalized in August 2009, insists drugs became readily available to both him and Amy, 26, when she became successful, and they indulged.

Speaking to new! magazine, Blake said, ,”It started after a few years. At first, we both enjoyed having a good time, but there were no drugs.

“But as soon as Amy started getting recognised, more drugs started coming into the equation. That, coupled with the massive fame she experienced, perhaps made her indulge in certain choices that I made that she wouldn’t have in the past.”

Blake is full of praise for Amy for overcoming her addictions but believes there were many people who would have been happier if she had stayed on drugs.

He said, “People have got to remember that she’s come out of it and turned her life around when there were probably 20 or 30 people around her at some stage that would have had every interest in keeping her on drugs and made a lot of money out of her. Like me, she’s managed to come out the other side.”

Blake does admit that he and Amy were a bad influence on each other, and their relationship – which on occasions turned violent – was ultimately destructive.

He said, “At the time, we were so scared of being separated from each other that we didn’t trust other people’s motives. You just end up imploding and drugs took that pain away.

“We did try and make wholehearted attempts to stop on a few occasions and went to rehab clinics, but it just wasn’t working.

Speaking about the physical and emotional pain of drug addiction, Blake added, “You wake up and you’re poorly. Then you have to see somebody you don’t really like to pick up drugs, pay a massive amount of money and then perhaps you can function throughout the day. The nature of addiction is that you have to persevere in it, otherwise the physical sickness you get is unbearable.”
