They say some people are crazy, and the story of former ESPN Analyst Steve Phillips’ mistress Brooke Hundley, who as well as allegedly impersonating one of Phillips’ kids also managed to crash her car into his house after sending a letter to Phillip’s wife detailing his private parts might fit the definition.

Hundley had disappeared from public view since October last year, until appearing on CBS’s “The Early Show” in June to give “her side of the story” which included completely failing to address any of her rather interesting behavior.

We do feel sorry for people with mental illness, not that we know Hundley suffers it, but if she did we’d fell sorry for her. Except for one small little thing: we’ve received eight emails from her (at the time of writing) threatening to sue us over the pictures in our post from October last year covering her story.

Now under the DMCA, we’re obliged to comply with a request where it’s formally structured, but Hundley doesn’t seem to get basics, such as demonstrating that she owns the photos.

It gets better, because as we chatted to Hundley, she claimed among other things that she took the pictures herself, which sounds all very well and good until you notice that both pics show Hundley’s arms pointing down, suggesting they were taken by a third party. She also accuses us of hacking into her Facebook account and stealing the photos, despite the photos being freely available online (see the screenshot above from Google Images.)

She claims that she has hired a legal team that will come and get us, despite the fact that she sent the faulty notice herself. Oh, and as I pointed out to her, she’d have to sue me in Australia anyway

We’re not unreasonable people, and we always comply with the DMCA, but this is just bizarre.

Cheryl Cole is reportedly house-hunting in Hollywood.

The pop star, who flew out to Los Angeles on Friday, July 31, after overcoming malaria, is looking for a property in Los Angeles with the help of rumoured boyfriend Derek Hough because she wants to launch her career in the US.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, Cheryl has already line-up a “string of meetings with top estate agents to find her perfect pad”.

The pair are currently staying in a villa at the Sunset Marquis hotel in West Hollywood as Cheryl decides what properties she is going to look at.

The Girls Aloud member, who took five weeks off from all work commitments as she battled the potentially fatal disease, will be in America for the next few weeks for a series of business meetings.

Cheryl is due to return to her role as a judge on Simon Cowell’s UK pop star search show ‘The X Factor’ in the last week of August but before that she is scheduled to have a casual lunch with producers at the Fox network, the company that is airing the upcoming US version of the show.

She will also be meeting bosses at ABC to discuss the possibility of competing on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ on which Derek is one of the professional dancers.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper, “Cheryl has spoken to Simon and assured him she will be raring to go by the end of this month. But, in the meantime, she refuses to sit and do nothing. She is meeting execs at Fox who are keen to see what all the fuss is about, while Derek has also lined her up for casual talks with the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ crew.”

Cheryl and Derek have also arranged to have dinner one night with his sister Julianne Hough and her rumoured boyfriend ‘American Idol’ host Ryan Seacrest.

Lindsay Lohan is “ready” to leave prison.

The troubled actress, who is expected to be released from the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, as early as today, August 2, is desperate to leave and be reunited with her family before she starts her court-ordered 90-day rehab stay.

Lindsay’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley said, “She is ready.”

Judge Marsha Revel handed Lindsay a 90-day jail term and ordered her to enter a rehabilitation facility straight after her release for breaking the terms of her probation for a 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) charge.

But Lindsay’s lawyer is still fighting to get the 24-year-old star some time with her loved ones first.

Holley said, “It’s up to the judge. I am hoping she’ll have some time with her family before she goes to rehab. She’s trying to comply with all the courts orders, but she should she able to spend 24 hours at home, in my opinion.”

It has been claimed Lindsay will be treated at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles instead of Morningside Recovery facility as planned – after two court-appointed psychiatrists told Judge Revel they felt it would better fit Lindsay’s needs.

Gossip website TMZ reported, “It was the facility favoured by everyone because the treatment program was perfectly suited for Lindsay’s psychiatric and drug problems.

“We’re told Lindsay will not be in the psych ward – rather this is an intense specialised program to deal with psychological, as well as addiction problems.”

Alicia Keys married her fiance Swizz Beatz yesterday, August 1.

The ‘Empire State of Mind’ singer, who is five months pregnant with the couple’s first child, tied the knot with the music producer on the French island of Corsica.

Alicia, 29, wore an ivory silk, Grecian-inspired gown designed by Vera Wang with crystal-encrusted flat sandals, an elegant headband and a bouquet of purple calla lilies.

The groom, real name Kaseem Dean, wore a Tom Ford tuxedo with an ivory jacket.

Celebrity guests included U2 rocker Bono and Queen Latifah, while the ceremony was conducted by the couple’s close friend Deepak Chopra – who was a close friend of Michael Jackson’s before his death.

This is the first marriage for Alicia, while 31-year-old Swizz has been wed before and has two sons.

Swizz took to twitter after the ceremony to express his joy.

He tweeted, “Wowwwwwwwwww.”

And later wrote, “It’s a brand new day I feel like Nas and Diddy song love y’all and blessing! (sic)”

Alicia announced her pregnancy and engagement in May, with a friend saying at the time, “She is thrilled. She is with the man who has inspired so much of her music.”

Well, our long national nightmare is over.

Lindsay Lohan has been freed from her stint in a California women’s prison after 13 long days of incarceration. There were hysterical fits, there were protests and it was alleged the troubled starlet didn’t even have a pillow to sleep on, but Lohan still had to serve thirteen WHOLE days of her original 90 day sentence before being whisked away to a rehab center in the wee hours of the morning by a convoy of police vehicles.

Lohan, under the supervision of the L.A. County Probation Department, was popped from the joint at 1:35am Pacific, and checked in to the UCLA Medical Center at 1:54am. There was even a cunning ruse to trick paparazzi!

In an elaborate plot to diffuse media interest, two black Cadillac Escalades drove from Lynwood to the high-end residential facility Morningside Recovery in Orange County, where Lohan had been slated to check-in.

As for her rehab destination, Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s spokesman Steve Whitmore would only say:

“She has been sent directly to her next destination, which is a treatment center… this concludes her custody,” Whitmore told waiting media, outside the jail.

Judge Martha Revel changed the location of Lohan’s rehab this past weekend amid concerns the actress could acquire drugs in the facility at which she was originally expected to arrive.

James Van Der Beek, the actor who pretty much looks exactly the same as he did sixteen years ago playing the titular Dawson on Dawson’s Creek, has married girlfriend and babymama model Kimberly Brook, Dawson tells us on Twitter.

Van Der Beek first tweeted:

Elizabeth Taylor will wear a jewel-encrusted turban worth $3 million at her wedding.

The screen legend is splashing out the huge sum on the headdress for her upcoming union to her long-time companion Jason Winters, a Los Angeles-based talent agent who, at 49, is 29 years younger than the 78-year-year-old retired actress.

The bridal crown is adorned with a precious 30 carat centre stone and two huge 40 carat round yellow canary diamonds and has been designed by Keith Holman, who previously worked with Bill Whitten on a number of stage outfits for Michael Jackson during his 1980s heyday.

Holman exclusively told BANG Showbiz, “There is a 30 carat centre stone, two yellow canary diamonds 40 carat round and the headpiece is partially platinum. I’m currently working with the jeweler, Christian Tse, based in Pasadena, and they do private labeling for some of the biggest jewelers in the world and they are making the turban for me, they are adding the stones on. It’s taking about 12 artists to work on this piece and it will have a silver and gold fabric and is being hand-woven. It’s absolutely gorgeous and a one-of-a-kind piece, never to be duplicated.”

As well as the turban, Holman is also designing Taylor’s wedding dress, which will be an extravagant kaftan to match the luxurious headwear.

Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Stallone, who will be attending the wedding ceremony and is close friends with Keith and Elizabeth revealed, “Keith is doing the dress as well. I imagine it will be some sort of a kaftan. It’s not quite white, it’s going to be a flesh colour.

“But if you see her turban, I mean the stones, the jewels, are amazing. She loves stones and $3 million means nothing to her.”

The wedding is due to take place later this year, and will be attended by around 200 guests, however, the venue is being kept secret.

Those lucky enough to be invited will only find out by telephone call as no invites are being sent out so to keep it under wraps.

Jackie revealed to BANG Showbiz: “Invitation will be by phone call and word-of-mouth. It’s not going to be one of these formal things. To have the kind of affair they’re putting together it’s got to be like that. It will be a garden party, but apart from that I don’t know where it will be.”

Katie Price has signed a deal to write a new series of autobiographies.

The British star releases her fourth autobiography in October but has agreed to pen more tomes on her life after that.

She said, “My next autobiography comes out in October and then I start filming my new TV series straight away. So I’m pretty busy as always! Then I’ve got another book deal to do another autobiography.”

Katie, who this week released her latest novel ‘Paradise,’ hopes to be able to bring out an update on her life story every couple of years because she knows there is huge interest in what she does.

The former glamour model, who is married to cage-fighter Alex Reid, told BANG Showbiz, “The publishers might want them yearly, every two years, because they’re big successes and there’s always a story to tell. Everyone will just have to wait and see!”

The last two years have seen many changes in Katie’s life with her divorcing Peter Andre in 2009 and marrying Alex in February 2010 in a private Las Vegas ceremony. The couple also had their union blessed earlier this month at a church near their Surrey home.

And as well reading about her life, Katie’s fans could soon be about to see her story told on the big screen.

The 32-year-old brunette beauty, who has three children, Harvey, eight, Junior, five, and three-year-old Princess Tiaamii, from her previous relationships said, “There are producers who want to start doing the film once the next book is out in October. I’ve already got a director and producer in America.”

Janet Jackson is “moving on” from her brother Michael Jackson’s death.

The singer, whose older sibling, the late King of Pop, died on June 25 last year, still thinks about him every day but is trying hard to enjoy life and look towards the future.

She said, “There isn’t a day goes by even now that I don’t think about Michael, where we don’t all think about him. But right now, I’m in a better space and I’m moving on with my life. At time it can be hard. But I’m growing and learning and loving. I’m enjoying my life very much and I’ve learnt that life is precious.”

Determined to make the most of life, the 44-year-old singer still feels like a “kid inside”, and spends a lot of time with younger colleagues and her 25 nieces and nephews in a bid to stay feeling youthful.

She explained, “To be honest with you, I still feel that I’m very much a kid inside. Yes, I’m 44 and enjoying many aspects of that. I like the feeling of maturity it gives me. But at the same time, I feel a huge connection with, say, 20 year olds like the dancers I work with – we do a great deal of bonding. And a lot of my nieces and nephews are in their 20s, so we’re close. Maybe it’s the kid in them speaking to the kid in me. They’re young adults, still learning. They have that energy and love of life, and I think I still have that too.”

Janet’s bond with these family members is so strong, she admits they often turn to her when they are in trouble.

She added to You magazine, “I get texts and emails all day long from them… Aunty Janet this and Aunty Janet that. I’m the aunt that they come to when they’re going to get in trouble. You know, ‘I just got a tattoo, or a piercing. And my dad saw it last night and he ants to choke me! Can you talk to him, Aunty Janet?”
