“The Amazing Spider-Man” won’t reach theaters in the United States until July 3 but that hasn’t stopped the movies team from dropping in on audiences and highlighting some of the new movies footage.

Sony Pictures this week took to 13 cities around the globe to promote the film with stops in Mexico City, Berlin, Rome, Paris and Moscow, Los Angeles, New York, Rio de Janeiro and London.

At the events visitors were first greeted with the 3-D full-length trailer for Amazing Spider-Man. In the footage Andrew Garfield is shown portraying both the bullied Peter Parker and in his familiar role as Spidey. Viewers are also greeted with their first look at the villainous Lizard.

Speaking to the audience in Los Angeles director Marc Webb revealed:

“I think there are a lot of things from the Spider-Man canon that haven’t yet been explored cinematically. This movie really starts off with Peter Parker and his parents, which is something we’ve never really seen before, and I think that was something we were all really interested in exploring as filmmakers.”

Garfield in the meantime appeared in New York City where he said that the next person to play Spider should be “half-hispanic and half-African-American” like the current reincarnation of the Spider-Man comic book character.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reality TV star Lisa Vanderpump says she felt ambushed during Part 1 of the shows reunion episode, an ambush she says likely happened because she was “out of the loop.”

Vanderpump appeared on Good Day LA to discuss the barrage in which she says she was out of touch with the shows other female stars because she was busy planning her daughter’s wedding and opening a new restaurant while the other ladies were working together to go after her and her actions on the popular reality TV series.

When host Steve Edwards joked about the other ladies gaining up on her on purpose she agreed and said it was an elaborate conspiracy in which  ”Adrienne did say to Brandi, ‘Oh, let’s meet the night before,’ and Brandi declined. I know that for a fact.”

Drama between Vanderpump is nothing new, at one point Adrienne Maloof claimed that she was selling gossip to Radar Online, a rumor that the celebrity gossip website has since denied. Maloof and Vanderpump also have competing shoe lines for which Vanderpump nicknamed Maloof’s shoeline “The Maloof Hoof.”

It’s still unclear what type of “ambushing” might occur when the second half of the Reunion special airs but you can find out via the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion Part 2 which first airs on Monday at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.

Anne Hathaway spent some time on Saturday night to celebrate her engagement to fiancé Adam Shulman as the 29-year-old actress celebrated her upcoming marriage.

The party wasn’t by any means a small time event with 125-people in attendance at the Housing Works Bookstore Café in downtown Manhattan.

Unlike many Hollywood type parties Hathaway strayed away from inviting Hollywood’s elite and instead only asked family and friends to attend the engagement party.

The lack of celebrity guests doesn’t really surprise us, unlike many Hollywood pairings that seem “made for photos” Hathaway truly seems smitten with her beau, stating in November “we hit if off immediately” while adding that she is “very much in love with him.”

Without her normal “insiders” in attendance details about the actresses engagement party are pretty sparse.

Three years ago Chris Brown attacked then-girlfriend Rihanna on their way to a pre-Grammy party, that assault led to five years of probation after being charged with a felony attack. Now three years later Chris Brown is returning to the show that almost ended his career.

Brown was unofficially announced as the Grammy’s newest performer on Monday night by an unidentified source.

Since watching his career nearly hit rock bottom Chris Brown has bounced back with the multi-hit album ”F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies)” which has received three Grammy nodes including best R&B album.  Brown also has nominations in ”Look at Me Now” which which is also nominated for best rap song and best rap performance.

Also performing on Grammy night is Rihanna who has been nominated for four Grammy’s including album of the year for her platinum selling album “Loud.”

Chris Brown has not attended the Grammy awards ceremony since his attack against Rihanna in 2009, even after he was nominated for three awards in 2011.

In February 2011 a judge eased the restraining order against Chris Brown and Rihanna’s lawyer said she didn’t object to the stay-away provisions being halted. The stay-away restriction was lessened from 150 feet to just 30 feet.

CBS will air the Grammy Awards live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

I wonder if there will be any awkward moments shared between the former power couple at the show.

Jennifer Zuiker, the estranged wife of CSI creator Anthony Zuiker revealed this week in court documents that he currently earns $25,000 per episode for each of three different CSI’s are currently on the air, money she claims probably isn’t deserved.

Zuiker in court documents obtained this week claims that Anthony hasn’t given her a dime in child or spousal support since she decided to file for divorce in April 2011.

Jennifer is asking for $1 million to cover lawyer and accountant fees as the couple continue to work out a long term financial agreement. Zuiker has also asked a judge to approve $54,282 in monthly support, only a fraction of the $158,827 Jennifer claims she spends monthly which includes:

– personal living expenses …………$91,882
– children’s personal expenses … $5,236
– costs related to houses ………….. $61,710

Anthony’s estranged wife claims that he makes $1.6 million per year just from the CSI franchise for which she states:

“It has not been determined what, if anything, [Anthony] is doing to earn those funds.”

Anthony’s wife also claims that he’s earning a bunch of money for Chameleon a new show he’s developing for ABC. Jennifer claims Anthony is also banking a bunch of cash from a new show he’s developing for ABC called “Chameleon” … plus, she believes he’s also getting paid for various speaking engagements.

A divorce hearing is set for March to determine what Jennifer Zuiker will receive from the CSI heavyweight.

In the meantime perhaps they should bring in a police unit to investigate their case and come up with a last minute solution that leaves us on the edge of our seats. Oh wait, Anthony Zuiker already does that three times a week.

Sasha Grey, the retire porn star who has also been featured on the HBO series Entourage, made headlines last year when she was a featured reader at Emerson Elementary School in Compton, California to read to underprivileged kids.  Now one of the companies that used to film Grey doing her “thing” has decided to use part of the proceeds from Grey’s last film  “Anal Artists,” to help promote literacy among kids. They announced that a portion of the sales would go to the National Education Association’s Read Across America Program.

The National Education Association, which is the country’s largest teacher’s union said in a statement to the Huffington Post that they were not interested in the money or the actress.  The Statement said,

“Sasha Grey is not affiliated with the National Education Association’s Read Across America program nor has she been invited or endorsed by NEA to read at any of the association’s Read Across America Day events, and NEA will not accept any proceeds from her latest, or any of her films,”

Howard Levine of Exile Distribution, who is in charge of the company who is releasing “Anal Artists said the NEA was discriminating against them.  He said in a statement,

“Anyone that’s supporting reading and helping kids and donating money to their cause should be accepted. I don’t understand why they would not accept that — only the fact she was in adult films. I understand their position — they don’t want to be associated with any adult film stars. I think that everybody has a slanted opinion on what the adult film community is so I know that they’re trying to be politically correct.”.

Sasha Grey stood her ground herself over the issue saying she has every intention of continuing to be involved witht he education and illiteracy issues.

She said,

“Promoting education is an effort that is close to my heart. Illiteracy contributes to poverty; encouraging children to pick up a book is fundamental. I committed to this program with the understanding that people who have their own opinions about what I have done, who I am and what I represent. … I have a past that some people may not agree with, but it does not define who I am.”

She also sent out a tweet thanking the NEA and Read Across America for supporting her decision to stay involved.

The NEA said they couldn’t figure out why she would say that because,

“At no time has NEA sent letters or messages of support (or otherwise) or any other communications to Ms. Grey,” according to an NEA statement Monday.

19 Kids and Counting family the Duggars were recently the target of an extortion scheme that was investigated by federal officials and eventually led to the arrest of an Iowa woman believed to be the mastermind behind the extortion plot.

That female, Teresa Hunt, was charged in U.S. District Court with one count of extortion after allegedly demanding that the family’s show be cancelled or he be paid 10,000 from TLC parent Discovery Communications. In exchange she would not release photos of Duggar family members involved in “apparently intimate situations.”

Federal authorities arrested Hunt on Wednesday after completely a sting operation in which a federal agent posed as a representative for  Discovery Communications.

Radar Online reported that the photos were of 25-year-old Amy Duggar, daughter of Jim Bob Duggar’s older sister. Amy was allegedly in a compromising situation with an older man.

According to Amy the women’s story is a lie and the man in question is a “longtime family friend” and nothing more.

With their squeaky clean image still in place I have to admit that I found this story hard to swallow the moment I heard news of the extortion scheme. If you’re going to try and get money out of a TV celebrity at least try for a believable story, perhaps against Snooki or one of the “Real Housewives” cast members.

Thanks to the success of Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance and various successful dance focused movies the team at Step Up is once again back, this time with the Step Up 4 trailer which shows off some cool new movies and a killer beat.

As expected there’s a romance tied to the movies lead dancer and plenty of drama as teams battle for the right to be called the movies dance champions. Here’s the IMDB synopsis:

Emily arrives in Miami with aspirations to become a professional dancer. She sparks with Sean, the leader of a dance crew whose neighborhood is threatened by Emily’s father’s development plans.

U2 front man and rock star Bono is set to be rolling in money very soon.  The rocker owns 1.5% of Facebook which is expected to go public soon.  If the social networking giant comes even close to the IPO valuation of $100 billion dollars that everyone is talking about, Bono will be worth more than $1 billion dollars.

This will set Bono hundreds of millions of dollars ahead of current richest rocker Paul McCartney.

Facebook is expected to go public next month in one of the largest IPO’s in history.

Facebook is currently sitting on a pile of cash from its ever increasing revenues.

As part of its initial filings with the SEC, Facebook now has more than 850 users and more than half of them sign on every single day. Company financials which were released said that  the company produced a $1 billion profit last year from $3.71 billion in revenues. The company derives 85% of those revenues from advertising, with the rest from social gaming and other fees.

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is expected to make more than $28 billion dollars from the IPO.  He has repeatedly shied away form going public in order to keep the company focused on making great products.  His slogan is,

“We don’t build services to make money; we make money to build better services,”

Until now Google Inc has had the largest IPO in history.  Facebook is looking to shatter that record.

Joan Rivers is 78-years-old and doesn’t look a day over 80. The talk show host and comedian recently revealed that she has undergone plastic surgery more than 700 times in her life.

Rivers said:

“Every weekend I just go in and I do something new. I get a 10th one free. It’s a little like coffee you just keep going.”

Melissa Rivers, Joan’s daughter, said that the family had a semi-intervention to get Joan to stop getting work done. Melissa said:

“At one point I start to think the risk outweighs the reward, so I wanted my mom to know how I felt about it and I think I made myself fairly clear.”

But Melissa’s message wasn’t well received. The Daily Telegraph reports that Joan offered to buy everyone in the room a procedure and everyone accepted.

Still, there’s one piece of body modification that the comedian hasn’t gotten yet. Joan Rivers still doesn’t have a tattoo… but she’s thinking about.

“I ended up not getting (the tattoo) because they put you in a room with mirrors and I was putting it on my ass and I took a look and I just got so depressed. I said, ‘Cover this right up…’ (maybe) on my 79th (birthday).”

If she does work up the courage to get a tattoo, she said that she’d probably get her phone number tattooed on her body. Joan said:

“Melissa wanted me to just put my home number, ‘If Lost, please call Betty White.”
